Ardur The Pixie
A Lizard Attack Plan >>>> Danger Abound /// week 2 // Daylight?

Ardur listened and watched carefully at what was happening around them. The lizard that called itself Ash seemed rather intelligent and possibly just a bit manipulative compared to the others. The others were either silent or aggressive but still didn’t outright attack anyone, new friends then. For now with the absence of anything better to do he will continue to play along with this little game.

Ash didn’t seem to like him being on her. The pixie could feel the lizard’s muscles tense under his feet and her voice sounded rather annoyed. “But I’m sure you would be a mighty steed.” He said with a smile, her comment about a horse took him a moment to register. “How do you know what a horse is?” the wheels in his head were turning as he tried to figure out what just happened until his instincts started to kick in.

The cave was actually quiet for once, a strange occurrence normally the goblins were making all kinds of noise and ruckus. It was strange. So strange that for a moment he wasn’t even paying attention to the lizards or what Ash was talking about or the fact that she had addressed him again. Carefully the Pixie moved off of Ash and made his way towards the side of the little gathering away from the middle of the group but away from the direction of the bonfire. Honestly he figured the goblins were like toddlers, if they were being quiet they must be up to something.

Goblin Gird
Time to fight >>>> Trying to ride a skeleton /// Day 4 // Night

Gird stayed as quiet and as still as he could while he waited for the fight to begin. The Skeletons were soon at the heavy doors, the pounding and scraping of bare bone on the wooden door would be enough to scare anyone. The howls and growls from outside were definitely not from any creature he had encountered so far. His heart was racing when he saw it. The bony foot of a shambling undead as it paced forward and into their trap.

The creature was bigger than them, nearly twice their height. But was merely bones and ligaments fueled by an unnatural need to kill. Yet, it did not seem like they were unified in their attempt to get through the door. If they were this would be a hard won fight. For now the single opponent that entered would be enough to test out his theory. He had no idea what these creatures were capable of and was going to find out one way or another.

Gird watched as Gina began her attack. It was calculated, and she showed little fear when engaging it. “Did she fight them already?” he thought while he got out of his cover and into a ready position. Watching as she pinned the skeleton in place for a moment Gird saw his chance to strike. Leaving the vine and horn behind the goblin leapt up onto the closest pew and leapt for the skeleton. Grabbing onto its head and shoulders the goblin held on as he was sure the skeleton would have fallen to the floor with him. Gird would try his best to grapple the head of the undead creature and try to free its head from its shoulders.

Ardur The Pixie
No one told me they can talk >>>> A Lizard Attack Plan /// week 2 // Daylight?

Ardur watched the lizards intently, watching every muscle movement and flick of their tails. Caution must be taken when dealing with creatures who lived on the bottom floor. Standing for a moment on his perch above them he sighed as the one lizard introduced itself. “Ash” a strange name for a lizard but alas he wasn't one. He chose pixie but was quite aware of what the others could do.

Glaring at the Lizard who called up to him with threats and intimidation he spoke once more. “I doubt you have the accuracy for it friend. I'm faster than you know and would easily be able to dodge whatever attack you used on me from this distance.” Ardur continued to think and weigh his options before finally deciding on what to do. The pale Pixie cast shield on himself, took a step forward, and fell.

It wasn't too long before he reached terminal velocity with his weight and small frame. He did enjoy the feeling and rush of falling and enjoyed gliding as well when he needed too. It was only until about half-way down that he spread his wings and began to slow his fall until he landed gently on the back of the lizard who called itself Ash. “Names Trav-err Ardur. Pleasure to meet all of you.” he spoke while still standing on the back of Ash.

“If you need a heal or a shield I'm sure that I can help out. However, I do need mana crystals occasionally, so if we had some time to prepare and plan for this onslaught. I would like it if you could help me hide and or find a few crystals nearby for quicker access.” He figured he would put in his input into the situation. Ardur was quite confident that if things got too hairy he could escape back into the stalagmite ceiling. The pixie was also quite bored and figured he could use some entertainment and maybe a few friends. “As for loot, I don't really care. I'm not all that greedy but I would like first dibs on anything related to my species or magic's. If that is alright with the rest of you?” He asked as he looked over the other lizards.

A slight flinch could be noticed as the other lizard moved from its position towards a slime. The hiss and movement caught him off guard for a moment, but he was glad the lizard was more aware of its surroundings than he was. It was always good to have a few extra eyes out and about to watch for danger. Another unexpected thing happened, the slime spoke or gurgled really. “What now those things can talk too? This place is weirder than Portland and that's saying something.” Ardur didn't really pick up on what he said, but was still a bit curious of the Green and bluish slime.

Experiments with Lizards >>> No one told me they can talk /// week 2 // Daylight?

Ardur watched carefully as the crystal dropped ever so silently through the air. The shimmer suddenly faded as it vanished into the small pool that the lizards had created down below. He was honestly quite surprised with his accuracy, something he had gotten progressively better at over the last few days. It was after all the only thing he could do to annoy the creatures down below.

The pixie often found it strange that he was drawn to annoying or sometimes hurting others with small stones. He did understand that he wasn't all that physically able compared to the others but he did know that if you dropped something from high enough it was bound to do damage to someone. Truly he never meant them any harm, but it was funny to see the creatures scatter from the hidden attacker. Honestly, he simply figured it was a few of his new personality quirks from becoming a pixie.

For a little while longer the crystal didn't seem to do anything. He thought for sure it would at least have a volatile reaction due to what he proceeded to be the nature of manna so far in this world. And yet, he was proven wrong. The viscous liquid that churned and sizzled in the small hole soon began to disappear. At first, he thought it was evaporating but soon he could see the purple glow of the small crystal. How strange. It seemed to absorb the liquid and turned to a beautiful purple. However, somehow the Pixie suspected that this was a beautifully dangerous purple.

The lizards did seem to notice him now and one did something extremely unlikely. They talked. Not only did they talk, they spoke English. Or at least he understood them in English. One of the lizards who the others seemed to be there for called out to him. Something about coming down to visit and a proposition. “Sounds like a trap!” he called down towards them. “Besides how am I supposed to know that you won't just swat me out of the sky and into that bowl of stew you had brewing down there?”

A good question from his point of view, but he still wasn't to sure about this place still. “I mean if I was getting a dinner invite from Gordon Ramsey I'd be down there in a heart beat, but by the looks of it you're wanting to turn me into dinner.” he grimaced slightly at his use of pop culture in the last sentence but what would you expect from someone who just kind of appeared here. At least he was trying, but he figured the most it would do was make him seem crazy.

Goblin Gird
preparing for the fight ahead >>>> Time to fight /// Day 4 // Evening

Gird was glad to see his friend at his side, Gina seemed to be checking the door as the other two formed up beside each other. The only thing he could see that stood out between himself and the others was that he was the only one that didn’t hold a weapon in his hands. The goblin was quick to pull out the Alpha Rabbit Pelt and fasten it over his right shoulder, for him it was more of a mark of superiority or combat capability then actual clothes or armor. For him everything was about morale for him and the others.

Luz seemed worried as she spoke of the same shiver he felt as well. For a moment he thought it was just that rush of an impending fight again but after she said something he could only hope that the goddess was watching. “I think so” he said with a smile, “lets fall in with the others and follow their lead. But personally I’m going to go for its legs and bring it down.” Luz began to move toward the others and Gina as he moved to the wall next to the door.

Once there, he began to untie his vine chest wrap. The vine was still strong but a bit drier now. He placed all of his things along the wall as he wore the rabbit pelt around his neck and his loin cloth. Other than that and the mud Gird didn’t have much else. Holding the vine in his hand he untied the Alpha rabbit horn from the spear and tied it to the vine in a quick but sturdy fashion. He was effectively adding some weight to one end of the vine.

Gird was quick to find some old wooden planks and rubble to pile on top of and around him. This way he could hide better from the skeletons. His plan was simple, once the skeletons came in and began going after his friends he would move from cover and entangle their legs effectively tripping them. After that he would try his best to grab or climb on to them to bring them down and smash their skulls on the stone floor or at the very least disarm them... maybe even literally. Of course this did mean he looked like he was hiding from danger to the others, and he was effectively using them as bait as he used his Rookie camouflage skill.

Ardur The Pixie
watching the others >>> Experiments with Lizards /// week 2 // Daylight?

The mana crystal he had hoped to cling too disappeared after he reached it. He did however, feel the rush of energy return to him as he fell. The pixie momentarily lost altitude to where he was a bit more noticeable to those on the ground. He had seen the mana orbs floating around at times and knew he wasn’t the strongest or the biggest thing around here that could fly. Being wary of this Ardur tried to remain still as he regained his bearings.

Used a Mana Crystal.

MP is fully restored.

All this thinking about magic did remind him of a childhood movie and a song associated with it. “What kind of magic spell to use? Slime and snails or puppy dog tails, Thunder or lightning, something frightening.” The pixie sung while flying effortlessly above the pool, twisting and dancing this way and that. Even in this rather spontaneous and playful mood he was still weary not to drift too close to the water’s surface and closer to that thing that was lurking below the water. “Dance magic, dance. Dance magic, dance. Put that baby spell on me. Slap that baby make him free!”

He was a bit unsure of where this sudden singing came from but assumed it was part of a pixie's nature. Anyways he wasn’t entirely to sure what the other creatures were doing. The slime's seem to be gathering around a goblin with a few others moving towards them. “An ambush maybe? Or a long con?” he wasn’t entirely sure of what they were doing, but they seemed strange. Ardur decided to continue scouting around and figure out what this was all about now that he was a bit more confident n his abilities.

At the very least he now knew that these blue crystals were used for mana. The Pixie also noticed that the small green goblins had been collecting these crystals but was unsure of their purpose. He did decide that investigating the bonfire would be interesting but stopped on a small ledge when he noticed a small gathering of reptiles. Now Ardur was still on guard even through his entire trip over here but otherwise continued to observe the fascinating creatures around him.

These lizards had begun to form what looked like a small puddle of their own saliva. This saliva seemed acidic in nature. He could not tell what they could be talking about, if he could understand them at all, or too what end pooling their saliva did. Until the stone floor seemed to bubble and slowly dissolve. “I wonder” he thought aloud. The Pixie in him was yearning to cause some trouble, and he also agreed. He took some time to find another small crystal like the one he dropped into the pool earlier. Ardur did notice that the crystals n the ceiling where more numerous than the ones on the walls and ground, but they looked a bit smaller.

Finding a small crystal that didn’t absorb into him the moment he touched it. He was careful to break it out of its place. It had to be small, or he didn’t believe he could carry it. The small creature found another roost above the lizards and their growing pool with the small crystal in hand. Being very careful just as he was the last time, Ardur dropped the crystal aiming for the acidic pool below and watched. “Nothing ventured nothing gained” he spoke out loud. It didn’t look like there was much in the way of danger nearby, and he didn’t think that they could reach him up here if things went bad.

Ardur The Pixie
Conducting an Experiment over the pool >>> watching the others /// week 2 // Daylight?

Such a strange occurrence. The small crystal had revealed the shroud of darkness that permeated the pool. His experiment showed him that the pool was actually quite deep and there was what looked like some sort of plant matter clinging to the walls. A large shadow seemed to move from one side of the wall to another, it was eerie and ran a chill down his spine. He wasn’t afraid it was just off and definitely too big to be a fish.

The commotion at the pool side did catch his eye for a moment. At his vantage point he could see a green child in the grass, “must be a goblin” he thought as he remembered the choices he had earlier. There was also what looked like a lizard and a slime going after a one of the floating orbs. Such a strange instance, not once did he observe these creatures so close together before. They all seemed to keep their distance from one another unless they were eating. Yet it almost seemed as if they were helping each other.

“This place sure is strange” he thought as he looked back to the pool. The light from the crystal had gone and the pool was dark again. Ardur took a minute to think about what could have happened to the crystal before seemingly remembering the small pop up from earlier. What a strange way to announce things, he did remember these sort of things from the video games Sara would play but this sure was strange. Ardur didn’t want to think of Sara right now and instead took off from his perch finding a nearby crystal to hang off of while he watched the creatures down below.
