I would love it if Lex Luthor ran for president and the way that the heroes got around this was by running for president themselves. You could put Bruce Wayne or Ultimate Hush in the oval office, or an actual President Superman.

All under 35 in this world. And one's an alien. Seems legit.

Eh, no thanks. Any decent detective-type superhero would tell the not-Justice League that such a plan is stupid.

Because the other two Insect Queen candidates (Lana Lang and Mary Jane Watson) are supporting characters to major DC and Marvel characters (Superman and Spider-Man, respectively).

My question is why double up? Just say that the Ultimate bio-doohicky ring grants all her powers and drop the Pym Particles (for Jan, anyway ). I dunno, just feels redundant to me.

That would take a lot more work than you think.

I just recorded myself reading the first few paragraphs of my opening Fantastic Four post. It took quite a while. Nothing will teach you that your posts are too long-winded like being made to read something you've written out loud.

Sometimes it's the best way to proofread in my experience.

This.

Always, always read your work aloud prior to submitting. Both to catch grammatical errors that your mind would glaze over simply reading silently, and to learn if there are any awkward pauses or long-winded moments that can be adjusted. This is the number one rule of editing and proofreading that surprisingly few people ever do. It solves many issues that plague pieces of writing and is well worth the minimal amount of effort it takes. I can't even begin to count the number of times I've started the proofreading process and immediately caught numerable problems that should have easily been noticed by the author.

Always thoroughly read through your writing at least twice, with at least one time being out loud. It works wonders and immediately makes you look more capable/professional.

I usually end up proofreading immediately after posting, then re-reading it and going "....shit!" and having to edit it like five times in a row. Reading it out loud before actually posting is probably a better method.

I throw it onto Google Docs, and then I ask @Morden Man if it's okay or if it sucks (just for story not for anything else), and he just proofreads it anyway for free.

No effort required ;)

There was no legal document stating I could not use this method.

If you try and stop me you'll be hearing from my lawyer.

Instead of getting lawyers involved, I could just fuck you up.
