@Vega7285

I though the days of this rp being a dark magical girls show was over, but you have single handily turned us around and made it go full Symphogear.

That is amazing and I love it.

"You lied! Yes! You lied! Beautiful~ Homeworld gems ARE here!"

I wasn't Lying, they didn’t come for me when I emerged. They didn’t come for me...

100 years and when it came down to it only a coincidence had resulted in her crossing paths with this Tugtupite, if she had chosen anywhere else to stay, or not decided to go to sleep she would have stayed abandoned, cast off, forgotten. Yet here they were, she could do what she was made for, after all this time she would belong. Suffice to say Howlite was conflicted, her innate loyalty for her creators and need to be part of something greater fighting against her disillusionment from and resentment for homeworld.

Clinohumite’s sisters fate was a prime example of why she did not have good impressions of homeworld, the fact they had presumably lost the war didn’t help either and apparently the gem was here for ‘recruiting’, which implied that there were other options. Of course those options had yet to appear and she was currently trapped down here with this gem, the presumably loyal super soldier Clinohumite and the confused Indocolite that had just appeared. She had no power for her kit and was outnumbered 4 -1 by Gems larger than her, taking them on did not seem like a good Idea. Despite her dithering there was only one option, to approach try and find out some more information, seeing as it was unlikely she was getting out of here on her own, and then to see what came of it. But first...

While the Indocoloite… While Marnie bombarded the Tugtupite with questions, Howlite casually approached one of the other giant mechanical spider that were roaming the area and then sneakily extended on of the wire like tendril of her hair to touch the bot. Within the next second she had run through and understood most of its systems and more importantly convinced the other drones linked to it that nothing was wrong. While presumably they would notice if it started acting weird, like for example running off with her riding it, they would probably not consider her briefly taking a cable out of the front mounted ring and attaching it to the powersupply of the spider bot hostile, particularly when the botts many limbs mostly hid her from their view. With it’s several thousand years of technical advancement over the devices she had made the bot hardly noticed she had leached off enough power to charge her equipment again.

She decoupled the wire and slid down her visor, the front briefly displaying a tumbling hourglass as it booted up before the 5 ‘eyes’ on the front appear, currently dim so as to not reveal her location. Her eyes safely hidden behind the protective screen she enabled infrared night vision, the top eye sending out light rays in a non visible spectrum, allowing her to see a high resolution, if monochrome, version of the cavern without also making her extremely visible to all the others present.

She then nonchalantly wandered over to the little group of Cymophane, Marnie, Tugtupite and Clinohumite, now much more confidant behind her protective screen.

...Who is that voice behind us?

Howlite, reporting for duty.

She announced, before sweeping her gaze towards the direction Cymophane was pointing in, switching to a visual spectrum for now, the beam of light shining out into the darkness, probably Illuminating Seraphinite, Sodalite and anyone else nearby as it hunted around the Kindergarten for the source of the sound.
The ship arrived in real-space, the journey having been fortuitously uneventful and so the bees celebrated/commemorated the successful voyage with a few more ceremonies/rituals/tasks mainly involving diagnostics on the flasks, cleaning out the ghost room, you could get good money for ectoplasm if you could find the right people and finally those bees who were in charge of the engine and the knowledge about the unreal all got drunk in celebration of not being attacked by giant unreal Bee-eaters.

Up on the bridge the phone started ringing, the captain bees were currently scrambling about making sure they weren't about to hit anything or be arrested while they awaited the pilot’s arrival. Some of them acknowledged Vanessa’s sparkling clean arrival with a hasty good morning as they whizzed past. Finally some went to pick up the phone as the mind began to manifest in the 20 odd bees currently buzzing around the bridge, a strange noise that sounded like a psychic presence giving a yawn and a stretch could be heard as the Mind got ready to lead the odd band of space friends once more.

”Good morning Vanessa. You look like you got up bright and early. I must admit would not have taken you for a morning person” they greeted the currently present crew member before they began the rather odd method of answering the phone.

A two bees arrived, dressed up like they worked in a callcenter, who buzzed up to the phone as it was lifted off the set, one going to the mouthpiece and the other to the ear piece. The dial was spun to 9 as instructed and in an immense act of willpower all of the bees quieted their usual chatter and the bee at the mouthpiece spoke to the caller. Alone.

"You have reached the Quest For Flavour, an Interplanetary Space Friends (Brought to you by Henderson’s Ribs) affiliated vessel, how may we help you today"

On odd thing about The Will’s manner of speaking was that it did not work through most types of communication devices as it was in fact physically speaking to the individual’s minds rather than creating sound. This normally worked, even barely intelligent machines like the server at the restaurant could be spoken to, however a telephone does not have near the complexity to have a psychic presence and thus the Mind was helpless to do anything other than have a specially trained duo to operate the phone.

For convenience, because rotary phones do not have a speaker mode, the mind would communicate whatever the caller said to the second bee to all those present, repeating it word for word so they would not have to explain the call later later.
@rocketrobie2
Do you think it would be fair to assume the 10 drones have arrived and are just milling about the area.
If so Howlite may just wander off for a moment to introduce one to her hair and then get it to lend her some of it's juice.
@rocketrobie2@Gutshot@The1Rolling1Boy

I guess if our scene is moving on without @HaltingBlooper I will make a post as well.

The bashfulness the AI was kind of adorable, the Mind decided it would stop its questioning before it caught fire from embarrassment. Not that the Ai was blushing mind you, if parts of the ship or bot where to go bright red that would be… well it would actually be an indication that it was about to catch fire. so it was a good thing it did not exhibit that part of the emotional display.

”Ah, I see. Well good luck with furthering your relationship via ventriloquism. I will speak with you and the crew when we arive, for now I am going to get some down time. See you on the other side”

The purple lights faded from the Bees antenna, the Will having gone back to it’s equivalent of sleeping and so the Bees in the cockpit returned to what the where doing, namely mucking about or watching the subspace go by. Down in the rest of the ship the rest of the bees did the same, or took a nap depending on how busy they had been so far today.

The bees that had been looking for a trenchcoat had found one, as well as a pair of grabber sticks, a balloon, two peg legs and a felt tip pen and were busy working away in a buzz of activity, preparing for some kind of plan they had made up.

Character impressions:

Voice@Jeyma
She feels sorry for the woman, for the stigma her modifications bring her and for her cycle of decay, that someone would be so stupid as to put some unreliable piece of tech in some one and not ensure it was removable is a disgrace to Advent’s field.
Shifting personality is complicated, but their combined chipper attitude and academic background means Advent find her rather easy to get along with while she is on the up and up, though this may not be reciprocated.
As she descends the nature of her work would probably drive a wedge between them faster than the others and Advents attempts to bridge this divide probably have mixed results.

Zer0 @Skyswimsky
Finds it somewhat ironic that the old men want Advent to have nothing to do with the young protege yet have forcibly placed here in a more dangerous situation than her Painstalker kidnappers. If they work together she keeps a close eye on their young support personnel, either personally if she is acting as medic or through a minion if she is on the front lines because the teenager really should not be here and she gets the impression that Zer0 might have left if not for her promise to her Gramps.

Hex@Traitor
A fellow Painstalker, melee fighter and minion user. Advent wishes her creatures where as resilient as Glav, though the complicated control system and free will of the beast seem inferior to her magitechnology based command and control system. Personally she seems like she could be fun to be around, a sense of humor(even if it is snark based) adds some levity to the grim bunch, though her previous gang affiliation is somewhat concerning. Advent specifically went to great lengths to avoid being recruited to any of those violent groups, so it is unlikely they have had any prior run ins with one another.

Warthog@SilverDawn
She finds the former Policus attitude to others rather inspirational, they are here with a genuine desire to protect people from the nightmares, something that seems lacking among most of the rest (including herself, though she is trying to change that). She tries to laugh off his little friendly fire incidents, suggesting she replace his eyes with something better but is some what worried he is trying to secretly do her in. The fact that in their former career they would have done so without hesitation does not help dissuade her from this worry, neither does their rather friendly attitude with the resident psychopathic assassin End, indicating he may not be the pillar of justice as they appeared to be at first glance. She can't argue with how useful the firepower he brings is though, so it is probably worth the risk to work with him.

Runner@Skyswimsky
As a Painstalker they are naturally untrusting of the former Prohibitum Agent, though at least this one realizes there are more dangerous things in the world than Painstalkers. Has a similar worry of being shot in the back as she has with Warthog, tough at least this guy hasn’t tried yet. They do not get along well, in their former lives they would have been directly at odds and the tension in the air is palpable, though Runner probably should worry more about the other Painstalkers who actually have (other people's)blood on their hands.

End @ERode
This one is a mess, if there was anyone the above two should be worried about it was this little psychopath and she was often surprised by their willingness to work with someone who was the epitome of what made Painstalkers dangerous. If End had ever done hits against other Painstalkers Advent may have been warned/told about End by her contacts in her previous life and as such is generally cautious around the assassin. Personally she finds the woman’s thrill seeking and lack of moral fiber a dangerous mix, she is worried that End is liable to screw up a job or worse turn on her allies simply for the thrill of it.

I just realized I am an idiot who read the time wrong. its 9 in the evening not 9 in the morning. I don't know how I did that when the intro specifically mentions it being after hours and dusk approaching. probably by reading said intro late at night and only rereading the bits below that seance setting the next day, having decided on what I was going to do based on that incorrect reading. my apologies for that, I have corrected my post.
@Archmage MC

Those are two sadistically hard platforms, I have played the first level of Boshy and I think at some point I may have binge watched a lets play of it as well. Mainly I remember it for the cool end song. Obviously I never got there, or anywhere close, but it is neat to listen to.
