Yes, the character I have in mind is a pretty jaded mercenary from a band that got decimated during the rebellion phase. He's just selling his skills to whoever needs them, acts like a bodyguard and junk like that. I can just say that his last charge was pretty detached from whatever events may have gone down until I get back.

This is really interesting but I'm leaving on a camping trip tomorrow and won't be able to be active for a week or so. I'm wondering if I can just reserve my interest here and come back with a fleshed out character?

L.A By Night (Classic World of Darkness: Vampires, Werecreatures, Mages, Demons, Hunters and more)

Priscilla's car pulled up just behind the van as Hector made his appearance. Deciding that discretion was the better part of valor, Priscilla used Forces to bend light and sound around herself, rendering her invisible and inaudible as she snuck towards where Lucas was (presumably) still held by the cultists.

While Hector made for a good distraction - Priscilla had figured out from the vast amounts of Quintessence in his blood that the man was a Vampire - the female priest knew to stay away from potential danger when it wasn't necessary. Priscilla would then lightly touch Lucas's shoulder, and using Correspondence, as well as the fact that the people in the Cult won't generate Paradox as they believed in Magic, the woman would teleport herself and the young man (and Damien if he was still there) to the basement of her church.

Oh, and she also summoned her enchanted letter opener back to her with more teleportation just before doing that.

They had arrested him as he was making a rendezvous with the rebel groups he was preparing for the uprising, but that wasn't enough to prevent his subordinates from wrenching Japan free from the grasp of OPHFST. This had forced his captors to transfer him out of the country, to the artificial isle of Eden, OPHFST's HQ and the site of its horrific prison facilities. There, they had stripped him 'for interrogation', before sending him to the presence of the leader of the organization, Alistair Betelgeuse.

If not for the fact that his sleep had been dreamless, Kira would have taken that opportunity to kill the enemy leader right then and there.
But alas, he was weaponless, weaponless and exposed as Alistair narrated his plans for using Empowered abilities to dissolve humanity's souls and bodies into one being, one mass. Once he'd heard enough, Kira would have opted for torture and death rather than give Alistair whatever he wanted...then, he vanished.

Present Day

"Gods?" Kira Tachibana said as he put on the swimming trunks given him. He would then gaze at the jester, then the 14-year old who seemed to be in the same situation as he was, before saying, "We've been mysteriously transported from 2027 Japan into an area where the tech used is more primitive - I mean, fossil-fuel jetskis? That and the fact that in my Japan, OPHFST has been restricting vacation privileges for common workers and even the diminishing middle class, meaning that a throng such as this is literally anachronistic." He would then look at Rika, saying:

"Hey, kid, are you an Empowered?" Or, if Court Jester was right and we're in a Multiversal adventure, an Empowered analogue. "Don't worry," Kira gave a smile as he stepped a few feet away to give the kid some space, "I won't bite."

Zouchouten was on his last legs, and Samuru was glad his Persona was healed by the kinetic energy from physical attacks (or at least, that was what he thought was the mechanics behind 'Drain Physical'). He would then say:

"Shiro, Deathbound, now! Attack at the same time as the others!" He would then jump back once the command was implemented, sure that the combined attack was going to end the battle. Once said confirmation came, Samuru would look at Ryan, before saying, "Hopefully we get a new 'card' out of this. It might be interesting to have a non-physical means of attack, in order to enhance my Persona's ability to contribute to the battle."
