Sorry for vanishing on all of you. Not gonna lie, I think I had a mental breakdown and just wanted to vanish off the face of the planet. I'm all good now and I feel like a god damn god, so I'm gonna try to get this show back on the road. If you want to rejoin (some of you didn't respond last time), do so by just getting the feeling and popping in. If you don't want to continue, hey, that's fine by me. I know I've been a poopoobumbum GM by vanishing, so no hard feelings.

As everyone had continued - some preparing to delve deeper into the cavernous abyss, some wary of a strange man, and some preparing to destroy the lair of a goblin - an inexplicable feeling washed over them. At first, it was subtle. A slight tingle at the nape of the neck. It quickly turned from a slight feeling to overwhelming. A coarse case of dread - as if the world was going to end at this very moment. Suddenly, it felt as though one's soul was being torn from existence. In this pain, it was nigh impossible to move.

Vision began to shift - the world seemed to invert in color, but still remained the same. Every source of light became dark and dark became bright. It was impossible to focus one's eyes - the world seemed to rapidly change. In a brief moment of lucidity, one could see themselves - their body continuing to move and act as though what they were seeing was merely a hallucination.

However, that was not the case.

As a creeping darkness seemed to wash over one's vision, a bright static seemed to fill the world. Suddenly, the pain stopped. Rather, there was no more feeling. It felt as though one's body was ethereal - a dream. Difficult to move, as if submerged in water.

This lucidity brought forth vision - whatever one had been doing was gone. This was no longer Alma. This was something else. The sky was a deep purple, a large white crack flowing through the middle. There was no sun, nor was there a moon. Despite this, a bright lite seemed to radiate on the land.

It was difficult to see. The ground was a fine white silt - the grains being infinitesimally small - that seemed to whip around the air as though it was blown by wind, only to fly back in the opposite direction seconds later. There was no wind. At least, nothing you could feel. Whatever the case was, the constant motion was unsettling, as though whatever this was - was alive.

Following the land, there seemed to be ruins everywhere. Long buried, the head of a familiar statue - Sirris. Beside it, a figure, constantly praying to the submerged relic. Opposite to whatever that being was a deep tower, seeming impervious to the ground. While one could see the bottom, the top seemed to be infinite - reaching deep into the purple sky.

However, despite the dreamlike feel of this world, a subtle hint to the world came to fruition - the ground seemed to constantly shake. A low hymn. The silt constantly moved, causing one's feet to slowly sink in. It would be for the best if everyone kept moving, lest they get swallowed by the silt.
Local GM forgets to press Post Reply two days ago.

<Snipped quote by SilverDawn>

Okay, will edit and post to characters. Also, I thought it might be amusing to just have them run into him in the fog xD

How does....Tolbrine Atwater sound?

EDIT: almost forgot to ask: weeb art required as character image? or is a good description sufficient?

Tolbrine is fine. I'd rather there be weeb art because I like actually using the images people use.

Are we waiting for the GM to post an update or us new guys to post intros? Should I go ahead and post my char joining NobodiesHero?

Feel free to introduce yourself. I'll probably retcon Derrien out and replace him with Tolbrine (if he wants to be on that mission).
@SilverDawn You've kind of forgotten about the Goblin burrow mission. The only two people left for it have already posted, we're waiting on you.

Yeah, Etranger PM'd me that they were dropping out. It's pretty much just you on that mission. No idea what to do for that, considering how just doing a 1x1 for pretty much the entire mission would be not fun for me. I could either: wait a bit, then just have you come back once all of the missions are being complete or these new people could create a new group for a completely different mission and I can just say that the goblin burrows took a bunch less time. Depends on how fast the new people get their stuff done.

TL;DR but it's one of the most filled applications

It's good, shove it in the character tab whenever.

I don't see many problems, besides his name. We already have a Kor(gath), so I would prefer if it was changed. Fae do exist and they are indeed malevolent. Probably won't be joining any in-progress party, considering that one is in the middle of a cave and the other is in the middle of the ULTRA FOG.
@SilverDawn Makes sense! Im open to filling any roles that are needed, what kind of type would be best for the narrative?

Just do whatever you want. I don't want a bunch of multiples of the same type of person, though.

Fell asleep before finishing last night. Finished today. If you need a slightly deranged vagabond with skills than can be tailored to requirement, I'd like to run him again.

Either PM him to me or post him in this OOC.
Oooh love the Made in Abyss vibe goin' on with the Lord of Dawn and Iron legends and the Artifact business.

Read up on the IC and OOC, and I see that yer thread has a few members dropped and an open status. Is the adventure open for a neurotic, punctual orc female support mage (detection spells and lore knowledge and the like) or is another type of character needed?

Well, we do have someone who focuses on detection spells and another one who focuses on knowledge, so I'd rather not put another detectomancer in this.

also someone gets it

"Frankly, I don't know," Remi said, her face nervously close to the bloodstains, "wouldn't really know until I see the autopsy. But, I do have some guesses. Blunt trauma doesn't always mean blunt weapon. Chances are, they hit their head on the way down."

Remi backed away from the bloodstain. It was undoubtedly from a sharp instrument. But that didn't really matter - a sharp instrument could range from a kitchen knife to a quinque to a piece of broken glass. She approached the ladder in the alley. Looking up, there was the fire escape attached to one building - of course, missing the ladder.

"But there being a broken fire escape could make this case a mess. Say someone was fleeing from someone and they are in an apartment: out they go through the fire escape, they run down the steps, reach the bottom. They try to get the ladder down so they can climb down, but the thing's too old to move. They hit it as hard as it can, and it breaks off. They have to jump and break their legs to get away. Otherwise, they're trapped with the killer."

At that point, Remi shrugged. "Just a dumb guess, though. I'd need the autopsy to see what's likely to have happened," she said before pausing. "Say, did you see any convenience stores that are near this alley?"

Thanks to Granoda's leadership, the trip to your destination was long, arduous, but safe. The noises in the fog seemed to come and go, making the four hour walk extremely stressful. However, the fog seemed to be lifting. The thick air seemed to disperse into a subtle haze. Out in the distance, no less than ten minutes away, was the village.

As one approached the village, a large plume of smoke and fire became visible. However, the small wood huts seemed to be untouched by the fire. Instead, the large pyre seemed to be placed in the center of the village square. There, however, was a man tending to the flame. Clad in thick black cloths and wearing a white bird mask, this man was undoubtedly an outsider. From the crackles of the flame and the shifting of the fuel inside, the unknown man was unaware of the presence of others. He continued on with his business, stoking the flame and pushing the logs inside around.

Beneath his feet seemed to be a man wrapped and bound tightly in cloth. Not a single bit of his flesh was exposed. Not even Diana could feel a breadth of life exuding from the cloth-covered figure - not a breath or movement. The outsider continued with his work, unaware of the group behind him.

As the group of six Sahuagin were slaughtered, it became apparent - the munching of the beasts were the only thing one could hear. The echoes of the adventurer's voices seemed to reverberate in the cave, coming back as faint traces. The question was - why was it that it was so quiet? The loud snarling of Sahuagin was expected to come in response, but there was no noise. The pitch dark of the cave made any further a mystery. It would be a good idea to get torches for the exploration. Though, Alexander should have remembered another important fact about Sahuagin - they're rather flammable when dry.
