Is it safe to assume this RP won't be going anywhere? 'cause I'll be unsubscribing from it now, if the game ever resumes, someone, shoot me a mention and I'll be here at the same time.

@Shin

Thanks for the replies, they'll help me avoid some slips and gauge how far into the Rule of Cool territory I can go, like I said. You don't have to worry about the size of them, it's the contents that matter.

Also, thanks for accepting my character.

I feel really tempted to do a "crossbreed" between an Axe and an A-10, for the ultimate flying tank. As for the different between a 36mm auto cannon shaped like a huge rifle and a 30mm Gatling cannon, I guess it's just a matter of style. Tactically speaking, it would have an insanely higher rate of fire and higher velocity rounds, when compared to CAU standard armament. Stylish and powerful all the same.
Well, even thought it's Winter here, it's been good up to now.

It's filled with much caramel at the moment.

You don't need to hide your perverted grin, y'know?
@KoL

Stop making me jealous of those fancy graphics of yours ಠ_ಠ

I'll teach you how to do that when you get back. Like I said, it's not even half as hard as it looks like. All you need is GIMP and Paint, a fancy looking font and textures.

And since Windel is still off on his well deserved vacation, i'll be abstaining from this round to be the impartial mediator of any conflict that emerges which can not be solved with IC violence. Have fun ~

Here's my character again:

I didn't changed much on her, I was just waiting until the OOC was out to see if I'd need to, but I don't think that I missed anything. By the way, while I personally like soft colors, like teal much more, Itsuko... erm, 00017 is obviously more of a Yellow person.

Now that we are set, let me say that I enjoyed that timeline you did, not only it looked like something you'd see at an Ace Combat game, but also the fact that you included some of the background I provided to my character was a pleasant surprise.

Oh, lastly, I have some questions:

- I wonder about to what point my statement about planes having greater strategic value in Close Air Support/Bombing missions is accurate? I can see CAUs turning Attack Helicopters and planes like the A-10 (a serious shame, since this is my favorite ground attacker) very obsolete, but what about their role on bombing?

- Yet on the topic of the A-10, just in case I do a secondary character (which I'm not 100% sure yet), would a CAU be able to pack a GAU-8? A positive reply would seriously make me considerate a mecha pilot as a second character.

- If the above is true, this question is pertinent so, how do CAU's deal with recoil from the humongous guns they pack? I suppose that it's using the same mechanics they use to deal with the obscenely high G-force their polit would be subject because of the CAU's hyper-maneuverability (probably some stuff about their alien organ ignoring momentum as it seems to be able to)? In case this is too much info feel free to answer that it's by videogame Physics. After all, it's not like any fiction pilot could survive a second if the maneuvers they do on their source material were made IRL...

- I supposed fighters have a longer operational range, right? After all CAUs don't seem like the can pack so much fuel, though they obviously seem to have advantages when it comes to refueling be it mid-air, or on the ground because of their ability to hover as well as vertical take off/landing.

- I think this is mostly the last for the time being, but what exactly qualifies as a low-speed dog fight when it comes to fighter vs CAU engagements? Considering that the usual plane's maneuverability drops with increases in speed (the reason why I love my Su-37 is because it defies this) but CAU's remain more or less constant because they can practically ignore momentum when turning? I guess that the key is not on speed but rather on skill, unless it's just about outrunning the enemy, right?

PS: Sorry about this bombardment of questions, but I just want to make sure my character(s) don't accidentally say or do something stupid IC, for lack of info on my part. I hope this isn't a bother.

With my last post, all the advanced info about the battle has been laid, despite no mention to the Angels, they have access to the map and information regarding the objectives of the battle as well. Make your preparations, people.
@Rune_Alchemist

Hmm, I guess I need to reread the IC, then. It was late at night when I last read anything there, so I probably missed something.

Victoire interrupted her 'interrogation' momentarily as she heard the voice of an intruder who had just barged into her home, completely uninvited. She waited until he said his piece before replying, "Do I even know who you are? I would advice against invading the dwellings of others without being invited, but I have no time for this." Victoire glared at the invading devil with obvious animosity in her eyes.

"What I do or not with the prizes I looted is only of my own concern however, I am feeling quite elated at the present time. I will grant you request if you can prove you value during the skirmish that is about to begin at Ruthria." Victoire extended her hand, summoning a leather-bound map case which contained an old piece of parchment, before handing it to Slike. "This is a map detailing the Ruins of Lenuria, I'm sure the Angels and the Machina must have a copy of it already. You can take that to the battlefield and instruct our forces, or keep it for yourself and ruin our chances of victory." Despite the obvious different in their height, Victoire didn't seemed fazed at all as she handed orders for Slike in her typical imperious ways.

"This time the war will not be one of brute force, but of strategy and intelligence. We will be fighting over resources dominance. Now that you know of this, leave me alone. I have preparations to do and fun to have, before that fool of a King comes to claim what I have won with my own hands." Victoire turned her back to Slinke and began to walk back to her captives, "Of course you are free to stay and enjoy my games, if you want. Otherwise, Garou will escort you back to the front gates."

"Now, where did we stopped?" The young vampire had a wicked grin on her face as she walked to Bastion forcing the mismatched-eyed girl to gaze as her girl... friend was slowly roasted to a tasty looking, golden tan.

Back at Hyperion, the mighty capital of the Machina and their allies...

"..." The High Queen of the Machina, Eos, sighed deeply as she waited for the subjects known as Endian, Krieg, Hibiki and Shizuka, to arrive at her Audience Chambers, better known as the heart of the Machina mainframe, Alaya, which uses Eos herself as the core processor.

Even though the High Queen, who was said to be devoid of all emotion, just sighed in her throne of cables and holographic displays, it would be nearly impossible for anyone else to notice as Eos' movements were far too minute.

The first thing the four of them would notice upon entering the Core Chamber would be how cold it was. The whole place was filled with tubes pumping hyper-coolant fluids, to keep the sub-processors from over heating because to Eos' insane processing power. As the cold mist that took the whole floor of the Core Chamber parted before their feet, the visage of the High Queen, standing atop her elevated altar-like throne, would enter in their sight line.

"I see that Bastion has been taken." Eos said before any of them could say anything. "While your mission was a failure, it was not a total one. Instead of dwelling on it, we need to prepare for future conflicts, Bastion will be rescued in due time." Eos continued her monologue in a deadpan voice, summoning a larger monitor to display the info she needed to explain their next mission. "You'll be sent to the battle at the Sea of Ruthria, the command of the battleship HMS Contender, will be assigned to unit Endian. Unit Krieg is to be issued a rank promotion to battlefront commander and a new underwater battle frame in order to operate more reliably on this scenario. Units Hibiki and Shizuka are to have improvement on their equipment for long term underwater operations, whatever resources needed will be at your disposal."

"This will be a battle for the resources from the Ruins of Lenuria. Intelligence gathering and strategy will be crucial to our victory. Now that the briefing is done, is there anything you want to say?" Eos asked as she silently turned back to her administrative tasks, micromanaging the whole forces of the Machina spread throughout the Nexus with little to no trouble. Trlly, the Queen was a one of a kind machine...

I'll be posting up to tomorrow. Apparently there's a bit of info no one is taking into consideration, so I'll have to drop it as Iona.

The attack is supposed to happen during the festival celebrating 10,000 years of Kil'Threx's defeat, it's obvious that we can wait days for armies to arrive, when the thing will happen on the following IC day.

Considering the obvious date, I bet that if our characters don't act by then, Kil'threx will not be freed, for the following 10,000 years, so... either people listen to Iona, or we incur on the chance of auto failing our mission from the get go.
