Once Jehanne had been branded, the Auction Master would take Louise's proof of payment and say, "Congratulations! You are now the proud new owner of Rote Kaufmann and Jehanne Alcroft! Here are the stones that signify your ownership of their magic as well as their bodies."
He then handed Louise two flat pale green semi-precious stones engraved with an 'S' mark, 'S' for Slave, before facing Rote and Jehanne and saying to the former, "Now stop being disobedient and prepare your body for 'use' by such a beautiful woman or multiple beautiful women. You'll sire pretty children, what with your face... Or perhaps please a Merchant Prince 'so inclined'."
After the Auction Master chuckled, he then asked Louise, "Are you buying any more?" If the answer was no, he'd gesture the young woman towards the open-air market's main exit. Unknown to Louise, the main exit and the path back home to the Ahlryt-Liu Company HQ led to a small side road flanked by a few alleyways, where the mercenaries that Mergoux was going to lead were waiting.
And Noel's brother, Liberio, had been notified that once Mergoux and her mercenaries were done, that there was another squad of people who were tasked to make sure Rote and Jehenne were safe and provisionally free. Free from the plans of the Old Gods' cultists, and who are also planning to guarantee that said cultists did not try anything...

Flame continued to say nothing as he followed Grisaia's group inside the Vertti Mansion, eyes already scanning the environment around him for threats. As he waited for signs of Ashton's arrival, preferably with reinforcements, he feared that Gris Art Fortye might have encountered the other boy - And that would not be to either person's benefit. Looking at Chieko, then Aerith, then Alistair, Flame voiced, "I am worried about... Him. I know what he did and why he did it, as well as the consequences he has to bear for that, but I worry about him."
I also worry about Mr. Art Fortye, he thought. But I'd rather Ashton live if given a choice between those two lives.

After Hiro's death, Ashton had made the effort to acquire a sheath for the paring knife that he had used to kill his friend, just in case he needed an emergency weapon. Drawing said knife out, he spoke to Gris Art Fortye as Belrigger and Sandra fought, "I'm not planning on dying today, Mr. Art Fortye. I'm not letting the everything I've done, whether I was tricked to it or not, be for nothing."
The boy was going to stand his ground, knife ready to parry even if he knew he had no actual chance. "At the very least, you can't stop me from facing my death standing up!"

my character is more anti-hero than hero. she'll be the hero if she needs to be, but only if it's in her self-interests. her main thing is getting revenge on Karl Maximillian.
That will need to be dealt with in time.
