Ghosting is killing ideas..

The problem with that, not that it's not a good thing to do, is that a lot of folks will give you a

"Oh yeah, I've been super busy but I'm still definitely interested please don't drop me" response.

And then still just never ever post.

It's a good approach. Remind folks of it in case theyve just forgotten, but a lot of the time they'll give you a positive response without any actual intent of posting again.

I still think it good to communicate but nobodies gonna be the same. Say someone doesn't post awhile and give a lackluster excuse that is pretty meh. If they don't have time or just aren't interested they should say so.

I think Ghosting I'm a group setting is something the GM has to handle, since there is so many reasons their player might not be posting. Now handling it aggressively like someone has done to me before is by far unacceptable, now it should just be courtesy to say "yeah nah I'm just not feeling it so I gotta drop out" like I or anyone else should say if they just don't have the time of day or motivation to be in an rp. It just makes sense to say something rather than nothing but it isn't always as simple as that.

"AHHHHH NO HURTY WORMWOOD! WORMWOOD LOOK FOR TASTY-TASTY! NO HURT WORMWOOD PLEASE!" the Kobold let out a fearful and shrill yap, trying and failing not to mention flailing to wade away in shallow water only to splash about and get on top of a slippery rock almost bonking his head to the dismay of Squig who in comparison made a indignant sqee.

Before the green little lizards eyes had been pinpoints but now his vacant gaze was filled with fearful eyes, if nothing he was a typical Kobold to still have that deep rooted fear and cowardice ingrained in him though his all around lack of awareness and commonsense often downplayed that nature.

He stopped loudly yapping, and his eyelids lowered if they had eyebrows likely they would have been furrowed in a worried look.

"Hooman n-no make Wormwood go, p-please? H-Hooman no hurty Wormwood...Yes?" though he wasn't that bright as a monster he understood that humans didn't like their kind even if they were people too but beyond that all he knew was that humans were big and scary, as was Ingrid even if she weren't threatening him he still subtly but noticeably quivered fearful that she was going to shoo him away or make him leave.

The tactician couldn't agree more with his fellow or rather former colleagues sentiment, Zenkichi's concerns weren't unfounded being seen with a group of dissidents would no doubt draw the ire of others. Yet so far they had been doing a rather shoddy job at keeping a low profile what with the detective having been following up on the trail of bread crumbs the Seekers kept leaving behind.

Benedict nodded as he approached all three men, he cast a glance at his surroundings with what seemed like a bored look yet he was ever watchful for those who might also be watching. However the strategist had not anticipated a man in a flamboyant jacket to brazenly step forward to the big man himself; Goldlewis to introduce himself.

The merchant thrust a hand towards Goldlewis with a amicable smilemon his mug "Howdy there friend, you must be that darned Mr. Lewis everyone done talked about. Name's Partitio, pleasure to make your acquaintance and thank ye kindly for whatever the heck this fancy piece of 'plastic' is." if the big man shook his hand Partitio would give it a firm shake and go about to greeting everyone else he hadn't yet met. To Benedict the man certainly was...Enthusiastic? Well alas he didn't seem absolutely without sense at least hopefully one I his profession had sense.

It's all good. Just got to thinking while working my post that if the shrinkage lasted longer than when those in the hall left the hallway, Gabe would likely need to carry the party thorough the swamp until the effect wore off.
