My blade carries with it the harsh frost of the wintry winds. Dancing with the rage of a blizzard, its speed matches the transience of an icy petal.

Welcome traveler. I see you've stumbled upon my profile, nice to meet ya.

About Me
I'm just your average 9-5 schmuck. I do my work, pay my bills, and contribute what I can to society. I also happen to enjoy binge-watching/reading anime, manga/light novels, tv dramas, and pretty much anything that catches my interest. I'm also an avid gamer, my favorite genres tend to change with time. Right now it's probably JRPG, hack-slash, and fighting.

Roleplaying
I originally joined this site several years back, having gotten my feet wet only recently at that point as an RPer. I was recommended this site by a pal of mine (@PaulHaynek) and joined a couple of his RPs. However, due to RL stresses I had to take a break from the world of RPing and took sometime for self-reflection. After a 2 year absence, I'm back in saddle and ready to further stretch my creative muscles. As for what roleplays I like, I enjoy anything action-oriented. I'm fine with any settings for the most part, though I'm more inclined toward the magical and sci-fi. Also, I've gained a sort of preference for RPs that allow users to play as multiple characters, but solo is fine either way. Here's a list to give a better idea of my tastes.

- Fantasy/medieval
- Dystopian
- Steampunk
- Sci-fi
- Apocalypse/Post-Apocalyptic
- Generally anything anime/manga related
- Adventure and Combat oriented
- Romance here and there is fine too

That's all for now, reader. If you decide to post an interest check for an RP idea, you just might find me posting a character profile ready to be reviewed. Don't be afraid to give me a shout if you'd like a Co-DM to bounce ideas off of as well.

Until then.

Kazenosuke's House

Shizuka prepared his counter and made a dash toward Yuki, at the same time Io prepped a magic cage to trap the Dancing Blade in to final end the battle. However, it seemed that Shizuka's gambit wasn't even needed, as instead of making a last-ditch countermeasure Kazenosuke opted to cheekily dodge Yuki's charge. He watched with childish amusement as the Oni crashed through his house, making a new entrance in the shape of a large hole. The humble insides of his home were revealed to the party; It was fairly simple and had only the necessities. As a man of similar feather, Shizuka wasn't surprised and could relate to his fellow swordsman taste in abode. Now trapped in Io's cade, all Kazenosuke did was point and laugh at Yuki's failed attack. Shizuka stepped into the hole made the the house, looking back to Kazenosuke with a look of annoyance. Checking to see if Yuki was ok, seeing her back on her feet with no issues and quickly wiping herself off gave him an obvious answer. She was a mamono, after all, so it should be no surprise.

He then walked back over to Io, who was now healing the injured Kazenosuke. "I had no idea you had such an inane side to you, Kazenosuke-san." He said, shaking his head. "I certainly hope the damage done to your home was well worth the 5 seconds of laughter you gained from it." Shizuka gave Io a perplexing glance at her odd statement toward the man, noticing the wink she gave him as well. He supposed that was her deadpan attempt at flirting? She quickly tried to change the subject by addressing Shizuka and Yuki, who had just walked up to them. She appeared to have helped herself to a piece of the swordsman's cupware for her trouble.

"I believe it is safe to assume that Kazneosuke is satisfied with our display today. Which means, he wouldn't mind following us back to Terauchi Temple." Shizuka replied. He then turned to Yuki. "Yukis-san." He started. "I had tried to warn you not to just rush in haphazardly. Just because you have an opponent backed into a corner doesn't mean that you should grasp at victory the moment you have it in sight." It may have been a little preachy, but Shizuka's seen too many fighters lose bouts they should've won, simply because they were too careless.

"What say you, Dancing Blade, will you come with us to meet with Takeshi and the rest of the Taskforce?" He said, looking back at Kazenosuke.

Terauchi Temple

Atsuha barely paid any attention to her surroundings for the time being, still lost in thought over today's events. Still, she could feel the rejuvenating effects of the spring at work, and certainly felt better than she did before. She remembered that she told Hinami that it's best not to linger on negative thoughts and emotions. Besides, thankfully none of their allies were harmed by Hinami during her tirade. In addition, she was safely resting back at the temple with the others. Skarsneek and Gringor proved they were both more than capable of handling her should she go berserk again, knowing that further put her mind at ease. That was before she overheard two peasant women gossiping about something, she could barely make out what they were saying. Something about witnessing Lord Takeshi? Witnessing him doing what exactly? It was honestly a little annoying hearing all these rumors spreading about the young heir; He was out here risking his life to defend his homeland against invaders, and there's still citizenry who'd rather speak of unsavory rumors about him. The nerve made the spider grit her fangs.

For now, she'd do her best to tune it out and continue to soak in the springs.

--

Hinami began to rustle a bit in her sleep, and Skarsneek would hear her utter a single word. "Mother..." Her voice still holding it's eerie wail, which didn't bode well. With her turning, Skarsneek would have to tighten his hold on his sister-in-law, otherwise the temple was in for an unpleasant surprise.
Saya's not a danger to anyone.

So long as you don't mess with her booze or books. At that point, I can't guarantee anyone's safety...
@Yankee@Mae

I'm perfectly fine with that. Always up for anything that strengthens character dynamics.

And no worries, take your time on the skills. Was the Fire/Flora element combo fine?
@AzureKnight which 2 magical elements would you like Saya to be strongest in?

Fire and flora if that's fine. If not, then will dark work as the second element?

Maison d’Violette

Lucrecia bow politely at Tiki's introduction. She followed along with the others into the next room, but was rather taken aback by what she saw promptly after. The "fitting" room was an utter mess, for lack of a better word. Sewing materials and looms of half-finished cloth littered the floor at almost every given turn. Threads of yarn laid messily in droves everywhere; This in addition to the interior having little light and lack of any windows gave it a dungeon-like feel that gave it a gloomy mood. She supposed that because this was a fitting room, she could understand the lack of windows, but the pigsty display was seriously kicking Lucrecia's OCD into overdrive. She had half a mind to start tidying up the room at that very moment. That would have to wait, as Tiki stated they could begin fitting Eliz for her new maid dress, with Mariarca directing the demon girl to undress.

Eliz, herself, gleamed at the directive. Befitting her species, she proudly ripped off her current garments and paraded her naked body on display. She fully expected for everyone in the room to swoon and marvel at all of her assets. However, Lucrecia simply stared at her with a blank expression.

"Love, I'm afraid that no one is here to ogle you. Well, at least I'm not..." Lucrecia couldn't speak on the tastes of her fellow operatives. She then cleared her throat, and pulled out a tape measure she apparently had stored on her person for this occasion. "Now, hold still while I take your measurements."
@Mae

Reposting here, in case you wanted to look her over again.

@AzureKnight As I haven't heard anything from the other two curious potential players, would you like the last RP spot before I close it?

I'd be more than happy to take the spot. ^^

Lapis, having further witnessed the handiwork of Scarlett’s rapacious transformation, was made rather sick to her stomach right along with Hector. Apparently, cannibalism was another skill in the alchemist’s repertoire; she looked away as she started to chow down on the now deceased mercenary, honestly she felt that the poor man had been through enough already. Despite his blatant disrespect for nature.

She then turned her attention to the surrounding Makara that still encroached on them; Using her body altering alchemy, Scarlett had a multitude of spikes jet out from her. The eruption of metal barbs pierced the flesh of the aquatic beasts. As the skewers retracted, strange electric blue liquid was revealed to be dripping from them. Hector and Herne did their part as well, as the serpentine spirit jumped through an alchemy gate that Scarlett had generated. After he emerged, his fangs were dripping with the same blue liquid that the metal thorns had. Hector responded to Shavis' inquiry by deciding to take care of the raging beasts himself. With a chant, Hector summoned numerous smaller snakes to his side, and had each of them jump through the gates to be imbued with the antidote. They then bombarded the Makara, sinking their liquid infused fangs into their flesh to cure them.

At that point, Lapis could then feel the minds of the impaled beasts start to simmer down, reverting back to how they were originally. ”I think I can finally communicate with them now.” She said.

Lapis made a sign with her hands and her eyes began to glow an icy blue, and soon her whole body was enveloped with an azure aura. Creatures of the still waters, please be at ease. Your lands are safe now, and no longer shall they be plagued by toxins. I beseech you to return back to your territory, for we are not your enemies. While Lapis was outwardly silent, she was mentally communicating with the Makara in an attempt to calm them. Thanks to the antidote that Scarlett had concocted, her method was successful as all of the beasts - wounded or not - retreated from the hut and back to the parts of the swamp that usually inhabited. With her magic accomplishing its task, the glow around her died out and her eyes returned to normal. She let out a deep sigh and turned to her comrades, looking around at the nearly destroyed hut.

”By the Scions, I thought this was supposed to be an easy mission! Apparently, fate had other plans for us today!” She whined. She looked over at Scarlett, who was now comfortably resting on a pile of blood and viscera, much like a cat that had just got done eating a delicious meal. ”Ms. Shavis, is your friend…always like this?” She said to her feline compatriot. ”I honestly don’t even know where to begin with her, so I’ll just leave her to you for now.” She spoke in a defeated tone.

”Mr. Hector, you aren’t looking too well.” She said. ”I can help with that.” Gathering water in her hands, she let it gently seep around the sniper, which coiled around him like a snake. Hector would feel some of his fatigue fade away, as well as his mood improve ever so slightly. ”It’s nothing too special, but I can heal the body a bit with the purifying properties of water, plus I can ease the mind with my esper abilities. Hope it helps!” She said with a cute smile and friendly wave. ”Herne was very brave to have just jumped through that gate like that. I don’t really trust Scarlett, so no way am I having Hachigan jump through anything like that.” She said, rubbing the spirit gently on its head. With the battle now over, Hachigan returned to its petit form and hopped onto Lapis’ shoulder.

”I do believe that our job is done here. So, if Miss Glutton over there wants to give off her lazy butt, I vote we head back to the village and meet with the chieftain.”

The trip back to the village was thankfully uneventful, the Makara now calmed and deigning to avoid interaction with other beings for the time being. They had not too long arrived back at the chieftain’s hut, where they explained the situation. Lapis was careful to leave out the part where Scarlett transformed into a feral-like mode and ate the remains of another person.

”My goodness, it sounds like you all had quite the ordeal! Well, I’m just glad that you’re all unscathed and that Makara have calmed down as well. We really can’t take you all enough for your efforts. Said the chieftain, rubbing his beard. Grabbing a mid-sized pouch that sat beside him, he handed it to Lapis. The clanking jingle made it obvious what the bag was for. Please accept this payment from me, along with the other citizens of our humble little hamlet. You’ve certainly earned it. He said in a cheery tone.

"It's all in a day's work sir! I'm just glad that the ecosystem's been restored, I wish your village well chieftan."

The mission was now officially over, and was a resounding success. Unless any of the Reavers had any unfinished business or questions, they’d best head back to the Tower. The sun had almost completely set and it would likely be dark before they got back.

”There’s a whole lot I could say about that pompous charlatan of a boss.” Spat the man. ”He claims to be the director of a magitek plant, but has no actual idea of how to run the damn place. That’s part of what made it so easy to plan a sabotage and theft.”

A look of solid anger overtook the young man’s face as he continued to speak. ”Josef is the perfect example of how nepotism can ruin a business, and make everyone involved lives miserable. He was only made director of that plant due to his father’s connections; He comes from a family of wealthy aristocrats, who often support entities delving in magical technologies. His hand shook as he gritted his teeth. ”Taking advantage of young researchers trying to establish a foothold in the magical world, which is more like a battle royale than anything. Making false promises and mismanaging every aspect of the work environment, and all I can do is wonder why I didn’t try anything sooner. You can ask my other coworkers, and they’ll tell ya that they feel the same way. Those criminals…” He began to trail off a bit, his anger now being replaced by a sudden somberness. His statement about gaining a foothold in the world of magical advancement seemed to have elicited an emotional response from Evelyn, her expression becoming more serious.

”I think they were hired by a rival company, who was spying on this sect for a while now. They sought me out; a disgruntled worker like me was easy pickings. They said that if I helped them steal some magic equipment and sabotage the factory, I’d and my other coworkers would be guaranteed positions at the company that hired them. With better pay and benefits of course.

”So, what, you just believed them? I get that you were desperate, but I can’t feel too sorry for you. Especially with all that’s happened…” Eve finally decided to chime in and give her two cents.

”Heh, no offense taken. Not like it matters now anyway, I’m sunk no matter what happens now. Gonna end up taken in by the authorities, with only rats and roaches to keep me company. I had hoped that the brigands could take out whatever muscle Josef managed to hire, but I guess you Eon guys are no joke huh?”

”Hmph, obviously. As if those charred mooks outside weren’t enough of an indicator.” Eve proudly exclaimed.

Despite the situation he was in, the boy’s mood appeared to be improving. ”I heard a little bit about that place, that Arteus guy’s the one who made it right? He’s supposed to be a legendary sage or something, so I guess I should’ve expected that he’d only have around some heavy hitters. Anyway, like I said, it doesn’t matter. I’ll go back with you guys quietly and face the music.” He said in a defeated tone.

”Alright, time to head out!” Evelyn, her strength now restored thanks to Einer, had enough energy to cast a spell that made moving the weapons a bit easier By utilizing void, she was able to levitate the devices around the party, which they would then carry back to the plant.

Having returned to the factory, Josef was standing just outside the entrance with some Association officers, waving at the party as they came into view.

”Hey, I’m glad to see you guys made it back in one piece, with all of the stolen goods no less!” He said. His face quickly turned sour as he noticed the lone worker with the party. ” How dare you tarnish the company’s reputation with your reckless antics! You jeopardize the safety of your fellow workers, not to mention yourself! You have anything to say to these officers before they cart you off, criminal?”

”Yeah, actually. I have no shame in what I did, and I’d damn sure do it all over again if I could. Enjoy your station while it lasts, bastard. Sooner or later, your incompetence will show for itself. He then spat at Josef’s feet, which only served to make the director angrier.

”Get him outta my face!! He exclaimed.

”Do you have any conspirators who were a part of the operation among your coworkers? inquired one of the officers.

”Nope, officer, just me. I figured it’d be easiest to keep it a secret if as few people knew about it as possible.” the worker answered. The officer then walked over, cuffed him, then began walking toward the vehicle he and his partner arrived in. ”We’ll see how well your testimony holds up before the statesman.” Said the officer. Before being stuffed into the back of the vehicle, the worker turned and made one last look at the team of reavers. He wore a smiling expression that said something along the lines of “oh well”. With that, the officers drove off with the young man in tow, where he would soon start his new life as a prisoner.

Josef turned back to the others. ” Honestly, it’s so hard to find good help these days. I’d like to think no one else was in on this little heist, but I ought to find out who that punk hung out with while on the job and question them. At any rate, thanks again for all the help, the weapons and other devices are all safe and sound. Uh, except..” He began to scratch his head.

”One of the devices isn’t accounted for. It was a very particular item: an anti-magic orb. It’s able to disrupt mana flow in a given vicinity. Its purpose was to render apparitions helpless, and even outright dissipate them. It’s a rather important tool, and a powerful one, do you guys know what happened to it?”

”Oh an orb?” Evelyn said. ”I remember a masked man using it against us during the scuffle. I cracked his skull with my staff and made him drop it. After that, I think it just rolled on the ground…” Leon’s smooth moves seemed to have allowed him to pocket the orb without even Eve noticing. As far as she was aware, she was speaking the truth. After pondering for a moment, a sweatdrop appeared on the side of her head. ”Umm, oops. If it rolled onto the ground, then I probably accidentally destroyed it. I used my Starfall attack to torch all of the brigands. It, uh, probably got blown to smithereens haha… ” She said sheepishly.

”Seriously???” Josef could only shake his head and sigh. ”Well, better no one be able to use it than to fall into the wrong hands. That’s a heavy blow, though. A lot of money and research went into making that thing. That’s going to set us back quite a bit, but I’m sure we'll bounce back. Here, take your payment.” He said, handing a bag of money to Leon.

”It’s getting pretty late, so I won’t keep you longer than necessary. Have a safe trip back, and give Mr. Donovan my regards!” He said, waving while walking back into the factory.

With that, the mission was a success. The group was free to head back to the Tower now. However, Leon of course had the orb that Josef now thinks was destroyed, you agreed to give anything of worth to Kiff but was this really the route you wanted to take? You could also perhaps inquire more into Josef’s management of the plant, based on what the worker said, if it even mattered to you.

The state official, having heard Renee’s outburst, turned back to face her for a moment. ”Her losses are a tragedy. However, sacrifice is always necessary in our line of work. Those who can’t become accustomed to such things don’t really belong here, wouldn’t you agree. He then returned back to his tent, likely ignoring any further comments in regards to the issue. Rana didn’t respond to his statement, probably used to this kind of treatment, sadly.

Rana’s eyes widened after Renee grabbed her hands, being reassured that she would most definitely be welcomed at the Tower. Her eyes narrowed and looked down to the side, unable to meet Renee’s. Though she shot a somewhat annoyed glance at Lanus for a brief second.

These people seem…nice. But…that’s why, I have no right to… She began trailing off in her own mind. ”Thank you very much for the offer.” She said. ”But, I’ll have to think on it a bit. A lot’s happened these past few weeks.”

”Of course, it’s not like the invitation’s going anywhere.” Roze replied. ”For now, at least let us take you back to Morgenröte.”

The group loaded back up into the magitek vehicle and headed back to the Republic. It was quite late when they got back, the streets and buildings were lit with enchanting lights. The alchemic lighting that was generated by the various structures and lamps produced very little light pollution, allowing for the countless stars in the night sky to be completely visible. Rana was dropped off in the residential sect when they got back to town, and waved the group farewell. Now back at the Tower, Rue and Roze exited the vehicle.

”Like I said before, you guys did pretty well out there. When another job that requires clearing out monsters and miasma comes along, I’ll be sure to consider you two for it.” Rue said with a confident smirk. ”You guys are free to do as you please for now, but be aware that we start first thing in the morning! So, try not to do anything too crazy before you turn in for the night.”

”I think I’ll turn in for the night. See you all in the morning.” Roze said, entering the doors. Rue followed not too long after.

With that, the Fae couple were free to do as they pleased until morning. It was rather late, so perhaps it was best for them to simply turn in as well. If they needed to, some of the staff may still be available to double up with.
@AzureKnight We have a witch/doctor and two total potionmakersso that role is pretty well filled, what's your angle for a potential character?

Something along the lines of a upcoming mage that wants to further her pursuit of magical knowledge, setting up an atelier in the Hamlet. She does this in the hopes of becoming a recognized as a royal court mage. Would that be fine?
