Megan sighed quietly from her seat in the stands. At least she hadn't been the worst duelist out there. Sure she'd gotten thrashed but at least she had damaged her opponent and she hadn't surrendered. She'd looked through her deck in irritation at all the cards that could've helped. Lightning Vortex. Swords of Concealing Light. Gearfried. D.D warrior lady. Lightning Blade. Just one card in any of those circumstances and she could've gained the upper hand. Oh well even if she had do so there was no guarantee she'd be able to keep it. Megan set her deck back in her disk and flipped through the rulebook she'd snagged. Last duel she'd had no idea what pendulum monster's did. Or any other type of extra deck monster other than XYZ. She'd have to study up if she wanted to stand a chance here.

Both duels of Round 3 came to a close, and the people who fought each other seemed to take it pretty well. The audience cheered after Leander and Zacharie after their respective wins. "THE WINNERS ARE CLEAR!" Melchior suddenly shouted over all the loud ruckus, though the crowd didn't quite stop immediately. "We may have seen the birth of some great entertainment duelists today! Over in Arena one we have seen Leander Xenovia and Hayato Ray putting on a show. Hayato had started off slow, trying to lure out his opponent, but Leander didn't fall for the bait! Once his face-down monster was revealed it became non-stop action! Both sides were summoning monsters one after the other, and in the end, Leander decided to finish it off with the first ever Synchro Summon of the year! The final blow was dealt by his Parshath, and with the 6600 lifepoints remaining it was made clear Hayato had gotten beaten! Congratulations, Leander!"

"But that is not all!" Melchior continued, obviously having been pumped up. "In Arena two we saw the humorous display of Spellbooks and Chaos Emissaries, though Vincent could not keep up. Zacharie summoned one thing after another and with the amount of spells they played, was able to draw into the right card they needed! Vincent had tried a comical move with Book of Moon, but alas. You can not beat a library by adding another book to it's roster. Vincent put up a good fight, but Zacharie pulled through for the win! Congratulations, Zacharie!"

Once more, in the middle of the room, a screen slashed up displaying all the names of those who have not yet dueled. First up was someone named Ben, shooting its way through the crowd of names. After about a minute, it connected with Angelo. "IT IS HERE! We have out duelists for the first duel of the fourth round! We have seen Ben's brother, Andre duel earlier on stage, where Andre made a bold declaration that his brother will perform better than he did! This could easily be the greatest match yet! Angelo, show us that you can beat this unstoppable duo!"

And once more, two names connected. This time, there was a name in between brackets that got chosen first. "Mary", it read. The line jutted out of the nickname and connected pretty much straight away with another one, one who was listed right below. Richard. Suddenly the screen shifted again to show the two groups' faces and full names, now revealing that "Mary" is actually called Marisyaliwamivylira. The shortening was probably for convenience. Her last name was Ael again, showing a third member of that family being in the school. "HERE WE GO! We now know both duelists for the second duel, MARY AEL and RICHARD TRIG!" The Ael clan has shown to do nothing but win today, with both Venwyn and Akemi having taken victories over there respective opponents! Will Mary show the same level of skill, or will Richard trounce the Ael's winning streak in this duel?! It's time to find out! DUELISTS, IT'S TIME TO DUEL! Make your way over to the arena and show the academy what you're made of!

After the duels ended he started to look for his sister who once again ran off somewhere else for whatever reason but while looking for his sister he found that boy he saw his sister drag around the place "Yo! I saw that duel of yours. Losing ain't exactly a gre-" Hayato said before someone crashed into him "Sorry! Sorry!" a familiar voice was heard after hearing that voice you could hear Hayato sigh and simply ignored it "Sorry about my sister dragging you around like that, she tends to drag me around when looking for people or stuff and she always runs past that same thing she is looking for around 5 times"

"not my fault, you are just hard to find" Hayate said to her brother and looked at the person he was looking for whom he almost ran past for the 2nd time "ah there you are! i was looking for you ever since my duel ended, i was hoping you'd watch my brothers duel with me Hayate said to the young man who without a doubt would be pressured by the twins talking to him at the same time as they are with each other

"it kinda is, whenever you start running you just don't stop." Hayato said as he remembered that he forgot to bring his former opponent with him after he told him to wait somewhere and yet again figured he will find him, he's not that hard to find anyways "do you have a name? knowing my sister she probably didn't ask you yet." He chuckled at the idea of her asking people's names "i was going to! after the duel that is" Hayate retaliated even though it was merely a joke from her brother "I just had a hard time finding him Hayato chuckled at Hayate's reaction "well isn't that perfect then, because i just asked for you" Hayato turned to the boy once again without a doubt it would be awkward to listen to what they were doing for him and simply scratched his head trying to think of something to say before Hayate broke the awkward silence that came after the bickering
"So what dorm do you think we'll end up in? Hayato asked curious for her new friend's thoughts in which Hayato just simply stayed quiet to prevent further confusion

Ben heard his name over the announcements and smiled wondering what challenge awaited him in the 4th Round he had missed the duel prior to go and find Ben but he was sure both teams gave it their all. Ben looked up at the ceiling and breathed in heavily and slowly, "Go hard, go strong, or go home. That's what big brother used to say. Well I'm going to go hard but if my opponent doesn't end up being so solid...well I guess that's just how things are going to be. I'll give'em some breathing room but if he or she goes all out at the start then I guess that's just how it is. Come on my liege...let's win us a duel!" Ben said as he grinned from ear to ear and prepared himself mentally. He already had quite the opener planned for the people already out there. He wanted to give them the time of their lives. He just hoped they didn't think of him as some sort of bumpkin or loony. He hoped they just sat back, chilled out, and waited for the show to start! Ben made sure his jacket was loose and he tuned his voice out like some actors did before the scene started. What fun it would be if Ben went out and immediately started to fail at the thing he was doing by being unable to speak aloud.

Angelo grinned finally hearing his name get called up and he jumped up finally my turn! Angelo said happily. Angelo then got off the bleachers and went towards the arena. He felt like this was going to be exciting he saw a few of the duels before and if his brother was indication to his strength this would be a great duel. Angelo gave a wave to Ethel before he walked up the arena and soon took his spot at the otherside. Angelo was getting pumped and he could hardly contain himself he stood in a real dueling arena in a real place meant only for dueling. Just being here was a dream come true for him but even better was that he was going to have his first offical duel to set up his placement in class. Angelo was not going to go easy on him even if he wants to be the guys friend. His deck will make sure that they never see what hit them...

As the arena wondered where the other contestant had gotten too Ben suddenly arrived in the arena and with a big smile still on his face he walked up onto the stage and put his hand in the air and whistled loudly. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF THIS FINE DUEL ACADEMY!" Ben shouted at the top of his lungs as he grabbed at his jacket and pulled it off he flung it into the air and put on a pair of sunglasses from his pants pocket. The jacket landed behind him as he put his other hand in the air, "TODAY IS THE DAY WE ALL JOURNEY INTO SOMETHING NEW! SOMETHING WONDERFUL AND SOMETHING AMAZING! AND I WANT TO SHOW YOU ALL THAT ANYONE OF YOU COULD BE THE NEXT KING OF GAMES IF YOU'RE WILLING TO WORK HARD FOR IT! MY NAME IS BEN CARSON! A DUEL IS MORE THAN JUST A CONTEST BETWEEN TWO WORTHY ADVERSARIES BUT IT IS ALSO A WAY TO MAKE FRIENDS, FANS, AND BUDDIES OF ALL KINDS! TODAY MY LIEGE AND I WILL DO ALL WE CAN FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT AS WE TAKE THE STAGE AGAINST MY OPPONENT ANGELO! I WANT YOU ALL TO CHEER US ON AND WATCH WITH EXCITEMENT AS WE BRING THE HOUSE DOWN AROUND US! LET'S MAKE THIS A YEAR WORTH REMEMBERING! IT'S TIME TO MAN UP! PUT UP! AND DUEL! BUT BEFORE THAT I'D LIKE TO OFFER MY OPPONENT THE BEST OF LUCK AND A PRE-GAME HANDSHAKE! SO ANGELO YOU UP FOR THIS BIG GUY!?" Ben shouted with a grin as he pulled one of left hand down and offered it to Angelo from across the arena and he did so without a hint of malice, snark, or otherwise unpleasentness.

Angelo grinned as he waited for his opponenet and soon when he showed up he went into a huge speech about duel academy and how if they work hard they could be the next king of games. Honestly Angelo was awestruck at how he was able to put so much enthusiasm and cheer into his speech and that just made Angelos blood pump even more. Now that was what he called showmanship! He listened intently until he asked for a pre-duel handshake and honestly Angelo thought he was a good guy and he could see himself being friends with someone like him. Angelo clapped for him as he finished his speech soon going over and giving him a handshake "I gotta say that speech was inspired! i wish you the best of luck and hope afterwards no matter who wins that we can be friends afterward. I wont go easy on you though." Angelo said with a smile and once he finished shaking his hand he patted his shoulder then went back to his side of the arena and did his his own battle cry LETS SEE IF YOU CAN TAKE DOWN MY DRAGONS! Angelo said grining waiting for the duel to start.

Ben chuckled as he nodded to Angelo and put up his duel disk as the duel was being prepared Ben was expecting a hard fight. Dragon duelists were hard to fight but what was a knight better at than slaying the flying beasts of legend? Ben eagerly awaited the call for the duel and it was decided by the judges that Angelo would be going first, "ALRIGHT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN CHEER US ON! TIME TO GET OUR GAME ON!" Ben said as he let Angelo make the first move.

Shinrei managed to finally escape the girls who pestered him about getting his autograph. If there was one thing he wanted to erase from everyone's mind is the fact that he is a well-known World Circuit Duelist who made the semifinals but never finished. Thinking about the duel before he made semifinals bothered him because it was the very reason he withdrew from the World Circuit Tournament which angered his father. Personally, he didn't really care what kind of grudges his father held against him as he stepped out of his limousine which pulled up to the Duel Tower. His father's influence meant absolutely nothing toward what he wanted to accomplish and finally he was out of the strangle hold that his father had over him. It was due to his sister that he was even attending this place in the first place. He didn't know what kind of dangers lurked there though he had a feeling something was going to transpire within time.

When he was bathed by the light as he stepped out of his limousine with his sister right beside him he noticed the girls went absolutely nuts. He frowned at them but showed a charismatic gesture as he waved toward them despite the cold embrace within his eyes. Such a cold expression immediately enveloped his face since all he wanted to do was be left alone and be able to go to his dorm without his fan club following him around. It didn't help his case when the guys were passing catcalls at his sister which made him gaze at them with a very frozen look which was wicked to the touch. "This is why I hate crowds..." He softly said in a very cold demeanor as he tried to get himself and his sister through the crowd that was in front of him.

"Wow, you're really famous, Shinrei. I guess that's to expect of someone of your caliber." His sister expressed toward him as she followed up the steps toward the Duel Tower entrance. She noticed he had stopped in place examining his surroundings as he peered off into the openness toward the front of the Duel Tower facing away from the building. His sister joined him in his sight seeing as smiled and looked on with him wondering what he was looking or thinking about. "Do you want to go watch the duels?" She questioned as she turned her attention toward him making herself face him face to face.

Shinrei shook his head with a icy cold gaze and frown as he answered, "No, I do not want to waste my time with pointless endeavors. I did not come here to make friends with people. My main priority is to find out why they are so interested in the both of us. That is all." He finished as he turned away from his sight seeing adventure and started his way up the steps. His sister called out to him to wait for her as he was getting closer toward the entrance at the top of the stairs.

"Not only that, but you are here to protect me as well." Tsukiko reminded Shinrei as she followed him up the steps finally managing to catch with him. It didn't take her long to reach where he was as he wasn't traveling at a very fast pace and seemed to be mulling over some thoughts as he approached the pinnacle of the stairs. Tsukiko turned her eyes toward Shinrei as they were almost at the summit. I wonder what he is thinking? He looks so deep in thought when his eyes are so embraced with that ferocious sincerity in them. Oh brother, why do you have to be so stubborn about everything when it comes to yourself? It wouldn't hurt to open up to people, y'know. She thought to herself as they had finally managed to reach the top flight of the stairs. In front of them were the doors, but her brother walked over toward the side and leaned back against the railing looking like he was still thinking about something. She knew some things just never changed about him and accepted that he always wanted to remain such a mysterious figure toward everyone who laid eyes upon him.

"Come on, let's go watch the duels!" Tsukiko said joyfully as she grabbed her brother's hand which didn't seem to be too pleased with being dragged away from his thinking. He would allow it since it was his sister, but he didn't really care how the duels were progressing as they had nothing to do with him or his sister. Though he thought to himself that perhaps he might want to watch to make sure his sister didn't carelessly try to throw herself in front of one of them and get hurt like she did last time. He wouldn't ever be able to forgive himself if that tragedy happened again.

"Isn't it exciting?" Tsukiko questioned trying to liven her brother's spirits as she dragged the silver haired figure into the dueling arena and had him take a seat with her, but it looked like all the duels had met their final climax. She showed a disappointed look on her face since she didn't get to stick around and learn anything from the duels that had taken place. Since she had already been accepted she did not need to take part in the Placement Duels like the other students though she didn't quite know why unless the academy did it to draw her brother's interest which is the only logical explanation she could come up with at the time.

"There is nothing to see here since they are over. Besides, I wouldn't be able to learn anything new from what I already know anyway. Such a gallant waste of my time. I am leaving now. I will go acquire my deck and see you off toward your quarters." He said coldy as he got up and made his way toward the exit as he had enough of his time being wasted on such trivialities at that. He signaled toward Tsukiko to follow where she sighed getting up from her seat and joining him as they made their way toward the exit. He was hoping he could get toward the exit without anyone recognizing or trying to get in the way of where he was about to go. The last thing he wanted was another nuisance like he encountered outside his house on the day he left and when he arrived at the Duel Tower. He wasn't the kind who took pride in having fan clubs idolize him since all he wanted to do was be left alone.

Akira watched the duels and grined. Each duel had its stronger players but everyone was trying their hardest. The audiance made it all better each cheering and smiling about it all. Akira had tried to learn each players skills and weaknesses but wound up getting caught up in each of the duels instead

Haas was a little... Overwhelmed by Hayate. She appeared out of pretty much nowhere, then started to rattle his head with all sorts of past plans and the introduction of her... Brother. Oh yeah, him... Didn't he duel earlier? Haas couldn't quite remember how that duel went, but it wouldn't be bad to assume the best... The boy amongst the two asked for Haas' name, him throwing both hands behind his head and proceeding to use them as a cushion against the wall. "Wasn't it on the screen earlier? I'm Haas, Haas Mesman." The kid seemed to be in a considerably worse mood than before, but unlike what anyone might assume, it was just the energy reserves running out. Haas threw his left hand in front of his mouth to catch a yawn, focusing his attention back to the two arenas. Seems like the brother of his opponent from earlier just finished a duel, and the crowd was going wild. "Me? Probably Earth. I'm not great. Don't know about you guys." the boy threw out without much care.

Tsukiko reluctantly followed her brother toward the exit of the arena only to have her grab her brother's hand and tug on him to wait. He turned around and with a very cold look embolden on his face. "Shinrei wait!" She exclaimed as she wasn't ready to head toward the dorms yet. She wanted to explore the area for awhile and wanted her brother to tag along with her. She was tired of her brother deciding what she needed to that she was not going to let him see her off to her dorm until they actually spent some time together. She was still a bit irate from earlier where she tried to lift her brother's spirits only to have him blow her like he did earlier. The fact he just treated her like anyone else who he didn't want anything to do with made her a bit upset. When Shinrei asked her what she wanted with such a very cold-hearted tone she took her hand and slapped him very hard across the face. She had enough of him treating her like he did.

Shinrei looked away and down toward the ground as his face throbbed from the slap. He looked upward as he brushed his hand across his face to feel the red mark she left noticing that she was really upset. He had finally realized that he was becoming just as bad as his father. "I'm sorry..." Were the only words he could manage to muster up as she continued to look at him with a fierce look on her face which was full of anger. Tsukiko closed her eyes and told him that she had forgiven him. She wanted to open her brother's closed heart and try to get him to come out of that shell he was hiding in, but she knew that would take time. Sure she also was cautious about new people, but she didn't shut herself from the complete world like he did.

The silver haired maiden decided to find some people that she could talk with. She knew her brother probably wouldn't like the fact she was dragging him over there, but he needed to make up for his poor behavior toward her earlier. She wasn't about to let him off the hook after he said right before they arrived at the Duel Tower while still in transit that he was nothing like their father. The way he acted just a moment was clear indication that the roots of his father were slowly growing on him and that she would have to keep in line. Besides, she could take care of herself and she didn't always need her brother deciding everything for her. She wasn't a child after all that is certainly how she felt a moment ago when he tried to drag her off toward her dorm without trying to enjoy themselves while they had the chance.

"Over there!" She said as she continued to drag her brother along for the ride. Didn't seem her brother was particularly happy about being dragged around. The long sigh and large frown on his face was indication that he was not enjoying himself at all. He couldn't really complain though since he did come to realization that he was acting poorly toward her earlier.

She dragged him along over toward three people which were two boys and girl which was Haas' group. One boy had brunette hair, a second with a long black ponytail and the girl look like she was the black haired boy's sister. This was a perfect chance for her to make conversation with people and hopefully try to get her brother to be nice. The silver hair girl approached the brunette haired boy who seemed to be in a mad mood and complimented him on his duel before she introduced herself. This was a chance for her also to make her brother pay for what he did to her earlier. Since she had studied martial arts she knew that Shinrei would do as she said when she had something she could hold against him. "Now, now... I think you did just fine. Isn't that right, Shinrei?" She turned her eyes toward Shinrei and gave him a fierce scary look though he didn't seem to want to answer though a simple, "Yeah, what ever." Came out of his mouth which caused his sister to frown upon him. Though it was certainly a better choice of words than his 'what does him losing have to do with me' kind of response that he would probably get if he tried to ask him about he dueled before she turned back to face the boy.

"My name is Tsukiko Ikushirou. I am also a first year and have been assigned to the Earth Dorm. Due to my brother's status our dorms are already assigned to us. Looking forward to getting along with you. You're probably familiar with mean and nasty here." She paused for a moment pointing at her cold mannered brother then noticed that Shinrei didn't particularly like the insult she just fired at him. He remained quiet and didn't openly oppose but his eyes showed a sign that he didn't take it very well. "Could I ask what your name is? I noticed you lost, but I do not think you did too badly. Then again, I am just starting dueling myself so I hope we can learn much from each other."

Well, the duel was over and Zacharie had won in a rather one-sided round. Although he had expected for Vincent to plow him through, Chaos archtypes usually took time, which played well into his match-up. Neither player wanted to be the first to attack, which gave Zacharie all the time he needed with an explosive card draw. It could have gone quite a few ways, certainly with the searching abilities of the spellbooks, sort of a grand system to find and search everything for the right occasion, something which a few decks lacked in power. Yet this too was their weakness, too reliant on finding the books, one break in the chain would simply have stopped it. Frankly, in retrospect, if he had not used book of moon on priestess and instead used it to flip the library facedown, his draw engine would have stopped him early on from drawing the Spellbook of Fate. Yes, it was that first draw from the royal magical library, Spellbook of Fate, which served as an omen of who would win this duel. If you believed in that sort of stuff anyways. Without Fate, Zacharie would have easily lost priestess and the duel, forcing him to take the defensive against a chaos sorcerer. Maybe Vincent gave him this victory? Either way, he felt uneasy about it, especially given their fast friendship.

"Many siblings 'ere, No?" The French boy looked up from his book at the rather loud introduction of Ben Carson, brother of the younger Andre. He had sat back down after the duel, "'e's quite the opposite of le frérot: social, amical, et... bel homme. 'e must be popular with ze girls, Beauté est acheté par le jugement de l'œil... A rather strange observation, meaning whatever it would mean to Vincent, the French mattering more here than the English. As often his inner thoughts are better done in French than English. Although no one spoke a lick of French here, but since Vincent has been able to seemingly keep up so far, Zacharie assumed he was understood quite well. This may be a deception he set upon himself however, and he would need to work on communicating in English.

"Comme c'est terrible," Zacharie had actually stopped reading, and observed the duel without reading a line between the turns, "'e's not doing so well. The boy had a clear favourite in this matchup, where he was rather neutral in earlier games, this one certainly took his attention much more. Perhaps it was because who was dueling, or was it something else? There certainly seemed to be a part of the Frenchman which cheered for Ben to win this round, perhaps it was the duelist's magnetic personality, which had charged up the arena and Zacharie was simply caught along with it. Either way the intensity certainly got to him who usually hid behind a book to separate himself.

"Toutes sortes d'hommes dosé à tirer l'épée qui doser. Mais aucun ne peut l'emporter, mais Arthur He smiled, happy that Ben had won the match in such a glorious way. Actually getting his opponent to zero after being the underdog here. A spectacular show of showmanship and strength. The story of the Knights, and their leader King Arthur, which was thoroughly enjoyed by Zacharie alongside Ben's performance, even if he did want the same structure deck earlier but he reasoned Ben would play it better. "à arracher la victoire de la défaite, is 'e not a hero de fantaisie?."

Andre waited for his brother to get out of the bathroom, somewhat surprised the announcer hadn't come on before he had finished, and when Ben emerged he was still smiling, apparently he was still pumped from his showing, and his face was covered in water as well. "Man I don't care if it's bathroom sink water but it feels good to wipe away the stress. It's hard being the rockstar who goes out and puts on a show. I don't know how Big Bro does it in the pro leagues." Ben said tired as Andre spit into a nearby bin. "He does it by not being a fancy show off and or loud talker every single time he enters the stage. Besides his friend does all the loud smack talking for both of them. I just wonder if he'll compete in the pro-league tag championship this year." Andre said as Ben shrugged and walked past Andre back towards the bleachers, "Who knows I'd be happy if we got a chance to see him on T.V between his real job and his pro-career I don't know when we'll actually see him again. All the same he can take care of himself." Ben said to Andre as the two made their seperate ways back to their own arena, "You know I'm gunning for you right? I still want a chance for my King to wipe out your demons." Ben said suddenly as Andre turned to leave towards his arena, "You have a king but I have an Emperor. Last time I checked Emperor was higher on the food chain. We'll see what's in store when we actually get placed up in our dorms. Hell after that you'll probably be drowning in fans and admirers." Andre said to Ben as Ben rubbed his head and laughed, "As if. I'm probably going to the local nut job and I'm sure the girls dig the creepy loner more now of days." Ben said as he departed not letting Andre get in another word as the younger brother lamented his family's life choices and he hung his head in his hand.

Haas started to doze off a little. Neither Hayate nor Hayato was really saying anything, and the duel over in Arena Two was progressing so slowly... And it was soooo boring... The boy's eyelids were slowly just falling down in front of his eyes, still leaning against the wall when he did. Then from a little ways away he heard someone shout 'Over there!' Haas opened his eyes again, only to see a silver-haired girl running on over whilst dragging another silver-haired person around, only a boy. That one didn't seem to be too happy to be here. "...Since when does losing make you popular?" the boy mumbled to himself, taken a little by surprise at yet another person wanting to talk to them. The girl said Haas had done just fine on his duel, though her friend seemed to agree less so. Well, a loss was a loss isn't it? The outcome's not changing, even if he did well or not.

The girl started off introducing herself, and her brother apparently. Haas was supposed to know him apparently? Like, did he do something important in his life or what? And she got to skip out on placement duels, yet gets placed in Earth anyway. Ouch. That has to sting. "Um... Yeah, hi. I'm Haas. Can't say I actually know who your brother is, though... Is that a bad thing?" Haas questioned, genuinely confused on who this person was supposed to be. "Ah... Thanks for the complement, but I really didn't do all that great. I'd probably pick up more tricks from you than you from me." Haas covered his second yawn again, eyes flickering between open and closed. "Sorry... I'm a little tired."

After Haas introduced himself, Shinrei looked away without a care in the world while his sister smiled toward him and held at her hand to shake his hand. Unlike her brother, she knew how to properly socialize with people which is something her brother certainly needed to brush up on. "Pleasure to meet you, Haas. I doubt there is much I can teach since I am just a beginner. You would learn more from my brother than anything. He is a professional duelist though he doesn't like to show it." She said she tugged at her brother's hand and pulled him forward to try to get him to introduce himself. He just gave her a cold stare and a look of displeasure as he hated socializing with people especially ones that were complete failures.

"Go ahead, introduce yourself, Shinrei." she said as she turned toward him a a very icy cold gaze in her eyes. It was almost like the gaze from a Medusa which gave Shinrei a little bit of a chill in his body. That look in her eye was never a look he liked to see or took lightly. Though he only stood there and looked at Haas where she moved her foot over and stepped on his foot really hard and put more ferocity into her voice as she repeated what she said a moment, "I said introduce yourself, Shinrei! Do not make me repeat myself!"

Shinrei immediately cringed when she stepped on his foot and used her heel to dig into his toes. It really hurt where an immediate 'ouch' came out of his mouth. He then turned and look at her with frustration, "That hurt Tsukiko! Did you have to step on my foot like that? Dammit, that hurt..."

"The name is Shinrei Ikushirou. Forget what she said. I do not really care about my past as I have put it behind..." Again he was intterupted when Tsukiko took her foot once again and stomped on his foot which again sent a painful sensation through his body and he yelled 'ouch' once again.

"Forgive my brother's rudeness. He's a bit of an isolationist. What he meant to say that he is the former World Circuit Duelist Shinrei Ikushirou who made to the finals, but withdrew due to an accident he encountered during one of his duels." Tsukiko remarked as she hummed with a smile as she saw her brother was still trying to recover from the torment she put his poor foot through. She turned her eyes away from him and looked at Haas again before turning an eye toward him for a moment, "If you had been nice in the first place I wouldn't have had to force the issue. Now you're pouting. Sometimes I wonder what I'm going to do with you, Shinrei."

Shinrei could only look on and try to hold back his words as the pain in his foot was quite unbearable. Those boots she wore with those heals were like spikes that skewered into the skin. Quite unpleasant and he was just reminded once again why he always hated to get on her bad side again which he successfully did again realizing he was being a complete jerk earlier and like usual she made him pay for it. "I do not know why you are complimenting him. I mean, how can you lose with such a sizable advantage of having more cards than your opponent? That is the epitome of an amateur." He paused for a moment as he turned his eyes toward the other duel that had concluded. He noticed one person who was trying to pump on the crowd with his showboating antics which bemused Shinrei then the other person who look like they were full of themselves. "Then again, all the duels I saw were nothing more than a circus act. Worse enough, we have a bunch of clowns like them. How can I be impressed with such childish antics and a bunch of mule's bray and fool's talk." He said as he pointed toward the crowd pleaser and the other person who acted like they were better than everyone else.

"Do you always have to be so negative, Shinrei? Can't you at least say something nice or do you always have to be mean and nasty toward everything you see which does not impress you at all?" Tsukiko question as she gave off a long sigh then turned toward Haas and politely apologized for her brother's terrible choice of words. She didn't quite understand why Shinrei always had to look at the negative side of everything and criticize it until someone was red in the face steamed with anger. It is just a rude thing to do and he certainly would have to brush up on proper manners when he was in the face of public. "I'm really sorry for how rude my brother is, Haas. Disregard his comments. He didn't actually mean what he said. That amateur remark he made toward you was uncalled for and I am so ashamed he would say that to you. Again I apologize on his behalf since he lacks any sense of dignity."

Hayate stared at the 2 talking in front of her being ignored after not getting a chance to haas's question Hey! it's rude to interrupt people! Hayate pushed Hayato forward whispering to him "Go talk to the tall serious person you both are super serious!" Hayato sighed at the idea of Hayate's suggestion and looked at the pair Hayato particularly was interested in the silver haired male who looked familiar to him but he couldn't put his finger on it "Hold up... you seem familiar, i don't particularly care about your name or who you are but you don't seem too pleased of being here, tell me... Why the heck are you here? Hayato spoke his last words rather aggressively towards the silver haired character called Shinrei "In any case Haas maybe we'll end up in the same dorm, and young lady would't it be more polite to also talk to the people next to the person your talking to?" Hayato went back to his serious but friendly tone

Hayate looked at the 2 and snapped her fingers out of nowhere "could it be... are you two twins as well?" Hayate sounded excited for no reason other than figuring things out "if you two are, could it be that there is a old story where a brother and sister is separated and the sister become lonely and as time went on the brother become more cold and harsh to the point of hating his own history and... Hayate rambled on about some random things that could happen to twins in general but Hayato still stood there staring at the 2 silver haired before before him "in any case welcome to the academy you two, hope we'll get along" Hayato said scratching his head staring at her sister still spouting out some random stories she had read in some books and chuckled "don't worry she is always like that, we don't tend to be in the same place a lot so she gets excited when there are two pairs of twins at the same locations, are you two twins or is it just me and my sister noticing the wrong things? Hayato asked also a little curious about the 2 of them looking similar to each other

Vincent had gotten back to his seating just as the announcer had begun announcing the next Match. But Vincent was in lamentation of what had just surpassed between him and Zacharie. Did Vincent give it his all that game. Not really but that is not to say he didn't give it 'some' effort. Maybe the reason he lost was because he did it on purpose. Vincent didn't believe in accidents. His lack of foresight cost him that game. At least Vincent thought it did. However Vincent was enjoying his time here at the Duel tower so far.

Nobody really needed to know what he really felt about things. Keeping people happy was his main goal, so he would just stick with his half truths and white lies. Probably not the best way to make friends But Vincent didn't have the guts to keep truthful about things, people would stab you in the back at a moments notice unless you was good friends with them, if you did the slightest thing to make them look bad. You would be cast off like an anchor to be drowned.

Vincent turned to look at Zacharie for a moment. The French guy was better then he let on at this game. Vincent continued to glance at Zacharie every so often during the match between Ben and Angelo. Its not like Zacharie could actually be classed as a good friend considering how fast the friendship had been forged but given time Vincent hoped that maybe they could get to the point were one would sacrifice a arm or leg for the other... But what was Vincent saying. things like that only happen in anime or other works of fiction but Life is what you make of It and Vincent was going to do just that with whatever he could.

The Match between Ben and Angelo finally reached its climatic finish. It was a good match of course. You could truly feel the intensity in the room, As the Noble knights of old stormed forth. The tables had turned and the Knights claimed victory for the king, It was a grander match then what Vincent had been in. It deserved to be praised for what had transpired their. It was over thought so it was in the past and Vincent needed to focus on the present. which was guessing more of Zacharies French "I agree with that statement" Vincent said making a pre-emptive guess Zacharie had said something about Ben and something about judgement. How longer could Vincent keep guessing he didn't really know.

"Hey Zacharie" Vincent began his voice the same as it always was, upbeat and cheerful with a hint of something underneath. "Are we friends?" Vincent continued as he dropped a bomb of a question. Vincent paused to let that sink in as he continued. "I mean you won right and if you kept winning... you wouldn't want that streak tarnished by having people whom had lost a lot around you right." Vincent said with a lowered voice. as somewhere in the back of his mind. He always doubted everything. His mind remembering his time as the child that sat alone by himself. He didn't want to go through that again.

Well, that was the equivalent of dropping a piano down a mineshaft. Which also conveniently broke Ben's enchanting spell over Zacharie, as he looked Vincent in the eye in a off-set glance, his long neck turning his head on an ever-slight angle towards the thirty degrees. Enough to be meaningful and sincere, but not enough to be confrontational about it. A natural sort of casual, but truthful discourse set in the relaxed but engaged posture Zacharie took before speaking on the matter.

"but of course Vincent, Faites comme adversaires le font en droit, efforcez puissamment; But eat and drink as friends." The Frenchman replied taking one from the Bard's work, splitting the language down between the line. He did regard Vincent as his friend, honestly, just because the duel turned out the way it did meant nothing to him, he could have lost and still consider Vincent a friend. "I am not so petty to forget my friends, you can win a game, but to lose a friend? Alors vous perdez. Again with the French, the important stuff was always in the French, well maybe, the more expressive stuff.

And then it happened. Something Vincent may have dreaded due to its disuse here, or was too shocked to resolve properly. The French boy craned his neck over and kissed Vincent on the cheek, before repeating the action on the other with some shifting in position towards Vincent. Nothing at all intimate about it, save for perhaps the closure of both boys now before Zacharie retreated back a bit in his seat. It was a French thing, a symbol of friendship, which should quell Vincent's doubts that Zacharie was more than willing to perform this act to call him a friend in such a manner. Did onlookers see? Maybe. Zacharie paid no mind as this was socially acceptable in France, and he had never really met anyone close enough to be called a friend in his time spent here in this country so far so this was the first time he did this.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Tsukiko apologized as she turned her attention toward the boy who had addressed. She had not intended on ignoring anyone and got caught up in her own attempts to try to make her brother more human than he was.

Shinrei was about to walk away from the conversation as he had enough of what he was seeing only to give a quick gaze and notice someone approached him. For a moment he thought they wanted to talk to his sister, but when he noticed that they were looking directly at him he closed his eyes for a moment and went back into his usual cold looking demeanor. It was unexpected that someone would approach him directly that and even more strange is that this person was not a girl though a girl did accompany him. When the individual started to speak toward Shinrei he only paid attention to the relevancy of his words, "Hold up... you seem familiar."

Shinrei decided he had not choice but to answer this person. He didn't look entirely pleased that someone was coming over to ramble on about a bunch of nonsense. Particularly the fact they came to say something as nonsensical as 'they didn't care who he was' hitherto the fact they had the nerve to confront him personally. One of Shinrei's unusual 'hmms' came out of his mouth as he decided he would pay some mind toward this particular person. "And just who are you? Never mind, it's not important to know who you are. You say you don't care yet you have the audacity to come over and inconvenience me with your very presence. That is what is called contradicting what you say. Also, don't give me excuses that I am wrong because I don't care why you came over here."

Tsukiko was a bit taken back in shock seeing her brother talk more than he usually did. It was unnatural for her brother to actually talk to someone as formally as he did. There was a cold natural environment enveloped around his words, but he actually seemed to be showing someone actual attention which is not something he usually did toward people he didn't know. Shinrei, why are you paying this person more mind than you do everyone else? Does this person have something that particularly interests you?

"I saw your duel on the main screen. It was pathetic but you do have the cards to rise toward the top. Your deck has the strength to win, but you seem to lack on strategy. Just because you have strong cards doesn't make you a good duelist. It's how you use those cards that matters. Back on the circuit I dueled people with weak decks and toppled their stronger decks due to their misguided strategies and them getting full of themselves at the end. Overconfidence is a major weakness where it is easy to lose your focus. Why am I saying this? What you said earlier was a bit nostalgic, strange since I don't usually respond this way toward most people. Out of all the duelists I saw the highlights I would say you are the one that has the most potential, but it's up to you if you want to find that resolve within yourself." Shinrei concluded as he had finally exhausted his train of thought. Hayato unlike most of the duelists gave him a nostalgic feeling. He couldn't quite explain why he had such a strong response inside him toward Hayato. To think someone would actually get a response out of me? Could my own past be telling me something that I don't know? No, that's nonsense. My past isn't important. You move forward and never dwell on the past. Nothing good ever comes of it.

"Back to your reason why I am here. If you really want to know then come find me in the Light Dorm at your earliest convenience. I want to ask you something in private anyway. Make sure you come alone. I believe I might be able to trust you with the reason I am here." Shinrei said toward Hayato only to have Hayato's sister pretty much kill the mood with her rambling which caused Shinrei to groan.

Hayato's sister's remark about Shinrei and Tsukiko being twins derailed his last train of thought as he stopped thinking about parts of his past that he still wanted answers from. Shinrei didn't mind her words pulling him back into reality. There was nothing really that he could use form the past that would be beneficial toward him anyway. "Yes, we are twins. Identical twins in fact." Unfortunately for Hayate he shifted right back into his cold natured attitude where he didn't really even give her any eye contact when he said that. He then decided he had enough of rambling so he faced toward the exit of the door then waved off behind saying 'later' in Hayato's direction before approaching the exit.

"Y'know, my brother was actually nice to you for once? I've never seen him act like that before in front of anyone. He even complimented and those weren't insults. He was actually criticizing you which he doesn't do to people he doesn't like. I think he might have taking a liking to you which is rare considering how badly he treats other people. Most people he treats them like they don't even exist. But when you approached him I saw an old part of himself that I have not seen in a very long time. Who are you again by the way?" Tsukiko remarked but then was disappointed because Hayate had to go and kill his mood by asking an obvious stupid question. She knew full and well that her brother was bemused by questions like that though he seemed to use it as an excuse to remove himself from the conversation. Seemed he felt uneasy or didn't feel comfortable is all she could decipher from how he left. "Way to kill the mood, Hayate... Thanks a lot, I thought he was going back to him former self there for a moment."

Vincent's mind had been teetering on the brink of insanity in fear. for what seemed like a few moments when he had asked the question was brought back. To something that would at a glance would be stressful and would ruin his chances of living it down but it was a French custom. a light kiss on both cheeks signified someone as a friend. While that did put Vincent's doubt at rest. It was still way to far out of the blue for the culture he was in, but the French guy was a friend so he would let it slide. Might need to remind Zacharie not to do it again but otherwise it was a helpful greeting for reasserting Vincent's view of the situation.

"Okay so after that happened" Vincent said a little slow trying to find method in his words as his eyes seemed to be glanced off into space at what his mother would do to him. if she didn't know the situation. No matter its not like a camera was recording that little mishap of culture. "I am glad to be friends with you Zacharie. Just a word of advice though, some people may react adversely to that greeting, due to the difference of culture here to what you are used to." Vincent explained pausing to think whom else he could try and make friends with. The blue haired girl seemed like a likely candidate but also she was kinda pissed at him for no reason what so ever, everyone else seemed to be busy in their own little worlds so far. Vincent would have his work cut out for him but it would be worth it in the end.

"So Zacharie what courses did you end up taking" Vincent asked quizzically wondering if they picked similar things. He had ended up going for standard summoning/ Standard duelling. Call him plain but if you master those then the other methods would become easier in the long term. He would become a force to be reckoned with. He and this new archetype which was like fate would become stronger then any other person in the school, Vincent knew this was a impossible dream but a goal was a goal and he would hopefully get there... hopefully. Vincent stared off into space again his head cocked at a 20 degree angle as if he was contemplating reality. His mind adrift with ablaze new possibility's of what to do with his deck.
