Current No point posting your writing online if you don't care about praise.

Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

Selena

What happened afterwards was beyond Selena's wildest dreams.

She thought they would clear the misunderstanding between the angry man and the boy, and that everything would be fine. Yasha was already there talking to him, and she seemed like good enough of a negotiator.

However, everything soon spiralled to hell when one knight who seemed to be the captain's subordinate shouted, "Commander! Look above you!"

He looked up, and Selena looked up as well.

And Senna was there, perched on the rooftop.

"Demon!"

The voice came from the captain, whose expression was a combination of fear and anger. Without wasting any second, he drew his blade, pointing it towards the demoness.

"Take the boy and run!" he then shouted at Selena, not knowing that the two were working together.

Selena didn't know how she should react. Should she run, pretending not to know Senna? Or should she try to clear up this new misunderstanding, telling him that her friend didn't come here to kill anyone?

Her answer, however, was soon made for her, when a crossbow bolt headed straight to where Senna was, fired off by the captain's subordinate.

Of course, such a meagre attack stood no chance against Senna, who cleaved the bolt in two with her blade.

And then, she jumped down to where Selena and the captain were.

Selena immediately knew what she was going to do when she stopped hiding her oppressive demonic aura. However, she couldn't bring herself to stop her. Before she could do anything, the demoness leaped towards the captain and stabbed her blade right into his chest.

"Senna!" Selena shouted. Her shout did nothing however as Senna pretty much reveled on her slaughter, acting just like a demon would, drawing out the blood from the captain.

And then, she leaped towards her next target, the subordinate. She, of course, stood no chance as well, as she received the full blow of Senna's newly-conjured halberd's blunt end, crippling her movement, making her writh in pain on the ground. Using her ability, she grotesquely coated her black armor in shades of red from her own blood.

And then, she went after the civilians.

Chaos ensued as everyone who was present fleed as fast as they could, screaming for their lives.

She had to stop this.

She and Yasha were the only ones strong enough to stop her.

She didn't care that she and the demoness were friends, though only for a short while. She had to be stopped. Call it her sense of justice if you would but she would simply not tolerate such a slaughter.

"...Get away from here as fast as you could," she said to the boy, who was visibly scared on what just happened in front of him, grabbing his shoulders in an attempt to calm him down, "Go to the opposite direction as far way as you could. Only return once you are certain it is absolutely safe to do so."

AFter that, she stood up, before switching gear into her combat mode. Senna was more of a melee fighter, so she had to keep her distance from her. So her plan was to hide in the alleyways and other places where she couldn't find her easily, and then unleashed all her curses towards her. Hopefully, Yasha would be there to be the frontline fighter against her.

Oh boy, oh boy, I have to think up my reply carefully now.
@KoL
Busy IRL, sorry.
Suwako Makiyoshi

@Flamelord
"Very well then," Suwako answered. "I agree that we hurry and return back to the base. I'll come with you. Who knows if some other magical girls decide to ambush us because they think we're weak from the previous battle."

And so the two headed back to the Beacon base. On the journey, Suwako's mind was filled with dread for the days to come. She had a feeling that the situation would only get worse and worse. Magical girls that were opposed to the Beacon were gathering, and she just hoped they would have enough manpower to handle them all.

...Well, there's no use to think about it right now. We'll deal with it when the time comes.

Illia Anastasia

@dragonmancer
"Sure!" Illia replied. "Something like this isn't that big of a deal, really."

Her gaze then fell on the commotion happening in the distance. There was now a pile of scrolls all over the ground. She wondered where they came from.

"Please excuse me for a moment," she said to the lizard before going to where the scrolls were.

She began looking through them. Hmm, these seem to be detailing the personal info of all the people present here. Curious magic. Do I get one too, I wonder?

And indeed she did. Reading the contents inside, there was nothing really private or shameful that was written. It was just describing what she was, not what her thoughts were and her history. Nothing that was a big deal.

Well, perhaps it having her three sizes was a little bit shameful. Anyone reading it would know that she was secretly more well-endowed that she looked, thanks to her loose clothing.

And that was why she quickly ripped it apart with her magic to pieces once she finished reading it.

She then was approached by Mable, who asked her if she could shape some bleachers.

"Hmm, let me try..." she answered. Focusing her magic, she began bending one of the bleachers. And sure enough, just as she had expected, it still bent.

"Yes, I should be able too," she said to Mable. "If just bending it and shaping it."

After their brief break, the group returned back to the cave. The field they were before had now been replaced by some sort of a training room.

"This is a recording. Your next challenge will be a test of your wits and strength. Here in this room you will face six opponents, the rules are simple, either destroy or incapacitate all of your enemies."

Another one of these games. I wonder what their end goal is. It can't be just for their amusement, can it?

And then, the robots appeared. And without giving any signal beforehand, they fired off some sort of ball of energy towards the group.

Illia, unlike some of the others, didn't bother taking cover. Instead, she merely activated her barrier, deflecting any energy balls heading to her way. Slowly, she marched to where the leader robot was (she assumed it was the leader judging by how it looked). Being in the open, she quickly became the target of most of the robots, and the energy balls hitting her barrier over and over again were starting to drain her mana.

...Perhaps this isn't the best idea...

She hoped that the others could use this opportunity to attack the robots as she was not exactly in the ideal position to mount an offense as well.

Selena merely smiled back at the boy's confused reaction. Of course, she had already expected his confusion. For someone who was used to this kind of life, it wouldn't be odd for him to mistrust any adults that happened to approach him.

Before Selena could hear his reply however, they were interrupted by the arrival of another person, who seemed to be a guard though he didn't wear the full outfit set.

And then, the boy started crying.

The guard now looked at her, as if he was asking for help.

To make matters worse, now the shouting angry man was going towards their direction as well.

"Can you watch him for... five minutes? ...Please?" the guard suddenly asked to her, his expression looking desperate.

Selena then looked back at the kid, who was still sobbing. Immediately she felt a pang on her heart. She couldn't help but to feel pity at him.

Gah, she had never done this before but she just had to do it. Selena, use your instinct as a motherly, feminine female!

"Sure!" Selena returned the guard's plea, before bending down to the kid's level and immediately led him to her embrace. Slowly and gently brushing the back of his head, she said to him, "Shhhh, it's alright. You'll be safe here with me, your big sis Selena..."

She hoped that would be enough to calm the boy down.

Hearing Catherine praising her for having raw talent, and that she did much better than most of the other new students, Kanako couldn't help but brighten up. She was proud on her ability, and being praised like this made her even prouder. She would make sure that she would develop that talent properly so that she could make Catherine even prouder of her.

Kanako immediately did as she was told. She first examined the stance Catherine was making, before attempting to imitate it as best as she could. The first training would be some breathing exercise, and the point of the training was to make her more attuned with her element. So Kanako concentrated herself at every breath she took and released. She felt the flow of the air coming in from her nose into her lungs and then coming back out.

Thanks to Catherine's tact, Kanako was able to focus entirely on the lesson, since she still didn't realize that her skirt was gone.
Hmm, I might be interested.

Don't worry. No one's pointing anything yet. They are on high alert though.

Lydia quickly held up her camera once Michel gave her the permission to take a photo of him. She focused all her attention into it as she looked through it while Michel posed, adjusting the angle to take the perfect shot. It took quite some time until she finally got the picture she wanted, so Michel would have to stay in that pose for a while.

"Yes, I am," Lydia answered his question, still with her usual blank expression. "Though I don't have my own shop. I instead sell my photos online. I also fix and edit photos and I also do photography jobs."

"You're welcome to my service anytime. I'll give you a discount since you let me take your photo. Oh, and do not worry. I won't sell your photo. I also collect beautiful photos and I've decided to enter your photo to my collection."

At the end of her speech, Lydia actually gave a slight smile. Said smile was the best smile she could muster.
