Circles of Hell

Little did any of them, need they be Ascendancy or Moonstrike know, there was someone within a still smoldering hull breach near the roof of the ship, the black uniform perfectly camouflaged amidst the black smoke and darkness as he looks the crew of the Xuanxang about to make their move. It would normally be next to impossible for him to be able to breathe being in the center of the black smoke like that, however on his head was a helmet, and one of the features of it were a gas filter, letting him take point in areas that are normally suicide locations for guys like him.

As his long black coat - tattered from age - flaps in the wind, he stared upon the two groups about to come into contact with each other through the scope of his rifle...detached from his rifle to serve as a miniature telescope, said scope using infrared in order to see past the black smoke at the people down on ground level. His orders seemed clear enough, keeping watch on the newcomers as they make their way to the ship, but ensure something stands in their way to make sure none of them interfere with their own objectives aboard this ship. It seems they were trying to sneak in without being found out by the ascendancy soldiers...

...A plan that seemed to fail, as the fighting began.

"U-umm, Boss? ...The new guys are engaging the Ascendancy folk....Umm...what should I do?" The sniper whispered into his communicator.

"At least we now have confirmation they're not with them. ...Then we do this as planned, do not engage any of them for now, unless they engage you first. Fire the jammer when ready, we'll switch to Bishop's channel after that." The voice of the silhouette from before said through his communicator, a sigh of relief quickly left his breath when he had the order to not engage any of them, mumbling an "Oh, thank you God..." under his breath.

Without another word, the Sniper grabbed his rifle from his back and placed the scope back on. Aiming his rifle upwards into the sky, and loading a special bullet down the barrel, he pulled the trigger. The sound of his sniper rifle firing was camouflaged to the normal ears thanks to the guns and tank cannon firing below serving as camouflage. However, since Rachel had cybernetic ears that just got fixed up by Legion, she would probably be the only one who hears it.

As the special bullet is launched into the sky, it exploded into a mist of particles that spread outwards across the whole of the crash area. In an instant, the communications from all sides, via their ships, their communicators, and even long-range communications from afar, have effectively been jammed. No one from either side of the board is now capable of using their communicators. Fortunately, it seemed to simply be a mist that disrupts radio signals completely, rather than an Electro-magnetic pulse or anything like that, so only the communicators seemed to be effected.

Inside the ship, if the swearing echoing off the empty halls of the ship is any indication, it seems the Ascendancy forces have noticed their communications now being shot. Little did they know that that was the least of their worries. In areas beyond where Snow is, Ascendancy soldiers slowly but surely were vanishing from their posts left and right without a sound. Whatever screams were being made were not heard by the guards, thanks to the runes that were showing up more and more across the walls. Some of the hallways far from where Realist was confined, abandoned to all save for one or two guards that were no longer there, were now drenched in fresh blood, broken bones, and viscera. If the communications were working and any of them saw these blood-drenched halls, this would be when they hear the ascendancy soldiers begin panicking over the radio. Oh well, the panicked yells and hollers of those still alive reverberating across the ship as they try to find out what's happened to the others, their tone caked with fear, was enough to satisfy the one responsible for this carnage, as he jumps from one point of the ship to the other.

As soldiers began to fade, and the ones still alive were now scattering about to find out what's happened to them, two other silhouettes, one of them being the one who watched the Xuanxang from before, was making their way to the cell holding Realist, evidently from the opposite direction of Snow's path.
@Lumiere It's a shame you're pulling out, but tbh this RP had ground to a halt and I'm not sure it'll ever start so I don't think it matters too much

Oh it's gonna start. I have the IC ready, we're just waiting on two people to complete their CSes.
On the surface of the Planet, indeed the Ascendancy soldiers, survivors of the Circle of Hell's crash, were surveying the area around them with their weaponry. It was nothing short of rotten luck that had this prison ship land on a planet currently undergoing a farmer rebellion against their army; anyone who would likely be willing to lend a helping hand to them has their hands full with the overly armed farmers. As such, it seemed likely they were ready for anything that could be thrown at them.

What wasn't likely seen by Moonstrike or by Xuanxang during the briefing was the silhouette in the distance, overlooking these soldiers as they continued to guard the parameter around the crashed Circle. There was not much to say about the man - even that is not entirely clear - as half of his body was covered in what appeared to be light black armor over a black jumpsuit, while the other half was disproportionately covered in a clearly black armor. His face and head was additionally covered by what appeared to be a round-helmet made almost entirely out of tinted glass.

One would imagine that he'd be quite inconspicuous, seeing as its daylight and the black colored aesthetic contrasts the daylight colors of the area. Combine that with ascendancy guards and guns looking around for their own safety, and this person looked more and more like he was just asking to get shot. It might be due in part to the fact that he is keeping his distance from the site for the moment, not enough distance to make a long run back, nor long enough to not be able to notice the guards, but just enough to where one would have to squint hard to notice him, not helped that he is currently using this dark aesthetic to his advantage, hiding behind the shadow of a tree.

He simply stood there in silence, waiting for something to happen, making hand-signs to seemingly no one in particular. However his hand stopped doing so all of a sudden, as he began looking around, as if he was alerted to something by someone not currently with him. His gaze turned towards the direction where the Xuanxang was landing.

Placing his hand to the bottom of his helmet where his chin would be, he looked again towards the Circle of Hell, then, after about a half-minute, he pressed his fingers against the part of the helmet covering his ears.

"...There is no need to fret. We may be able to remedy the situation yet. Bishop, establish a channel." The man said, clearly to whoever was speaking on the other end of the communicator. After a little while of simply standing there, he began to move out of the shadows, revealing more armor than usual on his legs and one of his arms.

Slowly but surely, he began heading closer and closer to the Prison ship, seemingly making damn sure that no one would spot him. The closer he got, the more it would be realized that he wasn't alone, as other silhouettes begin closing in.

Hello there everybody, My name is The Jest, I am here at the invitation of our GM Letter.

Normally I would just drop the intro and just display my CSes, However, the GM requested I get involved with this current first mission immediately as Antagonists.....Antagonists other than Alexander. Seems I'll be bringing in plenty of them as well...and a couple Protagonists of course.

At Letter's Request, and Permission, For these particular antagonistic characters, I shall be skipping the CS accepting temporarily, so that I can step into this mission pronto, and makes things more... Interesting.

The details I'm keeping a secret for now. Just know that all the character I'm bringing out into this RP, were approved in advance by Letter.

Looking forward to have fun with you all. ...In more ways than one. ^_^
@The Jest We should probably round everyone up and get started on the IC, lest we start loosing people

I'm currently finishing up on detailing the Universe at the request of some of the players. Once I finish it, we're almost ready.

Due to two of my three Co-GM's critique on the design and organization of the CS, I decided to help out by reorganizing it via this Quote. I hope you don't mind, Godlikeblade.

I have already PMed you some of the additional critiques that aren't related to the CS' design, so all you have to do is modify the details with those critiques and this quote in mind and you'll be good to go.
@The Jest With that, we should have a full crew.

Technically yes. However, Menacing's CS still needs to be complete, and I'm waiting on two other potential Deckhands to make their CSes.

As for you @SilverPaw You are Accepted. Please place your character in the CHAR section.

The Arron Nickname for Ileshra: "Spots" XD
I've been thinking of perhaps making a character for this, to add another member to the deckhands. What I've considered so far is a (Denar) former imperial soldier (perhaps combat medic) gone rogue for one reason or another. Another option I've thought of is a (Alori) spy who had been sent to infiltrate the empire by some sort of organization/faction but who had to flee both powers due to being 'compromised'. Might there be space for one such and does either sound viable?

Either one sounds good to me. (I advise you read the above post by Menacing Effect when it comes to the Denar)

However, between these two, I'd personally advise the Alori. Not just because we have a medic already and a surgeon as well, but because I can help you in regards to who sent them as a Spy. But I know it'll be a deckhand either way, so whichever one you feel comfortable with, I would advise doing. ^^
@agentmanatee @CronicCrystalis

Your characters are accepted. Throw them in the CHAR section.

@DeadDrop May I have a status report, please?
@Emma I understand. ^^
