Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

It was annoying busy work, that's what all this was.

Searching the most likely places was turning out to be ridiculous. Even when she had decided to stay back to support Amaryllis, she got her fair share of work too. It felt like they had covered half the city before they finally seemed to make at least some progress. The school was definitely abandoned, and Amaryllis' senses seemed to be spot on. Making sure Amaryllis knew she was off, Kat did what she had suggested and split off from her current partner.

As she found her way into the school yard, Kat found herself a top of a nearby Apartment complex, bow in hand and projectile ready. The school looked like a mess, and even looked like a fight happened there recently. It was obvious something was up here, and even if there was nothing there now it was something she should keep an eye out for later. As soon as Amaryllis stepped foot into the grounds however - things got interesting.

A magical girl seemed to appear out of a portal of some sort. Was this the 'Maiden of Mystic Darkness' she had mentioned earlier? It seemed as such. The very sight of her made Kat's skin crawl with discomfort. They certainly weren't someone of good intent. That much was obvious. Part of her wanted to just send her to the grave here and now. She could do it quite easily...but then she'd also potentially lose information.

She couldn't hear what was happening from her perch, but she could at least see that there wasn't an immediate fight happening. Perhaps this creature could be reasoned with somewhat. Either way, she'd have to come back here later to finish the job if they got useful information out of this girl...but she seriously doubted things would end well.

@Crusader Lord

Hmm~

She wondered what Penny was up to? Meeting some Mint dogs, she assumed. She'd need to meet them soon too if she wanted to potentially smooth things over. After all, she hadn't quite paid back their perceived debt for her black coin yet. Ah, so annoying. Maybe she could play with whoever the current handler was. Getting in good with them, if possible, was a good way to not get dead. Too bad most Mint types were completely boring, and she had let them get their claws into her Penny. Tsk, if they hurt her she'd kill the lot of them. Lord Na-ahem. Lord Iesud would be quite pleased with the tribute of such fresh, sticky souls.

Coming to a halt, her crystalline wings flapped idly as her orb floated beneath her, perching herself atop it as she looked over the city below. She briefly though about going back to the scene of the crime, but only an idiot criminal did that. Wasn't anything left for her there for the moment anyways, so going back would be just like raising a flag saying 'here, it was me, yes, I killed everyone.' As much fun as it'd be to own up to it, she was not that stupid. She might check back later for potential candidates. Anyone who survived would make quite the special little girl, but now?

"Ah, I wonder I wonder who would make a good candidate...someone pretty, pure, and..." It just so happened, as she stood atop her crystal orb she turned in the direction of a certain someone who was spying on her. Ho. Hohoho. Curious, what a curious little kitten who was spying on her. There could only be two reasons someone was spying on her. They were being an unrepentant pervert, or they wanted something from her. She was betting this was the latter. "...audacious enough to get my attention." Giggling lightly, she made a lazy loop in the air, grabbing her orb. Well, if she wanted to watch, she'd put on quite the show for her.

Twirling once more, Chloe began to gain altitude, idly doing some acrobatic maneuvers just to show off until she was several yards above Red Rifles position. Spreading her Crystalline wings, Chloe turned in Red Rifles direction...and just gave her a friendly little smile and a wave. Making sure she had been seen, Chloe would then extend her arm, holding the orb in Rifles direction. For a brief moment it seemed like she was just being friendly.

Until the Orb flickered, drawing in a massive amount of mana into it. Sticking her tongue out and winking playfully at Rifle, there was a low hum as the spirit energy was released from the orb, cutting through the sky of Penrose towards the girl spying on her. If Red didn't move, it'd definitely hit her.

"Hey!" Closing the distance between the slightly, Chloe shouted toward Rifle. "I know I'm pretty, but staring is rude y'know! So how about you introduce yourself so I can take ya on a date!"

Ugh, damn it!

Slow progress was progress, but it was her most disliked form of progress. As she once again, unsuccessfully managed to cast a spell and feeling a strain in the back of her mind Ash rapped her claws against the stone floor impatiently. Gah! There had to be some way to expedite the process! She'd just need to figure out something else to test it on. If she could observe magic directly being used again, it would likely make her life so much easier. Reoths question didn't help her growing levels of impatience and annoyance either.

"Because," She began in a mildly impatient manner. "A: We have MP, B: Everything else in this cave seems capable of using it on some level, so we should certainly be able too. Simple logic. I just need to...work at it a bit." Turning her attention briefly to Colchain to make sure he hadn't run off or anything, she once again focused on the task at hand. With Dany seemingly having flitted off somewhere, she was left alone to figure things out for herself. "I would appreciate no further interruptions. If you want, try doing the same as Danny suggested if you're interested." Reoth could likely continue to talk if he wanted, but she didn't seem to be in a very talkative mood now that she was focused on work.

For the rest of the night, Ash would practice with these various spells unless interrupted. Healing, Lesser Force, and Mana Orb. Lesser force would be easy enough to start with. Using this 'Force' to move objects was simple in theory. All one had to do was somehow exert this will as physical force. It seemed easier than the Healing spell, so she had to wonder why? Perhaps it had something to do with the nature of Magic in the first place? Maybe Lizards simply were suited to healing people. Hm. Either way, until she was interrupted again or succeeded in using 'Lesser Force' she wasn't going anywhere else or sleeping.

She'd need to be careful here, Rav was not an opponent she could underestimate or take her time with. She needed to end the battle swiftly before he had a chance to do anything crafty. Not charging in head on was likely already a mistake, come to think of it. Tch, she'd revise her battle strategies later once this was over it. Time to get serious then.

Without another word spared to her opponent, Seleth closed the distance between them along with her clones, shuffling their positions a number of times in the process to hopefully confound Raviels more mundane senses. Seleth herself approached from the side, intending on using the sharp point of her spear to knock Raviel upside the head. Her clones would approach in a similar fashion from all sides, but they wouldn't be for attacking, but definitely for distracting. They were designed to be a double edged sword that a person had to deal with. Leave them alone and even if Rav hit her, he'd get a nasty debuff that'd make this fight easier for her.

@ERode

"Hm," Kat's expression didn't change as Amaryllis announced their direction. "Lets. Night will be upon us quite soon and if this maiden of darkness is as you say, fighting her in such terms would be unfavorable. We'll check only the most likely places tonight." She briefly cast her gaze towards the sky as she began walking. Patience was also something a good hunter needed, but more than anything, they needed a strategy for this. Just going in and talking wasn't likely to work out. If it did, people like her wouldn't be needed. Talking rarely ever worked on people, as regrettable as it was. They only responded to force.

"You're skilled in close quarters." Katarina began as she moved to the designated area. "I can support you from a distance. My arrows won't miss their mark. I'll find the tallest building and keep an over watch on the area, my eyes don't miss anything." That was the best strategy here. Amaryllis would do the leg work and talking herself, while she could support from a distance. "So you go on ahead. I'll set up somewhere with a good view."

If all else failed, she could easily make her way to the scene with little trouble. She was confident in her speed.

Walking out of her apartment, the door in the alley closed behind her, vanishing into nothing. She was met with a cool breeze as the shadows over Penrose became deeper, the sun setting. Ah, how beautiful. The stars were beginning to shine like little gems floating in an endless sea of black. Fufu. She'd like to pluck them and make them hers. Oh well, she'd just have to content herself by playing with some monsters tonight.

None of the people earlier seemed like good candidates. Granted, she had gotten a little lazy and didn't stick around for long, but oh well. She thought briefly about returning to the scene of the crime and seeing if there were any magical girls lingering about that she could play with, but ultimately decided against it. She was eager sometimes, but not stupid.

Transforming into her magical girl attire, Chloe took to the skies and began flying lowly over the city. Now...what to do?~
~~Ebon Shael & The Wreck of the Eventide~~

@Shoryu@Double

Hmm.

They didn't seem to be saying anything.

That's okay, they were probably just shy! She was quite the important and intimidating figure after all, tee-hee! Any little Ebon that met her would of course, be shy around her! She was beautiful and talented, after all! Hee! Grinning beneath her mask, Shael's eye's lit up as tapped the ends of her fingers together as she decided to take matters into her own hands.

"Hee! This is fine! This one understands shyness! Yes yes, expected in the presence of the Jester, the Presidents most trusted Ebon!" Giggling brightly, her ethereal musical voice as jovial as ever. Spinning in place, she let her arms extend to their full length. Extending one arm behind her head and reaching for her foot she did her best show of 'interpretive dance' by doing a serious of acrobatic and rather complicated looking acrobatics that could only be possibly of someone with similar physiology. She leaped into the air, twisting and flipping before landing, stretching her body in rather funny ways.

Except -

There was an audible cracking noise as she landed.

"Ah..." Shael's body suddenly felt limp, falling to the ground as she slowly waved a hand. Jessiel seemed to float over in a matter of seconds, look down at the Jester, and simply kicked her lightly on the head. "Gah! I'll die! Seriously die!"

"Follow doctors orders next time." He grunted, glancing over to their guests, sighing. "Internal bleeding. Re-fractured your ribs. Probably tore a muscle too." Motioning for their new friends to follow, Jessiel held out his hands and focused on Shael. A few seconds later, she floated off of the ground as Jessiel moved to the medbay. The medical bay would be quite foreign to the ponies. The sleek design of the ship seemed to extend to the interior and equipment as well.

Jessiel sat Shael down on a table.

"Sedation. Can't have you moving around again."

"Tsk, no fun!"

"Do you want to die?" Jessiel growled back.

"Fine fine! This one will sleep and dream of the presidents warm-" She didn't finish the sentence before Jessiel placed a hand on her head, applying a powerful sleeping spell.

"I'll silence you for her." He sighed, before the healing waters of twilight formed in his hand. Moving them up and down her injured body and doing his best to mend the wounds as best he could. Maybe surgery would be needed later, but for now she was in mostly stable condition as long as she didn't do anything else stupid. Glancing over to the Ponies, he waved a hand dismissively, seemingly having dismissed their presence as a curiosity now and nothing more, he left, leaving Astral and Luna alone with Shael. At least he seemed to trust they weren't hostile or had ill intent.

Getting back to the Stillwood was a breeze, and locating the Gym was even easier since she didn't have to wade through a sea of angry grass types and spores. Treehouse was an impressive sight, especially the grand staircase. The structure curved around the entirety of treehouse, white pillars that seemed to be made to look like trees holding it aloft and next to it was a sign giving information on the gym leader and who was in charge around here, and she was soon greeted by none other than the regional gym helper.

"Heh, hey there! Do I even want to know how you get to place to place so easily?" She grinned. "Anyways, I got this! Thanks for the help though!" Before he could finish giving the rest of his information on grass types, Claire headed inside.

She was greeted by another impressive sight. Were all gyms like this? Hectors wasn't super impressive, but it was in its own way. This Gym had an entirely different sort of impressiveness to it. The place was a forest in itself, with another large staircase leading up. Seeing the only path, she grinned and began running up the stairs to meet her first challenge. An Aroma Lady by the name of Tanya. Should be easy enough! Grass types had a lot of status moves. She wanted to start with Shroomish, then she'd start with her little ace.

"Alright Zeal!" She released the little fire monkey with an eager flourish. "Start it off with taunt! Follow it up with Ember!" Beating the ground with his fists eagerly, Zeal would follow through. The fight would continue much as the same way, with Zeal simply using Ember and avoiding attacks unless another Taunt was needed to stop him from using status moves. Assuming all went well, the Shroomish would be easily dealt with. However, if he became severely injured in some way, She's swap him out for Ralia and use confusion to finish off the hopefully already weakened Shroomish.

The same strategy would be used for Tangela. If Zeal was still out, simply use ember until defeated while keeping distance and avoiding Vine Whip. If Ralia was on the field or Zeal became injured, immediately switch to Lure who would begrudgingly use Gust to finish off the Tangela.

With Treeko on the field, Zeal would use Taunt once more whilst relying on Ember the entire fight again. If Lure was out, switch to Ledyba who would first use Reflect & Light Screen. He would then use a combination of Comet Punch and Tackle until Treeko fainted. If he became injured, she'd swap once more to Lure and use her to finish off Treeko with Gust.

After the battle, return and heal injured pokemon and come back.

Battle against Daisy:

Aroma Lady Daisy was up next. A Lileep? Well, good thing she already had experience with one of those!

First she'd send out Zeal once more, using Taunt to prevent it from using status moves Grass types are known for. Zeal would avoid its attacks as best he could while using Power-Up Punch to both raise his attack and deal damage until fainted. If he becomes badly injured, Claire would switch to Pip for a little battle experience. Simply use Razor leaf until Lileep fainted. If she became injured, switch to Del to finish him off with poison stings.

When she sent out the Whimsicott, if Zeal is still out simply use Taunt once more and then Ember until fainted. If Pip was out or Zeal became injured, immediately switch to Del who would use Poison Sting until Whimsicott fainted. If Del faints or becomes injured due to Gust, Switch to Ralia and use Double Team before finishing him off with Confusion using Teleport to dodge if needed.

As soon as Lombre is sent out, if Zeal or any other pokemon is out switch to Pip for more battle experience. Alternate using Growl and Razor Leaf until defeated. If she faints swap to Ritz and use Reflect and Light Screen followed by repeated use of Comet Punch until defeated. Failing that, swap to Del who would use Poison Sting until Lombre was defeated. If Del had previously been defeated, swap to Ralia once more and use Double Team and Confusion.

Of course, as soon as the battle is done, head to the pokemon center.

Battle Against Ramsey:

Send out Zeal, use Taunt when needed followed by repeated Ember use. If he faints or becomes significantly injured, immediately switch to Ritz. Use reflect, followed by repeated comet punches.

Assuming Zeal is still in play against Lefeaon, Taunt & Ember strats once more until defeated. If Ledyba is out, keep up Reflect and try to confuse once. Afterwards, repeated Comet Punches. If he faints, switch to Lure and use Gust until Lefeaon is defeated.

If Zeal is out, use Power-Up punch against the Dark/Grass type until he's defeated. If Ledyba is still out or Zeal faints, swap to Del and use Harden twice, followed by Poison Sting until defeated. If Lure is out, use Gust until defeated or she becomes injured then swap to Del and use above strategy.

Afterwards, Heal pokemon one last time before heading up and challenging the Gym.
I reeealllly shouldn't join this, but a God/Nation building RP is always fun.

I'ma make a God of Knowledge and throw some Lovecraft at ya maybe.
"Thanks, Kriev." Kiri grunted, catching the translator as the elf woman spoke. Awfully presumptuous, wasn't she? She narrowed her eyes at the elf as they walked, still wary of whatever it was she was planning and where she was taking them. Following an unknown person through a forest was sketchy at best, even more so when it seemed as though they were being hunted. Besides, who says they could trust this woman?

"Kirimik Drakat from the Elmyran Confederacy." Kiri replied, not paying much mind to whatever it was the elf was doing. Wasn't important, though it reminded her of old stories of the Aracha Shamans and their abilities to command the forests. "And why should I trust you enough to tell you what we're doing here?" She questioned. "I'll trust that you aren't inherently hostile towards us, but that doesn't mean you are our comrade. So you better start talking - and quickly before I change my mind."

Truthfully, they had already confirmed life on this planet. They should set up comms and attempt communication with the planets leaders.

@Mag Lev@BurningDaisies

The Brain-eating Shoggoth helped the Dryad to her feet as best she could. Iva was glad Nara didn't prod her for information regarding what had just happened. Easier that way that no one else knew for now. Not until she decided what she wanted to do herself. What she did know though, was that heading for a town full of people would be the best course of action. At least for her. She could appear relatively normal with her earrings. She'd just need to make sure not to get super touchy with anyone.

"Hm..." Iva thought for a moment. "...It'll be fine. I can just eat them if they say anything." That probably wasn't a joke, judging from her deadpan voice and the fact Nara knew exactly what she was. Really, Iva was internally apprehensive about it and at the same time, there was a part of her that looked forward to it. Ha, it seemed that she really had become her Avatar. So tiring. She wondered what brain actually tasted like?

"We should go." Iva continued letting go of Nara as she took a few steps in the direction the Troll had mentioned. "I could use a good meal...and I'd like to test some things." Could she really put infant brain-eaters in peoples head, for example, and would they be the same as her? Loyal, too? Or just do their own thing? She was curious. A little too morbidly curious. As well, how well could she use her abilities to control others?

Maybe this little town of Jhorm could be a place she made home.

Deaths: 1

What was this? Chieko followed the others to the main road, for the most part staying quiet until they arrived at the main road. Look at them! Those were...actual fantasy creatures!? They looked like some sort of small lizard! Oooh, she wanted to ride one! They were so cute, too! As Vasilis went off to fetch them a ride, Chieko simply watched them pass by. The trauma of earlier was slowly leaving at the sight of such relative mundane events. It was rather calming, wasn't it? But that left the question of what even happened. Somehow, they managed to escape death.

Irene bought her out of her thoughts as she mentioned their clothing. Ah, yes. It made sense they stood out a bit. In fact, now that she thought about it...standing out so much was rather embarrassing. Not arousing suspicion would be good, then. Though at the same time, standing out was something any good hero such as herself should do. Hm.

"...!" When the carriage finally arrived, Chieko had to resist going and petting it, physically refraining from doing so as Irene and Aerith both did it. Of course, she couldn't do it! Even if she wanted too! Who did they think she was? Someone that went around petting cute things? Hmph, no of course not. So regrettably, she refrained from petting the dragon even though it was clear as day she wanted too. Instead she shook her head no, doing her best not to make eye contact and got in the carriage as she fell back into her mildly Chunni tendencies.

The ride was fairly peaceful. It was a good time to collect her thoughts. Vasilis even decided to talk a little about magic! Though, he didn't seem like he'd be the best teacher. He seemed really into explosions, which she could sympathize with. Explosions were cool, and anyone who could do one was certifiably also cool, but it didn't take them long to reach their destination. She exited the carriage after the others, hopping down and tightening her scarf slightly as she observed the shopkeeper speaking to them.

...

Oh what the hell. It was the totally suspicious fox girl from earlier. Who, while adorable, was also someone she was incredibly suspicious of. Chieko didn't reply, merely gave Fritzi a completely neutral stare as she glanced over to her companions then to the clothes. Hm...what should she buy? She didn't exactly have any money on her.
