Alice puts her efforts and her loyalty to King Maddox of Abhainn, being quite fond of him and growing up to admire him. Though she was only able to become good friends with him, she has a lingering physical and emotional attraction towards him since her childhood. Alice associates herself with all those that follow him, but resents those that go against him or turn their back on him. She has a love for Abhainn and takes pride in her heritage, doing her utmost best to provide care and protection to all the people.

She is tall, standing at 5'10 with long, thick hair showing different shades of blonde through each straggly strand. With fair skin and a clear complexion, her expression is generally the same regardless of what she's feeling, showing little to no emotion through her face. Her mannerisms, on the other hand, are different depending on the situation. A ball calls for noble and feminine mannerisms, delicate and elegant, while the battlefield calls for more barbaric mannerisms. Being a participant in fair amount of battles, Alice is marked with scars on various parts of her body. None of them show any great damage, the majority of them being mere cuts from a blade. She has a small scar along her cheek that is incredibly subtle and often covered with makeup.

Alice's attire ranges from plate armor to beautiful gowns, having a very diverse wardrobe. Alice grew up as the daughter of Abhainn's military strategist. Her mother, being a fair lady of the kingdom attempted to raise her as a typical lady of court. With much failure, Alice walked in the footsteps of her father for as long as she could. Being a kid, the freedom to become who you want was granted and encouraged, but taken away once the child reached a primitive age in which it was required for the child to become who they're born to be. For Alice, that was a lady of a royal court, in which she never fit well as. It was strange for a girl child to be so fascinated with war and military politics, but Alice proved to many that she was different in this aspect.

It would be safe to assume that Alice's only interest was the work of her father, but her child-like nature would find it's way out and the enjoyment of other children was much appreciated. Although, one in particular was always enjoyed more than others. The Prince Maddox, charming and handsome to Alice ever since she laid eyes on him, the one boy that would make Alice feel as if she were a normal girl. It wasn't just his appearance and his mannerisms that would draw Alice in, but the respect that he had was something to admire, especially with how awkward and different Alice was. She did everything in her power to be near to him, but there came a time in which, not just them, but all children were required to grow up to become the succeeding generation of noble men and woman. Alice would sneak out to see him sometimes, not to fancy him or seduce him, but to enjoy his company and laugh as if they were still children.

Aside from love interests, growing up for Alice involved the hilt of a blade in one hand and the handle of a buckler in the other, her loving father unable to take this strange hobby from her. It wasn't long before her father became ill and the war officers were in distress to find a replacement. As many heroic tales would go, Alice would be the assumed successor for the role, but the sexism that existed strongly in this era casted that dream aside, though she was still welcomed to the table for strategic input. Instead of one person making the calls, it worked more like a democracy where the war officers voted on what actions were best, but Alice's talent with strategy became incredibly useful and her persuading words often lead to the better decisions, resulting in many victories. During these years, Alice finally partook in battle and even lead a legion of men once she became comfortable with the harshness of war and killing. It was kept quiet among the nobles since her victorious actions and her incredible battle prowess were seen as unladylike, but the rumors of the people spread and now it remains unknown whether Alice was the true battle-maiden that the people praised.

As of late, Alice is cooped up in the kingdom since a new military general was welcomed into the war room and Alice was ruled out of the military. It was a rough time being casted away from something she was so successful at, but she now tries to enjoy the noble life. The only positive part of becoming a full-time noblewoman is being closer to King Maddox, a childhood love interest whom still holds Alice's heart. Artemis is an ever-changing woman. For years, she was commanded, ordered, and trained to become a mold crafted by a system of leaders who relentlessly strived for control. Once bound by the chains of manipulation, she has broken free to become anew with bursting emotions that she can freely express without fear of consequences. The next chapter of her life unfolded into a complex chain of new beginnings, granting her the key to unlock so many doors that she never realized were available to her. Whom was once compliant and unresisting to her fearful overseers, has become a woman of fortitude while retaining the might of her zealous heart.

A soldier, a spy, a killer, an elite—they demanded it all. All in which she longs to forget, but stains her body and mind worse than the blood of her victims. Of the titles she collected, her pride remained on one—a protector. Although it came from sinister origins, the title sparked within her a hope for independence in which she now relishes in. Artemis is truly a protector, defending those that cannot defend themselves, or those that she deems worthy of protection. She rises from the ashes of the past, seeking nothing but to be greater than the woman she was yesterday, while remaining present to avoid her haunting roots. Eyes forward, she only glances back to realize the distance she’s traveled and the adversities she’s overcome.

Talented as Artemis may be, her charm doesn’t match her captivating beauty as her serious personality stays firm as steel. Her threatening blue eyes, that give both salvation and fear, glisten with ambition and pierce like a bullet. Her long, blonde hair shines even in the midst of combat and her body remains strong and toned while possessing a feminine curve. Romance has never been her strong suit, valuing her closed walls too much to protect her dignity and her new-found independence.

Soaring in various aircrafts, her escape has always been within the sky. Becoming a pilot of the Devlon Industries was always an honor, but Artemis strived to master this skill set, craving the high altitudes in times of stress or pain. The way the earth looked so small and the ability to travel far away from her troubles created the perfect outlet for a confined girl. Although she could run, she would always return, but with readiness to face her problems head-on. Artemis’ love for flying was soon noted, and what was a hobby was predictably turned into a way of killing. So she learned the controls of a much different aircraft, ones with complex components that dominated the skies and really placed the union’s name within the domain. With careful learning, they soon built her a signature war jet in which people identified as her pegasus, which made the jet adopt it’s winged aesthetics. Within it was her—Artemis, the Valkyrie.

"I did it all for him. I did everything for him."

The title made her father proud, the man that steered her life into a twisted, robotic destiny that was predetermined since her birth. While their connection was built on a foundation of fear and authority, she held onto the faint love tighter than her gun, despite its sparse existence. This caused her to obey for the sake of the bond she struggled to have, causing her to obediently become a needed weapon for the Devlon Industries. Artemis trained hard with mixed emotions that were bottled up beneath her soul, aching to unleash them, but burying them harshly.

"At times I felt like a robot, incapable of being my own person. And still, I did it for him."

Thus, Artemis proceeded with her life, doing as she was demanded, and performing her best with every task. From spying, to sending messages, to killing without reason—her life was made for her, but with only darkness to look forward to. Since the day she could remember, she had never made a choice of her own and held her opinions back, moving like a pawn in an army, utilizing her combined battle prowess with her eonic powers to become an icon of both hope and destruction for her union. She was known by many, and respected by many, yet the respect from her father was harder than wrestling a lion. Still, she fought, with strength and vigor, until her eyes could see beyond the darkness that adhered to her fate. What lied ahead was nothing but a repetitive life full of blood on her hands and knives in her back.

"Selfish as I was, I finally demanded my life back."

So Artemis opened her mind and unchained her soul, casting out her emotions and accepting the consequences of doing so. Her disobedience was accounted for, and her life was grasped tighter than what it was before, restricting her freedom in anyway that they could—but she evaded. Slipping through their fingers like water, like she was trained to do, Artemis broke free of their painful grip and attempted to lead a rebellion against the Devlon Industries. Although she wreaked havoc upon her controllers, she failed to overthrow the union and came out alone, despite the many followers she was able to muster.

"But does my fate lie at the point of his gun?"

Amidst the rebellion and behind the demolished buildings and ruthless killing, she came out with her treasured independence, but also her self-blame upon failing her loyal advocates just for the sake of, what she considered, a selfish act. So she escaped—soaring on her pegasus and through the dangerous skies, only to be shot down after a long chase through neutral terrain.

"I've accepted death long ago, but I somehow manage to flee from it's crosshairs."

Artemis, reluctantly, made it out alive, finding refuge in Helston. There, she kept her head low, and lived minimalistically thereafter. She got a job at a bakery and learned to love the art, soon taking it over from the elderly lady that opened it.

The tape continued to play among the broken and shattered parts of her pegasus, Artemis’ voice shaking with emotion.

“I remember being captivated by the colors of the field my father took me to when I was a little girl. I was so afraid to release the euphoria that encompassed my body, but he could see the shaking smile that I just couldn’t hold back. So he told me it was okay. Pink—that became my favorite color. The way the lotus petals danced around me pulled the strings of my condemned spirit, causing me to run around in a fit of joy, but I remember constantly looking over my shoulder at him to make sure that he didn’t have a change of heart. It’s a memorable moment for me, from the innocent happiness that I could finally let out. . .but also from the beauty turned evil.

He told me about the lotus flower, how it’s bloom used to be celebrated by many because they only survived for so long. Everything has meaning. Just like my purpose on this earth, the flowers, too, had a predetermined meaning. 'The shortness of life' he said. The flowers resembled the shortness of life, the lives that I would end, the insignificance of survival without purpose—all shattering the beauty I saw in the moment and turning my smile back into my frown. And yet, I remember this so vividly, even as I pressed the barrel of my gun against the head of my father, the commander of the Devlon Industries. I soon realized that he wasn’t the one that kept me aflame, but instead, he ignited the fire in my soul and I learned to nurture it.

Who knew I would be the one to send him to his grave. But still—I love him.”

Meredith Evans - The elderly woman that generously took in Artemis. Artemis hasn’t shared her history with her, but Meredith always said she could see people’s colors. Almost like a fortune-teller, Meredith always tells Artemis that her future is bright, and her aura is warming. The sweet woman is as sharp as a tack and still moves freely despite her aging body. Artemis has a very high respect for the woman, and would do anything for her.

Venser Sitol - Artemis owes a lot to Venser for helping her keep her identity hidden. Artemis was able to find the talented hacker after searching around Helston shortly after her arrival. After carefully explaining her situation, while leaving out details of her specific heritage, Venser agreed. She pays him with credits, yet she feels as though she owes him a lot more than just mere currency. Venser is a budding friend to Artemis, considering he knows more about her than anybody else in Helston, but she tries to keep an arms-length distance to avoid unintentionally revealing information about herself that she likes to keep confidential.

Steven - A bartender at a local pub that she visits often. Although she befriends nobody, she enjoys the company of the kind, burly man that serves her alcohol after a long day. Their conversation usually brightens her mood and helps her to forget her constant pain.

Jayce - A loyal customer to the bakery, coming in more times than he should in a week. It’s obvious that he has a crush on Artemis, but he knows that he’ll only face rejection.

While she mirrors a certain serenity as Siren, she also resembles a taste of malice similar to Shiva. Although the light is most likely to be seen as good and just, Archangel commits harsh retribution and has little forgiveness. The cult of Archangel are strong leaders, merciless yet respected and heroic. The cult are generally hard-working, determined, and unshaken. Prayer to Archangel are performed where the light shines brightest: open fields, peaks of mountains, summertime.

While many would prefer this, Sebastian never intended to join for rapacious reasons, but rather for the thrill and rewarding feeling that would come with the job. Since his return from being stationed, he’s left lost, becoming stagnant in his life. His aspiration still remains, but it is veiled by a thick fog. -

life at ritman high Sebastian came to the hierarchy much later than the rest of the students at Ritman High. Moving to the United States was a culture shock for him and he took a lot of time by himself to further learn the language and culture, as well as taking time for himself to properly cope with the events of his life. His father, a wealthy, mad scientist, and his mother, gone, had left him living in an unhealthy environment, exposed to the strange obscurities of his father’s work without any other family to call upon. In his own independence, Sebastian negotiated with his father and they agreed to allow him to move to the U.S. There, in the isolation of a large home with an unassertive, yielding nanny to care for him, he began anew. He lived with few rules and all the freedom he could’ve ever wanted, but never abused it for he has always had a dedicated complex embedded in his character. Sebastian had always lived headstrong, even when he resided in Germany, so his predicament had changed little. In spite of his private, undisclosed childhood, he found great distraction within Ritman High. Upon entry, he was already given the indentifier as the ‘Hot Foreign Jock’, even before joining the varsity football team. In the beginning, he talked very little, paying more attention to his academics and his extracurricular activities that he signed up for. As time went on, his nerves calmed and he felt more comfortable within the atmosphere, and he began to cycle in with the hierarchy of Ritman high, becoming involuntarily placed at the high-end of the pyramid. Sebastian engaged more with his classmates and spent a lot of his time bonding with his teammates, but all-the-while still adopting his quiet demeanor. His increasing involvement had led him to joining the NHS and it further amplified his determination with his academics and his sports. As he maintained his respectful and calm attitude, he was known to be the nicest of the jocks and a well-liked person all around. Except nobody ever got close to him and he remained a mystery to the student body. He didn’t have a single relationship, nor did he grow fond of any particular individual. As his highschool years passed, he eventually befriended a group of classmates that he would still consider his closest friends, despite still leaving them distant enough to not feel the need to expose himself entirely. For Sebastian, they were like his saving grace to his increasingly bad mind set. Growing up is hard, and for Sebastian, he could only mask his loneliness. Life for Sebastian during his time at Ritman High was all the things that it should’ve been—fun, eventful, productive—but he still felt the underlying emptiness that he tried so hard to fill with meager, teenage antics. Although such antics would be deemed as completion and accomplishment, he couldn’t deny the haunting feeling of his past that hung over his head like a dark, growing cloud of thunder. As he anticipated it’s strike, he fervently decided to join the marines for hope of purpose, assuming it would satisfy his aspirations and eliminate his self-hatred and developing feelings of worthlessness. And as he graduated with high hopes, he became recognized by his school for making this decision. His high school years were then seen as a huge success within his life, but such feelings are now swayed, believing he followed the wrong path for his life. In combat, he can also be seen creating strong force-fields around his arms, fists, or legs to increase the power of his strikes. He is moving on to being able to move/lift objects that he encases within his force-fields. psyche Growing up, Sebastian has always had a determined, independent, and impenetrable personality. He is as productive as he is independent, finding himself to prefer doing things on his own. This leads to his introversion and his avoidance of help when it comes to tasks he is required to do. Even from working as a team when he played football, even from learning cooperation and alliance from the marines, he still remains independent, but thanks to the two, it is much less extreme. On the contrary, he is a man that keeps to his word and doesn’t make promises unless he is sure to keep to them. In the small instances where he has failed someone or not seen a task to its completion, he is very hard on himself and generally doesn’t let go of his mistake. This aside, he is very productive and chooses to fill his time with things that will better him rather than fill it with enjoyment. Sebastian is often found thinking a lot, and he is more perceptive than judging. He tries to see things from all angles, regardless of how small the scenario may be. Sebastian tries to treat others the way he wishes to be treated. He doesn’t treat others with distaste and he is always respectful as can be. A lot of people call him old-school for his strong feelings towards respect and responsibility, but he appreciates this aspect of himself. Sebastian is also very observant and curious. He tries to learn as much as he can, ranging from the most minimal events to the biggest lectures of his life. Ritman High has taught Sebastian to enjoy life and friendship and happiness. But his character flaw is that if he invests too much time into enjoyment, he will have nothing to show for himself than the temporary feelings he creates in those instances. As of recent, he has been lost in a vortex of emotions, social constructs, and philosophy—he more commonly struggles with his views of himself more than he has in the past, unable to find the balance. And as time continues, his tired mind juggles more than it can handle. Sebastian doesn’t smile often, but when he does, it as genuine as ever. The majority of the time, he keeps a straight face and it is near impossible to determine what he’s thinking, for his mind is generally scattered with thoughts. The close friends he has made at Ritman High are what pull him away from his solitude and uplift him to a place where he feels the warmth of happiness, but he struggles to hold onto it. I'm thinking that her telepathy can probably better bypass a mind that has been made vulnerable or stripped of it's barriers. So maybe these instances would occur when someone would drink a potion or something like that. This way she's still well within the playing field!

Great character! Just a reminder: Lexie is still a very young vampire, which I'm sure you already know since you made her and all_heheh. To clarify, is she 43 in age or is she 23? If she's 43, her thirst for blood won't be as apparent, but if she's 23 and only been a vampire for 3 years, she'll have a lot of adversities to face, i.e: the hard-to-resist thirst for blood, the ability to blend in with the humans and seem 'normal', her empowered strength/agility, as well as her new-found telepathy.

With her telepathy, I'll set some boundaries so that you know the boundaries and whatnot of them, that way you'll understand how to write it out better. So, this is very dependent on her age and her experiences. Regardless if she's 43 or 23, those ages will experience similar difficulty, the only changes probably being upon humans instead of supernatural beings. There will be a vast variety of minds that she's exposed to. Most of the thoughts she hears are people that don't have 'protected minds'. I would say that this is a common trait for hunters, but I think I should add variance and make it among regular people as well--so if they're just cautious people or guarded people, they'd have a certain resistance. The hunters, though, know all-too-well about the supernatural realm and it's different capabilities, so they will have resistances just below that of supernaturals themselves. With mastery she could hear the deeper turmoils/fears/desires of people and approaching on hearing them of lesser supernatural beings. With Mastery (if she gets there) the powers require great concentration on vampires of equal or higher footing (she can be detected by them), cannot be used against witches, and can be used on wolves but not the pack (while the pack is communicating through telepathy)

The IC is finally up! Thank you all for your patience as I try to set everything up! I hope you enjoy the introduction as I tried my best to make it as appealing as possible but not a cluster fuck/wall of text to read.

If you haven't already, please try to establish relations between other characters! I know that we have a lot of characters that are new to Salem, so relations are not as crucial for them. I'm guilty of this as well, I need to create relations between other characters _heheh. BUT, I figured I could start things up to save from anymore time being wasted trying to establish everything right away.

ALSO! I have been working on the NPCs which is located in the Char tab! I still have two more sets of NPCs to work through, but I found that it might not be necessary to create them all just yet since everyone will just be working on an introductory post this round!

Keep in mind that an eerie presence has taken over Salem, and each character, will no doubt, be able to sense this. Each character has potentially been sensing weird things that indicate some sort of imbalance. You, as a player, have free reign to create any omens or bad symbols that help to add to this idea, appropriately written based on your character and their perception of things. If your character has the ability to see the future or receive visions, you'll be receiving a PM from me shortly about information that your character has seen.
