Sometimes you spend so long looking for peace in someone else, you loose sight of that peace you can give yourself. Don't forget that guys.

As the Egg-Stealer had begun to transform and force the knife away from itself, it's fingers becoming nothing more than vines determined to squeeze the life from him, though his armor prevented it, the Guardian could already hear Zavala in his head as if the Titan was there, watching the fight happen. "Why did you run ahead without a plan or, more importantly, your fireteam? No plan ever survives contact with the enemy, but no Guardian can survive forever without his fireteam." James, as he felt the Body-Snatcher began to stand, wondered just how many times over the years he'd proven the old Titan right. As he moved to begin cutting the snatcher's fingers, although how effective that would be at this point was up in the air, Charger's voice came through. "You have your smoke bomb! Use it!"
The news put the now reinvigorated Nightstalker in a good mood, and as he reached his bag, which had begun standing up and opening it's mouth, the knife vanished from James's hand with Charger's help and a Voidwall grenade appeared in it's place as a smoke bomb appeared in his other hand. "Hope your bag doesn't mind a bit of indigestion, buddy." A confused look crossed the monster's face as he dropped the grenade into the sack's open mouth, which detonated a second later, void flames beginning to consume it from the inside out. At the same time, James tossed the smoke bomb at the snatcher's forehead, where it stuck for a moment before beeping and exploding in a black cloud laced with purple. When that happened, James would hopefully be released and dropped to the ground, where he would draw his Imago Loop as he rolled away from the ugly bastard towards a nearby piece of cover while the other heroes dealt with the Green Army Men, the remaining minions and the infected civilian.
@Holy SoldierI'm interested in playing as an XCOM soldier (Support, from the first game). It's a little limited, since the XCOM operatives don't have much of a history or personality, but I'm sure I could whip something up, and it might be fun to see one develop a personality. It's also extremely easy to track weapons, abilities, and items, and I've played more than enough XCOM to know the gear
If you would prefer I play a more advanced kind of character, I am also interested in trying Commander Shepard. But I've only play ME3, so. Not as familiar.
If Frisk could see the deadpan look on Alicia's face behind her helmet, he would realize that the Titan didn't make jokes. Now, it wasn't that she was unfamiliar jokes or puns, as both James and other Hunters made them every chance they got, and even Warlocks were known to do it on occasion. The issue was that Alicia herself was entirely unfunny, despite her best attempts at the thing known as humor. She still remembered how she'd told a joke, the specific joke escaped her, while everyone around her was laughing and it had immediately killed the mood, with the laughter just coming to an abrupt stop as everyone stared at her.
Iron knew this and appeared near Frisk, careful to keep out of the line of sight of the two Bros. "We might have a problem, Frisk. The issue for Alicia isn't that she doesn't know any jokes or how to tell them, it's that she's so unfunny that she can kill the joy with a single joke. But she does have access to her flashbang grenade once more, and since these guys are into explosives, maybe a shared interest of some kind can convince them to let her pass." Meanwhile, Alicia was stepping out of the way and beckoning to the Lawyer to step forwards with his own jokes and puns.
"I, uh, need to think of something good, so I'll go last. The rest of you go ahead." She was really hoping that Frisk would agree to the Flashbang plan, otherwise the entire plan would go south in one bad joke attempt and it would be entirely her fault, since it seemed that the Senior Poppy Bros were only going to let them pass so long as they could maintain a funny flow. Come on girl, think. What would James say here that would make them lose their mind in laughter? Or at least get him past in one piece without putting the rest of the team at risk... And thus the Stalwart began to wrack her brain for a joke she had heard James tell, or a Warlock, that might keep her from ruining the plan.
@Sep@EliteCommander@Enalais After many hours, both leader and faction are done. I will leave them here so I can sleep.
Name: Jason Je’and Species: Human-Coruscant Native Age: 56 Appearance:
Faction: Republic Remnant Equipment:
The assault cannon was issued to the Supreme Commander during his days as a SWAT officer for the security force before the Clone Wars. During the wars, it served him well, gunning down more then its fair share of droids and Separatists alike before being shelved once more for the role of leader.
The vibroknife is a standard issue weapon for all military members that weren’t a Jedi. He keeps it good and sharp for when it does get used.
The R-30017 is a specialized blaster pistol that works well for quick draws that require little to no aiming. It’s also the only other weapon besides his Vibroknife Jason always carries.
Skills:
Combat Training-Between his training as a SWAT officer and his training as a naval officer, this man knows where, when, and how to put a blaster someplace it’ll be effective. He also has hand to hand training due to his SWAT training.
Tactician-Between SWAT assignments and his position as both an Admiral of the 6th Republic Fleet and the impromptu commander of the 237th Clone Legion, tactics and strategy come naturally for him, though he is fully aware that no plan survives contact with the enemy.
Weaknesses:
Age-For all his skill and all his patriotism, he’s still getting up there in age, and it shows. He doesn’t move as fast as he used to nor does he react as fast.
Desire for Justice-While many would consider his sense of betrayal a strong point, it often blinds him to a better course of action if he is pushed hard or far enough.
History:
“We should have known it was coming, Palpatine was too smooth a talker. But the war kept us distracted, from thinking too hard on just what he meant when he said something.”
Jason Je’and was born the only child to a security officer father and waitress mother in the middle levels of Coruscant. While the area certainly wasn’t the greatest place in the world, it was still better than living in the lower levels, where crime ran rampant and the security forces overwhelmed trying to control it. Both parents were kind and caring to their son, but they also taught him that there was always a time to do the hard thing.
He grew up doing little more than your average child, going to school, playing, the normal things. But he also wanted to be like his father and join Coruscant security, specifically their SWAT branch. So when he turned thirteen, he started working to do so, acing his tests, keeping his grades high and his physical and mental health in good condition. By the time he was eighteen, he was already set to enter Security’s academy where he graduated with high honors and was accepted into the Security force.
He spent two years, not counting the two years in the Academy, as a normal security officer, during which he spent time studying the SWAT manuals, learning the drills and weapons and tactics that all went into it, and even got to practice a few of them during an arrest of a Drunk Dug who had been stealing to feed his gambling problem. In his third year, he was inducted into the SWAT unit and there was were he stayed for the next three years, until the Clone Wars began. He was twenty-five when news reached the Core Worlds of the conflicts beginning and, being proud of being in the Republic, signed up to get to where he could make the most difference, as a Fleet Admiral. Another two years of training put him at graduation just after his twenty seventh birthday and in command of a fleet before the end of his twenty seventh year. He saw many battles in the next three years while serving alongside Jedi General Siyen Ronen, a Togruta Jedi Master who treated his clones like family and mourned the losses they suffered alongside them. However, during the Battle of Manaan, a Kolto rich planet, Master Siyen was slain in battle with a group of commando droids, a pair of them managing to catch the Jedi Master from behind and run him through with their vibroblades. Knowing that the fleet battle was already won thanks to an improvised explosive delivered to the engines of the Providence-class flagship, donned his militarized SWAT armor and retrieved his assault cannon.
His arrival was enough to rally the scattered clones who had been under the Jedi master’s direct command and turned the losing battle into a decisive victory for the Republic. A funeral was held in honor of the fallen Jedi General, but a new one was never assigned, leaving leadership of the 237th Clone Legion on Jason. He served as their commander until the execution of Order 66, where he left command of the Legion and joined Nama Le in the Deep Labs.
Now, he leads the Republic Remnant as the Supreme Commander, the rank formerly held by the Republic’s highest ranking military official before the demilitarization of the Republic in 1000 BBY with every intent of restoring the Republic as it was and should have been.
Faction Logo(If applicable): Faction Name: Republic Remnant Faction Classification: Resurgance Group Faction Leader: Faction Members(Players): Important NPCs:
One of a handful of Kaminoans who were always suspicious of Nala Se upon her demands that Order 66 be added to the list of orders in the inhibitor chips, she is now the head of the Remnant’s cloning operations, having purged the inhibitor chips of the original 2500 embryos she and her fellows smuggled away and rewritten the order list. She is relentless about who oversees the clones, and many of the Clone Commanders are rarely allowed to see their younger brothers train as a result.
Commander Hammer was one of the first Clones to finish the accelerated growth process after Nama Le fled Tipoca City with a handful of like minded fellows and roughly 2,500 embryos twenty-three years after the end of the Clone Wars. He is considered to be the toughest of all his brothers and has aided in the training of subsequent generations of Clones and those who have been recruited from off world. He leads the 302nd Clone Legion of the Republic and is a stalwart believer that if any of his brothers still serve the Imperial remnants, they can be saved. That doesn’t, however, keep him from doing what he must.
Damian Wren was one of the Instructors who had aided in training the Phase Two Clones during the Clone Wars. He was a much younger Mandalorian then, having only just turned 19. A few months later, Nama Le approached him and a handful of the other Mandalorian trainers about joining them in another laboratory which would serve the same purpose, but they would be paid more, for both services and silence. Unaware that Nama Le was privy to information that had forced her hand, they all agreed. Two weeks later, midtransport to this laboratory, that the information was revealed to the trainers. When given the option to turn back, none of them did. The truth was a stain on all their honors that required rectification. After a screening process on arrival, Damian was chosen as the new DNA template for the new Clones, but he continues training new generations as they’re ready.

Faction History:
“Twenty-three years ago, the Republic was betrayed from within…
Shortly after what came to be known as the Battle of Naboo, a Jedi Master known as Sifo Dyas foresaw the coming of a conflict that would ravage the galaxy and destroy the Republic that had stood for over thousands years. In an effort to prepare the Republic, a demilitarized institution since 1000 BBY, he plead with the Jedi Council to build an army. Unfortunately, they saw his methods as too aggressive and dismissed him from the Council. This did not stop him and he went to the Kaminoan cloners behind the Council’s back and commissioned a clone army from the DNA of the Mandalorian Jango Fett, who accepted without any questions or complaints, but with the requirement that one of the clones be his to raise as his son, which was agreed to.
Unfortunately, Master Sifo Dyas never saw his army come to fruition, as he was set up to be killed by Darths Sidious and Tyranus, a murder which remained unknown for years to come. With the Jedi’s death, Tyranus arranged for Order 66, a kill order that was to be given only by the Supreme Chancellor should the Jedi every betray the Republic. It was ten years later that the clone army that the Jedi Master had ordered was found by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, who had tracked a mysterious attacker back to Kamino. After perusing the army, Master Kenobi met the template for it, the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett.
Fett was the mysterious attacker he had been hunting for and a battle erupted on a landing platform that lead to the Clone Wars. Nala Se helped to ensure that every clone’s inhibitor chip was installed with Order 66, but the sudden need for an addition for a back up plan to deal with the Jedi, when it was a Jedi who’d placed the order, caused many of her fellow cloners great suspicion, chief among them being Nama Le. Nama Le devoted much of her spare time keeping an eye on her colleague, despite many of her fellow cloners insisting she was simply being paranoid. After a time, her vigil grew less intense, but remained. The majority of the Clone Wars saw no reason for Nama Le’s suspicion, but she maintained her vigil up until the Clone Trooper Tup was brought back to be tested for something wrong after killing one of his Jedi Generals. His companion Fives came with him to keep an eye on him and be a volunteer for mirror tests.
During the testing period, and right up to the passing of Tup, Nama Le had copies of the results sent to her, and she even received a copy of the testing of Tup’s malfunctioned inhibitor chip. Her suspicion renewed, she discreetly followed Nala Se to the communications room where she listened to her companion converse with none other than Count Dooku, who wanted to ensure the Jedi never learned of Order 66. Knowing the Jedi wouldn’t believe her, she went to those who were also suspicious of Nala Se’s motives. When she shared her discovery, outrage, anger, and fear grew in their eyes and the agreed to a secret meeting. Two days later, the group, around three dozen cloners strong, met for a private lunch and made plans. Several of them arranged for a laboratory to be built deep under the waves of a water planet in the Unknown Regions, known a Harion, while others began to have embryos set aside for “special training” while yet others recruited the trainers they felt to be the most trustworthy without sharing anything discriminating. The remainder made sure that no records remained of their planning, a process that took until the end of the war.
Nama Le made one final contact, pulling the then acting commander of the 237th Clone Legion away from his duties. Informing him of her discovery, he didn’t believe it at first until the Clone Commander of the 237th, Commander Owen, contacted him and informed him that another commander was calling for aid in dealing with a group of “Jedi traitors” in another system. Sending the clones and fleet without him, he agreed to lead the as of yet unborn legions against whatever took the place of the Republic he’d fought so hard to defend.
And so the last vestiges of the Old Republic went into hiding deep beneath Harion’s waves, where it would spend the next twenty three years preparing to make a return to known space as punish the traitors who came to form the Galactic Empire and bring Sheev Palpatine to justice for his crimes. As the years passed, the Remnant was able to keep tabs on the galaxy at large thanks to transmissions received from the surface and when news of the Rebellion reached them, many of the now mature Clones pushed to join it, to give them the definitive edge they needed to bring down the Empire before it grew too powerful. But the now Supreme Commander Jason Je’and said no. “To what end would crashing ourselves against a freshly formed galactic superpower serve? To weaken us to the point of no return? No, we will remain as we are and build our own strength as their politicians and officers grow lazy. As it stands, we are not strong enough to make a huge difference for the Rebellion.”
His final verdict given, the Remnant continued to grow and watch, waiting. During this time, recruiters under the disguise of mercenaries looking for others of like mind began to search the Outer Rim for others who wanted to fight against the Empire, but had no means to reach the Rebellion. These people were brought to Kamino and trained and armed, turned into a standard military to supplement the Clone forces that already existed. The destruction of the first Death Star allowed the Republic Remnant to begin to send out better feelers, upping their recruitment and even beginning to get a better feel for the state of the Empire.
It has since been an additional four years since the Death Star fell. The Trawler has spent that time ferrying the forces that had been building below the waves back to the surface and allowing them to head into space. With the death of Palpatine and the death of Jabba the Hutt, an opportunity has arisen to deal with the Imperial Moffs still with power in Hutt space and that cannot be missed. The traitors will pay.
As the sun began to set, Tommy and his team of Pokemon sat around a small firepit at a camp that they'd finished setting up a few hours before. Atana was in sight, a day's walk at most, so the aspiring Pokeleague Champion had decided to rest up before continuing. The incubator sat nearby as he and his team ate their food, the Pokemon chatting amongst themselves as Tommy thought out their training schedule for the mountains. There were still some type disadvantages that had to be addressed, such as Epsilon's weakness to Ice types, but overall, the team was strong.
Amica, after a few minutes of chatting, came over to her partner and sat next to him as he thought, silence reigning between the two for a few minutes before she spoke. "Froak, Froakie, Froak?" Tommy glanced at her and smiled, patting her head and giving her a bite of his roll. He knew she was concerned for him and had been since that battle with the guy bothering Entei, but he was getting better. In fact, I should probably call Cici here soon, make sure she reached Stella- His train of thought is derailed by a cracking sound coming from his incubator and Tommy looks at in surprise, as does his team. In fact, Beta falls off his log seat in surprise at the sound.
"Already? Wow that was fa-" He is once more cut off as the egg shatters to reveal a newborn Axew, who immediately looks around in confusion as the lid pops open to allow it out. Sharktooth races over to her fellow dragon-type and leads it to Tommy. After saying something to Amica, Amica points at herself and then the Axew. After a moment of confusion, it clicks. "OH! It's a girl! Alright then. How about...Xena?" The Axew contents itself to curl up next to Tommy and closing it's eyes and Sharktooth gives her trainer an approving nod before returning to her food while Beta grumbles in annoyance at being surprised. Tommy simply smiles and taps Xena with a pokeball, which instantly confirms itself as hers. "Welcome to the team, Xena. Get some rest."
It was a few minutes later, after things had settled down and Amica had taken a medatative pose, that the second surprise hit the camp. It started with a soft glow that surrounded Amica shortly before, as her trainer began to ask if she was OK, enveloped her. Tommy stared, dumbfounded, before the glow faded and, where a Froakie had sat a moment before, was now a Frogadier, who simply glanced down at herself before resuming her meditation. Tommy could only grin in pride, because now he knew that he was on his way to getting stronger.
Elias was beyond sure that he was capable of simply knocking out the legs and operator of the E-Web emplacement with a rocket, but as he went to reply that he could do so, Sol'id delivered a rocket of his own to the target and, due to smoke and crates, the Smuggler couldn't tell if the weapon was still in one piece. Well, there goes that plan. Sirka rushed in shortly after and offered additional suppressive fire with Elias's hired help. He took up a position just inside the entrance and fired another rocket, smashing the crates a trio of pirates are behind and exposing the Twi'lek, Togruta male, and Duros behind to the withering suppressive fire.
Elias, grinning as he bolts for the boxes, watches the Twi'lek and Duros fall with several burning holes in them, and the Togruta manage to crawl to a sturdier piece of cover before falling still, though he might not be dead. It was at this moment that a shot pinged off his leg armor, forcing the Mandalorian to roll and come up from behind a crate and give a pair of pirates two holes in their chests before returning fire on the Devaronian who was responsible, given away by the fact that he proceeded to shoot at Elias after he'd taken cover.
This form of back and forth continued for a couple of minutes, with a few more pirates ending up dead, dying, or wounded in the interim before Sirka's voice came on the comms. “I’ve got too many angles to cover here. We need something better here than just ‘charge the gates’. Anyone have smoke grenades?” Elias shook his head, ducking briefly before popping back out to fire a stream of bolts at the Devaronian in charge. He didn't have any on him this time, but he did have-
"I don't have smoke, but I do have a couple of Cryoban grenades and a few spare fuel tanks for my flamethrower. I can throw the Cryoban or the flame canisters first, but only an explosion from the flame canisters...You know what, we'll go canisters first. If that doesn't work, we can go cryoban." He slid the canister out from it's position in an armored vial, he waited a moment between volleys before tossing it towards the Devaronian. After a count of three, the smuggler popped out with only a single pistol drawn, aimed, and fired. It impacted the canister and detonated, throwing a wall of flame over the apparent leader and anyone near him. While it wasn't enough to catch or even roast them, it was blinding and hotter than hell. Elias took the chance to rush for the cargo again but glanced towards the E-Web's former position and could only grin. "Sirka, about ten feet behind where the E-Web was formerly at, I think you'll find your new toy."
