Beneath the glasslike surface of a crystal pool, something stirred. Moving with the grace of a mermaid, it silently made its presence invisible to wait in due time. After all, trying to approach the Stargazer of all beings was no easy task and required a patience that truly strained the swimming being’s own. It wasn’t until Ciel had been lulled into a serene state that the presence made their move, darting to where it was behind the girl. It also helped that Ciel had plunged nearly her entire body into the water, unknown and unaware to what would strike her…

“Even so, two at once is….” Like a predator of the depths, two hands zipped upwards from their water prison, the palms taking a melon each. They gripped without compromise for letting go and the culprit finally revealed themselves behind Ciel with a violent splash. “Two at once is quite the catch for me,” the voice said in mischievous delight, a girl with silvery long hair appearing. By the way she was smirking, she was enjoying the free show the Stargazer was giving her.

While cosmic calamity was happening in that dimension, more of it would show itself in the realm of Heaven. The Imperator’s throne room was, as usual, starting to become buzzed with the activity of those who had nothing better to do. And try as she might, Ruxen couldn’t just ignore it. It wasn’t in her instinct to and a deep red eye opened itself from her perched position by the meditating Imperator’s feet.

The Beastkin growled, rising and slowly padding over to where Chen was standing. Her ears perked up and she could tell there was someone else here; someone who thought stinking up the throne room with their cooking was a good idea. “Chen, whoever it is, just throw them out the fucking window. Piece of shit making the whole fucking room smell like crap,” she said. It was the most positive she would be getting today.

Tholl was correct in the matter that no, the wolf really didn’t understand a lick of what she was saying. Not that it mattered when she could keep all her legs intact and without a bite mark. The wolf was still grumbling, low growls ever present but not to the point where it may have been a concern. Instead, it allowed the web to loop around its fur, treading slowly when Tholl motioned for them to be leaving. Whether it had some actual conscience or was just following along in the direction of more warm bodies would be difficult to tell, even by the teacher.

“I do hope that’s not your new pet, Tholl.” The voice of the Head Magister would resonate in the teacher’s mind. It would have been difficult to conceal such an animal from Aria, especially one that…smelled. “Please keep it away from the students. We don’t need more panic attacks and rumors of wild animals let loose in the school.”

The Head Magister projected this all as she walked along with Trey, eventually reaching the school once more. The spider teacher didn’t need to see her face to know the sigh in Aria’s voice. It would be just their luck Hikari would be getting a full PR review if this event got out. These thoughts were interrupted both by Trey’s declaration to her as well as the message she received from Reiko.

Aria smiled and shook her head at Trey. “I wouldn’t say you wasted our time. This just means you can live on another day and take this time as a learning experience. I know you can and will grow stronger from it.” Encouraging words to match his own, she watched him trot off in what looked like confusion. She was about to call out and inform him of directions before Circe did it instead, Aria wondering what surprises she would be bringing to the school year.

But now wasn’t the time to be thinking of the students’ futures. Unfortunately. They had a crisis to be averting and it didn’t take very long to find Reiko. Disasters seemed to follow that redhead casually and this time was no different. “Do you really have to do that indoors?” asked Aria with a heavy sigh. Nevermind that; with haste, she led the way to the Great Hall's stage, dreading the fact she had to announce herself twice to the students in the same day. And yet...what had dared to murder on her school grounds.
