Keep moving forward ۩
⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Okay, please bear with me right now. I am laughing my ass off.... And I really shouldn't be. Why? because it is sad, it is just down right heart breaking even but seriously, LLA has the most twisted sense of humor. I mean really. We were doing so well, she was saving people and then she whipped her head around and...

She decided she was not only being too nice but to give us our second curse of the RP. We all know what the first curse is. Anyone that gets close to Ash in any way ends up on the chopping block. Well, it seems that now we have a new curse. What do I mean? Well you will see. I just ~keeps laughing~ can't, I just can't. Oh god, I'm going to hell for laughing. Forgive me....

@Nallore @FantasyChic - Normally I hold these for the last updates but seriously I can't. Nal, you are cursed woman, cursed. As you two are heading off Ray stumbles through what seems to be an old hole that was covered up with wood that has rotten away. It isn't too deep so Ray doesn't fall fully in and one foot hits the ground pretty quickly while his other didn't break through the wood and is wedged up; knee to chest. The big problem? There was a walker in there and Ray has been bit. Right through his pants and into his shin about six inches below the knee. (See what I mean by cursed?) Better work quick because this could just be another lost limb moment or it could be a death moment. God ~can't stop laughing~ I'm sorry I know I shouldn't but fuck! Three times???????

@Caits @Nallore - You two are fine, it doesn't seem like anything else is going down. Kris is going to be sore and there is swelling but other than that okay. There is no ice or anything in the apartments, the only ice machine being in the Mess Hall currently. If you want ice you will need to speak with Miss Sally about that. Other than that, you are okay and safe for now.

@rivaan @Morose @Charnobylisk - Okay I know you all haven't finished your rotation yet but knew the counters were getting close so here is your next bit - You all rolled fine and can continue on your way right now without any additional issues other than previously stated. So you all are in the clear for now, keep moving.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: Rec Center

Tatiana glanced over towards Jack and smiled bashfully, a small blush flooding her cheeks. It wasn't the first time she had danced in front of him or warmed up even, but it was the first time she had the proper amount of room she really needed instead of being cramped in some living room hoping that nothing would hear her.

"Maybe one day," she said lightly as she turned and kept warming up until she felt limber enough to actually dance. Hearing Jack pipe up once again she stopped and giggled. "You make blush, stop that," she said playfully as she wagged her finger towards him.

Taking a deep breath she tried to clear her mind and keep from smiling too brightly but she couldn't help it. She was happy, deliriously so. Each point, each turn, each movement was crisper and cleaner than the last. Able to fully stretch and turn without worry. Letting her mind set into the movements without worry that a Walker might come out at any moment. Jack was there, they were behind walls, they were alone: or so she thought.

She didn't even notice when Sophia came into the rec center. She just danced, remembering movements and parts she hadn't been able to fully enjoy in years. Her hair spinning and fanning out around her. She was in her element. There was no fear, no timid little bird anymore. She looked strong and sure of herself as she moved along the floor. Spinning on toe over and over again as she went across it. It wasn't the best floor for such a dance but it was better than she had ever hoped to see again.

As she stopped her hands fluttering down to her sides she let out a long soothing breath, her eyes down cast before they came up to see Jack, and then another. Another was there? Swallowing slightly she clasped her hands in front of her and found herself swallowing slightly as she stood there, just looking at the girl for a moment before she came to her senses.

"Hello," she said timidly before stepping quickly over to Jack and slipping her arm through his. Her head tilting to the side a little as she half stood behind him. The little bird had reappeared.

My reaction to the latest set of rolls for LLA in our upcoming post...

~notes she really shouldn't be laughing but figures once they see it, they will understand~

Date: Saturday May 13th, 2017

@Dragoknighte - Outside the window, after one pair of cops drive off two more sets show up from different directions. One coming in from the south, the other coming in from the north. Several get out of the cars and look at each other as if to ask - what the fuck are you doing here? You can't really tell what they are saying but between the pointing and eventual moving it is clear to where they are headed. They are both headed into Mali's building but as you hear the stomping of feet up passed her front door you can easily tell that there aren't as many feet heading up to the next floor above you as entered the building. You hear a few knocks on the door to the apartment above you hear one of them yell. "Police! Open the door!" There is no response, then you hear the shattering of a door being kicked in and sets of feet pounding on the ceiling above you as they move into the apartment.

@Scallop - Felix gets there about the time that Detective Johnson is driving off of the scene. Amy Adams from Channel Six news has just cut feed and is giving out a large huff, she wanted to interview the detective to find out more. "We should get back to the station," the camera man tells her but she shoots the man an eat shit and die look. She still looks pretty roughed up from the handling she had gotten the night before. "Forget that, this is a story," she tells him. "This is a Romeo And Juliet Suicide gone wrong. Come on Amy, I'm fucking hungry! Let's at least grab a bite to eat before you start breaking and entering."

Detective Roy Gregory

Location: Justice Memorial; Front Entrance

Gregory took his phone back and chuckled a bit. He wasn't going to rag the girl about forgetting to tell someone that it was her sending the text and not him. With everything that was going on he was surprised that she remembered that his phone was even clear to use at this point. Finishing up a few more interviews he looked back over to her and nodded.

"Yeah, grab yourself a burner phone before you do," he said as he pulled out his card and handed it over to her. He didn't know if she had his number written down somewhere or not, it was better to be safe than sorry. "Just send me what you want me to pick up and I'll grab it. My address is scribbled on the back of the card. If you need a ride later on, just call me. I'll come get you. Probably better not to be alone tonight anyways with everything going on," he added as he grabbed his jacket and slipped it back on over his shoulders. Adjusting his gun holster he looked back over to her and patted her on the back lightly.

"Yeah, I can walk you down. I'll finish up here and then head over to Forensics." Keeping the clasp over his side arm undone he stepped out and walked down the hall with Cecily, keeping an eye out. He didn't think anyone would try anything in broad daylight in the middle of the hospital but with the way the day had gone he wasn't counting anything out.

Once they were downstairs he escorted her out the front door and over to a bench by the side walk where they could keep an eye out for her ride. Pulling out a pack of cigarettes he lit one up and took a long puff from it, rubbing his chin lightly before sitting down next to Cecily and sighing as the smoke billowed up around him. "Cecily, be careful. Trust no one."

Ronni

Location: Rollar Derby Rink

"Well I am at your service," Ronnie chuckled as he stood up and took a grand bow before flopping back down next to her.

The main event wasn't set to start for another hour so they had time but some members of each team were starting to arrive and taking their spots on their respective sides of the rink. The girls from Dragon that had shown up wouldn't really catch anyone's eye other than for the fact they all looked to be from Asia or at least of Asian decent. Some looked far to dainty to even be on a team for this type of sport, like they would break if you looked at them to hard. Others looked like they might had wanted to retire about fifty years ago. None of their uniforms matched other than for the fact that they were all painted black, red, and gold in some manner and had a dragon on them somewhere. Other than that it looked like they were left to make their uniforms look however the hell they wanted.

Now, as far as the Juno crew went, only three had shown up so far and their uniforms were just that, uniforms. Each one exactly the same. Black backgrounds on their shirts that in the front it simple said - Juno - over where the left breast pocket would have been if it was a button down shirt. On the back was an owl looking like bird drinking the blood of a victim with its golden beak. It's red wings cutting up as if it was about to take flight and its four black claws tearing into the flesh of the victim.

"It's a Strix," Ronnie said pointing to the back of one of the women's jersey. The rest of the uniform matched color wide to the tight fitted spandex pants. Each of their pads and their helmet was gold, the helmet more angular than the other teams. On the back of each Helmet was the name of the player. The three that were there were: Nova Cibum, who might look familiar to Cecily, she worked at Juno's Greek. Her name was Sarah wasn't it? Then there was Cantus, who would definitely look familiar. She was the DJ Ally Cranks from the party the night before.

The last woman who had a C on her jersey to denote she was the captain had Venus on her helmet. She looked very out of place and yet might look so familiar. A lot of stories were swirling around her as of late. It was Admiral Of The Navy Leanna McCormick; the recently appointed Secretary of the Defense for the country... Ronnie leaned up a little bit. "Well those two are new," he said pointing over to Nova Cibum and Cantus. "Haven't seen them before."

Risa Couri

Location:Justice Memorial Recovery Ward

Risa smiled towards Lucas as she squeezed his hand. "That's good, maybe you can take Monday off. You know, I mean you didn't get blown up but your fiance did. Think they might let the professor skip class," she said in a groggy voice. It was obvious that the drugs were keeping her fuzzy in the brain. Risa was usually very quick to pick up on anything that was off, especially with Lucas but the morphine was doing its job it seemed. It was easing her pain, which was good, but on the flip side a monkey could have walked into the room and she wouldn't have thought it was off.

Yawning slightly she relaxed a bit in her bed, pulling the covers up over her a bit more. The place was cold and even though Risa loved the cold this was bone chill for her considering the blood loss. "Lucas, could you see if the nurse can get me an extra blanket?" she asked him quietly as she started to doze off. She wouldn't really fall asleep but she would hover between being awake and being in dream land, that half way point that many came to when they were trying not to wake up.

Out in the hallway it was pretty empty. Visiting hours were drawing to a close in the hospital and many were heading out for the day, bidding their loved ones goodbye until the next day. At the nurses station it was shift change, the women there exchanging notes on what had happened that day and what was supposed to happen over night. One of them, who appeared to be the head nurse giving most of the directions and orders. Talking about making sure meds were given out at certain times, when those that could eat would be served dinner, which diets needed to be liquid and who would just have to deal with IV's for the time being.

"I love you Lucas," Risa whispered in a dreamy fashion, her hand slowly slipping from his as she lay there and she tucked her hand under her head to try to get more comfortable. Her engagement ring shinning in the low light of the room, a few splinters of light showing in from behind the curtain of the window, deep oranges were showing that it was getting later in the day.

David Lawson

Location: Somewhere

"Mother of a goat," the country boy said as he spat out blood and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. Taking a deep breath he scooped up the files that he had been given by Lana before stumbling out of an old and run down building. He was decently torn up with a large trail of blood sticking to the side of his face. Shaking off the dizzy feeling he wandered over to his truck. The door squeaking a little as it opened and he climbed in.

Pulling out his sidearm he checked the clip, there were only three bullets left plus one in the chamber. He had started off the day with a full clip. On the dash board of his truck his phone buzzed. Picking it up with his bruised hands he flipped it over and looked down at it as he unlocked the screen.

Grunting he closed the door of his truck and started it up before replying.

Hitting send he turned and rolled down his window, spitting out another mouthful of blood before driving off. He needed to get cleaned up and quick. He was supposed to be meeting someone soon. He didn't need to show up like this.
Okay, I know I am not the only one that does this. Sometimes you will be stuck trying to post and nothing is coming to mind and then you put on your music, 1 song comes on and that is all she wrote. That song goes onto repeat and you drive everyone in the place nuts because it has been playing for the last hour while you type. (Or even longer depending on how in-depth the post is.) You don't even notice that the thing has played 5, 10, 20.... 50 times.

So, what is your current Repeat? Mine is listed below and has been on for the last 2 hours while working on posts for 3 different Rps.... (Please put your video in hiders for those that have slow loading times.)

Desh

Location: Best Exotic: Dining Hall
Interacting With: One hell of a hangover & @SouffleGirl123
Time/Date: Morning/August 2nd, 2016

Desh sat there with a bag of ice against the back of his neck and a warm rag on the front. The staff had tried to bring him food but when he started gagging like a dog choking up a bone they quickly removed it. Leaning back in his seat he wondered what was going on with his hotel but he didn't have it in him to even get up to check it out. He just hoped that more damage wasn't being done to the building. He heard the crash of a flower pot but other than that all he could hear was the screaming. Maybe he would check when he felt like, you know, standing up.

Grunting under his bile scented breath as he adjusted in his seat he wondered if he could get an investor or two to help with the cost of the renovations; to speed things up. He couldn't keep his thoughts on that though, he was too busy trying to talk his stomach and liver out of quitting on him and evacuating his body the same way everything he had eaten since childhood had that morning.

Looking over at Amber as she came towards him, he tried to force a smile. She was a paying customer, he had to make sure that she was taken care of. Granted even if she wasn't paying he would have, that was just how he was. Sitting up a bit more straight, he wobbled a bit before dropping the rag on his head and stabled himself with the table.

"Oh yes, very well. Very well indeed. I am as right as rain that kisses the long dry sands of the desert. Very well, very well indeed. And you my fine young guest. How are you enjoying the Best Exotic Hotel? Beyond anything you dreamed isn't it?" he said before stifling a belch.

Claire McManus

Location: Outside Tapri
Interacting With: @Pundii
Time/Date: Morning/August 2nd, 2016

Claire yelped as Joel came for her and darted off through the crowd. Turning around on her heels to see where he was as she ran into too big a crowd to get around she felt his arms wrap around her and heft her up into the air. Her abs bending until she was over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Laughing she smacked his back a few times. "Put me the fuck down you twat," she yelled, trying not to laugh but she couldn't help it.

Bending back she straightened herself up and placed her hands on his shoulders as she looked down at him. "Actually, fuck that. Keep carrying me. I can see everything," she exclaimed as she took in her vantage point and looked around over the top of the crowds. Being short had its advantages and disadvantages. One such disadvantage was having to push through a crowd or crawl under it to get through it but now she could see over the heads of those much taller than her. Her head whipping left and right as she used his bald head to steady herself.

"Hey, Joel," she said tapping him on top of his head and pointing down the street some. "See a little store, you need smokes?" she asked as she leaned back a little more, resting her hands on his shoulders as her fingers curled against them and grinning. She wasn't a smoker but she knew Joel did and it didn't bother her. Her brother Murphy smoked like a damn chimney, as far as she was concerned the rate as which Joel inhaled a cigarette was a turtles pace compared to Murphy.

Cynthia McMillan

Location: Riley's Car --> The Sidewalk

Cynthia was as giddy as a child on Christmas morning now as they drove through the town and towards the park in the center of the small hamlet for the picnic. She wanted to get there a bit early, less people and more time for her to settle in before things got a little too stimulating for her. She wanted to speak with Adelaide, Adelaide helped keep the voices in check and she felt more normal when she was around her. The meds were helping but they never worked long and she knew with everything that was going on she would need all the help she could get. She just hoped that Adelaide showed up before it got all too overwhelming for her.

Tuesday and Riley were helping a lot, they had given her an evening and morning that was more normal and controlled than most that she could remember over the last ten years but she was still settling in with them. She didn't know them as well as she knew Adelaide. It was a comfortability factor. Adelaide had seen Cynthia at her worst and still stuck it out by her side. Others had only seen small glimpses of just how insane the poor woman really was these days because of what had been done to her in that so called hospital.

Looking out the window Cynthia suddenly started pounding on the glass of the passenger side window. "No! No! Don't! We have to say! No! Don't move! I have to! Why! It's got to stop!!" she screamed out before pulling on the handle and popping the door open. Cynthia rolled out of the car and onto the curb; coming to a stop on the sidewalk before she got up and darted over to the window, her fists banging on the glass as she screamed out. "NO!!!!!!!" Through the glass window of the sporting goods store was Trent Lanier put up as a front window display, blood dripping through the netting he was strung up with and into a puddle on the ground.

Kayala Stalack

Location: Main Hold -> Her Quarters

"Of course Ma'am," she said gently to the senator. Kayala nodded towards the Captain as she left and made her way back down to her quarters. She had several Faces that she could use and had on stand by; wanting to sort through them and get them organized before they reached their destination. The issue with the ship didn't phase her, she knew it was well under control and that there was nothing to worry about. Their mechanic was top notch, if nosy, and always kept them flying. Plus there was nothing she could do to help out with that particular issue, so it was best that she stuck with what she knew instead of trying to press herself into a matter that she would only complicate by her very presence.

Closing the door behind her as she stepped into her room she glanced around, the place was a mess. Well, not really. To look at it, it was probably one of the neatest, cleanest, and most organized rooms in the ship. Yet for her right then it was a total pig sty. Sighing to herself she reached up and brushed back her bangs a bit before getting to work. Dusting, organizing, and more. She knew if she didn't take care of the mess first she would just keep thinking about it and worrying about it until she actually got to it; which would take her focus off her Faces and could lead to oversights. This would not do.

Once everything was in order she pulled out trunk after trunk of her various Faces and started to get to work. Her mind centering on blank for now. She was a canvas and needed to be blank for a Face. One did not draw a masterpiece on top of another, so it was with Faces. Each detail was added over the empty space in her mind, letting each one fill in as needed until a complete personality, voice, accent, and look was in place. Though she had not settled on exactly which face she intended to put to use, the ones she had narrowed it down had similarities; so she drew from those for now. Once she knew more she would pinpoint just which one would be most useful for the venture and to aid the crew in the best possible way.

Morgbra Bonwoo

Location: Medical Bay

Today wasn't shaping up to be anything out of the ordinary for Morgbra, it seemed that most mornings these days were spent with him getting up, telling himself he looked oh so pretty in the mirror, before making it down to medical and then playing a little game with Jaina. After which he would always get a page to come see the damage she had done. It was nothing serious, most just liked to come in there to get away from her or out of her path. It was safer in the Medical Bay when it came to Jaina's antics than anywhere else in the ship. Jaina hated Med Bay, so unless something big happened she wouldn't enter. He was lucky if she even poked her head in to see him on days he was busy.

Bruises and bumps where tended to, cuts were cleaned, an one broken bone was set. It wasn't anything his staff couldn't handle but he did enjoy his work and insisted on being there for as much as possible. It didn't matter if it was a sniffle of a sniper round, he wanted to be hands on. Most all of the crew knew he was once on the Rebel side and several had a problem with that but when you are bleeding out you tend to stop worrying about where a person came from as long as they could make it stop and keep you breathing. It was because of his skill and dedication as a doctor that he had won over a fair amount of the crew. Sure there were still people who questioned him but he didn't let it get to him. In fact he thrived on it. It just meant he had to keep working.

Would he ever go back to the other side? Sure, and he didn't hide that fact. He was a healer first and as long as he could do that, he would continue to for the Empire. If they tried to stop him like that one fucktard, he would walk. They knew that. Commodore knew that and to her credit, she never got in his way. They were two very different people but they both wanted the same for the crew; their survival.

"And another thing," one tropper was trying to state as Morgbra finished bandaging up his wrist. The man had been going on for the last twenty minutes about Jaina being a drain on the staff. Morgbra had finally had enough as he finished securing the wrap.

"If I were you, I would look out to where you are walking and start walking out of this medical bay before you need some real attention for a true wound and I am far too busy taking care of an ingrown toe nail to tend to the bullet in your chest," he said before turning and pulling his gloves off; walking away from the man to go over to another patient. The man looked at him oddly but got the point and hurried back to his post.
Yeah, sorry about the double but I've waited 5 days lol
@KillBox Sounds good, just post it here in the ooc when you get a chance to complete it, no rush, and I can go over it. Don't worry about relations, that it just for the start of the rp and after time jumps currently. You'd be coming in as a new check in, so no need to worry about that part just yet.
That is a tricky question. I am more likely to look at an Rp run by someone that I know that I am someone I don't. Why? Simply because I am better acquainted with their Gming strategy. Does that mean I will join it? No, it has to be something I am craving and looking forward to being a part of the story. (It takes a lot for me to join an Rp I am not running personally.)

Now, I am mixed to who joins an RP I am hosting. I love having a core group that I know and I can trust. Reason? I know they already know what they are getting into with me as a GM, I am not an easy person to have as a GM. Plus I know I can trust them to not try to pull any BS - Godmodding, metagaming, bunnying, etc. I do enjoy fresh faces in an RP, but I like it to trickle in instead of being a flood of completely new people. If I can get 1-2 new faces for every 4-5 trusted core Rpers, then I am good. Sure, it is slower when it comes to meeting new people but it works for me overall.
