Cody whirled around when he heard a loud *crash* and *bang* noise behind of him, only to find a familiar face sticking her head in the doorway...however Cody couldn't quite place it. She looked very similar to someone Cody had met a couple days back....yes she looked just like that girl that Cody had flung himself in front of to protect her from a fellow member of Phoenix Wing who had gone insane for seemingly no reason, then again he hadn't heard the full story himself.
However she was....different. Her hair was a different color, so was her outfit. Perhaps it was magic related? Or maybe she liked to dye her hair and change her clothes? Either way it didn't really concern Cody as he was positive by the name now that it was the same girl, and the fact she recognized both him and James.
He also recognized the young man accompanying her, he was also there during that chaotic moment which led to Cody joining Phoenix Wing. He had also read about him in a grand magic games pamphlet he had picked up....Nolan Waltz was his name?

Cody stood there silently as he listened to their exchanges before responding to Ariel. He hadn't quite clicked on what James said, or he might've been a little more careful with how he sounded with his response.
"As James said....just buying some armor." Cody said back in a indifferent tone, possibly sounding a bit ruder than he meant but he was still a little startled by the noise earlier, before adding in a slightly friendlier tone "However it is good to see you're ok after that mess a couple of days ago...Ariel was it?"

Yeah that's cool, I need to advance a couple of other character situations first anyway >.>
Plus it might actually give Sora time to perhaps hear rumours of her looking for 'rogue' wizards? (He might offer his services to help look without realizing that she isn't looking to arrest them but recruit them XD)
I also need to get a move on if the advancement to the next day is coming >.>

"A particular slayer? No not really Mr DuCarthy. Whoever is the first to come across our path will suffice." Manami responded over her shoulder as she and Shiro led the way out of the, by now rather wrecked, motel room. Once outside, Shiro and Manami would stop just a few meters past the door for a brief moment before the two of them disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Shortly after Shiro reappeared in front of Nidhogg, however Manami was gone.
"Nidhogg-sama, Manami-sama has final preparations to finish. We will search for a slayer, and engage if necessary." Shiro explained coolly as she allowed her scythe, which had been clipped to her back for some time now, to fold into itself and allow itself to be clipped to her belt.
Without saying anything else she would then proceed to turn on her heels and begin to walk off towards some random street. If Nidhogg asked where she was heading, she would simply responded with a 'I don't know' and continue walking. Wandering aimlessly was her plan at this stage, unless Nidhogg would suggest a better plan.

Cody simply nodded at James' response. James WAS the armor expert here, so Cody wasn't going to argue. If he didn't think it would be good enough, than it probably won't.
He trailed a few steps behind of James as they now began to inspect the chain-mail armor, Cody grabbing one and allowing the chainmail to slip through his fingers as he seemed to be thinking about something.
Turning back to James now, he opened his mouth to talk.
"Any particular metal we should look for?"

Ash was pretty annoyed to be honest. She had found someone interesting to talk to, however they were ordered to go separate ways. Ash might've argued but held her tongue and simply followed Sanders orders.
If she wanted to become a full fledged member she would have to get used to following his orders after all. So instead she simply hung out the back of the group and followed Thor and Harper, staying uncharacteristically quiet, not that these two would know that since they had just met, and simply bottled up her annoyance. The annoyed look she had on her face would probably give her away however.
However she at least got to be in the same group as Thor, and wanting to meet and hopefully spar against the lightning wizard was a reason why she had joined the guild.
After all the only way to get stronger was to fight strong foes right? But Ash wasn't sure what it was about Thor but...she didn't seem like she was in a good mood so Ash decided to strike up a conversation at a different time.

The group eventually reached a ridge which Ash walked across without much care in the world, she was too annoyed to care and to be honest she was a thrill seeker anyway so it didn't bother her.
As they shifted through the debris around, Ash not really finding anything worth mentioning, she heard Harper make a comment about a tree trunk. It was rather shady looking wasn't it?
Ash watched with a raised eyebrow as Harper seemed to pretty much bury the stump in explosives before getting a safe distance away, just because she controlled fire didn't mean she wouldn't be hurt by that explosion after all! What with the debris and all...
One loud boom later Ash would allow the dust to clear before also coming along to inspect the stump which seemed to still be intact? Definitely suspicious. Harpers kicking of the stump proved their suspicions as well, as it flew off and smacked into a nearby tree Ash would also peer down into the hole it had previously covered.
Glancing at Thor and Harper she quickly broke out into a grin. Yes, this was more like it!
"Last one down is a rotten egg." Was the only response she gave to Harper's question before jumping down into the hole, not even bothering to use the ladder. If the fall was too deep she would simply use fire to break her fall by slowing down her momentum after all.
