Bandits

Boram's crossbow bolt successfully hit a bandit who was firing crossbow bolts fell over with a shout, and disappeared behind the bushes, at the same time that the Kenku monk's bear form effectively knocked Horus and Borris out of commission. The crossbow bandits see their Captain start running off, and they easily noticed the bear and triton took chase. They ran after the group, staying some distance away from the two enemies. The furthest bandit was the one that Boram managed to trip. He was holding his side where the crossbow bolt stuck out and was limping away.

When they found a suitable position, they each reloaded a crossbow bolt and fired. Two were aiming at the bear, and the other two were aiming for the armored fish-man. The crossbow bolts flew swift, and two of them managed to find purchase on the bear, but the other two bounced off of the shining armor decorated with the emblems of Persana.

Meanwhile, the final Crossbow Bandit found himself face to fact with a leopard and a panther. He shouted as he felt the leopard's teeth sink into his arm. Out of instinct, he swung he dropped his crossbow, drew his scimitar with his free hand, and swung at the leopard, desperate to get the cat off of his arm.

Jamil

As soon as Boris and Horus were knocked down by the bear, Jamil rushed to the nearest Crossbow wielding bandit who shot at Shaedra, and it wasn't too long before Shaedra herself also came up to help fight this bandit. When the bandit swung down on Shaedra and cut deep into her skin, Jamil's snarl became intense and he pounced on the bandit and bit into his throat. The bandit was rendered motionless. Jamil was keeping true to his promise to Shaedra.

Bandit Captain

The Bandit Captain ran, but he slowed down when he felt a crossbow bolt pierce its way into his back and he let out a shout of pain. He then took a couple of steps, with labored breaths and he made the mistake of looking back to see the triton chasing him. He widened his eyes when the paladin tried to wrestle him to the ground, but he managed to duck and weave his way out of his arms. He snarled at the paladin "Yer not getting our cash cow today, fish freak!"

He quickly started running again, damning the odds, going as fast as he can while the adrenaline coursed through his veins.

As he runs further and those of you continue chasing him, you see a glowing orangish light come closer and triangular shadows appear. He was heading for a campsite.

I'm so sorry for the wait guys! DX

I'm currently working on the Bandits' post right now. And I'm also making sure that I get my facts straight and roll everything before the post comes up. I promise the post will be up ASAP. DX

Everything fell into chaos so quickly. The woman looked to the side to see two heavily guards appear. As they came closer, it was apparent that these were not people, but automatons. She watched as the mermaid charged forwards and heard her call out that there was a kraken around the corner. The warning snapped the woman out of the stupor and she looked around her cell for a moment before looking to the tiger who stuck the paw into the cell. She couldn't tell what the tiger wanted to do really, but it was clear that the tiger was intelligent and was with the people who wanted to get her out of the cell. After grabbing a rock with one hand, she looked to tiger and commented "I don't exactly know what you want me to do, but I'll give this a shot," She then touched the tiger's paw with a free hand.

Her eyes widened when she felt magic surge from the tiger and start to affect her body. She instinctually tried to resist the magic, but the surprise of the sudden spell did not help her. She felt herself shrink down to size, and before she knew it, she had fins and was much smaller than she was before.

Oh...No...

She was a fish. She quickly swam out of her cell, and she swam next to the tiger. She looked to the tiger, hoping that her fishy eyes would convey the fact that she wanted to be human again, as soon as possible.

Everything seemed to be move in slow motion, and yet happen very quickly, after Frisk shot SOUL bullet at the bomb. One moment they were standing there, watching the yellow dart of light fly through the air, prepared to dodge as best as they can. However, they felt a hand a grasp their shoulder, and then the next, they were held in an embrace as Alicia shielded them from any shockwave and debris from the explosion. When the explosion seemed to have finish in that moment, and the area had silenced, they looked up to Alicia in a bit of surprise and awe, and they answered her as the ringing faded, "Thank you, Alicia,"

Frisk saw movement in the corners of their eyes and they looked to see that it was the Poppy Bros. They listened as the second brother spoke about how they could have chosen to kill them when they weren't paying attention, but instead chose to save them. They looked to the first Poppy Bro when they heard sniffling, and they were surprised to see the Poppy Bro fall in front of their feet and apologize so fervently. Frisk tried to calm the brother, "Hey, it's okay. It's alright,"

Frisk's attention soon diverted to the second brother who told the first to get up and then hopped to the center of the room saying that they were going to repay the favor by getting them through the fourth floor. Apparently a friend of theirs was there. They were silent as the brothers spoke to each other, the first questioning the second over the possibility that they were betraying Dedede. The fact that the King was acting strangely and hadn't treated the brothers well seemed to help convince them to help the party.

When the brothers told the group to follow them, and the door appeared, Frisk nodded with a smile and followed the brothers, knowing that Alicia, Cloud, Phoenix, and Banjo Kazooie would follow them.

As they made their way down the stairs, Frisk noticed the air became damp, just like it did when Frisk visited the Underground's Waterfall area. The only difference between here and there was that the air here was thick with the scent of salt. So...the water in this area is sea water? That had to be the reason why. It made Frisk curious as to who Fatty was.

Soon enough, the group and the Poppy Brothers reached the Fourth floor, which was nothing but a dock road over a black sea. Frisk looked to the brothers as the second started calling out for Fatty. Suddenly the surface was breached and Frisk watched in awe and amazement, their mouth now a wide open smile, as a giant blue whale leaped up into the air and soared above the eight of them before landing in the water again, and resurfacing to meet them.

After the Senior Brothers officially introduced Fatty, and while the whale waved a fin at them, Frisk waved back at Fatty in kind as though to say "Nice to meet you!" to Fatty.

The child listened as the brothers spoke with Fatty and explained what happened and why they wanted to give the group a free pass. Thankfully, Fatty seemed okay with the idea after the First Poppy Brother backed the Second Poppy Brother's words. They listened as Fatty gave the warning that the other bosses coming up were not going to be as friendly as him and the Poppy Brothers.

Frisk looked to the Poppy Brothers when they said that it was time to part and said their well-wishes and good byes. Frisk nodded to them and answered "Thank you for your help and the warning, you guys. We really appreciate it," When the first Poppy Brother thanked Frisk for saving him, they answered "Don't worry about it! I'm glad you're not hurt," They then said to the brothers, showing a wide smile of genuine kindness and happiness, "You guys take care! Have a fun vacation, alright?"

They then turned to the rest of the group, "Let's get going everyone!"

The fact that they had managed to spare three lives filled Frisk with DETERMINATION!

Shantae immediately spotted the dragonfly out of all of the sleeping customers, and she let out a sigh of relief (that she didn't realize she had been holding). After Sparx asked if everything was okay and what had happened, Shantae nodded and started "Yeah, everything's alright now. How about you?" Before she could continue and talk about what happened, a talking turtle in some kind of mechanical moving chair approached the both of them first, and introduced himself as Bentley. Huh...he reminded Shantae of Hypno Baron and Techno Baron combined. Maybe he was a distant cousin? So he was here to help with the Mugen Viruses. After he asked if she just came back from a mission herself, she started "I...wouldn't call it a mission but yes, I did just come back from something important,"

Before she could even think of introducing herself, another person entered the room. Shantae turned to see...what the heck? The guy had a cup for a head...

...What?

Okay, she was sure that this guy would throw her zombie friend, Rottytops, for a loop. Did he even have a brain? Was the liquid inside the cuphead the brain?

She shook her head, getting rid of the morbidly curious thoughts, and listened as the guy introduced himself as...Cuphead. That was a fitting name...

After he asked if they were all here for the Mugen Virus, Shantae nodded to Cuphead and answered in a friendly manner, "Yeah, so far, we're all here for the Mugen Virus,"

She then looked to see James enter and he started speaking with Sparx, she wanted to go up to him and thank him for his help earlier back in the Arena, but first, she needed to introduce herself to the two who initiated the conversation with her. She started "It's nice to meet you, Bentley and Cuphead. My name is--"

Before she could finish, a familiar voice spoke up, calling her by name, and she looked to see that the source was none other than Taric. She greeted "Oh! Hi Taric," She then asked "I'm guessing you're here to help out as well? You've got really good timing!"

How did he know? Unless it was all coincidental?

Scrapmouse

It didn't take very long for Scrapmouse, Sparky, and the other heroes that were called to reach the Seat of Mavros. When the two nobles started talking with their long winded speeches and flowery words, Scrapmouse merely looked at her soot darkened nails casually, and simply nodded when they said that they were the best in the lands. However, they had her attention when they mentioned that it wasn't them who called the heroes, since their seal was not on the letter.

Scrapmouse's eyes widened slightly and looked to the nobles. She commented to the both of them warily "Ya mean to tell me that ya didn't forget to put the seal on those letters?"

After she asked, the skies darkened and an angel appeared, speaking for Valkur.

You mortals have been gathered for glory in battle and the taste of godhood itself!

"Oh krick'nick nark!"

Scrapmouse couldn't help but swear in gnomish under her breath, and throw up her hands for a brief moment in frustration and anger, before having them crossed around her chest. She wasn't going to translate that. Who knows who could be reading this? It could be the kiddies for all anyone knew! Anyways, the last time she heard that bullcrap come out of a divine being's mouth, people lost their lives for its entertainment and she lost her freedom for a certain amount of time. So of course she wasn't exactly trusting of this divine being.

She listened as he spoke of fighting for good and about a dragon and giants, and a lich and the undead getting ready to attack, before the messenger disappeared. The rock gnome listened to the other heroes as they spoke. The only ones that she seemed to agree with were the noblewoman, the paladin, and the cleric. She answered "I agree with Gramps on how we should split the party. For now, let's get going to that library! You'll need mah researchin' skills as well," She then hopped off of Sparky and looked to Ada, ready to get going to the library. She would go on ahead herself, but she didn't know where the library was.

However, as she looked at the rest of the party, her mind recalled the dark memories once more. If this was going where she thought it was going, then she was going to need to spend as much time with these heroes as she can, and yet keep herself detached. She needed to know their strengths and weaknesses.

Valor may be regaled as a good guy. But you know what they say: Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Perhaps Valkur also sees them as nothing more than entertainment as well for when the bad guys are slain and there's nothing else for them to fight...

If that is the case, then Scrapmouse needed to be prepared. And she would be adding another god to her hit list.
@rush99999 Thank you for reminding me. ^_^

Sorry about the wait everyone. ^^" I hope you all had a Happy New Years!

I just have one quick DM note before I can start making my next post

@The Harbinger of Ferocity The bandits that were in front of Jamil were Horus and Boris. They were taken down by Bobbin. Would you like to aim your attack at a different bandit?
The woman looked to Jill when she swam up and spoke. The blonde nodded her head and answered "Yes! Definitely!" When Jill showed the emblem and asked if she recognized, the blonde nodded once more and told her, "I do!" She then lowered the collar of her grayish black cloak and showed the group her Necklace of Adaptation around her neck, and upon that necklace was the same emblem that the Theullai gave them. She then commented before she let the collar move back to it's place, "Looks like we're on the same team,"

The woman nodded and said "Agreed. And let's hurry! Before any one of them decides to check this place!" As the woman made that eager suggestion, she slammed her a flat palm against one of the stalagmites as hard as possible, only for it to crack (Athletics Check 1 - 21). The stalagmite still holds but it was starting to crumble from that hit. The blonde stared at the stalagmite with a deadpan look that can be as "I don't know if I should laugh, or feel really insulted," and she couldn't help but let out a "You've gotta be kidding me...!"

She then tried the same strike again (Athletics Check 2 - 7), only for it be a significantly weaker strike than the first one. It was barely a tickle! She tried again for the third strike, this time balling up her hand into a fist (Athletics Check 3 - Nat 20 -- 26), and she let out a shout before she punched what appeared to be the weakest spot in the stalagmite bars. However, after she did, a noise reached her ears. Something was approaching.

"...Uh oh..."

After Shantae spoke with Guile, helping explain as to what happened in the Smash Arena, and thanking Cloud for helping her out (the thought of his hands on her shoulders made her blush a little), she headed out. Well, she would have headed out by now, if it wasn't for one of the green men stopping her due to the protocol of containing the virus.

She sighed and did her best to reason with the...man? She even showed that she was not contaminated, let alone wounded at all, but the green army man was persistent. She sighed
"Come on! Please let me pass? There's someone that I need to check on, make sure that they're okay!
"Sorry Ma'am. No exceptions!"

She pouted in response for a moment, before her eyes seemed to glaze over. She recalled a certain move from so long ago, and when her eyes came into focus again, a grin spread on her face. She shrugged and answered casually,

"Okay then~! Looks like you get a bit of a show tonight!" She looked back to Cloud and she winked at him with a grin, before she started doing something that might be considered as strange in this setting.

She started to belly dance.

With a shake of her hips and an undulation of her belly, light shined around her, before she called "TraaaansFORM!" In a flash, her feminine figure was gone, and instead there was a purple furred monkey with a gold crown around the head.
Shantae, in her adorable monkey form, took advantage of the confusion and dazed look of the soldier (who had been staring at her as she danced) and everyone else around her, and she dashed and climbed her way out of the tunnels and headed out into town.

She dashed through the town, ignoring the stares and some surprised cries from the citizens of Platform City. It didn't take long for her to find the Save Point Inn, and before she entered, she reverted back to her human form.

She walked into the Save Point Inn and looked around, looking for the dragonfly who said that he would be here. She hoped he got here okay.
Ooh!

May I join in? ^_^
A third rider came into the town with the rest of the group. This rider was a gnome with soot darkened goggles with bright pink hair, and she was riding on a mechanical cat like creature with two saber like teeth protruding from the mouth. Normally, the gnome would have announced her arrival with fireworks and a grand advertisement to visit her stores and purchase her wares. As of now? Well, she was calming her nerves down in only way she knew how: Tinkering! She was currently drawing a blueprint regarding one of the heroes and what the current modification idea would be and how it would affect him.

One of the heroes that she was traveling with was a Warforged!

A genuine, bona-fide Warforged!

What were the odds?! She always dreamt of at least tinkering on an existing Warforged and giving them some cool modifications, if not create a Warforged of her own! And from the looks of this particular Warforged, Titan Bane, it seems as though his creators neglected to give him a personality.

A lack of personality meant a lack of freedom to a certain degree! And that is something that Scrapmouse would not stand! She tried talking to Titan Bane before, only to receive no answer, but when she asked him if she could make some modifications on him to improve his fighting skills, she got an affirmative answer!!! That made her so giddy with excitement, she could've clapped her hands like a child! She was going to have figure out a good time she can tinker on him later...

Oh she could just imagine it now! Titan Bane, donning clothes of his favorite colors and twirling around with, what others would call, a "Broadway" personality, laughing and smiling at others he met. If she could give Sparky his sweetheart personality, then how hard could it be to give a Warforged a personality? Almost manic giggles escaped from Scrapmouse's grin as she continued drawing the blueprints for a weapon that would shoot crossbow bolts from the Warforged knees. She called it..."The Bee's Knees"

It was just...Genius!

.....It would also be good to install a Force Shut Down function in case the Warforged Barbarian decided to go Rogue on anyone and/or turn evil.....

Scrapmouse shook her head rapidly, trying to get rid of the dark memories that plagued her. She never wanted to participate in such a Battle Royale, and she never wanted instant powers like others seem to desire.

She looked up when she heard a commotion to see that the masked humanoid woman with the owlbear stop and console a child. She couldn't help but grin. It was honestly a cute and comical sight. And then it was spoiled by the half-orc paladin who commented on the reasoning for being in this city and admitted that he was worried and anxious about hearing why they were here.

Scrapmouse had Sparky walk past the both of them and she commented casually as they moved past, understanding the worry,

"Oh relax, Buster. Worryin' ain't gonna help wit' anythin'! I'm sure we all can handle whatever they need help with, otherwise, they would never have called us,"

After Sparky strolled past them and continued on the way to their meeting point, Scrapmouse turned to look at the other travelers. There was the human thief who tried to sneak away, but was caught by the elderly human, a halfling with a staff, a wood elf, and a half elf who seemed to be almost on fire.

The half elf and the human thief were definitely attractive guys, but their flaws were plain as day to the gnome. The half-elf seemed to be enjoying the attention too much, and she didn't want anyone stealing her inventions! So she ignored the both of them as she turned her focus towards the crowds once again and towards their intended destination.
