Kenia seemed to breathe a sigh of relief once Terneus was truly gone. She had waited to do so, however, until his whole entourage was out of sight. She had come awfully close to assassinating the governor right then and there. Truly the world would have been a much better place if they had done so, but that would have been a lot more difficult to pull off.

She looked at Malachi as he had come back and gave him a grin as she nodded in agreement. “Bravo my timorous beastie. You almost had me believing you were wild. Thanks to you and your lovely acting skills we didn’t have to murder a governor today.” She said as she clapped her hands as she began moving towards where Rei and Corvina had been hidden. She removed the blanket covering them, smiling down at them.

”Come now you two, we should be safe for the time being.” She told them as she offered to help them both up. Malachi made mention of getting cleaned up and she couldn’t agree more. She really wished to bathe, much preferring to feel clean. ”Bathing sounds wonderful right now. I have some clean clothes for myself and probably something Corvina can change into, unfortunately I don’t keep men's clothes on hand tho. So we’ll have to find clothing for Rei. Then we also need to find a good place to go for a while to lie low.” She informed the group as she watched Malachi cook the squirrels.

Torvi scoffed as he called her defective. He obviously didn’t know much about humans then. ”Perhaps it is your elves that are defective or uninformed as very few humans actually have magic. It is more common for them not to have magic.” She explained with a shake of her head. If she’d been anything like her brother she may have responded to that insult with violence, but thankfully she understood that violence didn’t always solve everything.

”Death in battle is nothing to be feared and an honor.” She exclaimed, this statement irking her a bit. There as a fire in her eyes as she spoke these words and crossed her arms over her chest. ”If you die fighting for the things you love then you are sure to see your loved ones that are gone once more. So why fear death in battle when that will be your reward?” She explained to him further, firmly believing in this. It was the only way she would see Siri again, to see her husband again. She was filled with irritation, however, watching him build up the fire again and the things he spoke of softened her a bit. Her arms crossed over her chest from being in defiance to being something of comfort for her. He’d obviously lost something or someone dear to him.

He then offered to build her sister a pyre and she felt a tightness in her chest again. Could she actually find her sister’s body again to do so? Would it be safe to build a pyer if there may be people out searching for her? There were so many questions running through her head as she moved to sit down in the spot he indicated. She pulled her knees to her chest as she let the fire warm her. She was silent for a long moment as she thought things through. ”If we can find my sister’s body again I would very much like to build her a pyre, however…” She started and then looked up to Bowyn. ”If I am so doomed and not likely to live, if I’m bringing you such danger, why are you helping me even in the slightest? Why offer to help me honor my sister’s life if I’m going to die here soon as well to Aklenroth?” These were the questions she really wanted to know the answers to. What was causing him to actually help her?

.Azriel watched the human in front of her closely, the smallest of smirks on her face. She did take a moment to glance briefly at Umber, just to see his reaction to things, before she began slowly moving. She began circling Jack, keeping her eyes on him all while examining him and the dead woman. He exclaimed that he had killed around fifty, an impressive number for one man no doubt. She’d long lost count of how many she’d killed.

She watched him take the woman’s head off as she continued to complete her circle around him. She chuckled a bit as he licked his knife. ”Whoever created this one seems like they would get along well with you, dear friend.” She said as she glanced over to Umber, a grin on her face.

She then looked back to Jack, debating on what to do with him. He obviously wasn’t all there in his head, but perhaps that didn’t matter. ”I think our king may want to meet you, perhaps we shall take you to him and there you will receive payment.” She exclaimed, though she glanced around at the others to see if they agreed.

Three days ago…

The world of Ossvien was abuzz with excitement, gossip, and fear as everyone seemed to be talking about the disappearance of the Arcadian. Yes, many ships had been lost over the years to the Shadowmount Isles. Enough so to make people fear the isles and wonder just what darkness lurked there, but never was a ship lost that it drew the attention of any of the large countries. Glasston, Aelvale, and Stormwyn were all content to leave the isles to their own devices. That is until now. Now Strongwyn and Glasston seemed to be in an uproar as the Arcadian had been carrying things dear to both countries.

King Venali Kealen, ruling power of the Glasstonian empire, sat in his throne room as he spoke with his frantic advisors. All of them were concerned on how the Strongwyn empire was going to respond to the disappearance of the Arcadian. It was a Glasstonian ship that the king had sent to collect his future daughter-in-law along with her dowry and now they feared the Strongwyn empire would blame them for the disappearance of their princess.

“My lord, if we do nothing than there is a chance that the Strongwyn empire will declare war on us. We can not fund a war at this time!” One of the advisors, Lord Pharran Norris, complained as he tried to get the king to see his fears. A few of the other advisors scoffed at him, exclaiming that if the Strongwyn empire wished to go to war over this than they were just looking for an excuse. Some even exclaimed to let there be war.

The king sat there with his eyes closed, rubbing at his temples, as the court went back to bickering once more. “My lord, a letter for you.” Came a soft and timid voice to his side as he looked over to see his page boy. The letter bore the seal of the Strongwyn royal family. He took it and thanked the boy before he silently began to read it. What he read filled him with hope and a little bit of fear as he now knew what needed to be done.

“Enough! General Roren, find your finest captain and have them prepare for a voyage. I shall be sending them out towards the Shadowmount Isles to search for the Arcadian or any survivors. We must try to do all we can to bring back Princess Zaleria Moonfall safely. Now go.” He commanded and the council fell silent, looking at the king in a bit of shock. Soon, however, people were moving into action and the General was off to prepare Captain Draegen for her voyage.

Time: Dawn
Location: Parlay Cay
Interactions: Her entire crew

Sunken Reef Isle was quite the unique place, especially when you were headed for Parlay Cay. Around the entire isle was a maze of reef and jagged rocks that only the most skilled and familiar knew how to navigate through. There was also a graveyard of ships that had tried to make it through and failed. It made for a rather ominous sight and served well as a warning to any who weren’t welcome there.

Parlay Cay was the worst of the reef and rocks, however there was one path you could take to make it through and every pirate on the seas knew this. This path was protected by an illusion spell, a spell that created a veil over that section of the island where once you were past it onlookers couldn’t see the path you took. This was part of what helped protect the pirates all these years.

Once you made it past the reefs then you had to sail into a large cove and that’s where you would find the small city of Parlay Cay. The buildings were made from old ships, some torn apart and then stacked on eachother up the cliff side. Some lived there full time, serving all the pirates that came to port while others were only there for a short time, hoping to be picked up by some ship.

This was the case for young Katurah and she’d been here for a week. Her funds had begun to run low and she had been worried about what she was going to do once they ran out. Sure she had worked out a deal with the innkeeper to play her music in the tavern in exchange for a place to stay, but that didn’t pay for her food. Thankfully she had caught wind the night before of a captain recruiting members for their crew and Katurah somehow managed to talk her way onto the ship.

She now eagerly made her way down the docks, all her possessions in a sack and her violin in her hands as she scanned each ship and their names. Mermaid’s Fortune...Mermaid’s Fortune… She kept repeating in her head until she finally found the ship that bore the name. She stood there grinning up at the ship as she watched men carrying large barrels and crates onto it. There was a woman aboard the ship seemingly examining each item brought on and then checking something off on the paper she held. Katurah immediately knew this was the captain thanks to her conversation she had last night.

Captain Nightingale, as her crew had begun calling all thanks to her first mate Malek, was aboard her ship making sure they had everything for their journey. Before they had made it to Parlay Cay, she had announced to the crew that their next journey was to go after the missing Arcadian. She gave the entire crew the option to stay with her on this journey, knowing that it would be a dangerous one, or they could leave once they made port and she wouldn’t have any hard feelings. She even offered to give them all a good reference so they could make it aboard another ship. Unfortunately some did decide to part ways with the rest of the crew and so Adrielle had to stay in port for a few days longer in order to find replacements.

”Umm excuse me? Captain?” A voice came from behind her as she examined a crate and marked something off. Who in the world would really be interrupting her at this time? Couldn’t they see she was in the middle of something? ”Hmm?” Was her only response as she didn’t even look up at the person and just continued on.

Katurah bit her lip as she debated on continuing, but the captain hadn’t shooed her away right away so she decided it would be alright. ”Well, um, I just wanted to thank you for this opportunity. I won’t let you down. It’s always been my dream since I was a little girl to sail on a pirate ship and go on daring adventures. I mean I even remember one time hearing a story about-” She was cut off as the woman in front of her sighed and looked up from her work with irritation.

”Would someone come and show this child to her bunk?! We leave in an hour and I do not need this interruption!” Adrielle yelled out to her crew, looking around the deck briefly before going back to her work. She didn’t have time for this, if they wished to beat anyone else to Shadowmount Isles then they had to leave as soon as possible.

Katurah’s ears flattened in embarrassment as she took a sheepish step back. ”Sorry…” She squeaked as she began to look around, hoping someone would come and save her from her foolishness.

Location: Bowyn’s camp

Torvi listened as Bowyn spoke, taking in all he was saying, some of which made her a little angry. She remained quiet, however, as she thought things over. It was unfair that she was brought into this world without her wanting it and now she was likely to die for it. Life wasn’t fair though, she knew that all too well. Life had never been fair for her, but she always eventually tried to find the positive in things.

It was the statement about humans having magic that caused her to laugh. ”Magic? I am no seeress, I have no magic.” She stated with a shake of her head. Obviously these elves who seemed to bring her here weren’t aware that most humans didn’t possess magic. It made her just that much more angry at them. They brought her here and caused her sister’s death along with her own for absolutely no reason. She could sympathize with them a bit, however. It sounded like they were only trying to protect their home from a tyrant. From someone so perverse they dared to try and bring back those that were long gone. That was a cruel atrocity that no one should have the power over.

They made it to his camp and she glanced around it for a moment. It was quaint, provided the essentials, one couldn’t ask for more than that. ”I would never expect you or anyone else to risk their life for me. So thank you for doing what you are at least.” She told him as she gave him a small smile. She was really grateful for it. ”It sounds like there are some similarities to our worlds. Both always under the threat of something it seems. The elves may be fools for what they did, but hope isn’t a bad thing. Without hope nothing will ever change.” She said with a sigh as she turned her gaze out into the forest for a long moment. Her hand idly began fiddling with her sisters necklace.

”Before I came here my village was attacked. We had been starving and so the men had left to find us food. While they were gone another raiding party came to our village. We had the choice to either do nothing, have many die or be stolen away as slaves and our village destroyed, or we could fight for our home and possibly win.” Torvi then turned her gaze back to Bowyn, still holding on to the charm. ”We chose to fight. Many died, I even lost my sister after we were sucked into the portal, but I wouldn’t change the decision we made. Because either way people were bound to die, but at least that way we were fighting for our home and even if we lost the outcome would have been the same if we didn’t fight. So I can sympathize with those that are trying to fight for a change.” She finished, not entirely agreeing with the elves method of fighting. She understood it, however, and yet she understood Bowyn not wanting to fight. Everyone had to make a decision like that at some point in their lives.

Azriel had heard Xenelith and his beasts arrive, but her attention was focused on the waters edge. She slowly moved closer to it as she took notice of footprints. She followed the tracks with her eyes until they disappeared and she stared. She felt perhaps someone was peering back at her and she grinned sadistically at the potential onlooker. Before she could do anything, however, Umber’s voice caught her attention. ”If it were up to me I would have let you have some fun with this human. He would have been fun to torture by maybe slowly crushing his armor in on himself.” She told her friend as she patted the decapitated head at her side.

She was about to respond to his next statement when she noticed he went on alert. Her attention also turned to whatever was approaching. She sniffed a couple times, trying to scent the approaching company. Her sense of smell wasn’t as acute as some of the other Demi-Humans, but she could smell more than the average person. This scent was similar to the dead human attached to her belt. ”It smells like Human and….death…” She stated curiously.

”Thanks! I think I might be kind of getting the hang of this.” Elsea said happily, the last bit only a little bit of a lie. Some of her previous anger was beginning to fade, especially as she began to take notice of the crystals around them. ”Oh wow…” She said in awe as she totally ignored Kyran leaving to check things out.

She kept the fire going and enjoyed the light show until Kyran got back. At his words, she turned to look at him in abrupt shock and fear. He had seemed so confident...was he overestimating his powers or are these people chasing us truly that frightening? She silently thought to herself as her fear seemed to cause the fire to die a bit. She had to turn her focus back to keeping it alive as she quickly followed Kyran, hoping they would find a way out.

After the last two who have expressed interest in potentially making a merfolk have created their characters we won't be accepting any more merfolk or half breed merfolk for a time until some of the other races get evened out. Sorry if this puts a damper on things, we just wanna make sure there's some variety in the rp. However, to the ones that have expressed interest in making a merfolk you are still welcome to making them :).

Torvi felt a surprising sense of relief as Bowyn promised not to harm her. Was he being completely honest? It sure did seem like it to her and for the time being, that was enough. She was tired and grief stricken, these two factors alone allowed for her to trust just a bit easier. Besides, she didn’t want to be alone. Not now and she would gladly take the company of a complete stranger who seemed to talk to birds.

She watched him as again he seemed to speak to the bird. She was curious if he was just crazy or if he could actually converse with animals. After seeing the image in the sky and being sucked into another world she decided it wouldn’t be entirely surprising. Anything was possible at this point in her mind.

She took a deep breath and quickly wiped the moisture of the tears off her face, doing her best to get a grip on herself once more. She was showing weakness, her father would be quite disappointed in her if he could see her now. Never show a stranger your weaknesses unless you can use it to your advantage, that’s always what he told his daughters. Perhaps she was using it to her advantage, though, as the man in front of her agreed to give her a place to rest for a bit.

”Sounds a lot like my home.” Torvi said with a small sigh in response to Bowyn’s admission that there wasn’t really anywhere safe for her here. It was definitely concerning that she was thrown into a place that seemed dangerous for her, but if she were being honest she seemed to trade one bad situation for another. At least here death wasn’t quite an immediate concern. ”Thank you, I really accept you generous hospitality. As soon as I’m rested up I will be sure to be out of your hair, I don’t wish to bring you any trouble.” She assured him as she began to follow him, noting the name of the bird that was with him. She had no clue where she should go, though. Did she want to find a way back to her home? Was there any point in really going back or should she try and build a new life here?

”How am I such a threat to this Aklenroth when he is able to create images in the sky like that? I am one small person, I have no great power like that.” She asked the fae male as they walked, wanting to learn more about this lich king and why she was brought here. If she could ever find the people who had summoned her here then she would have some words with them. Perhaps even an axe to the chest, just like her sister received.

I'm going to have to post my form tomorrow, unfortunately. I was working on the form and I had it in 'edit' mode so i could add bits and pieces throughout the day. I backspaced out of the page on accident for my latest installment, which finished half of the entire form. And all my writing's gone. I don't feel like trying to rewrite everything tonight, but I should have it done tomorrow.

Oh man that really sucks, I'm sorry >.<! Take your time tho, no rush ^_^!

Yo, this looks rad ! Could I perhaps steal the position of sailing master for the pirate ship? (Also, could she be a siren??)

Absolutely! I'm glad you're interested :). And she absolutely can be a siren, just remember every so often she has to spend a day in the ocean. It shouldn't be an issue tho :)!

@Tae@FunnyGuy Thank you both so much! I was just concerned with the specific duties they were in charge of. This cleared a lot of things up ^^

I should have my character sheet up later today

Sounds good! Looking forward to seeing it :).
