I think that in general we want to build a world where everyone is happy with where things are at. Whilst it IS quite amusing to see cultures develop over thousands of years, I find it hard to imagine that it's easy to manage or comprehend haha.

To be completely honest, I feel that we can just get to a level of magic/tech we all find fun and go on with that. Cultures change over thousands of years, you can't really expect to have them stay the same over the time. As such, it might be ideals to focus on individual's stories and use them to show off the culture. As it is fantasy-ish RP of sorts, I don't think it's entirely unlikely that tech advances faster than in our timeline. As long as it helps with the story and RP, I'd rather not cut an interesting story in half just ebcause it takes time to research something.

But do tell me if you guys feel the same or differently. I'm open to any ideas :)@6slyboy6

I completely agree.

The deafening sound of gunshots suddenly rang out, causing Higgsbury to rapidly block his ears until Rick started panicking. A damn bullet almost grazed the taller scientist! “What did we do!?” They already had some sorta freaky humanoid ghoul tailing them for some unknown reason, now they’ve got guards on their asses again! They were screwed!

Pathetic sounds and swears spewed from Wilson as he clutched his head and spasmed. “Why now!?” He’s dealt with death already, each more gruesome and painful than the last -- but, because of Them, he and the other survivors were usually revived, starting all over from the beginning again, and again, and again for Their amusement! He had a feeling, though, that within this world, death was permanent.

Once he was placed on his feet again, he immediately ran around in circles before ducking behind Rick, who was now yelling at the armed men. Wilson’s head tilted as he listened.

Was Rick really famous or something? Or was this just some more drunken blabbering?

“Mr. San--” Higgsbury would then cut off at the freakish sight of the nearby abomination morphing into the true stuff of nightmares! “What the hell’s going on!?”@MajorGremlin

Trollge grabbed the grenade with one of his tendrils, quickly throwing it back to his attackers just as it exploded. Letting out an inhuman screech, he charged through the fire and the smoke to rip the nearest soldier in half, slurping out his intestines in the process. That taken care of, the beast moved into the rest, tearing them limb from limb and leaving nothing but large splotches of burgundy colored blood.@ZAVAZggg

Rick didn't spare the smaller scientist a word and yet again grabbed Higgsbury, it wasn't going to do either scientist any good to waste their time in the range of gunfire and whatever that abomination was about to do. 

And so Rick booked it with the little man tucked under his arm. He didn't stop running until he couldn't hear the god awful screeching that Trollge made, he found himself stopping for breath in the middle of a park and placed the scientist Wilson upon the ground rather roughly but not enough to harm the little man.

"Y-y-you can-*belch* thank me later..." he spent a few moments wheezing before sighing exasperatedly "Ho-ho-hooooollly shit...Wh-wh-what is fucking wrong with this dimension...We-we're going to fucking die if we can't escape!
