@ihinka@BlueSky44@Kirah@rivaan@Nallore@FantasyChic@McHaggis@17th Day@Peridot
Present Day - S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy: August 14th, 2020 - 10:00 A.M.

"Millennials, they just get everything handed to them..." Jim joked, finally getting up from his seat. He went over to Marygold and extended his hand, before he turned completely to stone. He looked similar to the Thing - or a less shiny Colossus. "Agent Kennedy, hope we haven't gotten off to too much of a rocky start here." He flashed her a grin, before his body shifted back to normal and he winked at Mary.

"Nice to meet you," she said with a smile, shaking his hand. "Honestly, I'm used to the bad puns from other people over the years," she added, shaking her head.

Jim shrugged. Fitz-Simmons had gone over to the corner, doing some diagnostics on the equipment running the Framework. Although they had one hour in the simulation, it wouldn't cut off then. The simulation would only end when the agents either failed the mission beyond repair, succeeded at their task, or simply gave up. Chloe was making her rounds around the room, making sure that everyone was still showing steady vitals - though a few of the heart rate monitors had picked up from stress. "It's what's kept me sane - ever since I became whatever this is," he said with a chuckle, his hand now turning to stone.

"When I first got my powers, it was 2 years before I went to the mansion. I was not allowed to set foot on any sort of grassy surface, or dirt. I was basically stuck on cement because otherwise if I walked on the ground there would be a trail of flowers bursting into bloom behind me... Not everyone likes having their powers, or can control them completely, just depends. Some members of the X-Men have slight problems controlling their powers still, even if they've had them for years," she said simply, looking at him.

"Covert ops, Eastern Europe. Ever heard of Mount Wundagore - near Serbia?" Jim asked her. "They had some experimental tech...Science goes over my head, but I should've died. Instead, I could give the Rock a run for his money these days." He chuckled and gave her a smile, pulling a pack of gum out of his pocket and offering her a piece. "But instead I try to clean up Fury's messes for him and avoid his bullshit...Like putting these people through this? It's madness. At least I can try to make the transition easier for them....Can you imagine if some random person was in charge of helping them? It'd be a fucking nightmare."

"Yeah, probably... A lot of people still can't control their powers at the mansion. One guy, Lance, he kind of turns into a free laser light show when he loses his temper, or his emotions get out of control. Having someone else here that knows about powers probably will help them out."

Jim couldn't help but grin hearing that. "Sorry, that's uh...That's my nephew's name."

The Framework: 30 Minutes Remaining

Team Glitches (@Peridot@17th Day):

So far, there was no sign of the others for Griff or Sami, leaving them on their own on the top floor of the building. It was entirely possible that the rest of the team didn't even know they were there. The glitch could've made it so they didn't even register on Agent Reed's tablet - only a computer expert would really be able to determine the extent of it, of course, and anyone skilled with computers just so happened to be on Team Reed or Team Abercrombie. But by no means are these two agents truly alone. The relative silence was broken by a radio going off. "Quicksilver - we've got enhanced hostiles coming in. They're S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Do you need reinforcements?"

If Griff or Sami glanced around the corner one more time, they'd finally be able to get a good glimpse at the hostages. Roughly half a dozen X-Men members were tied up against the wall. One of them would look familiar to Griff - and Sami ought to recognize her, as they share a godfather. "...What did you do to me..." she mumbled, her skin incredibly pale and she was sweating at the same time. It was as if she had been drugged.

"No need," he replied in the radio, before looking at Guin Stark, the only (known) daughter of Tony Stark and the heiress to Stark Industries. "Don't worry, nothing major, just kind of something to keep you living, so don't worry too much about it," Quicksilver said with a slight smirk.

Of course, she wasn't the only one that seemed out of it. Oshea Jackson, another speedster, was gravely injured and partially slumped over as he sat next to Allison Andrews. Ayita Dyrkin had been knocked unconscious and Damon Fawkes had severe burns covering his body. "Why'd you betray us..." Guin murmured, feeling like she was going to throw up and she had a massive fever. She was sitting next to Marygold Isley, the badly battered leader of the X-Men.

"Well, you aren't going to end up dead from this virus thingy, so that's the plus side of this."

Mary was kind of out of it. She had been hit pretty hard over the head, and at the very least had several ribs cracked. Coughing slightly, a little bit of blood coming from her mouth, she tried to focus on what was going on around her, but she was finding it to be really hard. There was blood coming from her head, and she closed her eyes to stop the world from spinning. She didn't know really what to do in this situation, and she wasn't going to be much help to the others either.

Carolina slowly opened her eyes and lets out a slight groan in pain her head felt like it was going to explode, she looked around seeing the other members of the X-Men. She could hear Guin and Pietro talking to one another, she knew she shouldn't have trusted Quicksilver at all. "We trusted you Piet." Carolina had a black eye and a gash on the side of her head. "I guess you are still like your pops."

Allison kept a hand on Oshea, worried the speedster was not going to make it if they continued, but she kept as stoic a face as she could muster. Falling into this obvious trap hurt more than the injuries on her body. "It's not too late, you can fix this! Those people don't have to die!" Appealing to hopefully whatever kind nature Pietro had left in him, Allison could barely stand.

Team Abercrombie (@FantasyChic@ihinka@McHaggis@BlueSky44@Nallore):

Unfortunately, the songs on the cassette tape will remain a mystery - unless one of you just happened to be carrying around a tape player. But from the note written on it, it's a safe bet that it'll contain at least Billy Joel's hit Uptown Girl. As you head for the staircase a few doors down, you'll find another piece of the puzzle. It's an empty syringe and unfortunately, the label has been scrubbed off. There's no telling what it used to contain or who it was administered to - perhaps Agent Bautista could tell, but she's off in a different group.

And while Quicksilver and the hostages are on the fourth floor, your team (of course) doesn't know this. As you exit onto the second floor to begin sweeping and securing the upper floors one by one, you'll realize it looks like an ordinary office area. There are computers all around at several cubicles. There's even cute little drawings parents have pinned up from their children, to give them a burst of positivity in order to get through the day.

Oh, and then there's this man - Victor Creed, better known as Sabretooth. Your team has been spotted due to its large size and relatively noisy approach up the staircase. Sabretooth doesn't give you a moment to react before he's charged and grabbed one of your teammates - Agent Hale - and thrown him across the room. The telepath hits the wall but he's lucky. Sabretooth has been known to kill his opponents without remorse - Hale is just battered and bruised at the moment.

Sabretooth lets out another roar. Question is - which member of your team will he attack next?

Dominika Novikova

Framework Location: Lab Front Entrance
Skills: Dimensional Energy Perception (Passive), Jack of All Trades (Engineering), Jack of All Trades (Science)

The radio Bautista had grabbed would go off once more, relaying the following message - "Quicksilver - we've got enhanced hostiles coming in. They're S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Do you need reinforcements?" Hearing that message sent a small chill down Novikova's spine. She doubted that a speedster would ever need reinforcements. And as she heard Quicksilver's reply that none were needed, she began to be filled with a huge sense of dread. She had a bad feeling about this. She picked at her nails slightly as she thought.

She wasn't an expert in computers, but she had had to take plenty of courses in computer engineering at Sci-Tech. For this program to function properly, it wasn't as simple as Fury saying "I want this and this, damn it, make it happen" to Agents Fitz and Stark. With such an in depth program as the Framework, it had to be performing advanced probability functions. Novikova felt as if she was on the cusp of understanding something intrinsic about the Framework, when the Operations and Communications agents began to engage the hostiles.

Laine was already down for the count, and Wonderland was gagging on foam from a fire extinguisher. Lizzie managed to spit out the foam and she was glaring and smiling at the same time, looking a bit crazed as she leapt forward. But instead of going for Valencia, the one who attacked her, she grabbed Agent Rivera by the wrist and held onto her tightly. "Go to sleep, babe," Lizzie whispered. Rivera dropped to the ground a moment later, hallucinating profusely. Lizzie then glanced at the others.

"Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you." She then smirked and suddenly, no one would be able to see anyone else. Lizzie's power over illusions allowed her to create one where everyone seemed to vanish. Novikova looked around, her eyes wide. She took off her glasses, wondering if that would let her see, but nope. She still couldn't see anyone. In fact, only Niah would be able to see through the illusion if she chose to enhance her sight.

"It's an illusion, isn't it?" Novikova asked tentatively, looking around but she still couldn't see anyone.

Day 6, will be day 7 soon.

@McHaggis@Peridot

Day 5 you two. I'll be updating here tomorrow.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: 052 Forrester Drive

Jenna just shrugged. She wasn't really sure how to explain the demonic activity anymore than she already had. "Look, next step is simple - demons seem to just be parasites. So all we need to do is figure out who Sig-bitch is possessing and then ask around to see if anyone's seen him. He's probably just operating out of his house or something." Sure, maybe she was being blunt and just getting to the point, but it was the way she operated. They had a decent lead on how to find Riley. Jenna was certain that if they could find the house of the poor sap Sig-bitch was possessing, they'd get another lead.

"Anyways, did the guy he was possessing look familiar to either of you?" Jenna asked, getting a glass of water and drinking it slowly. It wouldn't be too long until Abe got there and she was already feeling mildly irritated with the questions he was going to ask her. She couldn't help but wonder, however, how he'd react when she revealed that she could see ghosts. Of course! "Maybe I just need to ask the Mayor who the demon is possessing and if they had any other known meeting points, beyond the abandoned house...I doubt they'll use that location again."

Virginia Crypt

Location: Inn in Nottingham
Skills: History (Crypt Family)

Virginia nodded, reflecting on Mary's provided information. It made sense and wasn't anything out of the ordinary, yet she supposed she perhaps had been gone on her walk longer than had been expected. As much as she understood and agreed with the need to save Millicent, but it struck her as rather odd for Mary to make such a suggestion. From what she understood of Mary's belief systems, all life was sacred and none was held above any other. She had expected Mary to wish to save the child - in addition to saving Millicent. Yet she also had to confess that she did not understand much of the Christian religion - just as much as any other Crypt family member did who was raised in European society and culture.

"Yes, I am not a Catholic...And I am not a Christian," Virginia replied, as Mary brought up the subject of blessing her axes. From what she recalled, she was not certain blessing her axes would bring her any added strength in battle. "I am what you would call a pagan - a worshipper of the dark arts and the ways of the wicked," Virginia then explained. She took no offense to those terms and she found their descriptive nature was at times helpful for explaining to the few who broached the subject with her.

"Perhaps another time, I can tell you about my patron deity - the Dark Mother, Veliona, guardian of the dead," Virginia added with a sweet smile. Her eyes caught the window just in time to see Elizaveta wave and she glanced back at Mary, knowing it was time that they left. Their animals had been attended to and time was in short supply. "After you, Mary," Virginia said softly, as she opened the door and beckoned for her dear friend to head out to join Elizaveta first, with Virginia then following afterwards.

Maeve Brennan

Location: Kirkpatrick House
Skills: Deception

Maeve overheard Lady Kirkpatrick's comment yet she did not allow her face to show any change in emotions, especially having glimpsed the look in Lady Kirkpatrick's eyes. She knew that she had said the phrase for a purpose, stating that subtle jab for some reason and it had given Maeve a moment of emotional pause. Had Lady Kirkpatrick already discovered that she had been sent there to spy upon the family? With someone as cunning and clever as Lady Kirkpatrick (at least claimed to be), she doubted that she would have been simply dismissed. She would have either been made an example of or perhaps asked to spy on the rival Clan in turn.

"Thank ye kindly," Maeve told Charles, giving him a charming smile as she followed after him, carrying her belongings. She figured that she'd be able to reflect on Lady Kirkpatrick's words for a long time before any critical action was taken. Rushing things and jumping to conclusions never helped anyone. This was just a game of cards - she had to read her opponent and figure out the best move to take, nothing more. She had started her life with nothing and ended up joining an influential Irish gang, with a sweet little angel for a daughter. She wasn't about to mess that up right now.

"So m'lord, what sort of t'ings do ya like to do?" Maeve asked, smiling sweetly at the boy as they walked.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Laredo Colombia Solidarity Port of Entry
Skills: Marvel Universe Knowledge

"I mean, you know how the song goes, right?" Cecily commented with a smile. "When Captain America throws his mighty shield! / All who choose to oppose his shield must yield! / Unless you're a plane / Or a bomb / Or some ice / Then he'll choose to take a nap / Cause the ice seems nice!" she sang softly. They weren't the lyrics to the original song - though Cecily also had those memorized - but rather, the HISHE parody. They were one of her favorite YouTube channels to watch and engage in content about her favorite things with. CinemaSins was always too critical for her taste - which she supposed was ironic, given that she was a critical person herself.

Cecily then pulled out her own passport, flipping through it briefly. There had been moments when she was younger when she had wondered if she might as well get her passport as a tattoo or a sticker to put on her arm, with how often she had needed to use it. She glanced over at Natasha, biting her lip slightly. She had almost managed to forget that Natasha was incredibly sick for a few hours, until now as she started coughing. "Maybe we can get you some water or something," Cecily suggested softly.

Nancy Parker & Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Near the Oak Tree ----> Room 200 Room 109
Skills:

Nancy was cackling with glee after Sophia had startled to children. Sure, the bit at the end with the walking dead was a bit obvious for someone from Sophia's timeline, but the looks of shock and fear on the kid's faces as Sophia "lost" an arm and then got right back up? Priceless! She was snickering to herself, recalling a particular prank from her past that had ended up getting turned into something of a legend. Of course, it wasn't nearly as dramatic as everyone claimed it had been. Yes she had entered a blind man in an archery contest and yes someone had gotten shot, but they lived. Well, for another couple years before dying of illness. It certainly hadn't caused Ragnarok or anything like that.

"Going to bed already?" Nancy asked, disappointed. She supposed it was close to reset and all the children had been ushered off. She glanced over at Gilbert, moderately annoyed that he had decided to tag along as an additional chaperone, but whatever. She could live with it. She glanced around for a moment, wondering if she should go and bother Giouse, before she shrugged and without a word, left to return to the house. As Nancy practically skipped inside and then dashed up the steps, taking them three at a time, she knocked obnoxiously on Giouse's door before running into her own room and jumping into bed.

As she bounced upwards, a rain of glitter and sparkles came up from her pillow and Nancy let out a shriek. While most people would have been irritated with the glitter bomb, Nancy LOVED it. She always felt Ville au Camp was too drab and dreary, but hey, that was the 1940's for you. "THANK YOU!!!!!" she screamed, not caring if she woke anyone up as she continued to bounce up and down on her bed, enjoying the seemingly never ending rain of sparkles and glitter. She was covered in it, as was most of her things. Eventually, she'd run out of energy - but for now, she was bouncing up and down on the bed, knowing that reset would clean it all anyways.

Meanwhile outside, Andromeda nodded as she took in the information. It sounded like most of her fellow Paradoxes had come from some sort of Zombie Survivor type of world. However, it confused her at the same time. How had the outbreak gotten that bad? In her world, even when things were horrible and it looked like civilization was about to end, hunters had always swooped in and saved the day. It was perhaps the only thing that redeemed her timeline, in her opinion. "So you guys had zombies, then," Andromeda summarized. She couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for her timeline. At least they had managed to keep civilization going.

"We had...everything. Ghosts, demons, angels, Norse gods, changelings, pixies, wendigos, witches...My half-brother, he was familiar with Satanic rituals and stuff. Pretty much everything was real - people tended to ignore it and the government kept on covering it all up...Only thing that I'm not sure if it was real or not would be aliens, really," Andromeda explained. She couldn't help but feel a bit awkward. "We had things like zombies too...Croatoan virus...but it never got that bad. Hunters shut it down - like my half brother, he was involved in this sort of stuff."

She then nodded as the other Paradoxes started to turn in for the night. "I should get some rest too...I'm feeling drained," unfortunately only Alicia would likely get that slight pun, as Andromeda nodded once more and then headed off to her room, going inside and sitting down on the bed as she took a deep breath to center her mind before bed.

Folly Valeska

Location: Stark Tower - Top Level (Floor 93)

Folly couldn't help but feel a bit sad, having returned to the top floor with Future Pietro. She had thought that she'd be better equipped to handle her brain chemistry without her medication, but its absence had already resulted in one near outburst. At least no one had gotten hurt - aside from the blonde girl whose foot Folly had stomped on. "O să-mi cer scuze lui Allison..." Folly then whispered to Future Pietro. She couldn't help but feel guilty too that Dr. Banner was focusing on making medication for her, rather than devoting his genius to fighting the Sentinels.

Even though she knew why she had been selected to go back in time, Folly couldn't help but feel she was a poor choice. It was easy for people to mistake Pietro or Thalia as the powerhouses of the group - but she was the only one that could heal quickly enough to adapt to any situation. She was the secret weapon of the group and her madness, as much as she feared it, only made her stronger when she fought against Sentinels and agents of O.M.E.N. Her weaknesses became strengths as she took up the mantle Wolverine had left to her.

"Bine, du-te," he responded with a smile.

Folly nodded, before she went off at a sprint towards the hallway and she went down there, recalling the descriptions from Future Guin. She stumbled upon the home theater room and she walked inside, stopping with wide eyes as she spotted Professor X. The last time she had been face to face with him, he had thrown her out of the mansion. She shut her eyes then, remembering the events that had lead up to it. She had stabbed a member of the X-Men - it had been an accident. Mary had almost gotten hurt. And Professor X had Wolverine take her away, dropping her off at a mental facility.

She was shaking and wringing her hands as she forced herself to open her eyes. "...Allison," she whispered. "I am sorry for attacking you. My medication is....was...I..." She then decided she couldn't take it anymore and she ran out of the room as quickly as she had entered, taking deep breaths by herself in the hallway.

Dean Kesseli

Location: Stark Tower - Top Level (Floor 93)

Dean had called his parents and insisted that they let him stick around with everyone else for a little while. He was eighteen years old, he had reminded them, and he thought this was finally something he could be good at. He hadn't ever felt as much a sense of purpose and belonging than he did when he was calling the younger student's parents, letting them know that little Sara-Maria or Vasili or Blake were alright. As he was reassuring one of the more panicked parents, after a call where he had to pretend that they were just an ordinary boarding school that got mixed up in the crossfire, he actually smiled slightly.

The guidance counselors at the school had always been asking him what he wanted to do with his life - and his best answer, so far, was to make his own band. But now he had a more tentative idea of what he wanted to do - he wanted to help others. And he didn't mean joining the X-Men and becoming a fighter. He wanted to help people in a different way. Maybe as a first responder or a member of the Peace Corps or something. He hadn't applied to any colleges so he couldn't help but feel that this was a good option for him. Otherwise, he figured he'd just end up hanging around the mansion for the rest of his life.

"That's all of last names L-Z," Dean announced, as he hanged up his final phone call. He then ate a twinkie that he had snatched from Pietro earlier, feeling a bit hungry.

Guin Stark

Location: Stark Tower - Top Level (Floor 93)

Guin was blushing faintly still from when Pietro had pulled her aside for an impromptu make out session - but she would have been lying if she claimed she hadn't been into it. She had been a more than willing participant. She nodded as Mary and Tony told them the plans for the next hour or so. It seemed to be the only way they could handle these things - one hour at a time. "Yeah, we should probably figure out what I'm going to say to him...though winging it is more my style," Guin admitted with a shrug. She then saw Lance standing off in his pouting corner. "Hold on a sec though, guys..."

She then walked across the room, until she was standing next to Lance in the corner. She put her arm around him. "How're you holding up, Lando?" she asked quietly.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just too many people... Why do you ask?" he said, not looking at her, just staring out the window.

"Robots trying to kill us, you talking with your father, my boyfriend coming from the future where apparently we're married, the mansion blowing up...It's been a shitstorm of a day," Guin explained. "Want to make sure my best bud is okay."

"Yeah, well I'm fine, just kind of want to be left alone..." he muttered. Pietro was glaring in their direction, but he had yet to move from his spot. "My dad was being a little ridiculous... You missed the big blow up in the lab, almost had a Hulk problem to add on top of our other ones..."

Guin couldn't help but laugh slightly at that. "Did he do the entire I'm always angry speech too?" she asked, doing a Michael Keaton voice for part of her sentence. Lance's father was ridiculous almost all of the time, in her opinion. When he wasn't working on something in the lab, he always seemed to be at one extreme of the emotional spectrum - and pretending that that wasn't at all the case. She didn't notice Pietro glaring at them and she still had her arm around Lance.

"No, but he doesn't seem to want to leave me alone, as always..." he said with a small smile. Now Pietro zipped over, pulling Guin slightly away from Lance.

Guin couldn't help but be a little bit surprised, turning to look at Pietro who now had his arm around her. "...Hi Pietro," she said awkwardly. She then turned back to Lance. "Well, I doubt he'll ever really change...He seems to have a static personality, y'know. Still can't believe he and Aunt Nat tried dating, that was weird..."

"Yeah... He freaks out too much... You'd think he'd learn that I can handle myself..." Lance said, his voice barely above a whisper, Pietro was still glaring at him.

"I think he's always going to see you as that little kid who'd never been to New York before, synthesizing crystals in one of our labs," Guin answered honestly. She noticed Lance's voice drop and she glanced at Pietro, seeing the look of anger in his face. "...Okay, what's going on between you two?"

"Nothing..." Lance muttered.

"Nothing you need to concern yourself with Guina."

Guin raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Then explain to me why you two are clearly hating each other, despite having never met before - and I'd really prefer it if you'd at least try to get along, since Piet, Lance is like a brother to me and Lance, you know Piet's the most serious and healthy relationship I've had."

"Whatever... Can you leave me alone in my corner now?"

"Fine with me," Pietro said, before he started dragging Guin away.

"Let go of me," Guin grumbled. "And he's freaking out Piet and needs a friend, I don't get why you're glaring at him but I'm not going to abandon him...."

"He asked to be left alone, so leave the guy alone."

"What's gotten into you?" Guin muttered, entirely oblivious to the obvious - that Lance had a thing for her and Pietro knew it. She knew Pietro was the jealous type and while she could normally pick up on it, she didn't see it in this instance. She only ever really saw Lance as a friend and a pseudo-brother, nothing more, so it didn't occur to her. "Why are you being so possessive..."

"...Honestly I thought it was obvious... You do realize that guy has a thing for you right? And I'm pretty sure your dad knows it too."

"...That's just crazy talk, Pietro. He's basically my brother."

"Just saying, wouldn't be surprised, he likes you Guin, saw that the instant I met him. He is literally as obvious as can be, and you are the only one, I swear, who can't see it."

Guin couldn't help but have a quick series of flashbacks to all of the times she had ever snuggled up with Lance on the couch to watch a movie and fell asleep next to him. "...Whatever. Even if that's true, you can't just glare at him Piet! He's my best friend!"

"Yes I can."

"...If you keep on glaring at him and being mean to him, no more Star Trek and Kisses time," Guin said, crossing her arms even though he hadn't let go of her.

Erik and Ellie

Ellie continued to fiddle with the radio, wishing that she had a stick of gum or something to chew on. Everything was so boring and slow and she couldn't help but be irritated. "Ya got any kids, mon ami?" Ellie asked, figuring they might as well strike up a topic of conversation. "'Cause Charles, he seems t' think that I need a dad or somethin' - I swear he'd correct my grammar in my diary if I had one," she mentioned with a laugh.

"No, I don't have any kids Ellie," Erik said with a laugh as he drove. They were going on a little bit of a drive. There was some Scottish friend of Charles' who worked for the US government in some division or another, Moira McTaggert was her name. They needed to meet up with her first, before they did anything else.

Ellie pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a drag and then blowing out the smoke, pretending that she was a dragon. She always loved stories with dragons in them, though her brothers had told her that dragons were the devil's dog - which always made them sound secretly more amazing to her, but she knew what they had meant. It was something against their lifestyle and religion, so it needed to be destroyed - just like her. She shuddered slightly as the still fresh memory of Olivier and Henri trying to burn her at the stake came to mind. "Ya ever want kids?"

"To be honest, I never really thought much about it... Especially since technically, I am in my 40's, though because of a bit of meddling I'm a lot younger now. I don't know if I want to have kids. I'm not against the idea, but I'm not sure if I want any..." he responded. He wasn't too sure about having kids, especially since despite how he looked, he was in his 40's, and most people didn't really think about having kids of any kind at that age.

"For what it's worth, connard, I think you'd be a bang up dad," Ellie commented, taking another drag from her cigarette. She was trying to resist the urge to ask how long it'd be until they arrived at their destination, since in her opinion, it was already taking way too long for them to get there.

Erik chuckled slightly at that, "I'd have to agree with you, doubt I'd be a good father, but it doesn't matter much now does it? Having a family in a world that tries to harm mutants? Not exactly one I'd want to raise kids in."

Ellie laughed. "Ya really don't know any slang, do ya mon amie? Bang up is a good thang - like bitchin'. Like - like I think you'd be a bitchin dad, Erik," she explained, giggling. However, her smile abruptly faded as her thoughts once more went towards the violence mutants faced. Her moods could swing like this and she tossed her cigarette out of the car. "They don't just try to harm mutants....They kill us."

"Which is why we are doing, what we are doing, to make sure it ends, so no one else has to deal with that hopefully. Make a better future for everyone," he said, reassuringly, "Though sometimes I wonder if we should try a more direct approach to everything, fight back as opposed to sneaking around."

"Honestly, mon copain, je pense que...eh, I think we'd be better off killing these people. They already want us dead. Don't see why we should turn the other cheek."

"We need to try out different options first, then we can see about that..."
