Current Euh. It's been a hot minute. Things are rather different for me now, and I don't know how that translates to my presence here.

I don't *think* I'm a bad person. I might be wrong there. I try not to be, even when I screw it up for want of social awareness.

Hello, I am me from the internet. I migrated here from Kongregate's Forum Games Forum, so feel free to look for me there if you wish to follow a career in internet stalking people. (ಠ_ಠ) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Infamous Quotes From People Who Exist

“I really don’t follow how your faith believes its perfectly acceptable to doom 4,000 years plus of sentient beings, on a pre-set path of no escape from sin, just so their descendants can be offered the ‘chance of salvation’ when the god murders its own son.”
~vikaTae

“Don’t be an ass or a pussy, ’lest you get screwed by life. Being a mouth or a hand is somewhat safer, and an eye socket is pretty much sacred in this regard, so always keep a look out.”

@PaulHaynek To relay a little bit of information I got from @Lady Selune, she's been posting in games, but very slowly. I can't say when she'll post in this again, so I'll leave it to her to confirm she's still around.
Marxello Catchanale

'That's Syszi,' Mark corrected, a bit forcefully, even as he pocketed the purse of money. 'But yes, I suppose my name on it would work. As for why she's not here... honestly, I'm not sure. I didn't see her awake by the time I left...' It was about this point that he was interrupted in his speech by Ian's farewell, and before Mark could finish his train of thought, the man had already skipped away. Skipped, as if he weren't a mercurial mercenary with questionable sanity. Then again, what did he know about men of questionable sanity and how they acted? Not a lot, for various reasons, so go figure.

That said, he'd received his payment, and the figurine would be delivered to his partner soon-ish... God, had he really asked for his name to be on the wrapping? And practically agreed that she was his wife, at that. Was he trying to give everybody the wrong impression?

...well, in fairness, he honestly wasn't sure how he felt about Syszi. Obviously, repeated sexual intercourse would lead to some pretty intense attachments between anybody, but even so, he wasn't exactly trying his hardest to keep her interested in him, which barely even mattered when she had been enamoured with him from very early on. Maybe he ought to chat about that with the Salamander... which he couldn't do if he was out and about. In which case, best to head back to the guild for the time being and see what presented itself by the time he got back. And after all, hound-filled woods weren't the most alluring place to stay overnight.
@The Fated Fallen I've had a few clubs suggested to me by family members, but as it happens, there aren't any Warhammer stores within my town, at least as far as I'm aware, which sucks because that'd be what I'm particularly interested in if anything.
@Fetzen Well, I hope you feel better soon. That said, would anybody happen to have any tips on getting to know more people, if they might reasonably apply?
@POOHEAD189 I mean, to be frank, I desperately need any extra interaction I can get. I don't talk to enough people IRL, which I know full-well isn't especially healthy for anybody.
@POOHEAD189 I mean, if I kept digging the hole, that'd be less sociability, wouldn't it? It's a bit difficult to dig your way out of a hole, after all... I think that's how the idiom's set up, I'm not entirely certain.
@POOHEAD189 Reasonably. I've realised lately how much of a hole I've managed to dig myself into socially, so now I'm hoping to make moves toward un-digging that hole.
Maceroy Falthon

Not only did Marie dodge, off the tower no less, but her first shot indeed met its mark, piercing a hole through Maceroy's lower-left wing and digging a good way into his stomach with the leftover kinetic energy. A loud hiss escaped him as he continued to fall, though the damage was not so severe that he couldn't slow his fall back to reasonable speeds. Even through the tower. Even as the tower collapsed… hold on, had something else hit it? He hadn’t been able to spot anything else, but nonetheless...

As the place began falling into itself, Maceroy propelled himself out of the collapsing brickwork, using a finger to forcibly dig out the bullet lodged in his side in the meantime, complete with additional bleeding, before his own nanites healed over it. That’d just make things awkward later on. As it stood, neither hole was too severe even to slow down his flight, and he estimated that they’d both heal over within the minute. With that done, he let himself hover down toward the ground before the bounty hunter, partially cloaked in brickdust as he landed before her smoking barrel.

Admittedly, he ought not to have been distracted from her words by the yelling of a rather angry female voice. But to him, it sounded… mildly familiar. Like a voice he’d once known, altered almost but not quite beyond recognition. He couldn’t help but look over to see what the fuss was about; two harpies presented themselves, both with red-coloured feathers, and... wait... the feathers, the face... surely not...

‘Evie?’ he whispered to himself. It couldn’t be. The last time he’d seen her was-

He was distracted from his thought process by the sound of a weapon loudly transforming. A glance over showed that the former sniper rifle was quickly turning into two pistols, and the gunwoman leaping up to catch them in mid-air. Bringing his lance to bear in both hands, he span it up again, taking to the air and flying toward Marie on his upper set of wings whilst angling the lower set around much of his body. No doubt, he’d realised, any projectiles those guns fired would be as armour-piercing as the full-size variant; however, they’d surely be comparatively slower too, maybe a smaller caliber, and certainly less damaging. Therefore, by angling his wings appropriately, each projectile could be deflected rather handily, causing minimal damage that would then be easily repaired by the nanites in his body… and she was muttering to herself. Or to somebody else. No wonder.

As he drew close, not willing to waste his attention on forming a sentence for the moment, Maceroy first attempted to buffet her with one wing to disorient her, and then lashed out with a heavy two-handed swing of his lance at full spin, one that would force her in the direction of the harpies if she avoided it as he planned. Of course, there was always the possibility she’d do something otherwise, but he was counting on either the wing impact or the attempt to avoid it to leave her with minimal time to consider her options - and more importantly, minimal time to take advantage of the inevitable corresponding gap in his feathered shield, lowered as it was to allow him to swing the lance in the first place. If he could get more bodies into the fight, he could distract the human’s attentions, and perhaps get in the lethal hit against her as a result.

HR-513 - The Harvester

(actions taken by order of @Spiffy)

As HR-513 watched his would-be partner’s actions, simply to make sure the harpy didn’t take any serious damage, so too did he keep watch over the rest of the battlefield, in particular the intense combat raging between the demon and angel at the battlefield’s center - and moreover, of the fairly massed support the one was receiving compared to the other. It was not that the Machina lacked such troops, of course, merely that most had yet to engage with any foe, angelic or demonic, and would likely perish quite quickly for how they focused on horde tactics. And yet, it seemed to him that a few stray shots from that far-distant army may well lead to far-ranging damage - perhaps even striking himself or Maceroy in the process.

Besides which, he pondered, it wouldn’t do for him to simply sit by and do nothing to support his faction. Not as future High Cartographer.

Aiming his weapon arm in the direction of that angelic support, and noting the white wall that seemed to manifest about them as he did, the Harvester charged his first attack for several seconds before finally firing, sending an immense wave of bright-blue warp energy surging toward the army rapidly. Everything solid in its path seemed to vanish as it made contact, though in truth, it was merely transported to the Harvester’s side, only to vanish again as the detritus was warped a second time into the main body of mass making up the Harvester’s true body and compressed to so much neutronium. For the power of the warp blast, this minimal input barely affected it, though for the distance covered, many kilometers in a shockingly short span of time, the actual amount of energy it lost was likely significant.

HR-513 had already calculated that the leftover energy would be needed to overwhelm the defenses that had been set up and warp any angels in the area into his own vicinity - since it was also likely that additional defenses would be set up by those who had produced the initial barrier, he had further charged it to overwhelm reasonably strong defenses beyond that. Much as he detested unknowns, sometimes one had to figure out their optimal result as best they could.

If all went as expected, the warp energy would likely reach the targeted area twenty-point-two-four seconds after it was fired. It would likely be noticed ten-point three-eight seconds before impact, and on impact, it would likely expend a large proportion of itself to warp away the defensive barriers set up to stop it, either shattering them completely as their seals were forcibly torn away, or simply trapping any excess energy within the remnants. Not that HR-513 expected much excess to remain after the fact.

Any troops caught in this warp energy would also be warped to HR-513’s side immediately, where they would consequently be subjected to personal-scale, warped-in bursts of solar mass, hot enough to essentially fry each soldier as they were caught in them- either by cooking their entire bodies or by simply destroying their fragile brain tissue if possible- and killing them as quickly as possible. But only just. Too much energy used in that affair would be wasteful; not enough would of course mean additional energy was needed to end them properly, a waste in itself, though it may be inevitable that some would have the strength to survive that initial blast anyway. Once again, unknown variables conspired to mock his efforts at precision. It was a risk he would have to take, for now.

...humm. That was a fairly useful shortcut, wasn't it? Shame about the container's size, as Lucius made clear to the psyker with a mild glare, but the worm would just have to get used to it. Not that he was particularly enthused with the psyker's... well, these clearly weren't standard Imperial powers, after all. Then again, was he so much of a hypocrite that he'd only allow others their abilities if they benefited him? According to the brief flash of renewed combat memory, no he was not.

Naturally, the tech-psyker didn't stick around, instead transforming into some form of black smoke, and apparently wafting through the top of the emergency elevator, leaving no trace of his presence behind except a slight flickering of the lights in the corridor. A few seconds later, the minion began to keen ever so slightly in his terror, before cutting off with a mild yell as Lucius grabbed him by the scruff of his shirt and tossed him bodily into the back of the elevator. He then stepped in himself, barely managing to fit with a grunt of annoyance as he folded his knees up against his body, and probably compressing the follower more than he'd like - though if he showed any signs of discomfort, he was apparently hiding them. If he hadn't been crushed dead yet.

Despite his lack of mobility in the space, Lucius just about managed to maneuver his hand toward the promised control panel, pressing the button marked "3" on it, and then pulling it away as the lift moved steadily upward, jerking around a little bit for the excess of weight, but managing its journey nonetheless. A couple of minutes later, and they were at their destination, Lucius kicking away the door in front of him and stepping out once more, and the worm falling on his face just behind, gasping for a short while as he regained consciousness and attempted to stand again. Pathetic.

'Check again. Where is the other Dark Angel?' No nonsense, just orders. For a brief second, the minion's eyes rolled up into his skull again, before he blinked a couple of times and smiled, as if he deserved to do so.

'Right this way, my lord master almighty!' he cried out, beginning to jog ahead just a little. Lucius' steady pace kept up with near-casual ease; several turns, a few stops to re-check Xepherial's location, and one particularly long corridor later, and the superhuman turned the corner of the ship, his gaze falling upon his black-armoured ally at long last. Along with a substantial number of other, more standard humans, two of whom in particular seemed quite intent on standing off against one another. This was... quite the interesting scenario. Had Xepherial already begun to manipulate them to his ends, or did Lucius need to do that for him?

Not that it mattered. If they could all be brought under control, they'd all make wonderful cannon fodder. Slowly, and with his hands casually placed upon one blade and the holstered Tigrus bolter, Lucius strolled up until he stood next to Xepherial, making no less an imposing image than the armour-clad Techmarine simply for sheer aura of menace. Technically, his ally was the more dangerous of the two; when push came to shove, though, Lucius had a feeling he'd be more willing to act against these humans immediately if they turned against them first. But if they never did, they'd never have to find out.

'Nice to see you again, battle-brother,' he murmured to his ally. Then, in a louder voice, he called out coldly and confidently to the massed men 'Do as he says. You outnumber us many times over, and yet you would nonetheless die down to the last man if you tried to overpower us. It simply cannot be done.' Was this true? Possibly not completely, not with Lucius' lingering wounds, but Xepherial in particular could probably tear apart most of them on his lonesome. Such were the perks of bearing additional limbs of plasteel and adamantium.

@ProPro To wit, Headhunter is still waiting for a response from Chatterbox specifically, and the other Jacks sans Sofia if they feel like responding. Overall, I'd say we're still discussing, myself.
