Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Estelle Varianbec

"Ah?"

Of course, she should perhaps have expected this, given it was her idea to take a position on the rooftop of one of these nearby buildings. However, it wasn't exactly easy to be prepared for suddenly being lifted and then flying through the air as if she had suddenly sprouted wings. Unconsciously, Estelle found herself clinging to one of her Servant's arms, before the both of them landed safely and easily stop the building.

"... Good work, Lancer," she declared, simply, quickly releasing his arm. The small, tan-skinned girl hadn't at all been a little frightened by the sudden motion and height. That was, of course, beneath her. As she was lowered to her feet, she quickly took stock of the situation. The opponent was unknown, but even if they had detected the presence of another Servant it would be impossible for them to determine any other details. It would also have been difficult for them to recognize their motion, especially after Lancer took on spirit form. Finally, there was no possibility in which any Master participating in this Grail would be able to outmatch her in a battle of magecraft. She simply refused to accept such a possibility.

Lancer would engage and defeat the enemy Servant, and she would force the Master to surrender. If no surrender could be obtained...

She wouldn't hesitate to crush them.

@RolePlayerRoxas
I'll post tomorrow!

Edit: Nevermind, still need @Crimson Paladin to post.
@Natsu: When you get the backstory done I'll give it my judgement.
Konpaku Youmu

For several moments, Youmu simply sat and stared ahead dully, the light in her eyes seeming to even be dimmed or wholly nonexistent. The small, white-haired girl was unable to even begin to understand what had happened, why Yuyuko-sama could possibly have vanished, where she could have gone... any of it. She didn't really respond when a hand was set on her shoulder. It was one thing if Yuyuko had simply gone somewhere else, but to have disappeared entirely...

...

... Wait...

Not one, but two of the others present, the Empress and then Leo, pointed out that when Yakumo had mentioned that Yuyuko vanished, it could just have easily meant she was here. In fact, wasn't that the more likely option? Yakumo did sound rather unconcerned, and there was no way she would have been so nonchalant if the situation was as dire as the total disappearance of Saigyouji Yuyuko! That meant that she had to be here somewhere, didn't it?

Feeling slightly foolish, Youmu rose to her feet.

"That... that's right!" she declared, "Yuyuko-sama has to be here somewhere! There's no way she just disappeared completely... she's probably off enjoying a meal somewhere!"

That sounded like Yuyuko-sama... she was, after all, the silly type who would wander off if it meant she got to have delicious food.

"She probably wandered off to have something to eat," Youmu said, nodding to herself, "That... seems like something Yuyuko-sama would do.

@Natsu: You start with an Archetype, but you don't know what it is if you're a new magical girl, so you can't use its full strength.

And yes, you have the standard things for magical girls.
That could work, though it'd likely be a relatively weak Archetype due to the details of Archetype strengths I mentioned in the OP.
@Otaku95: That works, but when I talk about Archetypes I mean like...

You could get away with basing her guns on a famous bow, for example, as long as there was some kind of logic for it.
@Otaku95: I want to remind you that Archetypes are always specific things, that actually exist in some capacity. Even if they're "fictional". You can have, say, the Kusanagi as an Archetype, but you couldn't have a Japanese sword you just made up.

Of course if there is something you're sourcing for those feel free to correct me. ^^;

@TheFake: Looks good, accepted.
@Natsu: That works fine.
@Natsu: I imagine it'll last a decent while, and for posting commitment at least once a week would be nice?
