@Pirouette (Do continue the battle any way you can, when you can. In the meantime, Claire’s going to be at two places at once while we’re unsure of your status. Any levels, Pokémon or items she gets after your battle won’t suddenly appear to help her in the battle, heh.)

@Rune_Alchemist

After the battle, we assume for now, Claire went and got her Pokémon healed. Then, she had to consider what to do…

… and one way or another she ended up heading towards the ancient woods, according to what has been discussed. As such, she headed towards where Stillwood Village ended, but Stillwood Forest continued…

Claire walks into the thick forest, every step of the way the air becoming thicker with spores. If she was even the slightest allergic, she’d be finding that out now. There were old ruins in the way, old rocks placed in arcs and revealing the sites of old buildings, but aside from that there were big, beautiful flowers spread across the forest floor. Hopefully Claire would realize to scan them before she did anything stupid, and hopefully Ralia would warn ahead of time that these were flowers with emotions lying in wait, otherwise.

Pokédex Entry #45 – Vileplume, the Flower Pokémon. It is said to have the world’s largest petals, they’re heavy with toxins and spores and difficult to hold up. As it walks, the petals flap and scatters extremely allergenic and toxic pollen. It lures prey in with its pretty petals and douses it in toxic spores, then simply waits for them to be immobilized before moving in and devouring them.

Other than that, there were larger green Pokémon with bouquets in their hands walking around like they owned the place, glancing occasionally towards Claire, or blue Pokémon drifting in the air hitting into tree after tree, as well as Brelooms that were either practicing or just hanging about. These were all the evolved versions of the Pokémon usually seen in Stillwood Village, and they saw no reason to hide here.

Pokédex Entry #407 – Roserade, the Bouquet Pokémon. It lures prey in with sweet aroma from its flowers, and then downs them with thorny whips hidden in its arms. In battle, it presents itself as if dancing, all while striking with whips lines with deadly toxins. It can also spew poison. The sweeter its toxin smells, the more potent it is.

Pokédex Entry #189 – Jumpluff, the Cottonweed Pokémon. It deftly controls its cotton-puff spores to float. Caught by seasonal winds, it lets itself be carried across the globe and spread their spores. Even in the fiercest of winds, it can control its fluff to make its way in any direction it wants, somehow. When it encounters cold air, it lands.

… These Jumpluffs had gotten themselves stuck in the trees, though.

Pokédex Entry #286 – Breloom, the Mushroom Pokémon. It lives in warm and humid climates feeding on trees and plants in fields or forests. It’s a powerful fighter, with light footwork and punches that stretch, it’s said to put pro boxers to shame. The seeds on its tail are poisonous and should not be eaten. It spreads poisonous spores from its head as it fights, taking advantage of the dazed opponent.

… As Claire could probably tell, these creatures were a bit too powerful for her to take on in her current state. Fortunately for her, they weren’t immediately hostile to humans, though the amount of times variations of the words “poison” and “toxic” were mentioned in the entries of those four Pokémon should give an indication of that staying in the area too long might not be overall healthy for just about anyone. There were reasons why Claire couldn’t see any other humans in here.

Regardless, there might be rare Pokémon hiding out in here, or perhaps she’s more interested in what she could find in the end of here? Regardless, she had some options. All with the assumption she'd be being careful with the local grass-type wildlife, of course.

Connected areas:
Stillwood Village. Behind you.

@ERode I seem to only count four perks on your character. You get five. The last one can be rolled on any of the tables.

You also seem to have as many Drawbacks as Benefits for your character. Each character gets a single universal benefit from the universal list for free, so you'll have one more benefit than drawbacks. Seeing how you already have picked some from the universal list, you could also pick an additional one from the Lesser Force benefit list, if you so find them fitting. I realize a sword might not normally be granting a lot of benefits in the kind of way that describes, but heh.

Maybe it was intentionally left like this or I am the one who's missing something, but I thought I'd mention.

Oh, and hello.
Creep
Sheila Hopkins

Villain’s Meeting
Visible

Healer returned. Three of the Jacks were now surrounding Xolotl. The sensible one wanted him to reveal spies, Sheila doubted that would work, but still.

The man who had attacked the Rockers previously made a claim for the second vial, but of course he did. And he also claimed to not be part of any team, bullshit. You called a vial for Reflections. An anger and a fright went through Sheila. Him, absolutely not him, should be allowed to grant others powers. Him alone, except perhaps the mafia, Sheila knew for certain that amongst those present should not be allowed to get a vial. It occurred to Sheila she might be the only one who could prevent the vial from falling into his hands. He looked at her, Sheila saw him through her power. That was intentional. He still felt animosity towards them for what had happened. Meaning if he gained enough power, there was no way he wouldn’t take the Rockers apart at the seams. Sheila felt personally threatened. The Broker said the one to give the best deal would win it. Damn, that wasn’t good. Double what the Rockers could offer? How much money could this guy possibly have? He didn’t even have a team a little while ago!

The conversation went on in other directions. Someone mentioned that Xolotl was the Community’s strongest enforcer.

‘I remind that Patriarch has Sonika under his thumb. We’d do well to prepare for battle with her,’ Creep said, naturally out of personal worry. That’s how she spoke best, when she worried about something.

They were each speaking of things that each faction could do. Sheila felt she had to stick something into it, to say what the Rockers could do… but that wasn’t a worry. She was worried she couldn’t say anything, and that wasn’t something she could say. Hence she ended up quiet, thinking of ways to say that they had some brute force. She ended up quiet too long, and Broker picked up the conversation again. Okay, it seemed like he had something new to say… at least he did until his phone gave an alert. He looked at it, and then looked at… her?

Then he went and said that.

Ceramix and Shatterpoint has been apprehended by the Protectorate, in an attack she wasn’t aware of.

Sheila’s eyes widened in stunned silence, sitting absolutely still while having turned her head to look at the Broker. Fortunately, her blindfold and mask prevented anyone from seeing her stunned expression, which was the intention behind the mask.

She always knew they’d likely not last long, but… This was… unexpectedly devastating to her. She needed them for her in on the villain community. Without them, she’d simply go back to being a common thief again that occasionally chased bad guys. Without them… she was nothing?

The Broker’s pun was not appreciated, and caused Creep to breathe out a bit in annoyance. At least it seemed she’d be getting the vial for free, which was a slight comfort, she supposed.

But… what was she even going to do now?

She was helpless, without any guidance, with no power backing her, most of the Rockers didn’t even know she existed. How could she possibly-

"My deepest condolences. To think that your capable leadership fell to a gathering of Denver's greatest heroes is truly mind boggling,"

HE spoke to her. Oh, god, why did HE speak to her right now? Don’t think she didn’t detect the sarcasm, despite his tone she was sure he was positively quivering in joy within. She was busy trying to get back from utter panic, she didn’t need him talking as if trying to help-

"I would be willing to help you get your organization reformed and back in operation. We need all the teamwork we can get after all."

Creep’s head threw around at a speed unseen this evening until now to stare at Swarm, fortunately her expression masked because she would have been completely unable to hide her current emotions.

DON’T YOU DARE TRY IT!

I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

I KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING!

POWER-STARVING SWINE!

YOU’RE TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE!

TO FOLD US INTO YOUR NEW TEAM!

IT’S ALL A PLOY FOR YOUR TAKEOVER!

WRETCH! CROOK! LIKE HELL I AM LETTING YOU-!?

‘Bold words, Mr. Swarm, coming from the one who invaded our base and threatened to kill us if we didn’t submit to your dominance,’ Creep said, tranquil fury in her voice.

‘Still, I suppose I could use your help getting our base back in order…’ she said, her tone whimsical, leaning back a little.

‘… Seeing how you did such an excellent job decorating our floor.’

She turned her head towards the Broker, and stood up to match his height.

‘The gesture is appreciated. Now I offer you, as the currently highest ranking free parahuman of the Rockers, to-’ Creep hesitated for just a moment. ‘- cooperate with your organization, share information and partake in jobs suggested for at least a month ahead, longer if we find it to be a profitable venture. You can borrow our manpower and parahumans, expecting little in return. You can pay us what you want, as long as my men are happy. I think that’ll make itself profitable in the end. After all, unlike what Mr. Swarm seems to think…’ Creep did not look at Swarm. ‘… Money is not really something you really have use of in such meager amounts, is it?’ So she declared, looking directly to the Broker. That… was her appeal.

To use an organization she didn’t care much for anymore, to get closer to a greater threat.

The greater threat being, of course, the man who has the power to create more villains.

Her premise kind of leaned on that the Broker was interested in her services if she got two more parahumans. That said, if she got the vials, there was no chance in hell the people receiving the vials would be members of the Rockers.
@Joshua Tamashii@Eklispe Does this mean I get to post, soon? Oh, boy! :D

So Joshua's coming along? Well, if you're both fine with that, then so am I. I just mostly don't want him solving all their problems for them, but eh, at this point, I'm feeling a little more lax on those rules. A little. Heh.

On another note, we might be getting more company soon.
@Rune_Alchemist@Pirouette@Eisenhorn@Eklispe@Apollosarcher

Decided to go ahead with that. There we go. Most of the ones involved in the take-down will now be fairly close to level-up. Anyways.

I waited too long before just going ahead there. Now I just went with "assumed action" which I thought made the most sense. However, it would be appreciated if @Eisenhorn could say anything now, seeing how Voss is the one who could potentially open the door to Romilda's cell, so the rest knows that's a potential option. Of course, what you do in general is completely up to you all, feel free to have an argument, haha.

That's about that. Now to prepare the next map.
Isolde chased after the Fighter. The Fighter heard the incoming Wyvern and spun to attempt defending himself, but he was far less prepared than Kergin was. He swiped his axe high and Kergin ducked his head below it, successfully snapping at the Fighter’s legs. He let out a shout of pain before being picked up and thrown into the wall, promptly finished. In the distance, Aldo nodded approvingly.

<Most reasonable assumed action for Voss: Avoid taking damage and throw a Flux (as not currently damaged)>

<Most reasonable assumed action for Reina: Engage enemy from side>

Marwood rode and charged with superior movement, keeping Morag from getting to Voss. Morag looked notably angered, glaring up at Marwood.

‘FINE! HAVE IT YOUR WAY! OFF! Morag cried out and jumped at Marwood. The mercenary’s currently superior experience meant he avoided Marwood’s lance, and managed to get a full-powered swing into Marwood’s side in a way that would have looked lethal…

… Except Marwood had what Morag did not. Support. Having seen Marwood get injured in the earlier scuffle, Titania had rightly looked at others than Reina to support, appearing in time to heal the wound. The healing magic of Titania’s staff kept Marwood up, in the way, and locking Morag in place.

And then came two Dark spells from either side and a Rapier as Aldo and Voss individually cast their spells and Reina dashed in from the side. The Flux spells arose from the floor and struck into the mercenary twice, staggering him so he could not react in time as Reina came in and ran him through.

‘Urgh…’ Morag glared forward at Marwood, who had refused to die from his powerful blade, swaying where he was. ‘Damn it… Lord Ansovald… You said this would be easy…’ And so, Morag spent the last couple moments blaming the one who hired him instead of his own tactics as he collapsed backwards onto the floor.

The experience was shared among those involved in taking him down. One of them was less experienced than the rest, and as such grew to the next level.

Level Up!
Aldo: Level 1 -> 2, HP+1, SKL+1, SPD+1, RES+1
‘Hm, a new development. I’ll research this at first opportunity.’

With that, the battle was over. The way out to the right was open for them.

Chapter Cleared

Earned some extra bonus-experience for later

Romilda breathed out within her cell.

‘Hmpf, well done. Now, out with you all. You carry the Fire Emblem, correct? Away. Get it to safety,’ she said, standing straight and commanding.

‘As for you, why did you even come? Alone, you wouldn’t have stood a chance against those mercenaries, young Shaman. You should have just protected your own skin. I was safe enough in here already, thanks to you,’ she attempted to reprimand Voss for his appearance here.

‘We need to keep going, someone might have heard us,’ Aldo said, though his eyes wandered at Romilda…

‘… I’m okay with dying if you feel I’m too dangerous to leave in enemy hands,’ Romilda raised her chin as she said, neutral expression. Aldo frowned. The rest was left to the others present. She had the same knowledge as the Fighter that was just chased down and more, after all.

Edit:

Support
Titania/Marwood -> 3
Aldo/Marwood -> 1
Reina/Aldo -> 4
Voss/Marwood -> 1 (stored for now)

Notable Individuals;

@DracoLunaris It's in a tiny little box just above "The World" just below the listing of what all the perks does. Concerns only allies, as Broken stated. Oh, and for you plus

@Rune_Alchemist and @Crusader Lord, we're happy to have your interest and welcome you aboard if you're interested in joining~

@Majoras End Ah, I was afraid of that. I am pretty sure it was supposed to be +2 to only one stat... but I can see how it could be read differently and will wait a bit for Ariamis just in case those 5% mind I have that I could be wrong turns out to be well-founded, haha.
@Majoras End Given the significant boost from the last sheet, do you mind if I ask you to outline how you got to your stats?

@BrokenPromise From my experience, having created Deni and Eli and all, I was allowed to have them follow the same Patron as Mariette with somewhat different benefits and drawbacks. That said, if you wish, you could probably roll for it, you could have gotten an ally from anywhere. I am not entirely confident I'll say something that aligns with Ari's thoughts on it here, but it sounds alright to me. If they're allowed to be Mint, I'd say they'd get their Black Coin, as it follows different rules than the normal coins.

@Flamelord Yupp. Basically the same sheet, but with some nice little additions. Use of the Platinum Coin from last season noted, and after having been reminded of where that anti-corruption potion came from this feels alright. Accepted.

A Number of NPCs.
