Una is bright and bubbly and friendly one minute and then the next she can be dark and brooding and depressing. She can be temperamental and mercurial and she is very opinionated. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and doesn't lie. She is super observant and sarcastic to about a mean point, not that she means it but it comes out that way sometimes. She bored easily and likes to keep things moving and lively.
She sharpens her wit on fools or those she considers fools. She also loves to tease and flirt but won’t follow through if there is no emotional connection. She has a hard time relating to people who can’t keep up with someone whom should have been tested for ADHD and has but did not test positive for ADHD. She is one of those who “marches to the beat of a different drummer” type of people.

Biography:

Una was born in St. Louis, MO but was put up for adoption since her mother was underage. She was adopted as a baby by a couple that lived in San Diego, CA. They were a happy family and she wasn’t told that she was adopted till she showed signs of her powers at the age of 13. Her parents turned her over to the school when things got out of hand about a year later.
She had a pretty normal childhood other than finding out that she was adopted at the age of 10. She keeps in contact with her adoptive parents realizing that they didn’t do anything wrong and really nothing changed her personal life, other than she has powers that she can’t control.

Una’s powers are illusion based, unfortunately she hasn’t been able to bring them out for long unless she is unconscious. Unconscious her dreams come to life, as well as her nightmares. The illusions are physically interactive, meaning you can touch them and they can interact with you. She has recently been taking Hypnocil, a drug that suppresses dreams, but wants another way to control the illusions. Ideally she wants to be able to keep her dreams to herself.

Jocelyn is friendly and a good listener as her current profession entails. She is very withdrawn when it comes to herself. She has trust issues with others, men in particular. Biography:

Jocelyn Victoria Beatrix Harmon was born in 1933 and on her 10th birthday she fell down stairs getting to a bomb shelter in the town house they were living in. her mother broke her ankle for all of a minute. Jocelyn used her powers to heal her mother. As her powers presented themselves her parents were horrified. Turning her over to an agency that stated that they’d take care of her and that the “incident” would never be spoken of. Jocelyn was taken to Canada and experimented on as a side project of the Weapon X Project. She was genetically manipulated hundreds of times but the only one that took was a healing factor from another experiment. She was then put through more experimentation to see how well the healing both her original and the added gene worked.
Needless to say she was tortured and saw others tortured. She escaped as one of the other experiments destroyed the place and somehow by luck was not discovered. She was 16 at the time but looked like she was 12. She exhibited the trauma of the incident by not being able to overcome a mental block that kept her at the mental age of how she looked; no older than 12. She was to be scrapped, killed since she was of no use as a weapon, and the day that this was scheduled was the day that Wolverine went on his rampage in the Weapon X Facility and broke out. As the commotion started she was tossed into a cryogenic capsule and incidentally forgotten. Her chamber was meant to only hold her for a few hours and to contain her but she was forgotten and only recently has the system run out of power.
Waking up she found herself in a cave that apparently the chamber had fallen into. Getting out of the cave finally she wandered to a major city and started asking questions. Shocked that she had been in cryostasis for about 65 years and that it was 2013. She was picked up by social services in Alberta and sent to live in a group home. Being the resourceful gal she is Jocelyn did independent studies and excelled learning quickly and soaking it up like a sponge. She got through all the grades she was lacking but wanted the high school experience and was looking for a high school to take her in the States. While researching high schools she did some digging to find out what had become of the facility that she was at. She happened to stumble across a non-specific article about genetic research and the possible link with the Nazi Party in WWII. She convinced one of the other girls in the group home to hack into a few files and what she found would change her life forever. She had a name of someone that was in a Secret Program called Weapon X Project.
She was able to finally track down what happened to her in Canada and after almost 70 years she has a clue and that is the name “James Howlett”. When that name lead her on a wild goose chase she almost gave up till she happened to see a young man that looked eerily like him. Stalking the family she saw and heard the name Logan and followed his trail to the Academy. Where she applied.

Tonic’s abilities are a healing touch and a healing factor. This does not mitigate pain from the injuries but as long as the subject is still alive; heart beating even faintly, she can heal them. Her healing factor can heal non-vital injuries within minutes but takes longer on mortal wounds. She is practically immune to poisons, diseases, and aging; which is reduced to a fraction of what it should be. She seems to age at about ¼th the normal rate at present from what one can tell. With her being frozen we have yet to actually see. This may have slowed the process even more. At present she looks 16 and effectively is since she was frozen at that age.
Unfortunately it is also practically impossible for her to get drunk or high; she tried that route to deal with her nightmares. This also applies to fatigue poisons which gives her increased stamina and endurance. Which in turn allows her to run for longer periods of time, not faster just longer.

She's a great character, and I like her ties to both Logan and his son that I play, Deon. Though I can see how this poses as a bit of a problem.

In the OP, it does state that teachers will be NPC'd (as needed) by one of the three (co)GM's. I apologize if this wasn't clear before, but we currently aren't taking on any faculty members for this RP. We really want to focus on the drama and the power development of the students. But there may be some ways around this.

As I have an Asgardian that's well over 800, I don't exactly see her age being an issue. The issue, moreso, is how developed she would be at the current time. Asgardians age differently, and slower, which makes Soren (my son of Thor) very much still a teenager/young adult. So how do we bypass this with your character?

Well there's the good ol' Captain America way. Popsicles! Or she could have been abducted by some organization that is looking to study mutants like her, which would have had her locked up for some time and keeping her away from the real world.

Or hell, combine the two. Abducted popsicle!

Something along these lines would help to keep her power levels down to that of a still-learning realm.

And yeah... the expounding on the personality and backstory thing. Much importantando. Ditto to the max.

She was turned over to the Weapon X Program by her family. She was experimented on and they were able to splice Logan's healing factor into her genes...I'm working on explaining the science behind it but I like the whole frozen in a time capsule...I was thinking more along the lines of her having a trauma that put a mental block up but that was getting to heavy. Besides having her freak about the world being not so 1940's would be pretty fun to play.

As the song played Siobhan heard not one voice but two. Both vaguely familiar; both different. Looking out over the crowd she met a pair of what her favorite author would refer to as "fine eyes". He was tall and lean and singing with her. She smiled and titled her head quizzically as if to say "You know this song too?". As the song ended and Ren hustled over to where some bundle of energy was calling for a doctor. Siobhan stood up and trailing a hand over the piano she coquettishly put it between her and the tall dark stranger. "Well hello there. To whom do I owe an introduction to this fine evening?" Her heart was racing as she leaned lightly on the piano.

She had noted the disturbance and that it had pulled Ren away from her and getting to know him better. Not to mention that Ashton had run that way too and since she didn't have a valid reason to go over there she thought it better to stay where she was to keep out of the way. She'd catch the gish of it later. Music, art and dance she could handle. Medical emergencies were for professionals. If someone wanted a Rembrandt touched up she could do that, but she couldn't patch Rembrandt up himself. Not to mention he was dead anyway. She glanced over at the commotion and noted a hysterical gentleman in...was that cardboard?!?!? It was!!

She sighed and shaking her head turned her attention back to the stranger on the other side of the piano and smiled invitingly. She was damn well going to dance at some point this evening she'd be damned if she got dressed up for nothing. Besides tall dark and handsome was just the foil for Ren's blondness.

Plus she would probably run into Paige again at some point so having attractive men on hand could come in handy. She had seen her a few times with some rotund Latino gentleman and a flashy Indian and Siobhan thought she'd save Paige at some point tonight. Maybe she could get one of these gents to dance with Paige then plead with the two hanging around Paige that she needed some girl talk and save Paige that way. Yes that sounded good add a drink or few more in and she might just have a really good night.

I have a couple of issues with Jocelyn . Being 85 years old, she wouldn't be a student. The academy is aimed at the youth- those still learning their powers and such. Jocelyn has had her abilities for a good long time- she'd know how to use them, right?

And where was she during the wars? What was she doing?

To be honest, she's more fit to be medical staff at the school more than a student.

And I should have requested this earlier, but perhaps a little more information for both of the CS's on personality would be good.

Can we put her in the position on the Medical Staff? I'd love that. I can tweak her backstory if you want to me to make her younger. That was pretty much how I originally envisioned her but I am willing to work with it to fit her in. I have played her in a Mutants and Masterminds campaign and that was a cross worlds; DC and Marvel where she was a geneticist for Luther Cor that went rogue when she found out what her research was doing. So I have done some tweaking before. I just really love my Tonic <3 <3

I'd be more than happy to outline their personalities better for you. I did the stupid thing of being up way too late and trying to work on an intense awesome mind blowing character...which of course didn't happen...sad day.
