If someone’s personality could appear as effortless, that would describe Tyler Jane to a tee. She keeps her head held high at all times, exuding confidence and poise to all who notice her. With long slender legs, an athletic frame, copper hair and freckles, it’s hard for her not to stick out in a crowd, so she capitalizes on this through charming and subtly elegant mannerisms. Knowing that her physical appearance accounts for the majority of the attention she receives, Tyler takes great care in how she presents herself- channeling her effort into a calculated and specific aesthetic. History Pre-Memory Loss

The daughter of two busy and workaholic scientists, Tyler Jane fought for attention growing up. Her parents devoted their lives to science and poured every ounce of their time and dedication towards their research. Although they said they loved her, they did everything in their power to prevent their work from being interrupted, which involved making sacrifices. They put Tyler in school as soon as they could, almost too young in fact. They enrolled Tyler in numerous dance classes and extracurriculars to occupy her schedule, allowing them to spend more time at the lab. They missed countless school events, milestones, and birthdays, all for science. It got so bad that the young redhead only saw her mom and dad for 10 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes at night before she went to sleep.

As a result of her parents actions, the teen became completely self-sufficient- packing her own lunch, teaching herself how to function independently, and even doing grocery shopping as soon as she was old enough to drive. Tyler Jane was a separate entity from her parents. They failed to notice her, neglected her, and ignored her.

When presented with an opportunity by their close friend Dr. Hagerty to volunteer their daughter for Project Untamed, they jumped at the opportunity to get the child off their hands. It seemed like the perfect out; the perfect plan. They would never have to worry about the burden of “raising” a child ever again! They could devote their entire lives to their research. And so, against her will, her parents signed the papers and Tyler Jane was sent away.

Leo Brooks can be a real asshole- there’s no reason to beat around the bush when it’s the truth! Dominance seeping from his pores, the 18 year old carries himself with the bravado of someone twice his age and the swagger of someone who knows he’s the alpha male. If “big dick energy” had a poster child, it would be Leo. He’s bossy by nature and always makes sure he gets his way. The ultimate goal is for him to come out on top, and he will do whatever it takes to get there, even if it means controlling those around him like pawns or stepping on someone else’s toes.

You always know where you stand with Leo, as the word subtle is not in his vocabulary. It’s clear as day if he likes you or not as well as if you’re worth his time. And if he likes you, consider yourself lucky! He only surrounds himself with those he feels match his integrity and drive (but not too much, he doesn’t want to have to compete for the top spot on the totem pole). He looks out for his friends like he’d look out for family; protective and territorial, you know you’ll be alright if you’re on his side. But if you say something wrong to him or look at him and his friends the wrong way, you’ll wish you didn’t. Leo’s deepest fear, although he doesn’t show it, is losing the people that he loves. He’s incredibly protective by nature of those he cares about, but also this is a real human fear that has stuck with him throughout his whole life, even post memory loss.

History Pre-Memory Loss

Leo Brooks wasn’t always a problem child. He began life with a loving mother and younger sister, and although they didn’t have much money, they made the best of a bad situation. Yes, they may have all shared one bed in a small studio apartment, and yes, they may have not had heat and electricity some months, but they were happy because they had each other. However, relatives believed this living situation was not well suited for two young children, and they reported his mother to the authorities. Forcibly removed from his home at the age of 5, Leo and his sister were placed in the foster care system and subsequently separated. For years, he prayed that his mom would come and find him; come and rescue him. But, she never did. The trauma that Leo experienced from being taken away, as well as being split up from the only other family he had, was immense and would influence the trajectory of his life.

The young boy became reckless, rebellious, and inconsolable, bouncing from foster home to foster home as a result of his behavior. In some homes, Leo would resort to violent actions like throwing glass objects, slamming doors until they came off their hinges, and physically pushing or punching his foster siblings and parents. In other homes, he would break rules and attempt to sneak out or run away. He thought the more homes he would be rejected from, the more likely they would be to return him to his mother. But unfortunately, the opposite was the case. The vicious cycle continued and by the age of 17, Leo had been through 10 foster homes. Each one cited him as a nuisance, a rebel, and a difficult child who could not be reached. According to them, he was impossible.

A mere 4 days before he turned 18, hours away from being released from the foster care system as a legal adult, Leo’s final set of foster parents and case worker were approached by Dr. Hagerty and Dr. Wayman. They had heard of the misguided and problematic child and offered up a solution for all parties involved. The doctors explained the psychological and health consequences of frequent changes in placement for foster care children, which included negative developmental trajectories and poor adult outcomes, and recommended that Leo be sent to a special program in order to mitigate those risks. Thinking that this was the best course of action for him, his foster parents and case worker obliged, stripping Leo of his freedom just as he was about to grasp it. Project Untamed wasn't his "saving grace"... it was his doom.

Samuels mother was forced to give him up when he was born. A teen mom from a rich family, his maternal grandparents didn't want their family name ruined by their fifteen year old daughter giving birth to a child - especially when she didn't know who the father was. The only thing that his mother ever did for Sam was give him a name. Due to his mother putting him up for adoption, Sam was in and out of the foster care system his whole life.

At first, it wasn't so bad. For the first five years of his life, Sam was with a loving family who made sure that he had everything that he needed. Eventually the family ended up having their own children, and decided that they could no longer foster or adopt Sam. Until the age of thirteen, Sam was put with another family who fostered him simply for the check that they received from the state. As the second oldest in the home, Same took care of the rest of the kids who were being fostered with him. After an investigation by child protective services, Sam and the other children were removed from the home due to abuse and neglect. From the ages of thirteen to sixteen, Sam lived in a boys group home. Here, he was encouraged to make something of himself by the adults, and after much consideration, Sam started to get serious about school for the first time in his life. While some of the older, larger kids picked on Sam, he actually felt safe and secure for the first time since his original foster family.

As luck would have it, Sam found a family at sixteen that absolutely adored him. The Woods family had two children of there own already, but wanted to add another to the family. Sam was soon adopted by the Woods family, and treated like he had been there since the day that he was born. He gained an older sister by two years, and a younger brother by one.

Walking home from his part time job at a hardware store this summer, that is when Sam was kidnapped and sent to Project Untamed.

Biography

"Well, let's see... I've been dancing practically since I could walk. When I was little I used to spin in circles around the living room and pretend I was on stage, performing for anyone who had eyes and would watch, which admittedly most of the time ended up being my dolls and toys. I was enrolled in dance class at In Motion as soon as I turned 5 and I've been there ever since! I started out in Ballet and now dance in basically all styles. There's so much I love about dancing, but when I move I'm just able to express myself freely in ways that words fail to capture. Haley, who's the owner of the studio, has always been so good to me. I work there now training the littlest kids (which helps me afford all of my training and classes), so I get the keys to go in whenever I want to and practice.

Mom and dad are both scientists, incredibly smart but highly uncreative and very rule oriented might I add. We've always wondered how I got the dancing gene, especially since they both have two left feet, but regardless they've always been supportive of my dreams. They primarily work in vaccine and drug development which unfortunately indicates that they work round the clock. They spend long hours at the lab, but always make a point to be home for family dinner at least twice a week. It doesn't matter to me anyway- it just means that I get to spend more nights at the studio. I have an older sister named Amber who's in college, but right now she's abroad which is so cool. She sends tons of pictures of her adventures and I'm so jealous of the places she's visiting.

After high school I'd love nothing more than to be a professional dancer! A pipe dream of mine has always been to be a Rockette at Radio City or dance on Broadway, but I'd also kill to dance with a professional Ballet company somewhere. Other ideas I've toyed around with are going abroad to dance with an international group of sorts or working in the entertainment industry either in parks or cruises- dancing and traveling the world would be surreal. But for now, I'm just trying to finish my junior year of high school without losing my mind."

Leo’s deepest fear, although he doesn’t show it, is losing the people that he loves. He’s incredibly protective by nature of those he cares about, but also this is a real human fear that has stuck with him throughout his whole life, even post memory loss.

History Pre-Memory Loss

Leo Brooks wasn’t always a problem child. He began life with a loving mother and younger sister, and although they didn’t have much money, they made the best of a bad situation. Yes, they may have all shared one bed in a small studio apartment, and yes, they may have not had heat and electricity some months, but they were happy because they had each other. However, relatives believed this living situation was not well suited for two young children, and they reported his mother to the authorities. Forcibly removed from his home at the age of 5, Leo and his sister were placed in the foster care system and subsequently separated. For years, he prayed that his mom would come and find him; come and rescue him. But, she never did. The trauma that Leo experienced from being taken away, as well as being split up from the only other family he had, was immense and would influence the trajectory of his life.

The young boy became reckless, rebellious, and inconsolable, bouncing from foster home to foster home as a result of his behavior. In some homes, Leo would resort to violent actions like throwing glass objects, slamming doors until they came off their hinges, and physically pushing or punching his foster siblings and parents. In other homes, he would break rules and attempt to sneak out or run away. He thought the more homes he would be rejected from, the more likely they would be to return him to his mother. But unfortunately, the opposite was the case. The vicious cycle continued and by the age of 17, Leo had been through 10 foster homes. Each one cited him as a nuisance, a rebel, and a difficult child who could not be reached. According to them, he was impossible.

A mere 4 days before he turned 18, hours away from being released from the foster care system as a legal adult, Leo’s final set of foster parents and case worker were approached by Dr. Hagerty and Dr. Wayman. They had heard of the misguided and problematic child and offered up a solution for all parties involved. The doctors explained the psychological and health consequences of frequent changes in placement for foster care children, which included negative developmental trajectories and poor adult outcomes, and recommended that Leo be sent to a special program in order to mitigate those risks. Thinking that this was the best course of action for him, his foster parents and case worker obliged, stripping Leo of his freedom just as he was about to grasp it. Project Untamed wasn't his "saving grace"... it was his doom.

Casual Clothing: The dark haired boy knows he looks good in whatever he wears, so he doesn't care too much what his wardrobe consists of. Jeans and t-shirts, gym shorts, some button down shirts, but mostly casual wear. He also takes every opportunity to not wear clothing, so it's not unusual to see him shirtless on his way back from the gym or Football practice. Leo also loves shoes, so he has a vast collection of pairs.

Leo Brooks can be a real asshole- there’s no reason to beat around the bush when it’s the truth! The 18 year old carries himself with the bravado of someone twice his age and the swagger of someone who knows he’s an alpha male. If “big dick energy” had a poster child, it would be Leo. He’s bossy by nature and always makes sure he gets his way. The ultimate goal is for him to come out on top, and he will do whatever it takes to get there, even if it means controlling those around him like pawns or stepping on someone else’s toes.

You always know where you stand with Leo, as the word "subtle" is not in his vocabulary. It’s clear as day if he likes you or not as well as if you’re worth his time. And if he likes you, consider yourself lucky! He only surrounds himself with those he feels match his integrity and drive and looks out for his friends like he’d look out for family; protective and territorial, you know you’ll be alright if you’re on his side. But if you say something wrong to him or look at him and his friends the wrong way, you’ll wish you didn’t. He has a hot temper and will easily get aggressive, not afraid of getting physical in order to get his point across.

A smooth talker, Leo always seems to know what to say and how to say it, especially when it comes to his love life and romantic endeavors. He’s known to be quite the ladies man (read: fuck boy) and has definitely made his way around the majority of Marble Heights... if you know what I mean. And much of an asshole as he is, well, he knows he’s attractive and certainly knows that others think so as well.

That was until Daphne and Henry Brooks came into the picture. She was a successful business woman who worked in start ups and he was a renowned plastic surgeon in the Bay Area. With all of the time they had spent on their careers, which was most of their lives, they hadn't nary considered conceiving a family of their own. It wasn't until they heard through their social circle about Leo that they knew that he was somehow meant to be with them. A product of the foster care system herself, Daphne believed that this boy deserved to be given a second chance, however difficult it would be to reign in his anger and frustration with the world, and be provided with the stability of a permanent home. And so, calls were made, the licensing process was severely expedited, and a month and a half after hearing about him for the first time, Leo James arrived at the Brooks' doorstep.

They'd be lying if they said the first six months weren't challenging. Leo was everything they had heard about from his previous placements and were warned about by the social workers, and somehow more. Disaster struck wherever he walked and it was exhausting trying to calm the fire that was continuous in his heart. But Daphne knew that underneath all of the rage and anger, there was a terrified boy who needed someone- anyone- to answer his clear calls for help, and thus she persisted. Eventually, after months of trying to reach him, something shifted. To this day, Daphne and Henry still don't know what exactly it was that caused the switch to flip, but Leo realized that the Brooks' weren't giving up on him and so he made the conscious decision to not give up on them. Trust was built from there, and most of the remaining flames were extinguished with time.

Of course, not everything was quelled once the official adoption went through and Leo James became Leo Brooks at age 12, but he had certainly grown out of his acting out phase and instead channeled his remaining emotions into his cocky and carefree demeanor. At that point, his parents (officially, after they signed the papers) could care less- as long as he didn't resort to physical violence like in previous years, he could act however he wanted. To them, it was just growing pains, something that teenagers went through. What mattered most was the boy finally felt at home somewhere, after being abandoned at a young age and having doors open and shut on him. Daphne and Henry did everything they could to help their son- enrolling him in the best schools possible and allowing him to channel his remaining aggression into after school sports like Football. If it weren't for them, it's doubtful that Leo would have ever left the system, and would have possibly resorted to dangerous and despicable means to survive.

To best set him up for success, the Brooks' enrolled Leo at Marble Heights Academy, and he has attended there since his Freshman year. He was roped in with the right crowd from day 1, which resulted in his popularity. Of course, his good looks and natural talent on the field helped, but something about the way he carried himself said it all without saying anything. He's excited for his senior year and looking forward to hopefully playing Football professionally after college.

Leo doesn't tell too many people the details about his past because he is shockingly sensitive regarding his upbringing and origin story. It's not something he's necessarily proud of, and compensates for it with his larger than life (and asshole-like) persona. If he's let you in on that part of himself and has opened up about his past, it means that he considers you an incredibly close friend. He doesn't want to seem marred by where he comes from, so he keeps it quiet.

Hi everyone, I'm so happy to hear that there's a lot of interest in this RP! Just a quick note, I've been counting in terms of our ratio and it looks like it's a little skewed towards female characters. So, unless you have already reserved a female character in a previous post (I've also included all of the reserved characters below), or you’ve mentioned it to me already, I'm going to put a hold on female characters for now (once everyone has posted their characters I'll do a count and open it up again if numbers permit). Fracesca could be seen roaming the halls of the school daydreaming and scheaming, not caring about anything but herself. If you say that to her face Frankie will take great offense. She cares! She’s a vegitarian to take a stand for the animals, even though she craves a good steak somtimes (“What do you mean quinoa isn’t ethically vegitarian?!”), she cares deeply about the refugee crisis (“If I had money I would totally donate”) but she is busy with painting and living her life. What’s a girl to do?

Rumors spread fast through the halls about Frankie being one of the school’s biggest teases. And rumors almost always has one foot in reality. Flirting is her favorite language to use on a daily bases and has been known to jump from guy to guy. Frankie loves to play with her ‘pray’, stinging them along and never settling with anyone. The thought of being tied
down scares her and in her mind symbolizes being caged.
Some of her former life still shines through in the fact that Francesca hates doing any kind of work. If she could choose she would rather have somebody else do everything for her while she sits in the art studio painting all day.

History Pre-Memory Loss

Born on a early summers evening Francesca Cornelia Allensworth was the first daughter of Walter & Naomi Allensworth. Being the middle child in a trio of very spoiled children gave Frankie a special world view. She lived in a world where anything was possible for her and her siblings, where compromise was nothing you had to think about. When one of the county’s best defence lawyers were your father, you didn’t have to worry much about consequences either.

The Allensworth trio consisted of Francesca, Charlotte and Richard. They could be seen moving through the social elite of Seattle with ease not having a care in the world, or at least that is what people said about them. The siblings were very close and did mostly everything together.

But then tragedy struck. Walter and Naomi got into a horrible car accident one rainy September night. After hours in the ICU waiting room, the siblings were informed by the doctor that unfortunately, they were not able to save their parent’s lives. Grief-stricken, they were comforted by the funds that their parents had left them so they at least could fend for themselves. Or so they thought anyway.

At it turns out Walter was not the upstanding citizen of the community that he portrayed outward. Not only was he deep indebted to one of Seattle’s biggest drug gangs it was also revealed that he had done business with a lot of shady clients to get where he was. That included taking bribes and tampering with evidence.
Meaning that the funds that were left for the Allensworth children were sucked dry very quickly. And this combined with the fact that neither Walter or Naomi had any living relatives to take the children resulted in them being separated and put into the foster system.

Being a teenager in the system was not an easy thing. The chance of someone wanting a 15-year-old was slim to none. So instead Frankie focused all of her time trying to find her siblings and figuring out a way where they could be together again.

She had almost given up when one day two Doctors by the names of Wayman and Hagerty came to the foster home. And for some reason, they were looking for healthy teenagers and not small children that most where. Being one of the few teenagers at the home Frankie decided to go with them. Being outside of the home would make it easier to maybe find her brother and sister. But that, as it turns out, was going to stay a dream for Frankie.

The first thing people notice about Millie Jean is her skittish behavior; she’s well ready to bolt at a moment’s notice and it is very apparent to others. It’s almost like she views everyone as a predator to her prey. Added to this, Millie Jean is awkward and often can’t explain to others why her need to flee is in place. She has a hard time connecting to other people without appearing as if she is uncomfortable in her own body, which she is. Her insecurity has led her to be quite shy at first, fearing others’ judgement and avoiding conversation unless a close friend is with her.

When you get past her awkward nature, Millie Jean is rather sarcastic and almost biting in her observations. Because she views everyone as a potential metaphorical hunter, Millie Jean tends to be rather cynical about others’ intentions for her. She is quick to devalue life, setting her expectations low to avoid disappointment. Beneath her cynical demeanor, Millie Jean is actually a daydreamer; she is stuck in the clouds to avoid reality. Even more so, Millie Jean is a hopeless romantic who just wants to be swept off her feet and have someone who loves her since she can’t love herself.

Millie Jean is scared of everything. Animals scare her until she gets used to them, people scare her until she realizes they are friendlies, and she fears the dark. The only normal fear that she doesn’t have is a fear of heights. In general, Millie Jean is just a fearful human being. When it comes to abstract fears, Millie Jean fears rejection. She feels as if everyone is judging her and she is scared that others’ won’t accept her, especially since not a lot of people have the palate for her personality.

Millie Jean’s father was an immigrant from the Ukraine and her mother a Dixie Belle with big dreams of becoming a singer. Her father died before she got to know him, not that it matters now, and Millie Jean grew up without really knowing her Ukrainian roots. When she was twelve, her paternal uncle came to live with them to help with financial needs and she was reintroduced into Ukrainian culture. Soon, her mother and uncle entered a relationship, in which Millie Jean greatly disapproved of. While she appreciated her uncle’s willingness to teach her about her own culture, she wasn’t blind to the fact that he was a bit of an asshole.

When Millie Jean was fifteen, her and her mother took a vacation to Los Angeles to look at apartments, hoping they could find something relatively cheap and her mother could pursue a career in singing. When they came back to Texas, they were welcomed with an empty house and an even emptier bank account. Her uncle had ran off with their money after he lost all of his gambling. Broke and heartbroken, Millie Jean and her mother soon went into debt. When it came time to pay off the loan shark, the two still didn’t have enough money.

It was Millie Jean who found it and Millie Jean who suggested it. She was desperate enough for money that she willingly signed up to become a test subject, begging her mom to let her do this. Her mother staunchly refused at first, but when the loan shark threatened violence, she caved. Millie Jean officially joined 𝙿𝚛𝚘𝚓𝚎𝚌𝚝 𝚄𝚗𝚝𝚊𝚖𝚎𝚍.
