Current Sometimes you spend so long looking for peace in someone else, you loose sight of that peace you can give yourself. Don't forget that guys.

The three ships jump to lightspeed, leaving the capital ship and it's fighters behind. The republic commander frowns when sees the the rebels wink out of existence before the viewport. After a moment of contemplated, he turns to his radar tech. "Preform a sweep of the planet. See if you can locate their place of origin. The Chancellor said they had a hidden fortress somewhere here." To his comms officer, he says, "Send a squadron to do a visual fly over. I want every inch of this agricultural backwater combed. While you're at it, have a landing party assembled. Perhaps one of the locals knows something. We'll find these traitors yet."

I lean back in my seat, a wave of relief washing over me. "That was much too close." Quickly activates the intercom to confirm everyone is okay. When they all reply positively, I allow myself to fully relax. I stare out into the swirling blue tunnel of hyperspace until the HK droid returns to the cockpit. "Alright, Hank. We've got some time before we reach Alderaan. What in all the stars and planets is going on? What happened to Xan, and why didn't Theron of Ryder come with us?"

HK-49 'Hank'

Taking a position where I could move to aid Korre if she needed me, I face Jude. "Explanation: Theron Shan failed to join us due to an injury caused by Ryder Twilight, who failed to join us because he is no longer among the living. Cause of his death is unsure, but my memory core more or less cleared Master Jerus' suspicions of Senator Xanthippe. Senator Naberrie is in her current state due to pushing Master Zar'kun too far. Lament: If only he had called, I would have activated my assassination protocols happily. Resuming Explanation: Master Zar'kun allowed his mental state to lapse somewhat back to his days as the vicious Darth Crytos. Statement: You saw how that ended."

Zar'kun Je'and

With all ships safely in hyperspace and inbound for Alderaan, I call for Iwan and D4 to meet me in the lounge. Once we're all there, I look at the young man. "So, what do you remember of your time before where Xan found you?"
Watching Leah leave the hangar, I look around at the remaining gore, which would likely get cleaned up when the colony's issue was dealt with. "Back on ice..." As much as the idea had seemed appealing a moment ago, I knew I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I went back on ice while the Sector was in pieces. Motioning Jerra, the name I'd given to the panther, to follow me, we head for the drop pods. "Jerra and I will help on the ground. Zerg always did hate subzero temperatures." I pause a moment then facepalm.

"Jerra's the panther."
Right, so this is something of an AU from what the Star Wars Persistent World is doing, but myself and [@Lord Gressh] have enjoyed the story line for many years. Speaking of, Lord Gressh, if you have your characters stuff written up, just post it in the Character tab. Mine will be a bit behind.

The faint rumble of the rocket leaving it's housing barely registered as the Titan prepared herself for impact. It was like when she unleashed her Fists of Havoc, a short trip through the air before impact, powerful Arc energy blasting the area around her and turning her foes back into the cosmic dust from which they came. Before she knew it, the shell rumbled, knocking her down to one knee before she found her footing. Standing up once more, a single blow from her fist sent the door between her and the inside the enemy's ship. The Fourth Horseman came free from it's place on her back as she stepped out, barely noting the Waddle Dee trying to free it's arm before knocking it out with a kick to it's face. A voice to her right prompted her to turn and begin raising the shotgun before she registered that it was the gentleman from earlier, who had introduced himself as Slayer if memory served. "I imagine I do, as James and I herald from the same place. As for being irksome, that's part of a Hunter's job, I'm almost positive of it." He, however, made no further comment and instead suggested they move forwards towards their objective, wherever that might be. She nodded affirmative and followed behind him for a time, things being considered in her mind.

Here, she didn't have to worry about a pacifist trying to keep her from doing her job. She had seen what this group had done to Guile and she knew that negotiating was off the table. She began to pick up speed, dodging around the Waddle Dees and Doos where possible and firing a single round at those he couldn't avoid, sending them back to their void until they could regenerate. She eventually passed the vampire as she hit a sprint and moved like thunder down the hall, wishing she could use her shoulder charge. The run helped her clear her head and soon enough, the shotgun stopped ringing out in favor of left and right hooking the harmless seeming minions into walls. "Glad to see you've stopped wasting ammo." The Stalwart slowed down and resumed walking again, checking her corners as she went.

"I calmed down eventually, as I knew I would. I suppose Frisk's need to keep things peaceful irked me. I've simply decided it won't affect my mindset on this mission." Silence reigned between the Ghost and his Guardian before he spoke up again.

"And your relationship going forward with the pacifist themselves?" Alicia's response was quick, though not harsh.

"To be determined. For now, let's survive this mission." Her run had taken her away and around where Slayer was, so she arrived to the location of their final destination shortly after he did, but still heard his assessment of the enemy in front of them. "Energetic is an understatement." She could find no cover to take while firing aside from the doorway, but she was beyond sure that it's claw could tear apart the wall if it needed to. Her jump had limited height before she needed to touch down again, though she could imagine that something out there would allow her that comfort, and while her armor would afford her protection against the lack of air outside the ship, her companion had no such luck, meaning around the cannon was a no go.

"Well, we can't go around it, what with your lack of space worthy attire. Seems we'll have to figure out how to go through it."
Name: Rave "The Shadow" Mallard

Race: Terran

Faction: Spectre

Age:26

P.I.: 9

Physical Appearance: 6'2", bright red hair, deep green eyes, handsome face framed by high cheekbones

Personality: Quiet, calm, reasonable and clear headed person despite the hardships he's faced in his life.

Abilities: Blast pulse-Kills anything 5 feet in front of it and repels everything outside of 5 feet, Cloak, Crytokinesis, Suppress Psionic signature, budding Animal Empathy

Equipment: Prototype AGR-77 Gauss Rifle, modified C-150 pistol, Prototype HEA, twin Katanas, retractable claws in armor wrists, punch knives, two sabertooth knives

Pets: Jerra, Panther-like animal from an unknown planet John Jr had ended up on after a botched blink.

Backstory: Rave was conscripted into the Confederate Ghost program when he was of the tender age of ten after an incident with a bully at his school involving a small fight that caused his powers to manifest in the form of Crytokinetics. This occurred in the year 2488 just as the Guild Wars began. His parents, Reginold and Christine Mallard, were devastated when it was revealed to them that their son had latent psionic abilities. Saying their last goodbyes, the young man of ten years old promised his parents, natives of Tarsonis, he'd find a way to come back and get all of them away from this "bad place with bad people." His father, proud of his son, took one last picture of him before he was taken away forever, immortalizing Rave's brilliant smile in the photograph along with all the happy memories.

For eight years Rave trained in the way all Confederate Ghosts did, having psionic inhibitors placed inside him like any other Ghost. Soon after his graduation in 2496, was put on duty in an outer installation doing top secret research on new weapons for the Confederacy by studying alien artifacts and energy sources. He spent two years on this installation, near the world of Mar Sara while other Ghosts hunted rebel groups like the Sons of Korhal. In 2498 he was recalled to review a few of the new recruits to the Ghost Program, among them Johnny Raynor, son of now infamous rebel James Raynor. Saying they would make the cut, something most of the Ghosts there agreed upon despite just giving an experienced opinion that would be ignored, he was dispatched off world to Antiga Prime.

He was still on Antiga Prime when the Sons of Korhal arrived and instigated rebellion in early 2500. He fought up against the insurrection until the Confederate base was overrun and then joined them rather than be killed and never get to see his parents again when Sarah Kerrigan gave him the option. He stayed with the SoK, having his psi inhibitors removed shortly after joining up, until after the massacre on Tarsonis and the abandonment of Sarah Kerrigan. Accompanying Jim down to the surface to try and save as many people as he could, he found his parents home destroyed, with his family's bodies ripped apart. All he found still intact was a single photograph he vaguely remembered from the day he was taken into the Ghost Program. In it was a picture of a smiling young man, about age ten, with bright red hair like his and deep green eyes standing in a hug with a man and woman who looked like his parents. A single tear fell from his eyes as he unframed the picture, folded it up and slid it into an empty ammo pouch.

Leaving Tarsonis behind with Raynor and his newly formed Raiders, he assisted in capturing the Hyperion before taking his leave and going off the radar for a few years, barely avoiding detection by a team of UED Ghosts when they arrived in the sector and then later Nova Terra in 2503 after becoming one of the first New Spectres outside of the official Project Shadowblade when she and the Annihilators defeated it and destroyed Gehenna Station. He's since joined up with the Raiders again, helping Tosh train new Spectres as they're created, guiding them down the right path. When he's not teaching, he's helping test new gear.

Notes: The AGR-77 has an underslung shotgun along with a built in suppressor that can be deactivated. Can also fire psionically charged rounds.

The C-150 was taken off of a dead UED marine and is modified with reflex sight, silencer and laser sight.

The HEA, or Hostile Environment Armor, is equipped with a built in Nyx-Class cloaking module along with providing 150% better protection than the HES without sacrificing maneuverability. Also comes with thermal, magnetic and night vision visual modes.

The katanas are made from the highest quality neo-steel and are made in the traditional manner, not in a mold.
This is something of an ode to an age gone for those of us who came here from the SC2 website before the changes to it's forum.

To help a Spider

As Souta moved himself into position for his power attack, Wrath hopped back a couple of steps, sheathing the Rage Bringer to draw Death's Rain, leveling the crossbow even with the monstrosity's center mass and waiting. While the Nephilim wasn't entirely sure what blacksmith was up to, he could see that some kind of opening was about to be created and he wasn't going to miss the chance for a decisive blow, no matter how strange the set up might seem.

Sure enough, however, as the clip of bolts began to head towards max speed for a Burst Shot, Souta's hammer struck a powerful blow to the top of the undead creature before sending him sailing away. Wrath capitalized, tossing the crossbow up into the air after locking the trigger to keep charging it and moving in. Rage Bringer flew free of it's place on his back, connecting a powerful blow to the creature's caved top half before being spun around to making a powerful horizontal slash across where it's midriff would normally be. Leaping up, the Nephilim landed on the creature's chest and pushed off as he sheathed his great sword once more, knocking it off balance and landing in a crouch after flipping and catching the crossbow as it finished falling and spinning up. "And here's the money shot." In a surprisingly spectacular flash, the full clip discharged in a shotgun style blast nearly point blank into the mass of flesh, shredding it where it stood.

As the Penguin spoke his protests, the Titan almost channeled her inner Hunter and put a round in him right then and there. She was almost positive that James would have, though the more she thought about it, she was pretty sure that he would have told Frisk in some not so kind words what his pacifism was doing for the group in Dreamland. Still, she shook her head and opted instead to try and prepare mentally. Shortly after she closed her eyes and quietly started humming to herself, the ship jumped, and then shortly after that, klaxons were going off indicated they had been engaged.

Dedede continued making excuses and a plan of action was laid out by Vault Boy, which Alicia mentally kicked herself for not thinking of her jumpship back at Platform City. It was too late for it though and instead, she stood and headed towards the shells marked for the boarding squad. At least until Dedede protested going with them, at which point she turned towards him, but Cloud beat her to it. Still, he persisted in fighting the motion and so she walked over to him, pulled her 4th Horseman free from her back and parked the four barrels against his back. "One twitch of my finger is all it takes, penguin. Get in the shell."

Slayers-Legends out of Time/Damian Gerard-A New Dawn

"One hundred years? Has it...really..." Tears began to form in Wendy's eyes and she turned away as Gajeel stepped forwards, appraising the group around the slayers.

"If it's been a hundred years, why do you all smell like you only have about a decade's worth of magic experience on you? What happened?" Jack Goran stepped up and Natsu, recognizing the smell of his magic, moved forwards with fire around his fist, but didn't move as Jack held up his hand.

"Peace, Natsu Dragneel, I am no Zancrow. As for why it seems like the mages gathered before you lack the experience of mages in your time, that's because when Zeref twisted you into dragons and forced you to obey his commands, magic saw a severe decline in popularity. It's only been within the last several years that mages could use their magic without fear of reprisal, which was often violent. The Council was forced to throw innocent mages, mages who's only crime was wielding magic, into prison in order to keep the peace. In short," he sighed, pointing at himself and a couple of Frenzy Plant's mages, "very few were fortunate enough to have real tutelage." Sting stepped forwards next, his face solemn.

"If that's how it's been until recent history, how are things now?"

Damian was still reeling from what he was seeing when Penny stumbled towards him and his instincts kicked in before he processed what was happening. A flurry magic rose around him as he brought his Ares Blade to bear, and then he finished processing and the magic faded with his sword as he moved forwards. "Easy, Penny. I'm here, I'm OK. Little dazed, little confused, entirely lost, but alive and well."
