Roxanne’s Journal Entry:
It's the night before Diana's wedding. We're sitting in the balcony of her hotel suite enjoying the sounds of a night in Thailand: just me, her and too many cosmopolitans, talking about the good ole' high school days. The conversation eventually falls on Dusty, and I can immediately see the way Di's eyes fill up with tears. We doesn't take long for her to say out loud the words she's probably been holding back for years:
"I love him, Roxy. I'd trade all the money in the world to be marrying him instead."
Next thing I know, Diana had collapsed between my arms, sobbing her heart out as I feel my own breaking for her. It went on for what seemed like hours, and only ended when I'd tucked my precious blonde into bed.
The next day, I watched as two of my best friends swore undying love to each other in the altar. Diana was a breathtaking bride, and she looked happy alongside her new husband. But although we never spoke about that night again, I know that Di's still madly in love with Dusty.
"I love him, Roxy. I'd trade all the money in the world to be marrying him instead."

Twenty-eight years ago, Diana Josephine Lancaster was born under the sign of the ram to Ferdinand and Vilma Lancaster on the first day of May- the couple’s only baby. As a child, the girl was nothing short of a social butterfly. Her cheerful and outgoing demeanor made it easy for the bubbly blonde to make and keep friends. Di also did well in her studies, and dabbled in whichever extracurricular activities interested her at the time. She performed in various school plays, participated in academic competitions, had numbers in school talent shows, was part of a few sporting teams... All the while keeping top grades in her classes.
When she reached middle school, Diana’s social life rapidly began to pick up. It started out innocently at first: pool parties, sleepovers, movies, bowling, shopping trips… But by the time she was fourteen, Di had begun to experiment with pushing the boundaries her parents had set for her. Because of the Lancaster's positions at work, they found themselves traveling more often than not and leaving their daughter alone, but always with clear instructions that she was not allowed to go out or have anyone over during the time they were away. Of course, being the sneaky teen that she was, Diana took advantage of the situation. She decided to have a handful of friends over- including a boy two years her senior that she’d had a crush on for a while now. Unbeknownst to Di, her parents’ flight had been canceled until the following day, and they'd decided to head back home in the meantime…

After this incident, the Lancasters had had enough of their daughter’s behavior, and decided that sending her away to live with her grandparents in Texas would hopefully straighten her out before it was too late.

Admirers were a plenty- all eager to score a chance with the shiny new toy straight outta Rhode Island. But, alas, the blonde’s eyes did not wander away from one devilishly handsome cowboy with puppy dog eyes and the voice of an angel.

Dustin Rockhold saved her from a particularly irritating band of pricks at a party, and the two older teens quickly tangled themselves up in what was probably the most intense relationship either of them had ever experienced. The next morning, strong lower abdomen cramps and a pool of blood woke her up, and a visit to the doctor only served to further break her. Tests had been conducted: she’d been eight weeks pregnant with Dusty's baby... A child she had unfortunately miscarried.
Deciding that Gatling was but a cursed town that had brought only suffering to her life, Diana packed up her belongings and boarded a plane with a one-way ticket back home.
