Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

@Pitsuji: And she's on the list.
@Bartimaeus: Alrighty, on the list.

@The World: On the list here, too.
The crimson-haired young woman blinked, surprised by the sight of the blonde-haired Archer-Knight for a moment.

"Ah, well, it is a pleasure to meet one of the Iron Rose Knights," she responded, bowing her head and raising her skirt as she curtsied, "I am Annika, of the Autmere family, and this-"

The dark-skinned young man in jeweled clothing eagerly stepped forward.

"Were your hand unoccupied, I would shake it!" he declared. While he did have the accent associated with Asharaad, his Thalnan was clear and, while very formal, spoken with confidence, "I am Samir Nadeem Bashar, son of Farid Nadeem Bashar! It is a great pleasure to meet one of the storied Rose Knights."

"-... Lord Bashar here has taken a great interest in our people's history and culture," Annika continued after a pause, smiling somewhat, "His father is a diplomat, so getting to know the people he practices his craft with only makes sense."

"Indeed, indeed!" declared Samir, "Not only your people, but all the peoples of the west. My father has told me much, and I am quite eager to learn more!"

"As you can see, I don't suppose either of us would mind sharing a drink," added Annika.

"Thank you, mister!"

The little girl was practically bouncing in place, her huge hat bobbing atop her head, as Sir Fleuri accepted her request for help. Indeed, while her outfit was rather strange, it wasn't difficult to understand why such a small girl would struggle to make her way through the crowds. The fact the hat kept nearly falling over her eyes certainly couldn't help. She kept having to push it back and adjust it in a bit to prevent it from occurring once again.

Pausing a moment when 'Cteline' spoke to her, the small girl tilted her head slightly.

"Why are you wearing a dress, Mister Cteline?" she asked, "Do you like girls' clothes?"

It was spoken in such an innocent manner, but it seemed that the little girl had managed to immediately recognize the fact that 'Cteline' wasn't exactly a noblelady.

Exactly how she had realized this was not likely to be answered, as she happily followed Sir Fleuri to the table.

Adorning the sweets portion of the party's food was all manner of confections and baked goods. The exotic candied fruits of less-familiar shapes and colors originating from Kashahn, honey-sweetened pastries finished with a rich glaze, crisp wafers with a white-and-black marbled pattern, fruit-filled puddings, and above all of them was the enormous cake coated in purple and gold.

"Ooooh...!" the little girl's green eyes sparkled excitedly as they travelled over the assortment of treats on display, "They all look so tasty... I want that one!"

The sleeve flopped as the girl raised her right hand to point at the cake.

Given it was nearly bigger then she was, this couldn't possibly be an advisable decision.

"Thaaaanks, Sir Knights!" she continued, brightly, waving for Fleuri to lean closer.

If he did...

When the girl whispered in his ear, it would be far less bright and cheery.

"That Princess could meet an unfortunate fate, if no-one is watching her. It's better to be safe then sorry, right?"

And then she was gone.

Alongside the entire cake.

@DarckLeon: And he's on the list.
@AThousandCurses: Yep, on the list.
@Pitsuji: Post them in the OOC.
@AThousandCurses: This mostly looks good, however the appearance for your Echo should be a little less literal and a little more surreal, ideally. I want to avoid any looking too human.

I'd also suggest elaborating a little on its abilities, as you'll note I had Landsharks elaborate a bit more if you look back at the bio now.

Also while I won't be rescinding that acceptance, it was a mistake on my part. I'll instead be adding bios to a candidates list if they're potentially acceptable, since there's so much interest and I want to give everyone a fair shot before I start formal acceptances.
@Psyker Landshark: Accepted. Hey, there's our example.
@Pitsuji: Fully realized Echoes are for later on, with character development. I'll see if I can work out a good generic example that won't spoil too much, but that's a little difficult given the character is a big part of it too.

@DarckLeon: Yep, that's the idea.
Was that a maid, calling to her? But why? She didn't know any maids? Her family only had one, and this definitely wasn't her so-

Anne paused, staring in mute shock at the sight of the boy who had suddenly approached and hauled the maid to her feet.

There was no way she'd fail to recognize him. That was one of the capture targets, Reginald von Afah.

In other words, one of the people she wanted to interact with the least. There was no way she was going to approach the maid at all when he was around. It didn't matter what he was doing or saying, all that mattered is escaping from this situation as quickly as possible.

Turning on her heel and doing her best to vanish into the crowd, Anne was almost immediately encountered with the sight of another familiar but far less worrisome face.

Noctis Algretto was a boy, but he didn't have any flags. He was just a friend. She already knew him, in fact, and that made the fact he had just collapsed was an excellent excuse to get out of the courtyard and to somewhere less exposed as quickly as possible. Not to mention the fact that he'd just collapsed, someone had to help him!

"Ah, I... I should g-get you to the nurse's office!"

Escape as quickly as possible, make sure Noctis was okay. That was the plan in Anne's mind.
