Natalie wordlessly entered the living room, and looked around. This was...probably what her apartment would look like if she didn't share it. Her and El had a wordless agreement to keep it somewhat clean for each other's sake, so forced themselves to make the effort. Archie lived alone. Judging by the amount and state of dishes, they weren't months old or anything. He probably had a productive spell every so often. This particular load had probably been mounting up since they first met, at the house. Not that she could blame him. It had turned her deliberately simple life into a confusing mess with a lot to think about and ponder. It was probably the same for him.

He returned from his room, now wearing a shirt at least. His explanation was disappointing, but she could relate. It did raise the question that if he couldn't even muster the energy to charge his phone, and discounting the possibility that he didn't want to talk to her, had he been eating? He asked her if she'd like to talk about what happened. Natalie sighed.

"We're going to have to eventually, but I don't have any other plans today. First of all, have you eaten? This...isn't the house of someone who's taking care of themselves."

Once Heidi reached the top, she saw the carnage that Ayel had wreacked. There was solace in the fact that he hadn't killed all of them, and this was better than Heidi could have expected, but it still hurt to see people dead as an indirect result of her actions. She swallowed. She was going to have to get used to that feeling. This wouldn't be the first time she'd feel it.

She saw a shadow emerge from a room at the other side of the hallway and dived into an empty room before the figure emerged. Luckily, it was at that moment that the power went out, and the sprinklers went off, so Heidi then stole a glance out of the doorway. It was Ayel. And he didn't have Una. Heidi found this very suspicious, and already didn't trust Ayel to start with, so she let him pass. She'd deal with him later. She had to find out Una's fate first and foremost. Once Ayel disappeared down the stairwell, Heidi emerged and started heading to the room that Ayel had emerged from. As she did, she thought about the power going out. Coupled with the disruption before, this was clearly sabotage. The cavalry was already here. Good. They'd bump into Ayel. She didn't want him running off into the night.

Heidi entered the now dark room, but from the lights outside shining through the windows, she could see Una, and the man from the club. Una didn't look like a prisoner at all, and her 'captor' wasn't threatening either Heidi nor Una. Something more complicated was going on here. Heidi squinted. The lighting wasn't good enough to see either of their mouths. They could be talking to her right now and she wouldn't know! She coughed awkardly.

"Sorry, do either of you have a waterproof flashlight?" asked this small soaking fifteen year old girl, still dressed for a night in a club. "I'm deaf, and it's too dark to read your lips."

With her eyes still closed, Pokkin could sense that there was nobody nearby and she'd have to venture further north. Before she opened her eyes and continues to set off, she felt somebody approaching, somebody who was stronger than her. It felt like the one she'd felt before. It was above her, and it was descending. She opened her eyes, and tuned back into her earthly senses. She might need them. What landed was a human, with a shaved head and in a martial arts gi. He asked her if she lived herein a civil manner, and she immediately relaxed and let her guard down somewhat.

"No. I just got here. I actually think I was tracking your ki, but I wanted to know what happened. What happened to Parsley City, and to that very strong being who came out of the sky, and that's when I felt a very high power level come very close to my town in Fukurou Forest and then head north. That must have been you. I'm Pokkin."

Mina raised eyebrow when she was asked about boys first. Why was she asked? Maybe Yozakura thought it would be entertaining to watch Mina of all people talk about boys. Or maybe she knew that Mina had a crush on Jett and was trying to stir trouble. Either way, it riled Mina up. But it's fine. She was above it. She'd play along. She smiled, entering 'lady mode' again though not being quite so fake as she was with Asuna. She was much more natural this time. It was as if part of her was glad to thaw out, open up to others and act like a girl.

"What I look for? I haven't really been looking but I suppose...you're right about being nice being the baseline. Hmm...they'd have to be confident, and have enough of a personality to be fun to be around. Also stubborn. I mean, not in an 'they always insist they're right' kind of way, more like 'they will not stop trying to help or talk to you even if you think you don't want to', you know?"

Over the past few days of worrying about Archie, Natalie had plenty of time while working and sitting at home alone to think about Archie, their relationship, and why she feels the way she feels. His reptilian form, and the fact that she saw him out of control just made her think about him more fondly. She wasn't scared that he wouldn't understand her, and she wasn't as scared of hurting him knowing that he had power to match hers. It had been two years. She was no longer hung up on her first boyfriend. The real reason she had been so afraid of dating all this time was 'what if?' What if she snapped and hurt or killed them? Could she ever live with herself if that happened? Those fears were still present with Archie, as well as the tiny fear that he might hurt her, but as long as they didn't both lose control at the same time, one should be able to contain the other. Their sum total of human interaction were two crime scenes and a night of drunken sex. She wanted to know more about him. Talk to him. In a strange way, despite not knowing Archie very well, she missed him. She'd try again today.

---

When Archie opened the door he'd see Natalie standing there in jeans, black leather boots and a beige coat, under which was a grey cardigan. After several days in his squalor, the hastily-dressed Natalie, with just enough makeup to cover up a past of substance abuse, must have looked incredibly glamorous and cosmopolitan. She raised an eyebrow at this very tired, broken-looking man with his shirt off with a scent of booze that could probably get you drunk if you smelled it long enough. Suddenly, Natalie felt very good about her own life of isolation and minimum wage. At least she tidied and cooked. The younger woman sighed.

"I've been trying to get in touch with you to make sure you were okay after that night. Clearly, you're not. Can I come in?" she asked with genuine concern.

It had been a while since Natalie had gotten back home. It was almost the middle of the night right now. Natalie had left the site of her and Archie's battle with Bianca pretty quickly after finding clothes, despite Archie's attempts to sit down have some kind of conversation. Then wasn't the time. Natalie needed to go back to somewhere safe and familiar, shower, dress in her own clothes and calm down. Before she left, she finally managed to reclaim her mobile phone, and exchange numbers with Archie. She gave him specific instructions to text her when he got back home to let her no that he was safe, of sound mind and there was nothing else to worry about. Still no text. He should have gotten home a long time ago. Maybe something was wrong! Maybe he was attacked again! Maybe he transformed again! She had to know!

Grabbing her coat (still with a bloodstained sleeve) she headed out quietly to avoid waking El if she was in tonight, and started to brisk-walk towards the address Archie gave her, which was actually quite close. When she arrived at the apartment block's front door, she buzzed Archie's apartment number, then waited. Then she buzzed it again for longer. When there was still no response, she looked around Seeing nobody, pushed the door open, wincing when the door's twisted, mangled lock clattered to the floor. She carried on to Archie's front door, and knocked that. Then she knocked it again, harder this time. The whole wall actually shook a little.

"Archie? Are you in there? Are you okay?"

As Ayel went upstairs, Heidi turned and went downstairs, exiting the stairwell and taking her bearings. She was not in the backstage area of the club proper. She made her way silently to the stage itself and peeked through the closed curtains. Yes, the actual club area was brimming with armed guards, and they were focusing their attention on the front door so all had their backs to her. If she needed to distract them when the time came for her friends to need some assistance, there was a lot of sound equipment on the stage that Heidi could utilise, that would distract the guards while leaving Heidi unaffected. However, she would have to time that right in such a case otherwise she could put her teammates at a disadvantage too. Besides, she had to search for Uná. That was priority over helping out her more-than-capable classmates.

Leaving the stage area, Heidi went back to searching the backstage corridors of the first floor. There were dressing rooms, and storage rooms, but none contained any sign of life. Every few seconds, Heidi would check all around her to make sure nobody was sneaking up on her. The ground floor was clear, and Heidi was about to return to the stairwell oblivious to the sounds of gunfire, when she noticed that the lights were flickering unnaturally. She couldn't hear the songs playing, or the sound of a bike in the distance, but one thing she did know that when the lights flicker, somebody sends somebody else to check the fusebox, just to make sure. Heidi's first thought was to hide. Then she reasoned that if she took out this one guard in isolation, that's one less guard her friends had to fight. On the other hand, it might raise the alarms if he was discovered. One the other, other hand, will things stay off-alert for that long with Ayel upstairs? She decided in the end to take him out.

She hid in a changing room and watched as, sure enough, a guard was heading to the breaker room, clearly relaxed as he thought that he was further away from danger now he was out of reach of the door. Despite having no combat training, Heidi ran some simulations in her head of what certain actions would likely result in. A great many of them resulted in her getting shot or captured. She picked one of the options that didn't result in that outcome, and snuck out, tailing the guard. When she was close enough, she simultaneously kicked his leading leg from under him, and reached up to clasp his mouth with her hand. While he was struggling, threatening to escape the much weaker little girl, she put all of her body weight into her arm while he was still unstable balance-wise, and sent his head slamming into the wall with a sickening slapping sound. He was out cold. Possible concussion but unlikely given the official statistics. Nobody was alerted. All in all, a success.

Now that she knew the ground floor was not where Uná was being kept, Heidi headed back to the stairwell.

For a while, Pokkin had been standing in the center of her town, with her eyes closed, sensing the insane power level that had decimated Parsley City in it's entirety. Since the explosion she had told the rest of the townspeople, including her own son, to stay inside while she, the strongest fighter in the town by far, lay in wait. If the being that did this came here, she would hold it off while everybody escaped. When it started systematically heading to, and beating, other strong fighters with similar power to her own, Pokkin realised that it was systematically hunting down strong fighters, and it must be sensing them or otherwise tracking them. Pokkin immediately lowered her ki, and left the confines of the town. If it still decided to come for her, the town would be safe.

Luckily it never came, probably due to her ki suppression. What's more it seemed like the strong power levels were converging and teaming up against the monster. Would they win? Did they need her help? Would she even get there in time? She couldn't fly. She would have to run all the way there, and it was far away, further away that she had ever traveled before. Plus, she couldn't abandon her village with no warning. She would have to go and tell them what her plans were, and possibly even say goodbye.

The fight was so fast, and so frantic, and so hard to keep up with, that it was over while she was still contemplating this. The insanely high power level disappeared. Then several of the high power levels started heading for her. If they defeated the thing that had destroyed Parsley City, then they were good, right? Even so, Pokkin couldn't be too careful, and returned to the town. Even though they were strong, Pokkin had a chance with these power levels. Although she waited, they didn't reach the town. One of them stopped in the neighboring forest, before heading north.

Finally realising the coast in clear, Pokkin breathed a sigh of relief, and went around telling the townspeople that it was okay and safe now. Finally she headed to her own house, where her son was waiting. He was asleep. The excitement of the day had tired him out. Pokkin planted a kiss on his forehead, tucked him in properly, and then wrote him a note, explaining that the danger had passed, everything was safe, and his mother was going to find out more about what exactly happened. She also told the same general message to several of the senior townspeople, before heading out.

She ran north, through the forests and woodlands, until she reached the coast, whereupon she leapt in the water and swam with the speed and power of the fastest speedboats currently built. She was only going this slow because she wasn't in a rush and didn't want to tire herself out in the unlikely case that she needed to fight later. After a while of swimming, the icy cliffs of Yunzabit Heights were in view. With one powerful leap, pushing off from the water, Pokkin scaled the cliff and laded on terra firma. She once again closed her eyes to focus, to shut out all five earthly senses, and tried to sense the ki of the fighter who came here.
