Duuka is not allowed to drive the ship. Duuka doesn't know how to fly the ship. The only person that would have a chance of surviving if Duuka flew the ship would be Duuka himself.

I too have realized that Kasy has not got a ship role listed...

She can fill any role on the ship, though she does not specialize in any of them. Quarian general training will do that.

I'll make her the pilot if we don't get anyone better for the job, otherwise she'll probably be inclined to poke around with the weapons.

As for living in cramped conditions, this ship will seem positively roomy to Kasy. A ship designed for 16 would have at least 20 souls aboard in the Migrant fleet. That said, she is still a prickly individual....
