Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

An unfortunate slow period; I imagine, though, we'll be right as rain soon enough.
What's up with contests these days?

There aren't and haven't been any for several months now. The same occupations that have snailpaced this RP for even longer than that have made contests into less than an afterthought for all of us, me included.
Dark Souls is both infuriating and relaxing for me...what the hell has youtuber GhostRobo done to me...

I just now finished Dark Souls 1 in preparation for playing DS3. I can hardly wait. This time, though, I won't be playing as LeFou from Beauty and the Beast.
Everyone sufficiently bogged down by finals, I imagine?
Post. Doesn't really affect much. Just positioning Violet. Hopefully I'm doing an ok job of portraying their identity as partially an Imagination Mera-Insidie, questioning and envisioning alternate explanations.

Now I can finally get back to reading the Keriss collab.

@Rtron I kind of took a few liberties with how and where the horde is slowed, since I don't think it's mentioned elsewhere in the IC yet but we will need an interesting setting for the battle eventually.

Dude your avatar is hilarious.
If this is a wasteland, then I nominate myself as the new Warlord of the waste. Follow my rule and we shall turn this barren landscape into a world of bounty! Or die to ensure it's prosperity. WHO WILL JOIN ME!?

I'll gladly let you lord over my waste.

Upon arrival Damian received a pointed glance from Kilo, but the muscled warrior wasn’t one to waste time being unpleasant. Enma’s disgruntled outburst would have earned a response from Kilo had he been given a few more seconds to think, but while the Blade of Phoenix Wing responded something clicked in his own mind as to what exactly might be going on in Belka. ”What if the Rune Knights was doing the quarantine for the plague city? If they had to stay there to keep others from gettin’ out, they might need people like us to sort out these strays.” He zipped up the last pocket on an enormous knapsack, having filled it with bread, carrots, celery, beets, jerky, and hard cheese wrapped in spongy cloths. Though not the tastiest of provisions, this food would last and last, and the soldiers would certainly be able to survive. Slinging it over his back easily, Kilo hefted his large steel poleaxe, ready to use it as a walking stick. In the camp, the general movement neared a fever pitch, indicating that the guild would soon be on the march.

A comment from Ike, who stood nearby, received from the axeling a mighty shrug. ”Dunno. We might have to, maybe not. Eliza likes to embellish her stories—make ‘em scarier. Maybe all we need to do is make a quarantine of our own. I bet when she said magic ain’t a cure for this plague, she meant conventional treatments. If we stay put ‘til specialists arrive, we might not have to hurt anyone.” By that time, Ike was already walking away, but fortunately a new figure that Kilo recognized as the demon Argus arrived just in time to hear and field a question of his own. ”Jus’ said, maybe we don’t gotta kill anyone. I hope we don’t. If we do, it’s only ‘cuz the plague’s really, really bad.”

Through the camp a piercing whistle echoed, and in a loosely organized mass the fully-equipped warrior guild began to move. Four wagons drawn by horses came up at the rear, while Chester Graham on his Roleto Beast wheeled overhead in preparation for a scouting mission. Behind them they left a park with barely any trace that an army once called it home. Finding Gabriel to be wounded, the swamp witch Morimato Tsubano gave him a antimaggot poultice for his splinter and told him that he could ride one of the horses if he so desired. Thor, still muddled with sleep, received the same advice. Kumbha Yatta and Virgil Marowit walked on either side of Ike, bearing the Frenzy Plant standard and the feather fan respectively. Riona and Ashlyn remained close by, though they found themselves joined by Ange Bolganone to the right, Kilo and Ni Rensa behind, and Nandy Rewman in front. Bytan Brass and Joakim Fortinbras stood by Argus, near whom Enma also tread, and to whose left Arivaderci Salvay slithered. Before ten minutes passed, the army stood at the edge of Crocus, on the brink of the grasslands and an ominous adventure.
Why are none of you paying any attention to the survivor that's stuck in the barrel?
Frenzy Plant will have my reply late tomorrow morning.

Having volunteered to be on alert, Ivor observed without much difficulty the thinly-veiled hostility writ on Lauren's features as she examined him. When she spoke, she did not allot for him so much as a greeting, but immediately issued forth in a tone remarkably full of vinegar a command. Shrugging it off as a manifestation of stress from the no-doubt harrowing rescue duty imposed on her, or otherwise a necessity of the perilous situation in which they found themselves, he obliged. After pushing himself to his feet, he marched over with his hands behind his back and crouched over the faintly shuddering body of his coworker. Laying a hand on the chilled man's neck, he spared a smile for Sangue. "Good afternoon, miss. Kudos to you for getting these guys out. If his core temperature were any lower, the only thing we'd be able to do is put him back in the freezer." He seated himself on the floor, leaning against the wall. Invisibly, his eyes alighted on the cafeteria's service counter.

At that moment, however, Lauren directed a question his way. "Well, of course," he answered promptly. "In a place this small and this remote, you get to know pretty much everyone. Speaking of, I do hope Moss and Millade are alright. The guy you call Cap was headed their way. Anyway, I suspect they were in the freezer to avoid being turned to extra-chunky salsa by all the Grimm infesting the place. I could swear I heard some outside my door just a few minutes ago." Ivor stood to his feet and made a beeline for the service counter. He slid behind it and with practiced hands unlatched the coffee pot from the machine there. "Ah, I knew we had some left from this morning. Warm drinks are just the thing for hypothermia." In mere seconds the microwave was spinning, the entire coffee pot stuffed inside the machine. Under normal circumstances heating plastic would be inadvisable, but in emergencies all kinds of pleasantries could evidently be handwaved. In very short order he returned with three mugs of coffee. No steam rose from them; he knew not to overheat the beverage and risk burning the innards of the sick. One he passed to Sangue for her to give to her charge, and another he very carefully tipped into the lips of the other, cradling his head with his hand. After giving him a sip and gently laying his head back down, Ivor took a hearty swig from the third mug. "Ah, yes! So pleased to be helpful."
