God's Shattering

"Don't give up, Lorei, you were almost there, contrary to a certain person that keeps thinking with her fist up to today." Eleonor said as she sat beside Lorelei, patting the the knight's back in playful way, while throwing a teasing barb towards Solanne. Certainly the Crimson knight must have been in rather high spirits, to indulge in this sort of nigh childish behavior.

"Say, have you ever heard the saying, 'If you can't bring the prophet to the sanctuary...'" Eleonor left the rest of the, quite obvious saying as well as the solution of the puzzle, for Lorelai's mind to piece.

"But you would do well to be a quick thinker, Lorei, we will be having company soon." Eleonor said as she felt the quickened heartbeats of the soldiers coming toward their current location. However, she lifted a brow, a smile forming on her face. "But it seems not all of it will be bad. We'd better hurry and greet our honor guests with a nice light show, don't you think, Antonia?" Eleonor gazed at the priestess, who even now continued on her silent watch of all of them, with her ever expressionless gaze, turned to Solanne, most of all. After all, Antonia knew all too well who the Crimson Hound truly was.

"Well then, you should take care to not lose your way on the future. This city can be quite unwelcoming during the night, you are lucky a thief didn't robbed you blind, to say the truth." The guard said after Damien explained his situation, offering a hand to help him get back to his feet.

Right about this time the guard looked to the main street, as a unusual concentration of soldiers were making their way at hasty paces to the direction of the Grand Cathedral. "What could have happened over there? So many soldiers, instead of the city guard..." The guard thought out loud.

"You, stay here. I'll come back and take you to to a safer place, after I find out what's happening." The woman said in a commanding voice as she turned her back to Damien and took a short cut to the Cathedral by one of the alleys near the one Damien had slept. What could really be happening?

*: I'm waiting for replies from the whole of Fei's party, as well as Fazzer (Just this once more), before posting for the other parts of the RP.

Oh, we're allowed to post in this?

Shouldn't be, but I can open an exception for you, Windel-sama~
@KoL Quick question. What are you exactly testing here ? :)

If I told you, I would have to kill you. ;)
Rules

Stats (No dice involved, this is just for comparison/fluff)

Strength (STR) - Determines the damage and effectiveness of physical abilities/attacks, the load one carry, jump distance.

Endurance (END) - Determines how much damage one can take, resistance to physical
debuffs.

Defense (DFS) - Determines resistance to Physical damage.

Agility (AGL) - Determines movement speed, accuracy of attacks, evasion, attack speed.

Luck (LCK) - Determines drop/encounters rate and rarity, critical hit chance, stabilizes the other stats (adds 1/4 LCK value to all stats bellow your LCK value, no stats can go above your LCK value).

Spirit (SPR) - Determines mana reserves, the damage and effectiveness of magical abilities/attacks, resistance to mental debuffs.

Level Up

Everytime a character gains a new level, they receive 03 points that they can spend to increase their stats at the cost of 01 point each.

The same points can also be used to unlock special abilities, or acquire Enhanced Arms -special character unique equipment- or increase the effectiveness of any already owned ability or Enhanced Arms. These uses require 03 points each, however some special/rare abilities (eg: flight, teleportation, etc.) cost more than standard to acquire/upgrade, please ask us about any idea you have first.

Level 01 characters have 10 points to spare, no stat can be higher than 05 at level 01.

With the exception of the Level 01 points, you are not obliged to invest points as soon as you earn them. In other words, you can store some, or all of your level up earned points to buy more costly upgrades.

EXP to level up and Death Penalty

To reach a new level, a player must first acquire an amount of EXP equal to their current levelx1000, then spend all those points (deducing it from their total EXP reserve) to purchase a new level. However, it's not always the best tactic to level up as soon as you reach the required EXP amount, because a death will cause you to lose half of your current EXP (min of 01 EXP), but if you have no remaining EXP, you'll instead lose a level. If you die on PVP you'll also drop a random piece of non-Enhanced Arms from your equipment or inventory. Respawn time is of 1 minute per level, though this will rarely be a matter within the context of this RP.
Victoire

"My, my, what a poor little creature, you seem to not have understood it." Victoire said as she reached forth to gently pat the red spot that was left on Miyu's face after Sliske's bruttish backhanded slap. "I am not trying to mock you, poor thing. My sincerest desire is to see what kind of creature you'll breed after being taken by one of these hellish beasts. After all, they say that Angels could breed with a rock and still produce offspring. Even if this is not true, the mating itself will be a worth spectacle worth of my time."

"Perhaps, you are afraid of it? Only poor jesters try to hide their fear behind a mask of laughter." Victoire pulled back from Miyu, licking her blood stained fingers slowly as she savored on the taste of an angelic maiden's blood, even if it was stained with the stench of the Machina techologies.

However, a scowl appeared on Victoire's face as her mood was spoiled in the blink of an eye with the appearance of a certain buffon who declared himself king. Henry's desperation was a nice break from the instant ennui brought by the King of Fools presence. Victoire made a huge effort to not let out an exasperated sigh when Rufus called for her, inquiring of Bastion's fate. "My, my, King Rufus? I was not expecting to meet your Majesty at such a short order. As for the treasure, Bastion... right? Well, I thought that we could use her more strategically as a sleeper agent, thus I had herinfiltrate the Machina while under the effect of a spell."

"Pardon my intrusion, but I have heard that the Three Leaders would attend to a conference right about this time. Perhaps that information was misplaced? Certainly the King of Hell would not show a lack of punctually before our enemies, right?" Victoire gambled, letting out an important bit of information she had aquired same time ago, to try to get Rufus' ass out of her sight.

@Fabricant451@Aether Spawn@HatBF@FantasyChic

Thank you all for the interest, I'll wait a little more to see if some more people will be likely to join before working on the OOC.

EDIT:

If no one else shows up until around next Wednesday at most, I'll be beginning this with just us, if you are still in to it.
@SaikaAnge

I'm still kinda waiting for @Lucius Cypher as well. At this point, this is what has been keeping us stuck.

Ten years have passed since the disappearance of the World's Greatest Detective, the last one to bear the badge of the Meitantei, also known as the Badge of Pallas, during the investigation of his most mysterious case.

A whole decade after this mysterious event, the granddaughter of the previous Meitantei decided to issue a world wide competition to choose who will be the next one to inherit the title of World's Greatest Detective. Those invited to the competition received a letter containing but a riddle and a blank world map, only those who could decipher it would be admitted on the competition, which came to be known as the... Detective Wars.
18xx, Annabel Island, Southern Pacific

Annabel Island, a formerly uninhabited island a few days off of the coast of Southern Australia, that was the stage chosen to hold the competition between the 12 best detectives of the whole world as well as their assistants. The granddaughter of the previous Meitantei spent a fair share of her fortune to built a modern days city as well as other installations on the island, including a Train Station that is the only link between Annabel City and the Docks, which connect the island to the outside world.

Completely cut from the outside world, save for a single phone line on the Granddaughter's Mansion, the competitors will have to solve a series of riddles, until someone claims the ultimate prize, the Badge of Pallas itself, as well as the tittle of Meitantei.
Plot

Welcome all!

As you can see this is my attempt at doing a detective mystery RP (something that's seriously lacking around here), there's not much description because the story should be very straightforward for anyone that's into this genre. To put it simply, 12 -or is it 13?- of the best detectives of the world, each with their own ways of solving mysteries, be it through science, pure intellect, or even alleged paranormal means are stuck on an island in the middle of the South Pacific, competing for the title of World's Best Detective, or Meitantei, since this RP has a lot of inspiration on anime detective fiction.

Whoever wins the competition will be showered with praises and fame, as well as the Badge of Pallas, the Goddess of Wisdom who guides all detectives, believe them or not. While it's not a explicitly supernatural artifact, the Badge is made of solid gold and does give the wearer a world wide jurisdiction to investigate mysteries, certainly a prize worthy the challenge. But, is it just so simple of a game? Well, that's what we are about to find.

Soon enough...

I wonder how long Miyu will be able to sass everyone before dying. :P

Though, she misread Victoire's intentions. She doesn't have any animosity towards Miyu, all that Victoire wants is to really, really see how it'll be if Miyu gets raped by a hell hound, just that. Miyu seems to not know the power of demonic libido.

<Snipped quote by The 42nd Gecko>

>Implying Miyu gets to die.

Heh, funny story. Don't you know, the Demons don't kill anyone.

Why kill someone when you can have much more fun with them alive? Necrophilia is a tasteless hobby, don't you know?
