Annabelle Irons

A several rooftops away from the group of magical girls, and inky black orb floated in the air next to cover. Through it a being of great power watched what was going on, enough so far before it finally seemed to lost interest. The orb seemed to dissipate into nothing, like ashes scattered to the winds, and seemed to disappear into nothing. Soon, its existence had ceased to be, returned to the void. But for what reason had it been used to watch on at the scene from a distance away? What use was looking at these magical girls to a horror in this instance?

Meanwhile...

"Ey, this burger isn't bad! Chef, i demand another!" the now untransformed magical girl said as she sat at the re-purposed cafeteria table which now was far comfier than it had once been in its heyday, a few crumbs falling from her mouth as she spoke.

To Annabelle, her orb forming that portal to bring her back here was nice. But then she had gotten...hungry.

The blob of tentacles, aka the "chef" that had made her the large triple-decker burger which had just been finished in minutes, seemed to roll all of the eyes on its body. This magical girl had more of a hunger than some horrors, even its own master. The large, empty plate coated in crumbs in front of this human was proper evidence of that. But it was practice at least for cooking, which had become this particular creature's hobby after helping in the destruction of worlds with its master. Just because it destroyed didn't mean it couldn't have a hobby, after all.

However, its many eyes drifted away from the untransformed magical girl towards the doors into the cafeteria as another four-legged beast with multiple mouths and eyes and skeletal tentacles coming out of its back sauntered in and looked at it. Ah.

"  ?" the 'chef' uttered to its fellow servant of Soth in an alien, rather unintelligible language, though their master's magical girl seemed to understand what was being said.

"   ,         ," the other creature communicated back in the same alien language.

Good, very good for this place indeed. Such a city to be graced with their lord's now-expanding presence, his might, his influence! Though moving forward with using abandoned places like this as footholds, transforming them into his territory, that seemed rather fitting in a twist of ironic fate. This city, though, seemed a magnet for monsters and magical occurrences, and it was here their master could indulge his curiosities and feed his purposes with the blood of his enemies! Knowledge and all things be his, for all returns to the void in the end no matter how hard they try. All shall fear and respect the lord of The Infinite Abyss! Glory to Soth!!!

"....Sooooooo, when's that next burger comin', eh chef?"

Nina Kujo and Alice Honorsby

"Well....seems it all has worked out decent, i suppose. The one girl isn't actually dead, i like the fake out though as a tactic. That other girl with the void left at least, Alice said, a shiver going down her back after that last sentence as she continued to observe through her scope, having been updating Nina on the situation so far as an observer. As much as the seeming outright murder/consumption of another magical girl almost pushed them to jump in, she had voted to watch for another few minutes to see what things were like.

After all, magical girls could be deceptive things.

But that wall of darkness, that looming void, there was no doubt as to what patron had created that. Soth, lord of The Eternal Abyss. A being that lurked beyond the universe, beyond the stars, but whose reach encompassed all. He'd destroyed worlds, his void had devoured other patrons whole, he could snuff out a sun like it was nothing on a whim. She'd heard rumors of the horror, and more than these in her line of work, but never had she heard of him taking on a magical girl of all things. Not that a horror doing so was abnormal, but among those whose reputation flagged them as dangerous Soth was among the highest on that list. What use could that being have here, however? That answer could be potentially terrifying, or maybe not as bad, dependent on that horror's will.

"Good. But if that other one is still hangin' out there, can't ya take a shot? I'm already tired of hearing about her antics, yare yare.

Alice sighed to herself a bit mentally. Nina's distaste for the devouring darkness of that other darkness girl was something, but her lack of fear in the face of that other girl was not something Alice approved of. Then again, Nina had never heard the rumors, the stories, nor seen that wall of purest void, an emptiness that never would be filled or sated, moving down that street and gathering up the fleeing spirits. She'd try to explain to her compatriot, at least, but....hopefully they never had to face that patron's forces. At least for the city's sake, and their own at that rate.

"And risk a fight with the people who just got to the scene too? No thanks. But if she tries to make a break for it i might take a shot, depending. At least we don't have to go out there for now, eh Nina?"

Nina rolled her eyes from her position, lying back on the comfy couch and watching one of those daytime cooking shows. Something about food trucks and such, it was at least giving her some way to cool the nerves and keep a level head. Personally she'd want to ensure that body-eating filth was gutted and smashed into a fine pulp. However, Alice was the type of experienced head to help her in this too. The world of magical girls was an odd one, stupid sometimes really in her opinion. At least their "useless goddess" was good for some things overall, including payment in coins. Speaking of which, said goddess had promised to contact them again today, right?
Kira Moonchaser

"Ok ok, mom," Kira said, giving a teasing wink before her look shifted to a more reasonable one for the occasion, almost as if she was a tad more exasperated at things than she had seemed back in the guild hall, "But i'm gonna at least cast something on you in case. Sending a low-tier snow golem too. It'll blend in and not be so loud since this is a pretty snowy place. Plus this'll be pretty dang light on my MP."

It would be very light on her rather....bulky amount of MP to say the least. But as much as Merius was someone who knew her way in the wild in general, it seemed, Kira herself on the other hand was one who knew more than enough about golems. If there were tracks, there might be something here. So why not have a construct that would blend in following? Just in case some bulk was needed. Though due to the nature of her magic, this "snowlem" would be better than other low-tier golems by virtue of her build, a thing she was grateful for personally.

"Basic Create Golem"

A mass of snow shifted, forming balls and rock-shaped pieces all composed of magically compacted/formed snow, until a humanoid-shaped body formed rather quickly. Its body was oddly shaped, but it stood about 7'2" in height overall. In other words, a basic snow golem. Able to absorb snow to regenerate damage, it was only really useful in places like this with a lot of snow. Modest physical damage, however, accompanied its moderate level of HP. However, its weight behind the blows could smash and stagger things well, making its modest physical damage stat a bit deceptive when it came to smashing blows.

All in all, a useful construct for this type of terrain. And upon finally forming, the snow golem began to follow Merius automatically as per its orders. It almost made the golemancer smirk to herself, but this even for her wasn't much of the time for that.

"Widen Magic: Camouflage"

The latter spell was targeted at Merius and Femto in this case as they had begun to move away, being a spell potentially being of use for this situation. As much as she wanted to kick back in part and drink back at the hall, and another part of her was still trying to wrap her head around all of this after her initial freak out upon arrival, she didn't think it smart to leave even the experienced person alone.

Then again, her own potential death by blood-thirsty catgirl, should things go awry, was its own potential danger. Sighing to herself, Kira began to walk back down the path they had came. She wouldn't go all the way back to the guild hall, merely go back enough just to make sure of where the remaining tracks were leading and going and such. And to confirm there weren't uninvited guests on the way to attacking the hall.

"Alright, lets go check this path a bit."

That was as much as Kira said to her remaining, armored blood knight catgirl companion as she began to walk down her selected path.

Nyma

Night 5

Nyma had arrived on the scene and watched things play out a bit, before it all seemed to trend towards the....worse. Fear tactics didn't seem to work on the trolls, though Nyma had used the chance to creep closer to the cave entrance in the meantime. There seemed to be at least several trolls within, and a goblin in a cage as well whose advice seemed rather useful for the moment. Overall, it didn't seem to be a good position in general, bringing a frown to the female goblin whose head was barely peeking around the corner. As the chief got ready to charge the the other goblins at the mouth of the cave next to her, however, Nyma decided to try to do at least something to avoid death. At least, death right now, next to these two Shirlia worshippers, to a giant club wielded by yet another enemy.

It almost made her miss hunting the spiders.

Nyma's hands quickly popped around the corner, spewing out a bunch of barbed webbing toward the troll chief's legs as he charged. She hoped, for the love of Duvelna, that this idea would work. At the very least, at tripping up or slowing down the troll in some manner at all. Maybe. If they were lucky again.

Sophia (von Einzbern) Tohsaka

Front Doorway, Einzbern Compound, Einzbern Forest, Miyama Southwest

Threat Designated: Servant; Servant Ally Designation: "Rider" seems to bear low possibility of success; New Directive: Evacuation Commenced. Preservation of Resources And Staff: Initiated.

This was the mental message from the network that had brought Sophia's attention in the first place, to her servant and such things. And it was also the end of her chances to help her husband get the Grail. Maybe even to survive at this rate. She wasn't even sure if her husband's servant could stop this threat, or if agitating him more might bode worse for all of them.

Dietrich was now dead, gone, her hard work into this war vanished in a heartbeat. Well, perhaps not all if things worked out. Maybe, even if it was a small chance.

The maids had begun to get to work before she had even acted to her command seals. All of the maids sent here from Germany, at least, had been retreated away, sent at their top speeds with the best resources she could use to ensure this to flee beyond the border of Fuyuki and survive until after the war.....unless otherwise contacted by Sophia personally. If she never contacted them or brought them back, then up to 6 months later after this order they would kill themselves as per their standing orders. They even had a personally-connected familiar of hers with them for contacting purposes if she wanted them to come back early.

The network had really been doing a good job.

And the familiars in the city, they were safe too......right? It was a gamble regardless, and she had stopped all other evacuations beyond that for reasons.

Rebuilding a home, and protection for her and her husband after this war. She wanted that much, to keep those maids for this much and to ensure her new family's survival. Fuyuki was in shambles, the note she had gotten from the Einzbern headquarters in Germany was......heart-dropping to say the very least. But being wanted dead by the Association in regards to both her old and new family was not the largest of her worries right now. Survive, live, continue. They had to survive, herself and Hideyoshi, even as servants wanted them dead and the city had gone to hell. This was hell. And no cup of tea was fixing this, though this primal desire outshone her usual hedonistic tendencies in the end, the light of a human will to live coming through for this....former puppet whose body was still one.

But Leave the lesser Grail, all of the tens upon tens upon tens of homunculi she had created here. The Guards dogs, even, and her familiar army that was in the forest. All her current resources and such things. Be friendly, seek to appease the enemy servant. It was low, but if it meant survival then this could work out nicely. If not it at least meant she tried, tried to do anything to help them survive at this rate.

Those red marks on the back of her hand, they almost felt numb to her as she looked at them. It was useless to think of running, that one large contingent of only the imported maids would at least suffice. She had made far more than their numbers here anywho, far more than she had imported. They could be of use, right? At least as tribute, or perhaps sacrifice? Ah. Her hand with the command seals came down to her stomach, however, as she realized the gravity of her position and new light dawned on her. She was going to become pregnant.....to become a real mother. For her and Hideyoshi's future children's sake she had to live as well, right?

So standing at the front doorway, bathrobe still on and a large overcoat thrown over her to cover her more by a remaining created maid, Sophia looked out into the woods. She knew where the enemy servant was. She felt it in her bones at this point, though her network had helped as well

".....Keep Hideyoshi safe, please. Tell him what we're doing, but....please keep him safe. Don't let him try to fight this, tell him to keep his servant back.....please, the female Einzbern said, her voice weak, the trembling and trepidation held back as much as she could. It was terrifying, thinking of the situation, but she had to be brave. For her husband, for herself, for the future if she could manage to have one. Her hair was a mess, her skin covered in sweat.....she looked to not be feeling rather well, though not without reason.

She then took a sip of offered tea, as another maid tapped her shoulder.....ha.

It was her favorite Japanese blend. How thoughtful....

"By the power of my command seal, my servant Rider, i command you to become overwhelmingly faster than your current opponent in this battle this very instant without fail!"

A voice, trembling with trepidation and fear. A human voice, a genuine though the body was not so human. But the voice, the will, all of it seeped with one intent-

WIN

-that being to surpass his foe with raw speed, speed that when giving the command she picture in her mind and intent as overwhelming even that Achaean hero Achilles. Speed she imagined and determined to be faster than anything, even another command seal. To end that enemy as swiftly as possible. The speed different was immense, she knew this, and though an attack might be able to do something it was all in vain if her servant could not keep up.

It was command spoken by a master, a mistress fearing for her servant's life in this situation. This man, this monster of a man was something that had surpassed the most legendary knights of myth. Who had defeated many a foe of great status. She could sense the power, that abomination of a skill that could seize all she had in a moment's notice. Master's Clairvoyance was terrifying in this sense, to see that much power in that sort of a vessel. Had this.....thing been summoned on staging grounds she felt they would have already been dead. But if her servant died, the Grail was lost.....to her and her new husband. And maybe their lives next. Maybe the Grail.

She.....she didn't want to die! She wanted to live! LIVE!!!

The previous day had been incredible, after that contract had been signed by the man who was now her husband. Ah. For the first time in a long time it had been....comforting to be in another's arm in bed. To feel that warmth, the pleasure having been more than worth the wait for her to boot. Thoughts had drifted into her mind, some new and some that hadn't been in the forefront before. A family, and no longer being "just a doll". Children, new life. The pleasures of life that would await in the years to come. She....she didn't want to lose this, to lose the ideas coming into her head, to feel that warm embrace each night from now on.....to eat, to drink, to feel the pleasures of the world and flesh. She wanted to breathe the fresh air, to walk on solid ground, to live to the best extent possible and find a way to live beyond those pre-programmed lifespan years!

Already a maid was by her side trying to console her in its usual pre-programmed manner, others flitting about preparing defenses and securing the place overall, some ready to evacuate equipment or supplies as needed. It was simple for the maids, but notable sweat ran across Sophia's brow as she sat in her chair as the situation hit her very hard. Too hard.

The only thing clothing her person was a nightgown, something like a bathrobe or such really that hung short to about halfway down her thighs at most. Her hair had barely been brushed by now before she had sat down to await her husband in the main room. The battle had at first distracted her, drawn her attention, then sent the fear of god into her veins. Death. Death was here and her servant was fighting to stave it off. He had to stave it off. He HAD to WIN THIS. Not unless her husband's servant was near enough to keep this place safe, but at the moment she had no idea. Her mind was a flurry of thoughts and strong emotions.

She had sent out her command via command seal as early as she could, as quick as she could respond in this situation. By Justeaze, by the Tohsaka name she had taken on, by all she held dear she hoped she was not too late as well in doing this.

Saber: Sigurd, the Dragon Slayer

Speaking Words Of Truth, Hanging With Wifey, Aid Site Close to Trainwreck

"....Because i am one whom is become a hero, and your husband," Sigurd said in response to Gudrun's question, before flashing her a brief smile and looking back up at the sky once more.

A hero. One who saves, one who preserves, one whom people idolize and look up to and strive towards, one who seeks to bring salvation regardless of the odds....regardless of the fate he is told of by the gods. He would save them whether they wanted it or not, whether the others like it or not. Such was his nature, the man who had married Brynhildr and given her joy despite the cruel fate pronounced upon them. The man who had sought to be the best husband for his wife in life even though she never asked him too. The man who had slain the great dragon to protect the world, who had slain his foster-father to prevent his own death, and had moved forward without any hesitation. Without a smile....save to those few closest to him, and the one he had fallen in love with.

For their sake he bore their burdens, he healed them, he fought them, he slew them, he did anything he could to make things better. Were this city to be wiped off the map, were all of this to fail and the Grail still not be won, he would have failed as a hero. His pride would have been thrown upon the rocks on the cliff-side sea shore and bashed to pieces of his own volition. So it was natural, utterly so, that this man, Sigurd, would stick to what he was currently doing.

Annabelle Irons

@Izurich@ERode

Soth didn't seem to respond to the respect another horror was paying to him, though to Annabelle this was rather normal. He only spoke as he saw fit, and in this case he didn't see fit to respond to the "humble apologies" given to his emissary/harbinger for doing what they were. However, Annabelle felt a feeling creep into her, somewhat like a desire to not get involved in this little "battle" that was to take place before her between the other two magical girls. Mentally shrugging at her patron's subtle enough hinting in this manner, her orb merely floated next to her as she walked over to lean on a wall. More than that, the broken store window next to her had an abandoned bag of fresh popcorn, perhaps left my some unwitting patron who'd been eaten up out here! Ah.

Snatching up the small bag happily, Annabelle began to watch the battle commence from her position.

Seemed the little vampire didn't like metal, if that sword was any indication. Sword girl seemed to get in a few good blows, even, as things went on. Not bad, though the old and/or Shakespearean type of speech she was going on with was kinda annoying to the void-harnessing magical girl herself. However, the moment that range was created between the fighters, Annabelle smirked a bit at things. Ah, that was a mistake. Sword girl was great in melee from the looks of it, but this little vampire of a girl seemed far better at range, or at least more range than sword girl herself. That much, at least, was Annabelle's observations of the situation. However, the end of the battle swiftly seemed to follow, leaving naught a trace to the rose knight.

But was she really dead, consumed by the darkness? Heh, Annabelle had no idea.

Instead, the magical girl waved to Noir once casually, and began to walk away to go back to her base. Not much to see now, not really the mood to talk. Maybe.
I feel slightly at a loss for what to do with Nyma atm. One group is trying to make peaceful talks, the rest of us want EXP probs. Or something of the sort. XD

It's been a long week....
Aerith Hastings

Here We Go Again, Suttling's Basin, Priestella

@Ryofu@Rune_Alchemist@Althiel@BrokenPromise

"....Chieko? Hiro?" Aerith said, her voice perhaps the first among the three to creak out again as the situation hit her like a freight train. Her face was deadly pale, a tremble in her voice initially.

Blood filling her lungs, unable to scream, the feeling of being stabbed over and over with sharp instruments, trying to grip onto life, trying to fight back.....but for nothing. She could remember the feeling of the life leaving her limps the weight of death hanging over her like a hangman's noose, and the slumber of death having some over her in its gruesome, terrible manner.....but then this happened. She opened her eyes again. She was breathing again. She, Chieko, and Hiro were standing in the same positions as they had been when they first appeared here. They were in the same spot and place, the same ruffling of her own clothes even. It was like deja vu, but all of it was real. It felt real, seemed real, she could remember it all in all the gore and other details prior to that. She had died, they all had maybe died, and they were back here again.

She had no idea how....was this like a video game? Going back in time at death? The feeling she was getting about this was all too real for this to be anything but....the equivalent of living this same bit over again. Oh no....oh nononononono-

-wait. Irene and Vasilis. The two who had sensed them, who had tried to help them, they had been outnumbered. Were they? If this was anything like those damned Isekai anime then they might not-......and so if they kept on that current course.....oh dear heavens. Nonononono. They were going to die again if something didn't change. If they didn't try to change things. But who would listen to them? A girl who just woke up from death, and two others who she had no idea how they would react to this situation. No idea whatesoever. It had all started off so well, and now.....THIS. Even Areith herself felt thrown off her game, off her rocker a good bit at the moment, and the first instinct to hit her mind was-

"Ah...ah! Irene and Vasilis, we are all going to die if we don't do something! Hiro, take care of Chieko! I've got to go help them!" Aerith shouted at Chieko and Hiro, before her feet took to the ground at top speed.

Aerith ran, adrenaline pumping in her veins. She went down the same route she remembered seeing Hiro leave this alley out of. She ran down the same street they had met Irene and Vasilis on. By the gods, if this place had such things, she had to try something. Even if it was stupid, something to save them and keep them all alive this time. She put on a mask as well, one of her best, enough to perhaps garner attention as she would try to find and approach them. Use the emotion to her advantage to put on a face.

'Now think, Aerith, think. What can you do to get them out of there, what can you say? There's gotta be something.'

She had to improvise. She had to improvise on the spot for this kind of thing. Usually a game had dialogue options, usually the hero or heroine in a crappy isekai had to redo things a few times over with mechanics like this....before they got it right. Shit shit shit! This was not good. Think fast. New to the world? Yes. Look like and can come off as a foreigner? YES. Ok, that was one excuse down. Next maybe she could say something....the two had been seemingly looking for activities in the area, suspicious figures. Yes, that aura she and the other apparently had, maybe overhearing some chatter....shit. This was banking on something stupid, and if she died again it would only....ah. The feeling sent a terrible shiver down her spine.

Eventually Aerith picked out the two figures she was looking for. Yes. They looked distinct enough from the crowd, this might make sense.

"Hey!" Aerith called out to Irene and Vasilis, slowing down her pace and waving them down as if she was a slightly spooked visitor to the city, taking care to approach as carefully as she could in the subtle sense to avoid potentially getting...er....killed on the spot maybe by these two, "May i talk to you both a minute?"

'Please let the aura get their attention, but not get me killed. Please let them want to talk to me since i am approaching them peacefully, and not kill me. Please let this work. It has to work. Or i have to keep trying.' Aerith thought to herself in the back of her head.

Though it could always be worse than dying as she had, even though the feeling still sent shivers down her spine. Ugh.
