Shinichi Residence > Abandoned Warehouse

"Hm?", as Rui was setting down the last of a few chairs he noticed someone new had walked in. It was Fubuki, they had rescued her some days ago, and she showed up in the Velvet Room in that dream too, furthermore he had spoken to her about what they were doing.

"I guess this means I don't have to show you where we all meet up if you've found this place. I take it you'll be joining us then?", he asked. He always extended an offer after telling people the basics, and would tell the details later. He still waited for her answer, and Samuru's came rather quickly, but considering she was included in the dream, her refusal was incredibly unlikely.

As the party continued down the path and took the established route towards the small hut, it was as they had seen, just a few shadows roaming directly around it. As soon as the party got close enough they were noticed and the shadows erupted into what looked like demons, they even spoke a bit.

Before the party was two Unicorns, and a Decarabia. This posed a question... Why are their encounters with shadows so different here than with the isolated dungeons...? Regardless it doesn't seem anyone here had the answer to that, all there was to do was fight.

"Huuuh? Who're they? Are they intruding on our picnic?!", spoke the Unicorn. The Decarabia frantically insisted that this was a private event and no one else was invited. Before any of the party could speak they were forced to halt any step forward as a Unicorn struck the ground in front of them with a Zionga. They seemed intent on fighting.

They seemed fairly weak though. It shouldn't take much effort to end them.

The day after that joint meeting in the Velvet Room, Rui gave Kami a call regarding the warehouse. It seems they were given free reign of the place. It looks like he looked into it with Kazuki too, and it was confirmed that the place was actually property of Tadao's father, the older man who accompanied Kazuki who seemed to be busy working or getting everyone supplies. It seemed to him Tadao was the very competent one of that group.

Still, this meant the place was free for them to use as they please... Last he remembered it definitely could use more furniture...

"Kami, do you have any spare furniture? We could use to make that place a bit more homely, ask Kazuki too", Kami responded with an affirmative,

"Yeah, my dad was about to throw out an old coffee table, but that's all I got. There's a garage sale not too far from the warehouse though so we could check that out too", with that decided they headed out for the day.

By the time Rui had showed up to the warehouse to deliver some furniture, it seemed Kotori, Ayano, Ryan, Mako, Sato and Samuru were there. They had decided to head in to explore Seto on their own. He also noticed a blue door at the far end of the warehouse... That was likely the Velvet Room, he'll have to check that out later.

"Hm, you guys are going in there on such a nice day?... Well, I guess it's fine. We'll stay here, in case something bad happens we can come in and assist you guys when that happens", with simple farewells they were showed away. On the other hand Kotori seemed to make herself busy reading a book on the sofa in the warehouse. She was quite absorbed in her book though, he didn't want to disturb her...

He signalled to Kami and Kazuki, and Tadao, who were behind him to not disturb her, as they set around furnishing the warehouse.

They put in quite a few things, there was a table and chair set, coffee table as mentioned, a few lawn chairs, there was even an old rug, camp gazebo, coat hanger, which Kazuki insisted on taking, a bunch of misc chairs and Tadao brought an old arm chair his father was going to sell. Later in the day Tadao said he was going to bring some spare wood to make some shelves too.

All the while, Kotori didn't even notice the entire place was being furnished around her.

With that decided the group headed into the Mirror World. Upon entering, the party was met with what looked like a portal, it was a sharded mirror portal, floating in the air as it were, but they can see what is on the other side. Ayano recognized it as the village where Kami and such had fought the Oni, Sato would remember it.

Upon entering they were met with the village, which had become a safe zone of sorts, on the exit away from the small forestry behind them was open fields, it seemed to be the natural way to progress. The strange underwater feel of the entire area was a little hard to get used to, to first timers they'd immediately try and hold their breath but find it wasn't possible.

Behind the party they heard the screech of a bird as Zeke landed on the roof of a building nearby... It seemed intent on watching over the party.

"I'll stay in the village as support. Explore at will", she stated simply.

As the party entered the fields ahead, the way forward was rather straightforward, there was a path and they should follow it, but eventually they came up to a cliff where they could survey the route from there... There were a few points of interest. There seemed to be a fairly large shadow just to the east up ahead, as well as a bridge it was guarding, but directly north was what appeared to be a hut of sorts. It had a few shadows visibly lurking near it, but with how open this area was they hadn't run into any shadows trying to ambush them just yet.

So it was up to them, try and clear the bridge, or head to the hut and look around?
Just use Credits to upgrade equipment and use the skill points or whatever for any innate ability upgrades (which is mostly Semblance anyways).
@Write Ah shit did your character do something? I guess I should check.

TRACK: Blues in the Velvet Room

"Well then... I have gathered you all here today, to begin the feast. Henrietta if you would...", Igor moved his hand towards the attendant, she simply bowed before speaking.

"Indeed. Today is a momentous occasion where all of this journey's ordained guests have finally arrived at the table. If you would look to the menus laid before you, you will see the services the Velvet Room has to offer. Make your order, and then eat your fill to begin", she began, mid-way through talking, a menu booklet would appear in front of everyone. Upon it were some simple services, along with "Courses".

The Menu

It seemed pretty straightforward... Order, and ye shall receive the services of your choice, as well as a meal it looks like.

"Although, for today you have all simply been called here to be informed that our kitchens have opened. You may come and go from here as you will, you may use this room to conference meetings also, and while food here will not fill your stomach in your world, they are still fairly delicious and I wholeheartedly recommend the desserts", the introduction to this seemed to be over, but it seems now they may come and go from here whenever they wish... This could prove incredibly useful. Still, the descriptions of some of these services... Were they expected to do combat too...?

"Very good Henrietta... Well then, I think today's meeting can be adjourned. I hope to see you all again soon, perhaps of your own accord. But until then... Farewell", and just like that, everyone's vision faded back to black.
Hahaha what even is happening here right now?
I am still open for commissions, I never closed.

@Suku

So there were no particular plans to go anywhere to eat, just go wherever. Hmmmm...

"Well, if that's the case I hear some of the students are doing food stalls today, should we check those out? We won't have to go into town that way", he suggested. He saw them setting up on the way here, some of them were run by the students with their families, others were just run by the students, it was almost lunch time so if they went now it should only be beginning to get busy.

Jungle Tabernacle - Lair of the Brood

@Zarkun

"Urgh..!", she grunted in what seemed to be frustration and irritation, but the broodlings stopped in their tracks as a strange pause fell upon the entire chamber.

"What are you insinuating Nephilim?! You talk and talk and talk, not fighting me. WHAT IS IT?! I demand answers or I will feast upon your tainted flesh!", her threat to someone like Wrath didn't hold much water, considering how difficult it was for her to catch him earlier, but it seems she was willing to talk. The broodlings looked just as irritated as she did, it seems she was curious, not like any rabid beast. Either this Broodmother was truly evolving, or something else was going on, either way Wrath had his chance to speak.

"Charred Council?!", the angel appeared rather surprised, but nevertheless he continued his fight, managing to push the Hatred off during a hold. Akoni and Henry's attacks were successful, quickly and cleanly dispatching the Hideous horde as they were already occupied with the demons. Some of the angels were confused... A human with forbidden power, and a half demon? Helping them? The idea was absurd, but as soldiers do in times of battle, they had no choice but to go with it. They were blessed by the Charred Council as it's agents too... And the angels had an allegiance of sorts with them, so perhaps things truly were so dire that they needed all the help they could get.

Now it was merely two angel soldiers, a Champion, an old man and half demon kid up against the remaining Hatred. Odds were not in it's favour, so this should be rather simple.

"I see... So then, desperate times call for desperate allies. If that is how dire the situation as the Council sees it, then we have no choice but to oblige. So long as we fight for order, we can be allies", the Champion led the charge into the Hatred, bringing his sword at the demon once more.

Jungle Tabernacle - Through the Ruins, Village > Mausoleum of the Seal

Zarrath was rather cooperative, but with the Charred Council allegiance invoked, it seems he had little choice but to honor that. After disappearing over the treeline it was safe for the unlikely party to advance towards the mausoleum up ahead. It was a huge structure, a brilliant gold could be envisioned as they looked to it's fading walls, rife with weather and jungle foliage such as vines climbing upon it, the double doors and appearance of the entire structure, one would think the interior was just as old, but as the angels pushed open the doors for them, what they saw was an albeit dusty, immaculate architecture. Whatever this place was, it was made to last for an incredible length of time. Immediately visible was their objective, which was the sealed door at the bottom of the steps, down into a giant pit and clearing at the bottom, this door was tucked up against the towering walls.

The door itself had three indents in it, with only one of them filled, likely the key that the angels had found. As the party stepped down in front of the door, an angel Champion that was standing guard looked to the party.

"We have been informed just now. You, agents of the Charred Council, it is an honor. Although unexpected that the council would take on demons and humans to do their biddings, both either too volatile or too weak... No matter. We shall get to business", it also appears this particular angel was going to be supervising the effort to open the doors.

"As you can see we need three keys, all are identifiably orbs, from what we understand they hold great power, so strong that it appears to block supernatural energies. We angels lose a bit of our power going too close to them, and demons too from what our observations report. Humans on the other hand seem to be unfazed, perhaps because they are not composed of supernatural energies. In any case, we have a lead on two of the orbs... You are all free to pick which one you wish to pursue", the angel flew around and a little further up to point them in the right directions.

"Scouts report that a brood nest contains a key, an entrance was found in a remote part of the jungle. However no one has managed to return from this task, it is likely the brood has claimed them, so I bid caution to be your ally", he lowered his hand, before turning and pointing it another way.

"Some of our forces are engaged with a demon horde in that direction, we are running low on reinforcements as the demons seem to have become attracted to the energy emitted from the key. Should we secure that position we will be able to retrieve the key without trouble", and with that he floated back to the ground.

"I will be waiting here and guarding this door with my life. Once the keys are retrieved I will inform Kushiel, and he and his accompanying commanders will join us", and with that he let them go about their business.
