Two more days to a year that I'm not supposed to be counting. The little Tom Hanks in my soul is marking days without you. Castaway on an island surrounded by an ocean of tears getting deeper daily.

Two months and a week. I miss you. This sucks. Is it bad that I pretend that you PCS'd and will be back before long? Then I remember you're gone and won't be back even if I wished it. And I do. Daily.

Two months, four days. I miss you. Can't listen to Mike and the Mechanics "In The Living Years" anymore. It came on at work yesterday as the last song and I cried.

Bio

Ugh...I hate this part. So I'm super into Sailor Moon...which no one else is...and that's okay. I also really love Items, Escaflowne, Vampire Knight, Fushigi Yugi, Ah My Goddess, K Dramas, Chinese and Tiwanise Dramas as well. I torture people by making them read the TV.

Oh this is where I tell you I'm American...and I just lost a few people but oh well. Trust me if I could afford to live overseas I would. So yeah...that's me.

Well I couldn't play Tonic here...and why aren't you playing in it yet then?

Still taking applications? I couldn't help myself...you used David Tennant as the head master...love that man.

Ethan raised an eyebrow at Reya’s protesting looking her square in the eye. “Me thinks the lady doth protest too much. But that’s okay Marcus can do better. Unless you disagree? If not then why do you protest? He’s good looking, has a job, sings well, plays the guitar very well. All around he’s a damned good catch. Unless you’re holding out for someone famous?” He gave her a hard look and his voice made it seem like the winter storm was a warm rain. “Madam I am taken and with you crushing him as much as you did good luck with getting any other male to look at you twice tonight. No doubt the entire place heard and saw your display. Next time take others into consideration before you hurt someone. You could have at least crushed him at the end of the night after he preformed.” Ethan turned away from her and watched Marcus preform.

For the rest of the night Ethan deliberately ignored Reya. He teased and engaged Marinalia, Xia and Marcus keeping their spirits up. He bought shots for them when she went to the bathroom and went out of his way to be as rude to her as he thought she had been to Marcus. He looked over at her pointedly at the end of the night. “Feeling sucks doesn’t it?” He waved at the others and walked off to the car and drove home.

Siobhan’s breath hitched as Joel ran his hand through her hair and his comment of not promising too much made her smile. He surprised her by picking her up and she held on loosely trusting him not to drop her as he opened the door and placed her in the driver’s seat. Then he helped her across to the passenger side.

He prompted her to explain the story. Siobhan sighed and laughed softly. “It’s so cliche. I’ll set the scene for you. Lunch time at the University. The cafeteria is peopled with students that, I swear to god, looked like they were reenacting a scene from Mean Girls. Now I’m not friendless but I like to keep clear of the pretentious jerks that populate that school. Case in point, the stalker. So I get my lunch and I go to class early. Well my solitude is intruded upon by a group of swaggering peacocks. Who were arguing that a carburetor is better than fuel injection. I let it go on for a few minutes but it was enough that I had to interrupt. Idiots with no concept of science. I was told that I’m a girl and I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’d had about enough of the fools and insinuated that their gasp on science was less than Jane Goodall’s chimps. Which I had to explain and once I did a challenge was issued. The wager of 5k was at the time enough and till I had my car. Somewhere along the boy became obsessed and it was starting to scare me.” Siobhan watched out the window as they grabbed coffee. “You live you learn. Seeing the signs is like living in the past and I’m not keen to relive that hell.” She looked back at Joel and grimaced. “I have taken up most of the conversation. So tell me what it is about Sol that you have lived here all your life? Is there some buried treasure that you’re looking for? Some old One Eyed Willy legend that you have yet to discover?”

They drove around and enjoyed their coffee and Joel gave her some history on Sol City. She was always a sucker for a good story. She really enjoyed his company and they just seemed to fit together well. After her third jaw cracking yawn they decided that it was time to head home. Siobhan gave Joel a quick kiss in the parking lot. “There is a saying too much of a good thing and I don’t trust myself. Besides I have a feeling you know all the right buttons to push. Good night.”
-Wednesday Lunch-

Siobhan met her parents and Paige at a cafe in Riverside. Introductions were made and when asked what Paige did for a living they were on the subject of what her parents did for a living as well. Siobhan looked back and forth in the verbal tennis that ensued between her mother and Paige after some things were divulged and hinted at. Siobhan kept her face neutral knowing that whatever was on Paige’s mind she was only hitting the tip of the iceberg and for once someone was not being fully forthcoming with her mother. Her eyes would cut to her father now and again. He would nod and “humm” now and again but he didn’t see it either. Well she wasn’t going to tip Paige’s hand but something was bugging her. Her posture was relaxed on the outside but little things made red flags go off in Siobhan’s head. She doubted that anyone but Milo and herself would be able to see it.

Paige was good she had her mother giving her number and the house number halfway through lunch. By the end her father had added his cell in case she needed anything. When boyfriends were brought up Siobhan caught flack for not introducing them to Joel yet. Her mother stressed that she wanted to meet him and Milo. They had practically adopted Paige. At her mother’s dropped hints about a dinner with all of them Siobhan rolled her eyes. Lunch over they went their separate ways.Siobhan handed Paige a box with heels in it. “Cause no one should wonder if they are wonderful.” She smiled and hugged Paige before they left.
-Thursday After Brunch-

Siobhan practically ground her teeth as she listened to Alexandra whine in the car on the way to the manor. Whine!! The woman was in her late thirties and she was whining like a spoilt teenager. “Fine!! I give!! There isn’t another place that has the potential to set the right atmosphere for the collection. Yes I know you looked and called around. I will smile and make nice. I refuse to listen to a grown woman whine so stop.” She shot Alexandra a look that could kill.

As they were pulling up to the place she sneered. Yes this fits them. Overly extravagant and the property taxes would bankrupt anyone who wasn’t possibly padding their income with illegal. I don’t have to think nice things just say nice things. Siobhan stepped out of the car and followed Maria on a tour and listened to Alexandra and Maria plan agreeing on certain things and disagreeing on others. No band, a string quartet on the balcony above the main area fine with tasteful soothing music was fine. The acoustics up there were perfect for that, Maria’s input. Alexandra had the quartet covered. The ballroom for the collection, of course. Drinks in the conservatory. The garden would have to be tented and heated since they were looking at catering to about 200 people give or take a dozen or so. Last minute tickets could pop up. The caterers had enough for over 300 just in case. They were personal friends of Siobhan. Ginny’s mother and father. They always catered anything that Siobhan did, and she didn’t let them cut her a deal on it either. They were flying in tonight and staying with her parents. Siobhan heard Alexandra mentioning them and what time they would be over before the exhibit.

Later that afternoon Siobhan called Joel. “Hey sexy.” She said after he picked up. “So you wanna come over tomorrow? Just Blue Moon, pizza and a movie. Nothing fancy. Besides I am going to get all that fancy shit tomorrow. Plus I need a night to unwind and talk.”

Read through the first 2 pages, and, well, really like your character so far 😉

*Blushes* Thank you. I've had her for years now. I'm really glad I got to play her here.
I spend part of my flight reading up on everyone's characters. Now I've begun reading the entire IC, and *puh* it's a lengthy novel 😁

Sorry love. We post slowly but they're long.

Done with my hair I drain the bathtub wrapped in a towel on my head and around me. I dig in my bag and get an oversize t-shirt and clean underwear to sleep in. Throwing them on I walk out of the bathroom and stop at the doorway. I could swear I just heard the window open behind me. I keep towel drying my hair and glance to my left at the mirror and see someone in all black just as a gun is put to the back of my neck.

“Hands behind your head love. Nice and easy.” The man's voice was slightly accented English in a muddled sort of way. I raise my hands slowly keeping the towel over my left hand. “Drop the towel love.” I drop the towel hoping that he has no skin exposed since I know that the gun has to go.

Unfortunately my hair is in my line of sight and I hear the clank of cuffs. Times up. Immediately I turn and with my right hand twist the gun toward him. His brown eyes widen in shock as I release the clip out the bottom of the gun and as it hits the floor my foot slides it under the bed in the dark room now behind me. I hear it hit the wall with a dull thud. One in the chamber. I slip under his arm and struggling with the gun grunting as he tries to hip check me into the counter in the bathroom. My ass slides across the counter and I kick him in the ribs. He turns and fires clipping me in the shoulder.

The round goes through and through the pain instant and I hiss but that's lost to the shattering of the mirror. Now we have glass to worry about. I grunt as I get my feet under me on the counter. Glass in my feet that I know my body will push out as I heal, for now blood smears the counter.

Sometimes it's good to be small. I think as I crouch on the counter about to launch myself at him. I have enough room to do that since I'm so small. I see him watching in fascination as my body heals the damage and I dive at him knocking him prone and into the dark bedroom.

He clocks me good in the right ear my head ringing. Apparently he has some fight left in him I shake my head as he tosses me off him like a rag doll. Sometimes it backfires to be little. I roll away and spring up. “Right. Were you raised by wolves? Never hit a woman, much less shoot her. Bloody hell that hurt!” All my practice at trying to hide my accent fails as I square up and plant my feet.

He springs up and pulls out a syringe and un-caps it. “They said that there might be one of you running around here. Come quietly love and I won't have to knock you out.”

I see red as he says this. All my years experimented on leaves a bad taste in my mouth for drugs. Besides he'd need more than that to keep me under. My metabolism and regeneration would be too much for that pathetic excuse for a dose. I sneer at him as he advances. “As a friend of mine would so eloquently put. Wrong choice bub.” I deliver the last line just like another Weapon X project would. One that I'm well acquainted with. I advance to meet him and as he moves to plunge the syringe into my arm I wrist throw him on to the floor. Plucking the syringe from his fingers I jab it in his thigh through his clothes and as he hisses I plunge the stopper down and pull it out tossing the damned thing across the room. “No more killing. Ring your friends when you get up. I think I'll invite them to tea deary.”

He struggled a bit then passed out. Going through his person finding out that he was apparently Shield. Bloody brilliant. Some explanation is in order from an “Ex-Agent” I just met. I found a phone and called mine. Putting it back in his pocket I went over and grabbed mine. Dialing the number I got voicemail for a Hunter. “Ah yes Hunter not much of one are you? Do more research next time. This is Tonic. The blonde you tried to pick up last night after I had you on the floor. Free advice. Next time stay down. Have your phone on I'll be in touch. Be glad I did not turn you over to the demon. Cheerio darling. Kiss kiss.” I end the call and pad back to the bathroom to grab my bag as a large black man comes through the window.

He looks aghast at the blood then he sees me. His eyes narrow and, hand to god, looks like he gets bigger. “That is not his it's mine. Make this easy get him and get out. He is asleep on the floor. He tried to drug me I took offense and he wound up taking a nap.” I snatched my bag and ran for the door to the hallway tossing it on as I went. Pulling the door open I skidded out into the hallway and into four more Shield Agents. Me alone with these yahoos. Murphy's Fucking Law.

Siobhan was thrilled at the look she caught at her peripheral vision from Joel. Frustrating that he looked away. Sighing internally she focused on his next words the fact that he didn’t want to head toward home just yet. He offered coffee and she smiled then he mentioned the tale of how she got a stalker. She rolled her eyes and laughed. “Only if you promise not to disparage my character. I won’t hold you to not laughing because it is comical. But I warn you Joel if you laugh too much I know of ways to silence you.”

Her eyes sparkled with mischief as they paid the bill and she walked backwards to the Jeep mock glaring at him. Leaning against the drivers door of the Jeep she looked up at him innocently. “So no making fun of me and not too much laughing.” She smirked and grabbed the edges of his jacket and pulled him close. She stood on her tiptoes and nipped his chin lightly. He hadn’t shaved and she found the sensation of stubble...interesting. I wonder how far I can push him…
