Scylla
Servant Berserker

Beach Far from the Redrock Church

The small Berserker had continued to get away despite her master's interfering actions with the tree. It wasn't any time to fuss or argue, merely to act and get her mastery to saftey. That was what her instincts told her, and so she had continued to run away, pushing herself and making sure her two passengers were safe. She passed through some woods near the edge of the city before moving through the forest proper, but eventually made her way to a beach shore, coated in the moonlight as waves lapped up along the sandy shore. It was something, at least, to distance herself from the other enemy and their stupid mage. At least, she assumed it was a mage. Kinda had to be enough of one to summon a servant, eh?

"Ah....you are safe now, master," the small Berserker said aloud as she set her master and master's friend down gingerly, carefully upon the sand below.

Evangeline Henderson
Master of Assassin

Parking Lot of the Redrock Church, Redrock

Wasn't too much of a drive to her destination, though she hoped her servant wasn't too displease with the trip as to do something against it. Though the oni, with the gift of many bottles of quality sake, seemed well enough off as a servant that they'd be able to get back to the beach home before anything like her servant just blitzing off back home out of boredom might happen. Wasn't like the other mages here would be doing stupid crap this first night, right? A lot of them might be making further preparations and such just to work out their defenses and such, just as Evangeline herself had set up with her familiar colonies placed underground. Heh, except her defenses in that sense would continue to grow and spread like a plague underneath the earth, and down the length of the leyline the other had been placed near even faster. But as for tonight, just all of them checking in seemed rather reasonable, though her gut gave her a feeling that might not be the case. After all, this was supposed to be a war, and any sort of mage could have been drawn here.

So as her car pulled into the parking lot, she almost didn't blink at the sight before her as much as almost want to sigh out of her mind. A small family, an entire tree or two that had been uprooted it seemed, and a figure unmistakable as a servant. Damn it. First night and someone was already getting exposure to the common people of this town, though personally she felt that this could also be a ploy by an unscrupulous mage who wanted a meat shield. She didn't think much on the matter beyond this, though, as she turned off the car and stepped out like normal.

'We'll just head inside the church from the side door here. Seems like some mage decided to expose their servant like this, so their idiot of a master can handle it. Seems a battle happened though, huh,' Evangeline thought to her servant, even her mental communication almost sighing aloud at the stupid sight. But not being close enough to normally get involved in this, the female magus began walking towards the side door of the Redrock Church with a casual but fast stride.

Last thing she wanted was to get caught in this, and potentially Assassin might want to just get this done and get back to some drinks as well back at the beach home. Though if any of the other masters tried to involve her in this situation, she'd gladly defend herself as needed. As much as she felt dull to the situation visible near the front of the church to her, getting needlessly involved would be dumb as well.

@demonspade64 The spear Nyma made is described in Nyma's inventory. Just look at my latest post for details.

@Jangel13 Posted!

And for the sake of dialogue, i know the "death and wolf" idea did not work, but i can think of a potential branch to the spider path perchance. Just for the sake of creativity....and thinking of these things is rather fun. Even if it ends up rejected it at least is talking about interesting things. XD

Nyma

Day 5: Morning

Nyma did not argue as Gird went about his plan of guiding the spiderlings away from the rest of them, though their presence in the first place had been suspicious when it came to the plan Gird seemed to have. At least, now, she knew their role when it came to the female spiders. Though the situation now only left three of them to face the mother spider, who sat upon her web as if waiting for her brood to bring back the prey that was Gird. How would she react to them, though? Would the spiderlings come back, would she take action herself? It seemed, according to Luz's plan, they would be banking on the latter, and that was perhaps their best bet at least.

However, trading her spear with Luz's for the battle as needed did seem like a smart idea, at least giving them the chance to fend back the mother spider if needed. Not that she was most comfortable having her useful weapon traded out of the blue, but at the same time they needed to survive. And she wanted to survive, and grow. She let Luz take her hand for their shared prayer to Duvelna, before skittering carefully back over to the left. She used the spider-like stance she had used before, ready to strike out as Luz's spear was held in front of her and ready to stab at a moment's notice.

Though internally, as Luz prodded the spider, Nyma said her own small prayer in her head.

'Oh Goddess, i give my thanks for thine answer to my prayer and for thine gift that i now wear. Let this hunt be true, that us here may slay this beast and dedicate its soul to thee. Should'st thou have any children whom i might also worship as well, all done in reverence to thine greatness from which they originate, then please let me know them that i might better glorify thee in this manner as well.'

It was a fervent prayer filled with sincerity, but to her made some sense as well. Should her goddess have children, those whose power spawned from her great might, then worshiping them next to her would be glorifying even more the goddess whom they originated from. She believed this in earnest, and hoped this could perhaps help her gain more understanding of this world as well when it came to divinities. After all, expanding her knowledge would only help when it came to....her end goal. But that goal was not for now or this time. That of which she was certain.

For now, she was ready, ready to attack, ready to pounce and stab at the head and heart of the beast before them.

Tomorrow i got work, so either: before work tomorrow, Sunday, or Monday......i will be getting up a post. ALso i am juggling some things atm in regards to RP's. XD
Wait....what was Luz telling Nyma to do with her spear? I didn't fully get what was said at that part of the Luz post.
@Jangel13 Same. :P
Kikyo Tohsaka

The Holy Grail War. Kikyo knew innately how much her mother, her parents overall, had been working and planning for this moment. She'd heard about it all since she had been a small child, and though to her the matter had become desensitizing after a time....it was coming more into perspective now at least. Sent to learn at the Clocktower to help her bide her time within a place of learning (outside of the scandals or other such event that could happen there potentially) and gain skills in preparation for the upcoming conflict, even as through the grapevine she picked up on rumors of a Middle East expedition having been in the works back home, but in the end she had been pulled home to help finish a project before a certain family had backstabbed them and forced the Tohsaka Family's hard work to be expended in an attempt to counteract this betrayal.

Furthermore, the only help they could seem to get from allies and such was....other children, mere children...and the exasperated Matou girl she had some personal interest in, whose demeanor seemed to hint at a rather tough life. Albiet she'd only kept her own tongue in regards to that "worm man", as she had dubbed him as a small child in the far past, for the sake of her family and parents and their connections. Such was only to be expected of a mage, but personally she loathed the wretch and was glad he was gone. Not that it made them any better in regards to allies, much to her bitter mental note on the matter.

-------

But overall at this moment Kikyo Tohsaka, heir to her family and a prodigy who had helped complete the Jeweled Sword that had made this possible......was slightly in a wistful, bored mood as it were, having been mindlessly preparing foods for her mother's afternoon tea for their many guests. Fortunately she had been able to arrange to have the corresponding tea cakes she personally enjoyed so much, at least whenever her mother forced afternoon tea upon them as was her nature, though it was only a small victory in her mind over the dull tasks she had been put to work with. For the moment she was standing in the kitchen, brain and body running on naught but a nice cup of morning tea and a few goodies snatched subtly from a couple of the other plates she had brought out earlier. This all whilst a plate of more of those little fancy cucumber sandwiches she had just prepared for all those gathered here carefully in her hands to be brought out.

Walking out into the room in her usual garb, a kitchen apron still garbed upon her for lack of caring what others might think of her hobby, Kikyo moved to the table and put down the plate carefully as her eyes scanned the crowd with a sense of light interest at least. There was at least one servant here, from appearances alone reminding her of the British knights of old, who she felt might enjoy the tea more than others. At least, beyond that of her own servant.

Deciding to try to start a conversation, however, she decided to approach one of the other masters, a brown-haired girl who seemed cute and had a pair of glasses on and seemed visibly nervous about things(@RolePlayerRoxas). It was the least she could do, and admittedly between the seeming separation from the others and the bit of attractiveness of this girl Kikyo felt drawn to her a bit. She gave a light nod to the girl as she approached, before trying to break the ice a bit, a small smile on her face:

"New to little things like this, eh? Haha. But to be honest, you are doing fine," the female Tohsaka heiress said, trying to eek out her own manner of social interaction and words to reassure and interact with the Kishinami girl, before extending a hand to her, "My name is Kikyo, by the way. You could come hang back in the kitchen with me a minute if you want, just to get away from the larger crowd for a bit, and maybe get some of the fresh food i'm preparing to settle the nerves."

It was worth a shot anywho. As bland as this girl seemed, it was unique to Kikyo and worth trying to aim for some conversation.
