Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Chester Graham – Frenzy Camp

@Oblivion666@Hatakekuro@lmpkio

Ike's comments received an appreciative grunt from Chester. The Doma Flau lay quite close now. ”Your help will be valued. So far we've been putting off dealing with the ones we captured -the ones that call themselves the Lovers- until we get a better idea of what's goin' on.”

Before long the two made it into the arena. By the looks, a fight was just wrapping up, and a brutal one at that. Chester and Ike navigated toward the Frenzy plant seating, but detoured when they saw a familiar, towering shape among the crowds. ”Good morning, Enma!” Chester called, waving. He gave a slight bow to acknowledge the elegant lady Samir, saying, ”And to you, ma'am,” before pointed to Ike. ”Look who's back! Not only did the curse get broken, but we captured the little witch that did it to him!”

Hyun Sasithom – Frenzy Camp Perimeter

@lmpkio@oblivion666@raijinslayer

Barely-veiled contempt shot continuously from the eyes of Hyun to sting Marlene, Argus, and Jane like the prickles of pine nettles. The swordswoman took a deep breath to focus, before belting out to her subordinate, ”Jane! Go into the camp, find somewhere to stick your privateer, and bring back clothes for this girl.” Her brown eyes then burrowed into Marlene's. ”Miss, I do hope you've enjoyed your tomfoolery. Private Argus is an idiotic and troublesome ally, but he is a member of Frenzy Plant until General Sanders says otherwise. For the assault one of our members and the destruction of guild property, you are under arrest. I suggest you do not attempt to use magic.”

Other wizards raced through the trees, drawn like moths to the flame to the place where a red-black maelstrom had raged. Owen, Frenzy Plant's A-rank rapier-wielder, arrived first. Behind him came Ange Bolganone, the bespectacled glass maker, and on her heels were frigid Joakim and Leixia the archer, both sufficiently recovered from the wounds inflicted on them by Ike.

Finally, Jane arrived with clothes for Marlene, and at the same time, none other than Indigo, Frenzy Plant's premier sorceress, appeared. As the former piratess rushed to give Marlene her clothes, Indigo paced slowly around the scene, ignoring the perimeter set up by the other soldiers. In the manner of a librarian in her native habitat, she scanned every detail of the scene to memorize all that was out of order. After a minute, she decided. ”The detention tent is going to be quite full. Jane, if you please, use some sleeper cells to put these two under.”

Laughing nervously, Jane replied, ”Uh, beggin' yer pardon. Hyun said to leave my Privateer in the camp. I can run and get it smartlike...”

Indigo shook her head and threw a look at Hyun. ”No, it's fine. Joakim, don't you have a spell for sedation?”

To this, the northerner nodded, and stepped forward. In his light but peculiarly chipped accent he explained, ”It won't make them unconscious, but it will bind to their magic reserves. If they try and use magic, they will receive headaches, blindness, and dizziness.” He dutifully waited for Indigo to nod her approval. ”Right then. Brain Freeze!” A seeking package of sparkling mist wafted from his ribcage staff and headed toward Marlene. In short order another appeared and homed in on the prone form of Argus.

At the same time, Hyun approached Riona. ”My sincerest regrets that you arrived at a bad time,” she affirmed in a near-monotone. ”What can Frenzy Plant do for you?”

As if on cue, Jane appeared over her shoulder. ”She wants to join. Reckon we gotta find a C-rank for her to quarrel with. T' get a rank, ya gotta wallop someone of the rank in a fight,” she described for Riona.

Nero the Genie – Arena Stands

@Shikaru@Rivaan@lunarlors34

Nero watched in silence the breakneck battle between mist and lightning, though in his head he knew of only one way for it to go. Since arriving, Phoenix Wing had proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that it would be pulling no punches. Plus, both Lazarus and Angelo were God Slayers. How did Phoenix Wing come to acquire such ridiculously powerful magicians in bulk? Of course, neither could last a second against his curses, but all the same the genie did not relish the prospect of getting on their bad sides. Except, of course, he did; the world was full of people to annoy and debase, and Nero would sooner choke down a hard-boiled scorpion than refuse the opportunity to irritate a single one of these gifts.

Chuckling at the thought, he pushed himself off of the railing and resumed his circuit of the main stadium walkway. On impulse he glanced back to where Nolan and Sayatachi had been exchanging foreplay a few minutes ago, and saw with some surprise that the amount of couples thereabouts had doubled. ”And they call me a weirdo,” he grinned before moving on.

After only a few seconds, he encounter an entire cluster of wizards sitting and babbling together near the edge of one of the sections. He saw a little girl who reminded him of Ayame, though with long, dark hair rather than short, peach-colored hair. Next to her sat a tall, slender woman with long, feathery black hair, who seemed to be clothed in a nebulous cloth rather than conventional attire. Some scars across her bare legs and shoulders gave her a troubled, woeful air. Nero also beheld a blonde kid, a young girl dressed like a Halloween witch, a featureless raven-haired guy, and a perky goth girl. They seemed to belong to no guild in particular—or else, they belonged to the same guild, but one so insubstantial as to have no identity. Regardless, they seemed like an ideal group to be peddled to in this lull in the Games.

”Wishes, wishes!” he called merrily, his unfailing smile bright as the sun now that the atmospheric anomalies were gone. ”Get your wishes here! Need something changed? Want to be more powerful? Are you or someone you love sick? Just ask good ol' Nero the Genie! No more than three, no less than miraculous! Ask, and it shall be given!”
@Onarax @HereComesTheSnow @Silvan Haven @Krayzikk ...eeeeexcellent. The merging process is going as planned.

Welcome to a world of whimsy and magic, friendos. If you're looking for a badass guild to join, one without a bazillion players gumming it up and keeping things from happening, I would heartily recommend the soldier guild Frenzy Plant. Oh, and this RP has its own website too.

Once either Onarax or Krayzikk are accepted, I would be pleased to send my quirky genie Nero your way. I could also do the same with Lux or Jason, if it is so desired.

Actually I call it the Dongzhi Festival, and all we do is eat balls.

...really? I thought it was only me!
Highball stood apart, leaning on her rake-turned-cane, exuding an attitude remarkably light in the midst of a singularly repulsive world so indomitably dark. Compared to the others, she gave off the unmistakable air of not taking the overarching situation as seriously as it seemed to demand. In this manner, she spectated the choices the others made, less out of consideration for the individuals and more so that she might catch a glimpse of more fascinating weapons. The first man to step up and accept Rotting Bone's invitation, Donny, disappointed her with his choice of an unremarkable hatchet after some some promising rummaging. She looked on as he produced from the great pile even more rope, which he began securing to his person.

At the same time, a figure from the back of the group came forward to secure his own armaments. Highball quickly recognized this man to be the same who'd attempted conversation with her. He withdrew from the pile a long spear with a crossguard, and Highball nodded approvingly. The sight of the long weapon led her to believe, perhaps recalling from her previous life, that people didn't give spears the credit they deserved. Spears were practical, easy to work with, and most importantly, safe. A spear's range meant that it could damage creatures beyond the range of their own claws and fangs, keeping the wielder same from harm. Smart fellow. The bloke who chose a tiny axe will have to be inside some monster's mouth before he can hit with it, but spectacles here will strike from afar. He doesn't seem very loony, either. Maybe I'll tail him. Two hunters would be better than one. She moved on when Kenji ran off, though she cringed to hear the moist, thick sounds of vomiting from where he disappeared. Yuck. If this were real, I'd say the reality just dawned on him.

Meanwhile, others had moved forward. Highball spared an incredulous glance at Donny, who appeared to have selected a guitar for a secondary weapon, before her eyes landed on Paul. Skinny and plain of color, he seemed oddly aristocratic in his slow, measured movements, and his selection of a cane sword and a pistol only fomented that observation. When she witnessed his snakelike smile, however, she looked elsewhere. Very conspicuously, a huge man with whom Highball did not imagine herself resonating at all ignored the weapons, selecting only a badge to stick to his belt. Her top hat bobbed as she suppressed a condescending laugh; did this dolt really think himself man enough to kill beasts and beings beyond reckoning with his hammy mitts alone? This brute won't last an hour if this World of Waking Dreams is anything more deadly than a petting zoo...unless it operates on some sort of ludicrous cartoon magic, as some dreams do? Rolling her eyes, Highball shifted gears. Paul, Donny, and Sinthe crowded around the porcelain killer to bombard her with questions. Kenji, meanwhile, fled the building.

Deciding to go after him, Highball took two steps before looking back at the rest of the group. She observed a woman a few years older than she in a blue tunic, a blonde teenager who'd look more at home in a middle school than a nightmare, a swarthy man in brown with a feather in his hair, and a cloaked fellow with unkempt hair who seemed as much of a child as the blonde girl. None had made so much as a twitch or uttered so much as a peep since coming upstairs; they struck Highball as a rather dull lot, not as fit for survival as those who'd already chosen weapons. Well, we have our supporting characters to die within the first half hour. Pitiful, really. That feather-haired chap isn't half bad looking, and he's dressed almost as stylishly as me. Hopefully he'll live a while. With that, Highball dashed away, energetic and eager in her naivety to begin the hunt.

She followed in the footsteps of Kenji and exited the ruined chapel, trotting up beside him to give him a companionable nudge with her elbow. Surprisingly in sync with his walking pattern despite her shorter stride, the behatted woman joined the bespectacled spearman for his first steps into Iredele's gloom.
Merry Christmas indeed.

So, that's five, myself included. I count that to be enough to continue. I would be pleased to create situations and encounters for you all; the first step would be to enter the mazelike Condemned Burg. If you're up for helping an ally and forging a bond, feel free to navigate to Dahlia and Virgil, but if you'd rather me make your own encounter, explore the Condemned Burg and I'll pick up where you leave off.
Maligayan Pasko or Merry Christmas (little late lol) in Tagalog! I got an electric heater for Christmas and car electronics, what did you guys get for Christmas?

Also for the contest about a characters powers crossing into a different universe, their powers would function or manifest itself differently depending on the universe.

Also for the contest I might either do Bleach or Durarara.

I got some coffee, some candies, all three seasons of Sherlock, a Mario Kart 8 calendar for 2016, some historical documentaries about American presidents, two Dilbert coffee mugs, an eraser, a pencil sharpener, a power splitter, some beef jerky, a King Dedede amiibo, and one or two other things. I'm very happy.

I have done something very stupid and im really sorry that I also let myself go loose in here. I was very irritated and had a panic attack at the moment so thats what happened after something didn't go the reasonable way I wanted it to go. Im very sorry. I hurted myself to make up for what I did but all I felt after it was emptiness inside of me. So so sorry. I feel ashamed and won't act like this any more. I understand that not everyone accept this apology and I feel the same. Something so stupid shouldnt be accepted.

The only stupid things are self-hate and self-pity. Everyone makes mistakes and faces emotional troubles. Don't wallow in them. Put them behind you. Hating and pitying yourself will only lead to more of it; start changing by doing things you like and respect. When I was younger, I despised myself because that was easier than doing something I loved. That was true foolishness.

If something upsets you, don't take action immediately. Stand up, breath, take a walk, pet a dog, do anything to clear your head. Then do things you won't regret. It only seems hard until you get started.

Do this, and you aren't just forgiven by us; you will be able to forgive yourself.

*Patience intensifies*

It's ok though, I understand. Holidays n' all. Can you please try and finish though? I really want Sayatachi to have her Rainbow majesticness to kick the ass of Argus :P

She and Nolan will have some more time later ;)

Argus is already screwed though and has several Frenzy Plant soldiers nearby to beat him when he wakes up. What excuse does Sayatachi have to go and beat him up too?
Even with the holiday season, things are looking dire. Perhaps a quick roll call is in order...surely that isn't beyond the abilities of these players...?

@Card Captor @l0ck0n @Jinxlynx @Evil Snowman @SilverDawn @SevenStormStyle @Jasonhero are you all still here and willing to play?

Gingerboi has not been online for more than a week. If interest remains among you, I can take control, at least until he returns. Rest assured I will provide everyone with an opportunity to show off their team's dynamic and level of badassery with interesting and appropriate enemies.
