Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

~~Seleth~~

@PaulHaynek@Polaris North

Seleth frowned as the two girls seemed to lose their joviality, a serious mood coming over the two of them. It confirmed her suspicions that something may be happening.

"...Hmm." Seleth gave a thoughtful pause. "Varjan came to the Radiant Cathedral where I live and work as a priestess." How much should she say, exactly? Part of her wanted to respect his own privacy, but at the same time what he had said...if her inaction led to him hurting himself, she'd never be able to live with herself. She was nothing, if not determined at most things even if she wasn't so great at them. "...He asked me if he could pray to the goddess for death. If I could kill him." Her gaze turned towards the ground, a scowl overcoming her features. "Absurd! What a fool! To ask something like that! I should kill him for even thinking such a thing. Pathetic for someone as skilled as him!" Seleth sighed, shaking her head. "I wanted to speak with him more, but his oh-so-pleasant mother ran him off before I could. Now you obviously know something more than you're letting on, Alicia." Seleth continued in a more gentle manner. "If this is something I can help with, then as a priestess of Aylama it is my duty to help those in need."

@whoever the fuck is at the stadium

Well...things had just gone from manageable chaos, to utter what the fuckery.

Whatever was going on, Rina was in the thick of it and she didn't like it. Being this close to the action was unsuitable to her - but it seemed she had some help in the form of some more new arrivals. Beacon? Just in time. Thankfully it seemed this new robot girl and this...whoever it was had a history and he promptly left to deal with her, giving Rina some time to make a next course of action. Her own position had been compromised, and she needed to move anyways. With all of these things going on, providing ranged support wasn't optimal even if she was certain her aim was good enough not to get into a friendly fire mess.

leaping off the roof, Rina hit the ground and began moving, swiftly avoiding the remaining mobs and enemies as she kept to the outskirts of the main fighting. While the Beacon and the others were busy keeping the focus of the bad guys, she'd deal with the remaining civilians. There was also something mildly concerning to the archer that made her move. Something or someone was leaving behind a trail of...darkness? Shadow? Some sort of mass of magical energy it seemed. Regular intervals, but she didn't see anything or someone leaving them. Invisibility? Some sort of ability of one of the current fighters? No matter. She grabbed a few of the remaining civilians that were in the area, swiftly moving them out of harms way either by roof top or the front doors.

- An immense, alien and ground shaking shriek nearly caused her to lose her footing, nearly dropping a civilian.

Damn it, that girl did she really!...She was regretting the mercy option more and more. Ugh, no. She couldn't save anyone else around the stadium. If that thing was allowed to get out, then the entirety of Penrose would suffer for it. The needs of the many and the needs of the few and all that. Urgh, it made her feel sick to even think such a thing, but when face with a threat like this, she had little choice.

"Something this size just makes a bigger target." Stringing up her bow again, the size of it began to enlarge, growing in size as she poured more magical energy into it. The creature was big. No obvious weak points aside from the eyes. Made out of all of the monsters that had been attacking the stadium too. Blinding it probably wouldn't work. Made out of all those lesser creatures, she had no doubt it could likely just reform itself anyways, but it didn't hurt to try and she could slow it down in the process.

"So lets see how tough this creature of yours is then." A large sword began forming in Rina's hand again. She'd focus on slow, demolishing and piercing ammunition for this creature. Little attacks likely wouldn't have much of an effect aside from annoying it. Knocking the sword, she pulled back the string, took aim, and released.

The large sword flew through the air, aiming right for one of the creatures eyes. Immediately after firing, Rina moved from her position. A sniper couldn't stay in one place for long after making a shot.

Shammack? No, she didn't recall anything like that being 'chanted' or said. Just the creepy old guy hitting on her. For the most part, Chieko continued her silence. She had nothing more to add. Or at least, nothing else she felt like she needed to add. Instead, she just silently followed the group once more following slowly behind Yuuki. She did at least, feel somewhat more comfortable around a Japanese person even if he probably wasn't all that interesting.

"...there was this creepy old guy hitting on me." Chieko added after a few seconds once Yuuki had finished, just as Flame and Ashton spoke up once again. They had a history with these monks? Something about leaving them to some wolf creatures or something. Chieko simply glanced over to them, giving them a mildly cold and glare. Idiots. If they really were being accused of being criminals back there, then why bring it up? At least only say something if someone else bought it up.

Well, not her business.

It was only when the bright and cheery voice of Aki meet her ears did Chieko's mood seem to brighten. She hadn't really wanted to leave the bubbly little girl, but she couldn't have stayed either, so it made her feel better.

"Ahaha, Aki-chan." Chieko greeted the smaller girl with a nervous laugh. Aaaah, it had felt like ages since she had been called 'Big sis'. "Don't worry. Big sis has to go do some...big sis things." Chieko fumbled around with her words for a bit. Aaaah, she really wanted to just pick this small girl up and cuddle her to death. "I'll meet up with you later and maybe you can show me around?" She gave If her own assumptions were right, things might end badly or at least be...difficult. She didn't want to drag Aki with her, but she couldn't just not go and not get something like a permit.

Besides, if she wanted to become a big goddamn hero, she couldn't be an outlaw.

Mie Yukima

Golden Quarter

Unfortunately for Grisaia, Mie had a way of being fickle and finicky when it came to hanging out with people long term. And those she did hang out with long term, tended to be both teased and may or may not have had their own items stolen and then promptly sold back to them. As soon as she had left the estate, the demi-human led Grisaia on what could only be a wild goose chase in a game of 'catch the fox if you can'. Mie quickly lost the rabbit, and had put herself out of his way and back onto the streets of Pristella.

Better that way anyways.

Now lets see what she could get up to...
Whew, all I got time for right now

But I'll give Duoya a few more days to reply with Hayim before I have that one give Dirka something, and send a letter Nerplagius' way.

Such a pretty red color.

Lahzria's hands were steady. Far steadier than they should be.

"...Draw..."

A silent whisper. A voice from somewhere commanded. Her hand burned again, but it didn't matter. She had to draw the sigils after all. Draw the seals. Open the gate. Walk the path. Bryyre didn't understand. Of course he wouldn't. They were all fools, weren't they? They always treated her like a child. Like she wasn't good at anything, but no. She understood now. She understood very well. She was the smart one. She was the talented one. They were the weak minded fools who unknowingly had angered the Illuminator. They begged him for information. They had forgone their own paths of discovery and had instead fallen into a puerile notion that if they asked nicely, he would bestow it upon them. All at the cost of a life. Her life.

...find me...

Who was the fool here?

Dipping her fingers into the paint once more. she placed her hand upon the frozen wall, her hand sliding upon it easily, the sanguine paint sticking and freezing to it almost instantly as it was pressed into the wall. She didn't even know what she was doing, honestly. It just felt right. Like she already knew what to do. Somehow the information was just there. Why was her hand burning? Urgh, didn't matter. Rub it. Make it better for a moment. Draw more. Rub it again. Repeat.

...a circle there...symbol here...close...

The voice again. It sounded familiar. Like Iva, but also different. Deeper? Or perhaps lower pitched? Both? She couldn't tell. It was like trying to hear someone across a canyon. Was he directing her? But this felt different. Like it was something else. She rubbed her head, a small headache forming. Urgh, so annoying! And why was she feeling so agitated? Like if someone just looked at her funny she might just stab them. Or laugh. She couldn't decide. Maybe she'd do both. She felt like she had did that already.

...hand there. Place it on the pedestal. CARVE IT. COME.

"Alright alright no need to shout!" She shouted to the air, blinking in mild surprise as the object in her hand she was using to hold the ground, clattering dully against the icy floor and sliding a few feet away. Who was she talking too? What had she been doing again? Lahzria took a quick look around the room again. Right. She was working on the portal. Bryyre certainly helped...she pulled her knife from the stone floor. Carve. She needed to carve something. Into the wall where the portal was? Seemed right, but...

"...Ah." She glanced over to Bryyre, the body of the male slumped against the pedestal. "...huh. Where'd your head go? Losing it is bad. Makes you stupid." Lahzria laughed lightly, poking the side of her own face with the stone knife. "Well, not like you need to worry about that anymore, haha!" Ah, how troublesome. His head had the last item. Swiftly turning around she began looking for it. She had just had it, right? Couldn't have gone far. "...ahaha, don't roll away from me. There you are." She found it, picking up its head and sliding back over to the pedestal and placing it on it.

Nothing happened.

"Hmm...oh right. All this useless flesh is interfering." Bringing the knife to the flesh, Lahzria began cutting. Flesh was flayed from the bone. First was the scalp. Useless bit of a human body. Hair just got in the way. Better to use it for rope or something. Next was the eyes. She had already cut off the jaw when trying to get more paint so she needn't remove that again. She tossed the useless item to the ground, starting on the next bit. "So close, free you'll be free soon. You'll understand everything soon!" She couldn't help but to laugh. Why was she laughing? She hadn't a clue but it was just funny.

"Annnd there we go." A loud crack filled the chamber as the skull was split open. Quickly Lahzria removed the brain, placing it on the pedestal and tossing the rest of the skull to the ground. "Ah...! Such a pretty thing - " But before the human could comment further on it, the entire room rumbled, icicles falling from the ceiling and crashing to the ground, but she didn't seem fazed in the slightest. The portal began to light up, the blood she had drawn with beginning to burn and vanish as a crack of light appeared in the middle, slowly, slowly expanding until it filled the entire construct.

"...aha." She began to laugh, a maddeningly jovial laugh as she was assaulted by a cold, fierce wind from Iva's realm. Without even sparing a second thought for Byrrye or her actions, the girl in bloodied furs walked through. There was another rumble and the portal closed, completely closing off the library off once more from the mortal realm. The only thing that was left behind was a corpse and a knife.

"Ah..." Silencing her laughter, Lahzria looked out over the frigid expanse. The Library loomed over her. She couldn't find words to describe its splendor.

"Cy'Lathak...welcomes you...La-Zha..."

Niflheim
@jetipster@Leotamer

The beast had, for the most part, been entirely ignoring Quill as it wasn't the black winged creatures objective. Emotionless and unfeeling as the creature was, it spared not a thought for the cold. Even so, it was a living being. It made its home in Iva's cold, empty realm, but even it had the limits of what its thick and leathery hide could do. The cold of the northern winds were beginning to become too much for it, yet it could not return without delivering its message or returning with something else, so when Sveiand made his appearance, the creature had wrapped its large wings around its body in an effort to stay warm.

Lacking any natural form to communicate with the god, the creature made a few loud clicks from somewhere, tilting its head in a studious fashion as it observed the creature in front of it for a few seconds. Silently, the Aho'Nohg reached out, a scroll in its hand and handed it to the God of Cold.

~Claire Blackwood~

@PlatinumSkink

With held breath Claire watched the ensuing battle. The empowered fire attack slammed into the Lilligant, burning the large grass type slightly. But it wasn't enough. The pokemon exchanged another blow, with Lilligant healing itself with a Mega Drain - but even with healing itself, it could not withstand another. Zeal blasted another ball of fire towards the Lilligant - and with a mighty cry, that grass type fell, falling into the wooden platform below and the silk threads of the string shot burning in the hot sun.

"Hahah!" Claire laughed brightly alongside Archie. "Good job, Zeal! We'll have to thank Del later." She grinned, excitedly bouncing. Zeal beat his chest with his fists, stomping the ground in a playful and eager manner as Archie announced he was sending out their 'cannon'. "Cannon, eh? Send us whoever! We can handle it!" Claire grinned

"Monmon!" Zeal smirked aggressively, motioning for Acrhie to do his worst, and the worst Archie did. The next pokemon was an equally massive grass type. A sunflora that rivaled Lilligants own size as Archie went on to explain 'Solar Power'. That sounded absolute bad time, but she wouldn't be dissuaded so easily. Archie suggested dodging? Ahahaha, no.

"Dodging, eh?" Claire grinned, taking an aggressive stance. "The best defense is a good offense!" Archie said one thing - Solar Power only increased their special attack. She just had to exploit that and help whittle down the Sunflora's HP! Besides, getting close was the best way to avoid that solar beam. "Zeal! Show 'em how us fighting types do it! Hammer 'em with another Ember!"

Just as the first massive ray of light was unleashed in Zeal's direction, the monkey pokemon leaped to the side, trying to get close to the sunflower pokemon while it hopefully avoided the first solar beam. Claire had to raise her arm to her face, the sheer force of the attack sending her stumbling back a bit. As soon as Zeal got close enough, he'd engage in a close range battle, blasting the Sunflora in the face with an Ember.
~~Seleth~~

@PaulHaynek@Polaris North

"Geh!" Seleth comically flinched at the accusation, though quickly changed the subject before they could linger on the topic. "Haha, well, if you've won then that means I have even less to worry about going forward." Another boast, and probably quite untrue. Still, she was glad that they were doing well even if she was terrible at showing it. It really meant she'd have to put in more effort though, wouldn't it? Anyone who made it this far had at least some level of skill. She'd need to make sure she was -

"D-dating?" Seleth sputtered out, interrupting her thoughts as Alicia teased her and Rav. At least she didn't have to go on to defend herself. Mira quickly changed the subject to Varjan, and she couldn't help but to recall the events of yesterday evening. "...Did something happen with Varjan, Alicia?"

Making her way down the sheer cliff was both exhilarating and nerve wracking. Bryyre was certainly strong, no doubt about that. But a single slip and she'd probably die, which was kind of just a tiny bit bad. Lets see, she also needed to get Bryyre down, but how? There were no handholds and ice was pretty difficult to work with in any capacity. She had that pick thing she made - which she was going to use to slow her descent if she fell, but it looked like Bryyre had more or less had the idea.

"Hmm..." She didn't have any more rope, and she didn't feel like leaving Bryyre behind. If there were just some footholds or something he could climb down fairly easily, but what could he use? Well...if you didn't have something - you made it. "Hey, hold up a minute!" The rope lowering her jerked to a stop, causing her to nearly drop the tools.

"What is it, Iw'an?"

"Just...making some foot holds for you!" Lahzria grunted. Well, technically she only had one possible candidate and she wasn't even sure if it'd hold. With a bit of effort, she took the pick she had fashioned and began hammering it into the side of the wall. After a few attempts, she had managed to work the stone object into the wall of ice. Giving it a tug, it seemed to hold well enough...but what could she do? "Alright, keep going!"

Not long later, her feet touched the ground below and she looked up at Bryyre.

"...Hmm...hey! I'll unhook myself. Wear the harness yourself! I made a small handhold for you, but I dunno if it'll be enough! You still have your hunting knife?" She asked.

"I do!" He shouted back down to her.

"Great! Uh...hm. Okay, idea! You'll need to lower yourself down! Try grounding the knife in the ice then tying the rope around it! It should hold! Should!" The next part she was even less sure about. It would have probably gone better had he someway to manually stop the rope from moving somehow. Perhaps a system or something that could let him control how much rope he had, but for now all he had was his hands and probably a bit of rope burn. Thankfully though, it worked. Bryyre lowered himself down carefully, only slipping once. The knife seemed to hold itself well enough once it was lodged in the ice, and the foothold she made helped him catch his fall after the rope fell, too. Once he was down, Lahzria gave him a grin.

"Well I'd say that was a success!" She laughed excitedly.

"My hands would disagree..." Bryyre grunted, wincing at the new case of rope burn across his hands.

"Well come on! Discovery awaits!" She was getting more excited the longer she was in the place and the more progress she made. Walking up the slope to the other side, the two eventually reached what could only be their destination. A large, central chamber of some sort it seemed made of stone and ice. A large stone portal had been built into the ice, frozen over in places after the passage of time. On the floor was a stone basin of some sort, in the center of which was a stone pedestal.

"This is..."

"An entrance to the Library! It has to be." Lahzria gleefully gave an excited squeal, running over to the pedestal. "Ooh, this is great! We're so close!"

"But how do we open it?" Bryyre questioned, walking past Lahzria and towards the large stone circle.

"Well lets see...this pedestal has some old script on it..." The young human brushed some frost off of the pedestal. "It's old and worn, but I think I can make it out."

"Once we traveled, looking for mysteries unraveled
Over frozen seas, barren tundra, and lost forests breeze
Friends, brothers, for the longest time
to hate each other, what a crime!
But the pursuit left us wanting, our friendship tested with knowledge taunting
Alas! How sad, poetic, pathetic and dire!
Friendship has no place, amidst desire!
Once we traveled, looking for mysteries unraveled
Now I travel, where the knowledge causes the minds unravel
Alone, never to atone

"...a poem?" Lahzria frowned, unsure what to make of it at first. She brushed a loose strand of her brown hair from her face, staring at the stone tablet. She'd like to take her time and consider her options a bit, but she was on a time crunch. What she could discern however, it told the story of two people in a fairly short and likely glossed over manner. Two people traveled in search of knowledge. Friends from the look of it. Then somehow, one of them died or they separated. This poem obviously had something to do with it, didn't it? But if so, what?

...

It...couldn't mean that, could it? But that's why she was here to start with. To get away from something like that. If her theory was correct, then one of them killed the other for access to the library. Was that what she was reading? To her knowledge that also lined up with a small tale of one of the pilgrims that made a trek here before. Twins. Only one ever returned, and he was quite mad according to the legends. Spent the rest of his days living in the forest until he died.

She inhaled.

Bryyre was like a father to her. He raised her after her parents were killed in an accident. He had always looked after her. Him and Yvur both. There was no way she could do it...right? But if she wanted to gain access to the library...she would be great, wouldn't she? All that knowledge at her fingertips. Anything she could possibly want to know. She could...finally not be treated like a child all the time.

"...Bryyre, come here for a second." Her own knife felt far too cold in her hands.

Swiftly, the two who had received replies returned easily returning to the Library. Iva was still in his lab, working away at his maddening creations. A severed limb here, a still beating disembodied heart hooked up to some contraption there. A few brains in jars. Quite the fun, macabre appearance. Most wouldn't have dared to bother him in such a state, but the servants were on a strict schedule. The two returned to the depths of the experiment halls.

"Ah...so Anu wants to see me! Hee! How rude. I'm quite busy..." The Illuminator hissed, grabbing a human head and some nearby threads from a nearby table. "And Naswaru says he'll make it if he's not busy. Hmhmm...Little La-Zha is making good progress though, heehe! Oh I wonder I wonder, if she'll go through with it." Iva hoped she did. There would be no getting to the library without a sacrifice and a lesson of some sort. Hers? Well, she had to learn a harsh lesson all those in the pursuit of knowledge needed to learn.

Anything for the sake of knowledge. All else was meaningless.

"You there. Take this to Sveiand, and you take this Apolios. Hurry hurry! And don't bother me until you're done!"

He'd need to make time to visit Anu. Ah, she even sealed the letter with a kiss. How scandalous. Expected from the devilishly dark mistress.

"Hmm...maybe I'll bring her some flowers."

At the spire

The Aho'Nohg remaining at the spire watched with interest, forgoing its mission of delivering a message to Oao. No, this was far more important for its master to know of, so it watched. Watched everything. Hyperion, Naswaru, Oao...Iarus. This was information immediately pertinent to everyone of them. Gammaton would also likely want to know, but the creature wasn't heading back without a full report to either of them.

So it continued to watch and wait events unfold.

Niflheim
@jetipster@Leotamer

The one tasked with finding Sveiand was not prepared for the chilling winds of the north, but it lacked the ability to care or even feel the intense cold of the north. It landed upon the shore, having to walk the rest of the way for otherwise its wings would have frozen over entirely with ice from the air. The cold air and fierce blizzards buffeted the creature, slowing its progress considerably, and eventually it was forced to land to rest its wings.

It was then, the creature became aware of a smaller humanoid creature seemingly in the same position that it was in. Initially it showed no interest in the small humanoid, and instead merely looked curiously out over the vast frozen expanse next to Quill, seemingly contemplating the same things he was contemplating.

Terratoria
@Archangel89

The second headed in the opposite direction, moving towards the warmer lands of Terratoria, the lands of Hyperion. It had a vague idea of where it could find the god of the Sun, but didn't have an exact location. It only headed towards the radiant palace of light - yet once it got to the barrier, it stopped. Halting in its tracks, slowly circling around the barriers exterior. It could not enter without receiving major damage from this security system, and it wasn't quite sure if it could survive the entire ordeal.

So the black winged creature gave a loud, mind creaking shriek before landing atop a rocky outcropping near the edge of the field. It would only attempt crossing should its cries not bring the target of its message to its target. It was a being of chaos, after all. It could not cross such a barrier so easily.
