Current Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

Noble Arms: Restoring Hope

In the twilight of World War II, a mysterious power surfaced among select humans. This power, the Noble Arm, was the ability to conjure up a paranormal weapon that can defy the laws of physics, a weapon innate in the user's mind and summoned by their will into reality. For reasons that still cannot be explained despite years of research, Noble Arms only take the form of weapons from before the First World War, however, despite the antiquity of these forms, the power they bare to the battlefield is unlike anything modern technology has been able to produce.

The ability to manipulate the elements to the users will.

Force that can reduce matter down to atoms in seconds.

The strength to withstand the explosion of a nuclear missile.

All of these powers and more still have surfaced along side Noble Arms, and the ones who bear them, the Arms Masters, are sought after by countries all around the world. Where once the strength of a country was decided by the technological strength of their Army, it is now judged by the power of their Arms Masters.

But this state of affairs has produced sadness and strife; the world was not prepared for the possibility of superhumans, people who just by existing, challenge the notion of equality between men. And so Arms Masters and Normal Humans live in an uneasy state of coexistence, with radicals on both sides wishing to shatter the peace and dominate one another.

The year is 2020, ten years since the Union of Arab Republics was shattered by the Hammer of Masters, an organization which believes that Arms Masters are not part of humanity, but a 'master race' destined to dominate the world. The Hammer, relying on the immense power of their Noble Arms, broke the governments and armies of Syria and Iraq (Egypt is fine; it regained its independence from the UoAR some decades ago), establishing the 'State of Masters', a regime dedicated to the supremacy of those who held Noble Arms. But in the moment of their triumph, their 'Malik', Yusuf Al-Kindi, was poisoned by a discontented slave, and their state fell apart.

Now was the turn of the second group of radicals, the Disablers, to emerge. Normal humans who believed that Arms Masters were a seperate race of monsters and freaks, the Disablers felt vindicated in their genocidal creed and with help from volunteers from the United States, Europe, and Russia, sparked an armed revolt where guns, bombs, and poison proved the bane of many members of the State of Masters. Exterminating even innocent children, the Disablers brought down the remnants of the State of Masters, plunging the centre of the Middle East into an anarchic void.

Enter Operation: Symbiosis. An armed force funded by multiple nations, corporations, and the two rival organizations called the Arms of Nobility and Organization for Disarmament, Operation Symbiosis is a numerous, well-funded, but fractious force divided in its goals. Should it restore order to the region, or just be content with dismantling the remnants of the State of Masters and the more radical Disablers? Should it ally with local forces to do so, even those that profess religious radicalism (like that has ever worked in other worlds)?

And if it did both of those things, should it attempt a utopian vision in which Arms Masters and Normal Humans cooperate with one another instead of conflict, and if so, does it have a chance?

Only time, and your involvement, will tell.

Is this still open for joining?

Edit: Ah; nevermind, developed an idea for my own RP in the past hours, which will divert attention from this one.

Flame Brooks

Flame, after finishing his meal, went back to Gris Art Fortye's household, but not after carefully checking for eavesdroppers and stalkers - He knew Chiyo knew he was her enemy. After making sure the coin purse was empty while he had plenty of supplies strapped in a pack close to his back - After all, shopping carts had not been invented yet - he went inside Gris' property once more, carefully checking if the mood inside had changed. He would then deposit the supplies wherever he was directed to place them, then report to the Oni Nobleman from Kararagi, saying, "Supplies bought as ordered; sorry I took so long; I had to patronize an eatery ran by Demi-Ocelots."

Ashton Andrews

Ashton, meanwhile, went to the part of the district that sold metal ingots and bought a bit of high-quality steel; he was not stupid enough to assume that mithril or admantium would just exist in this fantasy world just because it was fantasy. Nevertheless, he bought enough high-quality steel with Bellrigger's money to make a decent weapon; he presumed the guy would provide the wood and leather for the hilt. And with that, he returned to the secret warehouse with his load after keeping watch for stalkers or eavesdroppers or anyone who could have followed him.

Once he met up with Bellrigger once more, Ashton reported success.

Here's a summary of the situation if anyone of you wants it:

The Red-Star forces have sent reinforcements to the Missile Cruiser to ensure it does not fall into Havenite hands; said reinforcements are conventional forces - No NCs. These reinforcements are directly attacking the PCs - all of them - as they sit on the coast, exchanging fire with the Missile Cruiser. The composition of these reinforcements are:

- 24 Gunships with Coilgun/Railgun mini-cannons, micro-missile/rocket launchers, and two lasers each for point defense.
- Waterborne drones (think super-fast speedboats) packed with high explosives that are programmed to crash on shore and explode, kicking up sand.
- Marines in Power Armor with miniature outboard motors instead of jetpacks; these are armed with Mega-Railguns that can bring down an NCs' legs.
- And finally, two hovering Destroyers; light craft armed with railguns and lasers.

Also, this is not a timeskip; or if it is, it's a minor one.
Haven Base plus Red-Star Floating Supercarrrier Kuei-Ren

"Understood..." Chelsea said, having observed the skirmish/duel between Terra's group and Phoenix Inferno/Titan Breaker. She was still afraid of the intensity of the fighting, but her tone was calm and even as she continued, "Waiting for the signal, Squad Leader Cody."

The conventional forces that had been supporting Phoenix Inferno and Titan Breaker were now withdrawing to the Missile Cruiser, which was fast suffering damage to its armament. Theodore and Lucille watched closely for any signs of the ship's retreating, with the former using his sensors to detect if the ship was being scuttled via overheating the reactor.

As for the latter, she asked, her voice audible through the comms, "General Commander, assuming that the Missile Cruiser can't move fast enough to withdraw, will Red-Star funnel more conventional forces to reinforce it? And if so, what sort of people do they consider expendible?"

More gunships appeared over the horizon, along with explosive waterborne drones, divers in submersible Power Armor, and two hovering destroyers with small but quick railguns and point-defense laser cannons, which began firing on the International Volunteers' positions, putting themselves in danger as they did so due to their closeness to their enemies.

"Everyone," Theodore said with a slight frown. "They consider everyone here expendable."

Sorry for posting too soon, just felt I needed to react to Ventus' Asher post!

Palace of the Blachrenae, Renovation

Tocsax smiled at Felix's attempt to lighten the mood, while telling Agni, "No, I'm not hurt, but thank you for your concern." His lips were slightly pursed as he continued, "I'll give you, your companion, and our newcomer boy the needed exposition on the way to the Gummi Ship."

He glimpsed Asher's look of 'utter disappointment and disgust', and clenched his left fist in response as the 'thief' trailed off. There can be no explanation that person would accept, at least not verbally. Asher Rain was someone who accepted only actions - It was a shame that Tocsax felt that he didn't have the time to regain the Keyblader's respect. He didn't dislike Asher, but he needed the time that would be spent regaining his respect to investigate Leo's activities, among other things.

As Tocsax got up, Vic, Georgia, and Amuro might feel the Nobody's own regrown emotions - Disgust, self-hate, and the feeling of time wasted. He began walking to the hangar, where Felix was busy preparing the brightly colored Gummi Ship, Anastasios. Then upon sensing the opening of another Corridor of Darkness in the Palace itself, the young-looking Keyblader opened up his own portal and traveled to where Asher lay unconcious. Tocsax, still buffed by Strengthra, lifted up the 'thief's' body in a bridal carry and Corridor'd them both into the Anastasios' medbay.

Then after setting Asher onto the medbay's bed, Tocsax Corridor'd himself outside once more, to where Emperor Michael had made his way outside the palace to pursue Zekaraya, his expression stormy as well.

"Basileus, it seems we have to depart early," the Nobody said.

Emperor Michael nodded, "The Cornerstone of Light will repair itself in time, but until then, we won't be able to help you in your quest; we'll be too busy repelling Heartless attacks." He put a hand on Tocsax's shoulder, "God bless your journey."

The Nobody smiled. "Thank you."
