I have some reservations. This version of Angel seems vastly over-powered. I'd also like to know a little more about your plans for Warren outside of hoping to interact with PCed cosmic players. What happens if you can't do that? Some clarity on that front would be appreciated.

I read a full power blast from his wings could wipe out a planet's starfleet... I'd NEVER want that much power LOL. A couple ships maybe, not a whole damn fleet though. With his strength it wouldn't be anything too grande, 10-20 tons max lift under normal gravity. He needs the FTL speed though, otherwise it'd take him light-years to get from place to place. The main goal is just to generally toy with both the cosmic Marvel and DC characters and concepts I'm betting 90% of you have never even heard of to cement Warren as a cosmic character in this universe. Ultra the Multi-Alien anybody? The Uncreated maybe?

1) Light-years is a measurement of distance, not time.

2) Knowing obscure comic characters is my schtick.

What's that you all say? Me? Being petty and pedantic? Never.

I think on the lightyears thing, he means that things in space are so absurdly far apart that he needs to go FTL to reach them in any reasonable amount of time(EDIT: Reread the post and saw what you meant, whoops).@Omega Man, if this is the problem, maybe Archangel can instead open rifts with his powers that allow him to effectively warp-drive across the Universe?

Why not just get a ship which can also double as a base of operations?

If he travels more than roughly six trillion miles it would still be considered multiple light years. Probably a few light minutes and light seconds as well... LOL

That's... not what I said. Nor what you said.

You said it'd take Angel light-years - while referencing the amount of time it would take for travel without faster than lightspeed abilities - to get from place to place. Light-years is distance. That's like saying it would take Angel miles to get from place to place when speaking of time. What you meant was it would take decades to centuries to travel from system to system without FTL. Regardless of your speed, if you're going from a system that is (X) light-years away you'd be traveling those (X) light-years no matter how faster you're moving. Because it's a measurement of distance. Not speed.

Also, six trillion miles would be one light-year exactly. But you know that because you used Google-fu to try and show me up, despite doing so incorrectly.

I'm no longer in this game, so GL is an NPC as far as I'm concerned.

If I'm honest, this hasn't really put my reservations to bed. The second – regarding what you have planned in the event that interaction isn't possible – still seems a little unanswered. Given that, I'm not minded to approve your concept in its current form.

It's not the end of the world. There's only a week or so left in the season so there's plenty of time to flesh it out a little more.

On a topic, that Star Lord can jump on me with if he wants, I always feel like the cosmic side of these games is severely lacking in any type of gumption and rarely well executed. You more often than not just get players running around for a while, feeling lonely, trying to shoehorn their way into meeting other cosmic characters or trying to find their way to Earth.

Just my two cents.

I feel as though Cosmic Characters are great for confident writers who are looking to world build and aren't overly interested in interaction so much as they are telling their own narrative. Due to the vastness of the combined universe's space and the vagueness of most lore around cosmic elements in both DC and Marvel, there's a lot more freedom which can be overwhelming for some players.

Honestly, if Star Lord hadn't grabbed the GotG, I may have gone for them or combined them with Thor to do an 'Asgardians of the Galaxy' hybrid team.

So this just dropped. It is doing a good job as a teaser to give us a hint at what the movie is about, but gives us nothing on the villain or the main story.

Meh. I’m not in love with the trailer. Looks a lot like the first Thor movie, and I am not a fan of that at all

Only a Skrull story lets you have your hero punch the shit out of an old lady on the bus.

Obviously, the real measurement of speed is parsecs.
