Bio

Very well, where do I begin?

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet.

My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard, really. At the age of twelve, I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles.

There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking. I highly suggest you try it.

Apologies for the radio silence on my end. Had a tough time with what I originally wanted to do, so I scrapped it to start fresh. Working on that now.
Villain NPCs don't fall under the same jurisdiction since they're not normally playable anyway. So the regular rules apply - if the villain is attached to a hero currently being played, reach out to that player for permission. If the hero has no player currently, even if they're an applied NPC, then there's no real need to ask for permission.
It should be said that every concept would be up for review if it aligns with the rules of the game. This is a slightly different DC Universe than the one in any of the comics, as evidenced by some ideas already established - Superman having been around since the 70's, Static starting off with a pre-existing history with the Titans/YJ that takes place before the current story, Hawkgirl being killed by Despero. There are definite diversions from canon big and small, so having these characters take on different roles in the present than they probably started out with isn't entirely unprecedented. All that we ask is that you try not to reinvent a character from the ground up - the essence of who they are needs to remain.

Killer Croc can reform if he's explicitly already been a villain, Waller can look to atone for her past. That's all fine. Just write a good sheet for it and we're likely to approve it.
How did that happen?

Can it be undone?
Plot twist: MB was actually applying for Ted Grant the whole time.

Following the senseless murder of his parents, a young Bruce Wayne made a solemn vow to wage war against the criminal and corruptive forces in Gotham City. Utilizing the vast family fortune that became his own, Wayne traveled the farthest corners of the globe and learned from it's greatest masters in fields relevant to crime prevention, martial arts, stealth, engineering and detection. Returning home as a matured adult, he sought to use his acquired skills to the streets, but it wasn't enough to overcome his enemies. He needed an edge, a weapon that would transcend any normal methods of a crusade such as his. Inspiration came to him in the form of a creature that had terrified him as a child, making him realize that weaponizing fear itself was the key. Donning the terrifying cape and cowl to mimic that animal and adopting an arsenal of highly advanced gadgetry and vehicles to sell the illusion that he was more than just a man, Bruce Wayne became Gotham's nocturnal protector - THE BATMAN.

This version of Batman has been operating in Gotham City since 2008, and is roughly in his mid-forties. He was a founding member of The Justice League and remained with the team until their disbandment, seeing no desire to return. His history largely reflects that of the Post-Crisis/Rebirth continuities, where he went through his origin period and became a masked vigilante, made enemies of increasingly volatile opportunists and the insane, adopted several recruits into the fold and oversaw their training, built up an arsenal of some of the most advanced non-lethal technology and weapons on Earth, and firmly established himself in the world of business while also presenting the facade of a careless playboy. He's legally adopted Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, and Cassandra Cain as his children, and has a biological son in Damian. He considers Clark Kent a personal friend, but has largely remained distant since the former's retirement. He still believes that Jason Todd died the night that The Joker murdered him. And while he and Selina Kyle nearly married, they broke it off and have chosen to remain what they were - allies, enemies, and everything in between.

Bruce will be driven by one of his worst habits: the fear that eventually, he'll lose everyone closest to him to violence. While he obviously has a rather large family of agents, Batman has become increasingly isolated from them and operates on his own in the field. This makes him vulnerable to behavior that could threaten everything he's built, particularly when his enemies seize the opportunity to make his life hell under the machinations of a mysterious third party looking to destabilize the well-being of Gotham's protector out of personal revenge. To do that, Batman will be put through a gauntlet of his worst foes, from The Riddler to Bane, Ra's Al Ghul, The Penguin, and eventually, The Joker, who still has yet to pay for the murder of the second Robin many years ago. And on the path towards that endgame, he'll be forced to come into conflict with those who bear his symbol to ultimately challenge this pattern of behavior.

Within that journey, my main goal will be to help reinvent some of his villains - or at least, steer them toward a natural evolution. Characters like The Riddler and Two-Face have remained stagnant for a long time, and I want to show what happens when they actually realize that their old methods aren't working. To a lesser degree, I want to see how much of Batman's own personal world can survive a sort of reckoning - what can remain whenever you have Bruce decide that his life needs to change.
