"Of course. I was trained in a variety of activities from swimming and skiing to cooking and evidence removal. I like keeping things clean. You never know when a stray piece of evidence will make a case - or get you killed."

An Interview with Lucas Schwarz

Question 1
What is your favorite food?

"Aaah... starting off with a hard one. I like a lot of stuff, and "anything my mom has me help her with making" is a cop-out answer... If I had to pick something from home, I'd probably go with Mochi. It's a great dessert."

What is your favorite color?

"I've always been fond of green. A Forest-y kind, like Gratia's Jacket or Lauren's eyes. It reminds me a little of the forests back home."

Do you have anything you enjoy watching the most on TV?

"Dragonball. Dragonball, Combat Sports of any form, and Vytal reruns. They're the only things April and I can watch without fighting over the remote."

"I'm not revealing my power level that easy."

"My sisters."

"It's already a stretch to say fighting's one... Well, my only saving grace, academically, used to be Math, but at this point... diligence? This is me making a serious go at things, as hard as it may be for people to believe. The work's gotta be put in, and I'm not backing down."

"Interestingly enough, I would say Gratia. At times it feels like I'm roped into more nonsense with her than my own team."

"Bianca. I'm typically no good at reading people, but even I can tell she isn't letting me in on everything that's bothering her. I want to help."

They could all do much better than a guy like me. And, for what it's worth, I've never been in love before anyway, and I don't believe that's changed.

"... There are things that I don't believe to be my place to speak about freely. My story, despite my efforts and beliefs as a youngster, doesn't just pertain to me. That needs respecting, especially from myself."

Anything salty or sweet, preferably both at the same time. Chocolate malts are my favorite even though I'm kinda allergic and not supposed to have them.

Black! It goes with almost anything, and, well, let's just say I have some positive associations with it.

Do you have anything you enjoy watching the most on TV?

Lingerie shows. I know it sounds strange, but the designs are always so inspiring...I watch a lot of weird animation too, but it's not really my thing. I mostly sit through it because it distracts Datura enough to let me cuddle her without fear of immediate and painful retaliation.

What scares you easily?

You mean in my day-to-day life? Hmm. I guess it'd have to be the idea that I'll fall behind everyone because of my "disabilities". They're not that severe, but the frustration tends to build up over time.

I spend much of my free time sewing, but anyone could probably have told you that. Lesser-known hobbies of mine include swimming, which I discovered as a part of physical therapy, and piercings. That one was picked up from Soot. Don't tell him I know about his corset hoops.

Who do you consider closest with you as of now?

I haven't really had a chance to socialize with my team for very long yet, if that's what you wanted to know. There are many specific points in my life where I could have answered easily, but things are uncertain for now.

Who would you like to get closer to in your team?

If I had to choose just one, probably Yue. Krys is probably going to end up very popular with her personality, and I can see Skyra having a few very close "blood-sisters" eventually. I'm a little worried about Yue, though. She feels...closed. It's hard to explain.

Let's see...a minor one, just to satisfy your curiosity of course: my "parents'" money is actually mine. Well, most of it anyway. It's from land sales in Vacuo made by a business that I inherited. The reason it was a secret was because that side of the family tried to have me disowned.

What is your favorite food?

"Steak, medium rare. Needs to have some give to it."

"Black. Yes, I know, so dreary. I prefer something with a little sheen to it, though, like Onyx or Obsidian."

Do you have anything you enjoy watching the most on TV?

"I don't really 'do' TV."

"I only ever watch the news, and even then I prefer to get it through my Scroll or a paper."

What scares you easily?

"Death. But not my own. No, I'm afraid of having to keep watching everybody around me be maimed or killed while I come out of it fit enough to fight within a week or two. I'm afraid that my life will just be reduced to watching everybody around me die while I stubbornly cling onto life."

"I'm decent on a forge, and I could probably survive a few weeks given just a weapon, as long as I'm not in some shithole desert."

"I'll assume you mean at Beacon. That would have to be Diamond. Despite her personality, I know I can trust her. Everybody else, save maybe Emerald and....Cobalt...I doubt I could trust them."

"I would have to say Emerald, I suppose. I doubt Cobalt's coming back, and Diamond and I are about as close as can be expected after a few weeks."

"That would have to be Sapphire Rode. For no reason other than some deluded sympathy or something, she's decided to try to befriend me. It's different than the cool distance or pity I'm used to."

"I'm not sure, really. Sapphire's piqued my interest, but I'm not entirely sure if it's purely academic or...deeper than that."

"I basically just told one of my teammates my life story just recently, but...I don't think I could bring myself to open myself to someone like Sapphire or Shiro like that. They're good people, I'm sure, but that level of vulnerability is...unsettling."

"Cerise. She's like a sister to me. She is a sister to me. It's only been maybe a month and a half and it's like I've had a chunk of my soul ripped out of me. The chunk that makes me want to care. That makes it easy to get up and deal with this shit every day."

"She's been with me for as long as I could remember, and now she can't come along because I couldn't protect her. Unless you want to give a new central nervous system to a teenage girl who hasn't used her legs in the past two years, that is."
