Goes by Ellie, only her mother calls her Eleanor when she's angry.
Hair: Brown | Wavy | Usually worn down and natural. She doesn’t fuss too much with it, but every so often she'll curl or straighten it for special occasions or just because she's in the mood.
Body Type: Ellie has a slim build and a petite frame. She's not athletic in the slightest (gym is the bane of her existence), so her arms and legs aren't all that muscular. However, her limbs and overall stature are complementary of her height and delicate facial features.
Clothing Style: As her parents taught her from a young age, Ellie makes the most of the least and tends to thrift the majority of her clothing in order to not exhaust her limited wardrobe (and mostly save money). You’ll often find her at Savers and Salvation Army in Columbus as well as the Savers near where Liberty High used to be before they shut down, as the clothes are infinitely nicer over there. She doesn’t understand how people just get rid of designer clothes when they’re in perfect condition, but she benefits from it regardless! Her style is eclectic and vintage pieces mixed with upscale throwaways when she can find them.
Makeup Wise: Always wears light and natural makeup at school but will put looks together to go with her outfits sometimes. If she ever wears lipstick, it's either nude or red.
Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: Ellie only has her ears pierced, nothing more.
It's hard to talk about Ellie's personality without first mentioning her artistic nature. A creative soul, the brunette thinks abstractly in color and sees in patterns and shapes. Whether it be through paint, music, or photography, Ellie's eye and ear when it comes to art is second to none. This talent is also quite telling of her imaginative mind. She's always envisioning new ideas and dreaming big dreams, bigger than Rosefell or Columbus, Ohio itself. The girl is incredibly passionate about her craft and her identity is heavily shaped by her artistic aspirations.
Other than her affinity to right-brained activities, Ellie is described by her friends as open, easy going and bubbly. You can always rely on her to be a sunny and bright spot on an otherwise gloomy day with her positive and cheery demeanor, and as she is unmistakably an extrovert, she will go out of her way to make an impact on others and show them that she cares. Kindhearted and loving, Ellie takes great pride and puts a heavy emphasis on showing and conveying her emotions to those that she holds close. Some might interpret it as her being sensitive, but it is simply how she expresses her feelings. It's not abnormal for her to remind her friends and loved ones every so often of how much she values having them in her life.
One of the negative things that come with being energetic is that Ellie can be inherently impulsive at times. She might jump to conclusions or say the wrong thing when she doesn't mean it (maybe even get herself into situations that aren't the best), but she always finds a unique way to think outside of the box and rewind in order to solve each predicament as they come her way.
Ellie's parents met at Rosefell High nearly 29 years ago. Although Jennifer was a sophomore and Michael was a senior getting ready to graduate, there was an unmistakable connection and chemistry between them that couldn't be ignored. They started dating, and shortly after they both graduated from Columbus State Community College a few years later, they got married and bought a house down the road from Jen's parents, settling down to start a family together. First came Gabriel, and then along came Ellie two years after.
For the first few years of the brunette's life, her mother stayed home with her and her brother while their father worked day shifts at the local Autobody shop. At night, they'd switch, and Ellie's mom would go to work at the local hospital as a nurse. This hand off wasn't by choice, but out of pure necessity, as money was quite tight in those beginning years. By the time that Ellie was 6, things were falling into place. Michael was working his way up the ranks at the shop and Jennifer was offered a position as the school nurse at Rosefell Elementary where the Roberts' children attended. For the first time, the Roberts' could enjoy their nights together as a family. They'd eat dinner together, play board games, run around outside, and read stories from old worn books. Her parents instilled creativity in their children, having them use their imaginations to make the most out of the least. Sticks from the woods were swords in their Pirate fights, pillows and blankets created castles fit for royalty, and a kiddie pool in their backyard was the ocean in their summer vacation paradise. Even though didn't have much, they were happy, and this time spent strengthened their bond.
A formative moment in Ellie's childhood was when she was roaming about the house as a toddler and stumbled across an old set of paints. The colors were what first grabbed her attention, but what really captivated her was the freedom she had to create something completely her own. It was a concept she didn't understand at the time, but looking back, it's clear that young Ellie liked to color outside the lines both metaphorically and literally. Although the back wall of the basement was ruined, the brunette had begun to forge her own path and set herself on a trajectory to where she is now as a budding artist.
Today, the Roberts' family is thriving. Ellie's father now owns the auto body shop (renamed Roberts' Auto Repair), her mother is still happily employed at the Elementary School, and her brother is off at Ohio State with plans to go to medical school. They still don't have everything, but they've certainly come a long way from where they first started. A junior at Rosefell, Ellie still has a while before graduating high school. However, knowing that college looms in the distance, she works two jobs in order to save up for tuition- on Tuesdays and Thursdays she runs an after school art program for middle schoolers, and on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, she works at the local diner waitressing. She still isn't entirely sure how she's going to fund her way through Art school, but plans on applying for every scholarship under the sun. However, for now, she's soaking up her last few years at Rosefell and is ready to take on whatever the future throws at her.
Jennifer Roberts (Mother | 43 | FC: Robin Tunney)
The school nurse at Rosefell Elementary.
Michael Roberts (Father | 45 | FC: Ben Affleck)
Owner of Roberts' Auto Repair, a local autobody shop near Rosefell High.
Gabriel "Gabe" Roberts (Older Brother | 19 | FC: Cody Christian)
A student at The Ohio State University studying Biology on a Pre-Med track.
She drives an old Toyota Camry that was once her grandparents, but was given to her once they needed to get a new car. It was fixed up by her father, so it's in perfect condition under the hood, but it's certainly not glamorous on the outside. However, it gets her from place to place just fine!
Ellie always carries a sketch book and pens with her wherever she goes. You never know when an idea is going to come to you!
If you're looking for her, she can most likely be found either in the art room working on her next project or outside near the sports fields drawing flowers or playing music.
Halloween is my favorite holiday in general, but I love dressing up! Some of my favorites costumes from college include Power Rangers with a group friends (I was obvs Pink), Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy with my roommate, and a 60's housewife.

Hunter Wade Quinn ↳ Hunter. Only Hunter.
Cisgendered Male; He/Him
Bisexual - no specific lean
Caucassian (German, Irish, Hungarian)
Taken (dating someone from Liberty High but nobody knows)
Hair: Dark brown | Neck-length | Doesn’t usually style it unless it’s a special occasion.
Eyes: Hazel/light brown
Height & Weight: 6’1”/182cm | 180lbs/82kg
Body Type: Hunter has a rather athletic build and very little body fat.
Clothing Style: Hunter’s closet is relatively modern, though there are some throwbacks to the 90s and early 2000s. He has a lot of shirts that are bought from clearance sales and Good Will. Flannel shirts, a few pairs of jeans, and some band memorabilia he stole from a hot topic a few times. A lot of what he owns has been given to him by relatives or stolen. He has a couple of pairs of sunglasses, but honestly that’s it for him as far as accessories are concerned.
At first glance, Hunter seems nearly harmless. People will talk, sure, but his bravado isn’t nearly as scary as when you meet him up close and get to know him a little better. The rumors of him being a problem child, someone whose ego doesn’t know any limits but new ones to create, and his ability to throw the first and last punch may have been greatly underexaggerated. He will in fact punch you in your face if you say something stupid (or what he perceives as stupid). He has a problem about being wrong, which in his case is a lot but that’s beside the point. He hates when he’s being called out about it and throws a two-year-old-level tantrum, which often leads to said punching. His attitude is nasty and teeters on unbearable.
But to some he considers very close friends, there are moments -- and with them, this is almost always his default setting -- Hunter is a delight to be around. He has an adventurer-like mindset and almos always will make you smile with his wit and actions. He knows all of the best ways to get by in this stupid town. If you back him up or he considers you a friend, you will always have him in your corner. Of course, this is assuming that Hunter doesn’t get you thrown in detention or jail because of his loyalty. His recklessness seems to come hand in hand with the fuzz or some authority-type of figure not far behind.
But hey! With Hunter, there is never a dull moment regardless if he’s being a pain in your ass or not.
The only thing stable about Hunter’s life -- both what it is right now and what it was like for him growing up -- was the fact that it wasn’t stable.
Born out of a loveless relationship that was too apparent to Hunter since he could understand exactly how much of a bastard his father was, his father, Ricky Quinn, was something of a turbulent storm that just got worse as the years went by. And his mother wasn’t any better. Emily Weston was just as much of a screw up as he was. The only saving grace that came out of their relationship was that her parents happened to recognize she needed help and sent her off to rehab shortly after giving birth to Hunter. But in doing so, they refused to do anything for Hunter and Ricky. Whether he liked it or not (he didn’t), hunter was stuck with him.
And what a fucking pleasure that was.
When they weren’t at each other’s throats, Ricky barely was around for Hunter to remain angry at him. Of course, he still held grudges from the time he found out what a grudge was, which wasn’t long after when he figured out he would have to grow up fast. Just imagine an eight-year-old realizing this. Some father Ricky is, huh?
And as he grew up, his anger festered with time. From fights and stints in juvie, whether Hunter would like to admit it or not, but he was just like his father: angry, bitter, and too pissed off at the world for his own good. But unlike Ricky, there was someone there for him.
At the height of his freshman year, just three months off of his early Juvi release, Hunter’s reputation of being a violent sociopath -- which was greatly exaggerated -- also landed him into some fights. Some with his own classmates but also with upperclassmen. He picked a fight with a few known gang members thinking he was hot shit. And after he was given a broken nose, eye, and a few bruised ribs, he found himself in the hospital. It was all very ugly but he was visited by the head coach for the Rosefell Knights, Coach Zachary Porter. He wasn’t in any mood to hear it, but being bedridden, he had no choice. The coach was disappointed that Hunter was in the position that he was. After a brief conversation, though, the coach had sweet-talked Hunter with the possibility of joining the football team. Hunter wasn’t sure, but the promise of being able to hit someone without getting into trouble (or winding up dead) was appealing to him.
He thought about it. And thought about it some more, but after nearly a week, Hunter accepted it. There was a part of him -- a hidden part he would never allow himself to let anyone but a chosen few see -- that felt like that was the first time anyone who didn’t want to kill him that showed any interest in what he was doing. The coach was the first male figure in his life that didn’t make him feel like shit. That resonated with him.
And to this day, he keeps up with his grades as minimally as he can with the only hope that he can stay on the team and bash in people’s faces without getting detention.

Hair: Deep dark brown | Thick and straight | Sometimes styled in waves..
Eyes: Dark brown

Makeup Wise: Likes to experiment with makeup.

Sighing and rolling her eyes at the back of the class is where you will find Aramintah. Her motivation in school has hit an all-time low and she would rather do anything else than to attend her classes. So more often than not she skips her classes to sit outside with her sketchbook and her worn-down prismacolors creating sketches and pictures to post on her art Instagram.
But as soon as someone mentions something fun to do she will be there with her full attention to help out. Say you want to play a prank on the jocks of the football team? Minty will offer to be the lookout or distraction. As long as she can be part of something that will cause some trouble. But if it doesn’t go as she had planned she will let you know and make sure she gets her way through.
During her gap year after graduate school Elin Wallenberg decided to travel around in South East Asia with a few friends. The gang decided to end their trip in Malaysia, and for their first night, they planned a wild night out in Kuala Lumpur. While at a rooftop bar Elin caught the eye of the bartender Rohan Goh and they really hit it of. One thing led to another and they ended up spending the night together. It was like a thunderbolt hit the couple and they spent Elin’s last days wrapped up in each other.
The couple tried long-distance for two years before they couldn’t handle it anymore and with the help of Elin’s father, a big banker with a lot of connections, they finally got Rohan over to Ohio. They settled in nicely in Columbus in a small house after getting married. Soon after that, they had their first child a sweet boy named Iwan.
Two years after on an April afternoon their little family was completed with a baby girl that they named Aramintah. Elin was ecstatic since she wanted a girl that she could dote over. So growing up Minah was pushed into all sorts of activities that her mother thought a little girl should be in like: Ballet, piano, and horseback riding. But nothing ever stuck with Minah so she usually would just stand in the corner and scream until her mother would give up and take her home. The only thing Minah wanted to do was to draw or paint.
Growing up Minty has had the pressure to follow in her perfect brother's footsteps. Iwan got straight A’s, Iwan has a plan to become a lawyer and Iwan likes to help around the house. And Aramintah just stands behind her brother rolling her eyes and sighing. Since she is now the only child in the house the spotlight has been put on her and both of her parents have put even more pressure on her to at least graduate high school.
Since her mother has always wanted to make a life of her own she refused to take handouts from her parents, so instead Elin works day and night to provide for her family. However much Minty and her mother buts head she will always respect her for that.

Samantha stands at a stout 5'5" and weighs a mere 115 lbs on a very small frame. Her hair is primarily a light brown with a few blonde highlights added in artificially. Samantha is very rarely seen without her signature makeup on -- eyeliner, concealer, foundation... the works! You'd have to catch her in very private and intimate moments to see her without her makeup on. It helps her disguise one of her biggest insecurities. Additionally, Samantha tends to wear clothing on the tighter side. Leggings, small t-shirts, and tank-tops make up a significant amount of her wardrobe, despite the rather not-ideal climate of Ohio. Samantha does not have any piercings at this time, but Samantha very so desperately wants to get a Sailor Moon symbol tattooed on her wrist.
Samantha can be described as a very ambitious girl who is also very much a go-getter. Samantha is surprisingly very adept at reading people and knowing what it takes to please people and whatever else they want, sometimes using that to her advantage. She is also rather self-centered and has very little regard for relationships and feelings, especially if they get in her way. Samantha has learned how to employ a high amount of energy and charisma to her advantage to further assist her toward achieving her goals. Additionally, she values her own goals and ambitions very highly, and she will do whatever it takes to get whatever edge she can on her journey to achieve her goals, even if it may be at the cost of other people and their well-being.
Samantha Queen was adopted from an orphanage in Cleveland, Ohio at a mere six months old by Isaac and Erin Queen. The two had decided from early on in their relationship that they weren't exactly enthusiastic about the prospect of having kids of their own when there were many kids in foster homes and orphanages across the entire world. They didn't have to go very far, however, to find Samantha. They just took one look at her lil baby lookin' ass and they fell in love! It didn't take much longer for them to adopt her into their family.
Little did Isaac and Erin know, their style of parenting was very enabling, which contributed to why Samantha is the way that she is today. The slightest hint of negative emotion from Samantha meant that Erin and Isaac dropped whatever the heck they were doing and appeased Samantha however they could. That meant Samantha got whatever she wanted, and she started to learn just how she could accomplish such a feat. As a result, she managed to get her parents to get her an assortment of video games since they appealed to her and she took quite a liking to them, despite her supposed lack of skill in them.
Today, she has a following on social media as she streams twice a week to her audience. Many people tune in to watch her play video games for hours at a time, not knowing that Samantha is still in high school. She manages to squeeze a decent amount of money from them, and has no intention of stopping, and every intention of squeezing even more money from them in the future.

Never-been-kissed single virgin by day Secretly talking to a Rosefell boy in DMs by night
The Quiet One/Misfit
Hair: Shoulder-length salted caramel waves
Body Type: Thin and lanky, sometimes to an unhealthy extent
Clothing Style: Niki’s style could be described as somewhat bohemian with a preference for oversized clothes in neutral colors that hide their body. A trained eye could tell that they certainly have a taste for fashion, but they are holding themselves back from truly expressing themselves with it. That trained eye would be correct in this assumption, as Nik really enjoys the culture of fashion and follows many models, brands, and trends on social media. They even have a sewing machine that they have tried to make their own clothes on before… but none of these pieces have seen the light of day. Not yet, at least.
Makeup Wise: They want to wear it publicly but thus far have only done so with tinted chapsticks and barely there nude eyeshadows. In the safety of their bedroom, though, they experiment with colors and trying to recreate looks that they find on Instagram.
Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: Nik occasionally wears a septum ring and has a scar on their left eyebrow from an old piercing that healed over. Nik also has a collection of self-inflicted scars along their forearms and thighs which they keep hidden under long sleeves, even in the warmer months.
Niki typically goes through life as a wallflower, quietly blending in with baggy clothes in muted colors. They don’t want to be noticed, not really. If someone does happen to notice them, that person will find a kind hearted and open-minded individual, despite their brokenness, perhaps even because of it. Silent and introverted, Nik much prefers listening to talking, especially now that their voice has grown deeper, which they don’t like to hear out loud. Regardless of insecurities, listening to others’ thoughts and ideas and feelings has always been better than dwelling on one's own struggles. The teen’s quiet nature can make them seem aloof and stoic, but they are by no means judgemental or closed off, they’re just… in their own head a lot of the time. Those closest to Niki know that they will fight more to support their friends than they ever would fight for themself. This combination of traits makes a Niki a hard friend to make, but a wonderful friend to have and keep.
It was obvious to Nikolai’s parents from a very young age that their son was different. On christmas he asked for both Tonka trucks and Barbie dolls. He would go outside and catch bugs and then come inside to play princess dress up with his older sister. Kids can be like that sometimes, so his parents didn’t think much of it. The other children didn’t seem to mind, so why should they, if Nikolai was doing what made him happy?
When Nikolai was in late elementary and early middle school, things grew more complicated. The girls in his class started wearing make-up and giggling about bras and boys. Nik wanted to be like them, so he talked to his parents about this and, because they loved him, his mother took him to the store and picked out some makeup and training bras. Nik proudly wore these things to school the next day.
At first, everything went unnoticed by his peers. The makeup was subtle, and the bra hidden safely under his shirt. Nik was confident and happy, feeling pretty, like he had always wanted to feel. This happiness was short lived, however, as adolescents tend to ostracize those who stray from the social norm. Niki dared to wear a dress after convincing his mother that it would be okay, and that his friends said it would be fine. It wasn’t okay, and those ‘friends’ laughed at him. Nikolai was brutally bullied by his fellow students, physically by the boys and socially by the girls. He quickly became a social outcast, labeled ‘freak’ and ‘gay’ and whatever other unclever nicknames the kids had cooked up on any particular day.
The bullying grew so intense that Nik’s parents had to relocate the whole family so that their child could attend a different school and have a brand new start at Liberty High for freshman year of high school. Unbeknownst to them, it was already too late, the internal damage had been done. Nikolai had become a different person; Their once bright and colorful child had faded to grey. The criticisms of his peers had become his own, yet amplified. The older he got, the less he felt like a he… but not completely like she, either. They became they, and they became no one.
A new school did little to improve Nik’s quality of life. They went to class and did their homework, because they had to. They came home and sat alone in their room, avoiding their parents and what few friends they had still managed to keep. Sometimes they would stare at the full length mirror behind their door for hours, a black sharpie in hand that they used to draw X’s above all of the flaws in their reflection. No one is sure when those markered X’s on the mirror turned into razor kisses on their skin, but they did. Niki intentionally picked out and wore baggy clothing to hide the scars and marks, and also to camouflage their body.
This downhill spiral of unseen psychological warfare and battles with self-harm led to where these struggles unfortunately sometimes do lead. Halfway through the spring semester of their sophomore year, Nik switched directions and intentionally cut deeper. Whether it was the sight of so much blood, or the sheer loss of it, Niki passed out almost immediately. They awoke in a hospital bed, confused and bandaged up with a very forlorn looking mother and father staring back at them. After a period of physical healing, Nik was checked into Treewit Psychiatric Hospital for Adolescents, where they were diagnosed with and treated for depression and anxiety related to Gender Dysphoria and disordered eating related to Body Dysmophic Disorder.
Their grades were good enough that they didn’t have to repeat sophomore year, but they did not return to Liberty High to take their final exams, and instead took them from their facility. Nik was released from Treewit midway through summer vacation where they spent most of their time healing and focusing on their hobbies: crafting, sewing, reading fantasy novels, and spending way too much time on the internet. Niki only met with his closest friends from Liberty High during the summer, who informed them that their school was closing and they’d be headed to Rosefell High in the fall instead. As for all of Niki’s other peers and classmates, they have not interacted with them since the day before Nik’s brush with death and mysterious disappearance from school. This will, no doubt, be a topic of gossip when they finally do return to the school halls. Or maybe… nobody but Nik’s best friends even noticed that they were gone.
Transgender — Niki currently prefers they/their pronouns because their gender identity is still undetermined and non-binary.
Overly self critical — This sometimes manifests physically in the form of nail biting, skin picking, and other self-harming behaviors.
Mirrors — Nik is either obsessively looking in them to analyze their reflection, or obsessively avoiding them in shame of their own appearance.
Disordered eating — Niki goes through bouts of complete avoidance of food as a means to cope with their discontent in their own body. It is not that Niki sees themself as overweight, it is the incessant recurring negative thoughts about their own body being imperfect and mismatched that pushes Nik to change it. As plastic surgery isn’t an option yet, eating is something that Niki can and does limit to alter their appearance.

"As long as you know men are like children, you know everything!" — Coco Chanel
Park Mi-Kyong ↳ Miki/Mikki.
Cisgendered Female; She/Her
Closested Lesbian but dates boys to keep up appearances
Princess || Prep || Cheerleader
Appearance Details Can be paragraphs or bullets following this guideline:
Hair: Brown with highlights | Mid-back length | Miki styles her hair in various ways and uses a myriad of products to make it as silky smooth as she can.
Eyes: Hazel/light brown
Height & Weight: 5’4”/ | 120lbs/55kg
Body Type: Miki has a petite figure. Due to her interest in athletics and looking the best that she can, her body is toned in an athletic way, especially her legs. They are easily her best feature.
Clothing Style: Miki doesn’t have a specific, unique style per se. What she does have, however, is a very materialistic taste. If it’s not Dior or Gucci, then she’s not interested in wearing it. It doesn’t matter how nice it is. A princess would never wear anything the peasants would. In her two walk-in-closets, she has amassed a rather extensive catalog of dresses, blouses, jeans, yoga pants, shorts, heels, flats, shoes, and that’s not even including her accessories. She has bracelets, bags because obvious no princess closet would be complete without the finest Chanel bags money could buy (and she has one for every day in the week).
Make-Up Of course, the Liberty High Princess has to glam it up. Her fashion is nothing if her face is plain Jane. Whether mascara or rosy lipstick, Miki’s makeup is always on-point. There will never be a day you’ll see her without any sort of emergency kit in her purse.
Piercings Miki has both of her earlobes pierced as well as her tongue and belly button.
If you think you’re on Miki’s level, rethink your life, sweetie. There is nobody, not at Liberty and not at Rosefell -- especially Rosefell -- who is on her level. And that’s a fact.
Or at least the princess likes to think that.
Truth be told, Miki isn’t exactly a good person. She likes to think that she is. To her, she thinks she’s freaking magnificent. Caring to those she considers her subjects and devoted to making sure they idolize her. That’s obviously what a ruler should hope for. And boy does she feed off of the attention. Being adored and praised makes her feel good about herself. Of course, she has the highest opinion of herself so that should tell you exactly how much having the validation of her “peers” means to her.
But don’t let this phoniness fool you in the slightest. On the surface, she might be happy to be around people who aren’t in her inner-circle, but there’s an ugliness about Miki. it’s something she hides well because she has her poker face down to an artform, but she is an incredibly judgmental person who is also often hypocritical. Think of her as a Regina George with the poise of royalty and all of the genuine personality of Kylie Jenner. Just think about that for a moment and you’ll understand just what kind of ugly person she is. It’s not that she had a tough childhood or anything, but being around so much privilege allowed her to develop this sense of superiority that found a home where humility should be.
If she does have friends, Miki is selective about who she trusts completely. She’s one of those people who would prefer to have something over her “friends” so she can trust them while having a safety net to fall back on in the worse case scenario.
Today was a great day for the world.
On May 29th, 2002, when it was likely hot or cold somewhere, I came into the world. I know, it’s not like my birth was God had a hand in it. Oh wait, yes she did. God is a Woman by the way. I know everyone will be angry I said that, but I am only speaking facts.
Wait where was I? Oh, right!
So anyway, I came into the world. Born to the name of Park Mi-Kyong. I know for you American’s, it’s hard to fathom, so you can just call me Miki. Or Princess Miki. Actually, I definitely prefer you to call me a princess. Momma and Daddy wouldn’t like it if you didn’t treat me with the respect like I know they expect you to show me. You know, daddy is a hotshot CEO. His family’s company is one of those international ones that own everyone’s asses.
Sorry daddy, I didn’t mean to curse. I know it’s unladylike but morons won’t learn if you don’t stoop to their level.
And speaking of my wonderful parents, Daddy is Philip Lambert. He’s got a few siblings but I don’t know them that well. They live on the east coast. I also got a few cousins who live in Palm Beach. Again, don’t know them. Mom was born in Seoul but moved to Columbus around the same time she met Daddy. Mom’s name is Ahnjong. A lot of her American colleagues just call her Annie. It’s so demeaning cause momma’s name is so beautiful and pristine. But I guess sheep really will stick to their guns. I respect that.
Oh and momma is a doctor. Neurosurgeon. Of course, Daddy wouldn’t marry someone who wasn’t intelligent. How do you think I became so utterly amazing? Like duh!
Anyway, I grew up on the best side of town. You know the part of Columbus that wasn’t anywhere near those thugs who attend Rosefell. Like why on god’s green earth would I ever want to venture into the slums of Rosefell when I am perfectly content in Liberty? Ugh, it’s like you expect me to mingle with them. I won’t! And you can’t make me.
...Calm down, Miki. It’s not like you would ever have to leave your wonderful life and your superior school. Nothing in the world would.

Hair: Michael's hair is black, which he sometimes dyes a hint of blonde in. He has his edges shaven and often keeps it trimmed. Michael keeps his hair fluffed up in the middle.
Eyes: Light Brown
Weight: 156 lbs
Body Type: Michael has a slim build to his body and is very petite. Many think that he's fragile but he does have some muscle. Only some.
Clothing Style: Michael is a really casual dresser. He wears mostly graphic t-shirts, skinny jeans, cargo shorts, and Chuck Taylor Converses.
Scars, Tattoos, and/or Piercings: He has both of his ears pierced along with an industrial piercing in his left ear. His body is literally riddled with tattoos, which he hopes to add more soon. He has his right arm covered with tattoos. Has no scars or blemishes whatsoever.

Unfortunately, Michael's upbringing isn't a pleasant one. He doesn't know his biological parents, was bounced around from foster home to foster home, and had never been in a stable situation. Michael is so fucked up because of his upbringing that it is not even funny. Although, he doesn't let his upbringing define how he lives his life today.
His life did get a little bit better whenever he was adopted by The Rodriguez's family. Michael was eleven whenever he was adopted into their family and his life was suddenly looking up. He got just about everything he had ever wanted, his new family loved him and his new brother showed him the ropes of the house. Michael and his brother did fight sometimes but those were ended abruptly because of their parents. It was still kind of rough for him growing up and adjusting to his new family because he wasn't used to certain situations such as people being nice to him and actually celebrating birthdays along with holidays.
But a few years passed and Michael was enrolled in Rosefell High in the middle of his Freshmen semester. He found it really hard to make friends until he opened his mouth to sing, which he hasn't done in quite some time but would love to do again or told people he sold weed. He is by accompanied many friends, some friends with benefits, and even some people he can share a blunt or two with. He likes it at Rosefell and is surprisingly on the A&B Honor Roll and can't wait until prom along with graduation. And since he heard of Liberty High kids coming to his school, it is time for him to make some serious money. He knows how rich kids like to get down.

Favorite part about Halloween is watching scary movies all night long and eating candy.
Stephanie stands at an average 5’2”, sporting the fair-skinned, petite frame with hourglass figure that characterizes the female members of her family. Her dark hair is usually worn down in either their natural soft waves or flat-ironed straight, and is so long it easily reaches the small of her back. Her most prominent features are easily her big brown doe eyes and her full, cupid-shaped lips, which she accentuates with the use of makeup.
In terms of outfits, Steph's a fashion chameleon. Her exact style is difficult to describe, as it can range from different types of grunge: girly, sporty, goth, casual, etc, and even go to just straight out casual or sporty. The use of dark colors is frequent, especially the color black. She's often compared to the Bratz doll Jade.
As it stands, Spice has a whooping fourteen piercings: six consecutive small ones on the earlobe on each ear, a daith hoop on her left ear and one in her navel. When it comes to tattoos, the girl currently has seven of what she knows will be many: a yellow sunflower on the inside of her left wrist, a small broken heart in red in on the outside of her right wrist, astronomy-related black tattoos on her right-hand's knuckles (a moon, a sun, a planet and a star) and an Arabic proverb in black ink going down her spine that reads “fire only burns he who approaches it”.
Spunky, mouthy and arrogant: the three words that best described the girl nicknamed Spice.
Upon first impressions, Steph is far from the friendliest girl in the block. With her eternal resting bitch face, sharp-tongue and abrasive attitude, people are quickly put off by her. After enough time spent in her presence, her other features come to the surface: judgmental, arrogant, blunt and the type to do what she wants when she wants. She's quick to lash out and put those who wrong her in her place with venom in her words; an art she's mastered during the course of many lover's quarrels. You have her ex-boyfriend to thank for this little monster.
However, there is a side to Stephanie that not many people get to experience: the outgoing, fun-loving and laid-back girl. To those she considers close ones, Spice will be the most loyal, caring person on the planet. She will go to great lengths to defend those important to her, keep your deepest, darkest secrets, and will do whatever is in her power to make them happy. Stephanie will stay up all night listening to your issues and comforting you if it's necessary, but will be the same person you can expect to tell it to you how it is. As a lover, she is very flirtatious, passionate and intense, though paranoia and jealousy are her biggest enemies.
Stephanie Elizabeth and Brandon Clyde made their first appearance into the world thirteen minutes apart on a warm May afternoon of the new millennium, first and only children to Benedict and Arabella Cross. The twins had a fairly normal childhood, consisting of causing plenty of mischief together with a bond so strong it baffled those around them. At school, Bran and Spice were average students, with a stable group of friends and active in different extracurricular activities.
At the age of sixteen, Stephanie got herself involved in what would be the relationship to change the course of her life. She’d fallen helplessly in love with Ethan Anderson: a wanna-be rockstar five years her senior who gave her the first taste of the dark side. Although things had started out good enough, they soon took a turn for the worst, and Spice found herself sinking further and further into a manipulative relationship full of constant fights and arguments. Having gone through a toxic, difficult relationship in the past herself, Mrs. Cross had noticed the signs, and decided to step in before the situation could escalate. After much deliberation and consideration the Cross parents concluded that the best course of action was to send Stephanie to live with her father’s sister in Ohio. This, of course, was not well received by the twins, who had never been separated for a period of time longer than a month. Spice still clearly remembers the immense heartbreak of that last hug with Brandon, even if she knew she would see him again soon.
Surprisingly, Spice had grown to enjoy Columbus and the opportunities it provided. The fresh start had been a blessing, allowing her to shed the mean-girl reputation she’d thrived upon back in LA and build up the rebellious wild child one instead. Although she'd kept some of her bad habits, the Columbus Stephanie had made a name for herself in Rosefell High: with a faithful best friend and a high position in the school's social ladder. But, of course, the girl was excited to see what the future after graduation would bring.

"I'm in the business of misery, let's take it from the top She's got a body like an hourglass, it's ticking like a clock..."
Melissa Victoria Elliott
Mel, Envy, Queen. If you call her Missy one time, you won't have the tongue to do it a second time.
Bi-curious following a string of failed relationships
Alpha Cheerleader, Queen of the Thorns
"Well there's a million other girls who do it just like you Looking as innocent as possible to get to who They want and what they like, it's easy if you do it right"
Hair: Blonde | Wavy | Melissa usually wears her hair down and lets the locks flow as they will. The bounce in her hair helps make her cheerleading moves pop even more. She will straighten it on occasion, but she has to have a very good reason for doing so.
Height: 5'5", 127 lbs. Oh, you only asked for height? Too bad.
Body Type: Melissa is athletic enough to be able to lift when needed, yet light enough to go skyward. She's a jill of all trades and it's what got her the captaincy.
Clothing Style: The head cheerleader has to look like the head cheerleader, no? So Melissa decks herself out in the best clothes that she can get from Old Navy or H&M when they are on sale. Usually H&M so she can take advantage of her mother's company discount. Tank tops in the blistering Ohio summer, blouses and sweaters in the chilling Ohio winter. However, her pride and joy is her Rosefell Knights cheerleaders uniform, which is always kept in pristine condition. She will wear it on every spirit day.
Makeup Wise: Melissa favors a glamorous look that makes sure attention is on her. Thanks to her mom's friend, she has a near endless supply of samples from Sephora that she will swap in and out when necessary. She likes to add sparkles wherever she can, because they bring out the glint in her blue eyes, and draw attention to her lips when included in her gloss.
Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: Melissa has a scar on her right elbow from where she crashed into a fence pole while attempting to do cartwheels at age eight. Both ears are pierced in the lobe, and she has plans for tattoos like a rose blossom on her lower back when she gets old enough.
Personality Traits Melissa is 100% that bitch.
Oh you want more than that? Fine.
Melissa definitely thinks she's hot shit and she acts like it. She knows what she wants and she takes it. Anyone who doesn't have her seal of approval, she'll talk down to. She doesn't see Rosefell High for its flaws. She sees it for what it can be, and anyone who isn't actively contributing to that is part of the problem. That being said, it's hard to find good quality people among the riff raff in the school, but she's managed to find a couple other girls she trusts with her life.
She does have a generous side. She is very active in school initiatives in the community, as well as a couple of projects throughout the Westerville area. Nothing major, mostly helping with coat drives and food drives, helping the elderly with tasks, you know, the shit that looks really good on those university applications.
However, what really defines Melissa is her desire for control. Control over her own path, control of her relationships, she wants it in as many aspects as she can have it. After baring witness to the way her mother was treated by her father and how little say she actually has in her job, Melissa is determined not to let that happen to her. It's why there is a plan in place, and there is going to be nothing that stops her from achieving that goal of being the first in her family to attend THE Ohio State University on a full cheerleading scholarship.
"And if you could then you know you would 'Cause God it just feels so It just feels so good"
Melissa was born October 24, 2002 in Columbus, Ohio. Her mother Jessica was just 18 and was immediately disowned by her parents for baring a child out of wedlock, so she moved in with the baby's father, a 22-year-old itinerant mechanic named Luke Clarett. As first, things seemed stable enough, but soon Luke started dallying about, drinking on the job, and bemoaning his lot in life. By the time Jessica's sister Zoey was born, the fighting was starting to get loud. Eventually it built up to a cold February evening, when Melissa was four and witnessed Jessica throwing a drunken Luke out of the house. Luke slammed the door and was never seen again, leaving Jessica to raise two daughters on her own in the two bedroom duplex.
Jessica did the best she could, and used whatever tricks she had to make sure her daughters had the best life. Whether it was stealing the slightly-broken toys from the Toys 'R Us dumpster to repurpose as presents, or leaving a 16-year-old in charge of the entire top floor to make it to one of Melissa's gymnastics events. She was determined to make sure she nurtured her kids in ways her parents never did, and that determination bore fruit with Melissa, who proved a very capable student and a fine-enough athlete that her dancing and gymnastic lineage translated well into something that Melissa immediately took an interest to: cheerleading.
When she reached Rosefell High, Melissa tried out in her first year and made the Knights squad as a cheerleader. Immersed in the culture, Melissa quickly took a liking to the social status that cheering offered and the sheer control she had over her school life at that time. Being a cheerleader made you almost untouchable in school, and she used that ability to continue to get what she want. With her mom feeding her as much swag from work as she could, she remained on top of the latest trends and established herself as one of the queens of her year. However, that didn't translate to finding that king to her queen as she dumped numerous members of the Knights' football team, from Jaylen Thompson to Hunter Quinn to Marcus Prescott. It's made her question some things about herself, but that is the least of her problems. As she gets set for her final year of high school, and her new status as cheerleading captain, Melissa is ready to take these last two semesters by storm and make sure she firmly plants her flag as a legend of Rosefell for years to come.

As much as she hates being reminded that she is not the most famous Melissa Elliott and likely never will be, she does enjoy the music of Missy, as well as other hip-hop, pop and pop punk acts. Not soundcloud rap though. That stuff is lame.
Her favorite food is her mom's corn flake-baked chicken, which gets made on special occasions when Jessica has time.
She is fiercely protective of her little sister, and will go full-on berserk mode if anyone dares harm her. Although she worries how Zoey will fare on her own once Melissa is out of school.
Her Twitter and Instagram handles are both @queenofthorns, a nod to the Rose section of Rosefell, and she has 4,000 followers on the birb and 1,500 on the gram, because she's better with her mouth than her terrible phone camera.
Melissa's dream is to graduate from OSU and run her own business. What that business is, she isn't sure yet.
She has had confusing thoughts about Ariana Grande in a cheerleading uniform that she is still trying to work through.
Her ride is a 2011 silver Nissan Sentra, given to Melissa by her mom on her 16th birthday when she traded in for a lease on a 2017 model.

Hair: Auburn | Wavy | Depending on the day her hair could be down in voluminous waves that are reminiscent of the rockabilly style, with or without a headband to hold back her side-swept bangs, or rocking some form of a braid. Though she will frequently pull her hair up into a ponytail while she paints after one too many times of getting paint in her hair.
Eyes: Changes from blue to green depending on lighting
Body Type: Very curvy, but not overtly overweight, but thanks to her lack of height she would be mistaken as such. Her hips are wider than most, so her ample bust and large rear make her normal waist seem more hourglass-like, much to her dismay since she suffers from back pain quite frequently.
Clothing Style: Gothic, Grunge, Bohemian, Vintage styles (Such as Rockabilly) | If a vintage pinup girl shopped at both second-hand stores and hot topic, well higher classed versions of them since there was no way her mother would have ever let her wear anything someone below their class wore first. Not that she would have cared. Clothes were clothes, so long as she could wear them comfortably and didn't think of the number attached to them, she was happy to wear them. Favoring things that flatter her figure, or things she has been told flatter her figure, often dark in color and risque despite not much actual skin being shown. Lots of accessories and pins, sometimes they were lace other times it was leather with metal.
Makeup Wise: Her makeup is rather bold for someone with self-esteem issues. Eye-catching colors and crisp eyeliner and often her signature red lipstick to boot. Subtle isn't a look she normally goes for, but even when it looks like she isn't wearing some, she is. To cover her many freckles and imperfections she believes she has, but it's the closest many will ever come to seeing her natural look. Her nails are always painted both manicured and pedicured, expertly with designs, she practiced on her younger brothers.
Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: She doesn't have any scars or tattoos, but the skin of her limbs are often littered with things she drew while in class. Sometimes she dabbles in fake tattoos when she is stuck at home for long periods of time. Her ears are pierced three times on both sides at her lobes and the upper cartiledge.
At first glance, many would write off Juno as just a wallflower who tried to blend in as much as possible, but just kept choosing the worst ways of doing so. She always wore vibrant colors that the other girls did, but accompanied it with black. The scathing remarks of her peers to one another brought about her own sarcastic personality and quick wit that sometimes went over the heads of the very same girls who pointedly poked at her weight. What friends she did have was a result of having met them from pre-k and having been around each other till high school. After a few years of trying to expand her horizons at school, she settled unhappily into the place of a quiet, sassy fat friend label the outsiders of her friend group stamped onto her like a self-fulfilling prophecy she'd have to fake her death to get rid of.
It bothers her more than she lets on how often her friends get picked out of their group before anyone really notices her being there at all, and it would be a lie to say there isn't some resentment for it. Something she struggles with since she does deeply care and love for her friends who have stuck with her for this long despite their reasons for it. They are the only ones besides teachers who get to see the blossoming, intelligent young woman she is becoming. She's more than just a sassy remark and false confidence that she's brought out to fake it till she makes it.
Juno is highly creative and observant with an outstanding deep level of empathy that bleeds into her work, both written and artistically. Which is one of the reasons she's gotten rather popular online for her blog with the more risque works where she explores her more perverse tastes that she uploads often involving fanfictions or series she's interested in, though she goes under the pen-name there. The positive feedback from her followers and her friends do influence her enough to make her be better than she once was. Maybe she'll actually flaunt the more flirty side of her in person instead of only on the internet?
Born from the heiress of a makeup company who lived in New York that followed an acting career to spite her overly sexist father that wanted to marry her off for the company profit and the southern gentleman who lived in Georgia that was a well-known actor since he was a child. Their paths crossed on the set of a western movie in the following the lives of the people who lined the U.S. in train tracks. They were set as the main characters who started out with a rocky relationship that grew into more. Their real lives followed a much similar path, and when the dramatics of her father dragging her home to be arranged into a marriage, did he come to break up the wedding.
Or so her mom tells her, there was no real evidence of it outside of the very nasty looks her grandfather gave her dad when he came to visit them during the holidays when they visited her father's family in Georgia, thanks to her father being forbidden from visiting the New York residence. Juno's life was much tamer in comparison. There was no big scandal outside of her parents getting together and her being born a few months after their wedding, wheezing. She was born a few weeks premature, and her lungs were not as developed as they should have been. But as she got older, her asthma wasn't as bad since they settled in Ohio, far away from both sides of the family. She did however have a problem with baby fat since her father's family loved making sure she got her fill of food since she used to be so tiny.
By the time her two little brothers came into the world, she was pleasantly plump despite growing up like a weed. She was the tallest girl in her Pre-K class but that came at the price that once middle school came around, she would stop growing, upward anyway. She got to go to the best schools, but that didn't mean that the best people went to them. Only the richest for the most part and the few friends she had managed to get were the ones she clung to while growing up and trying to find her balance in the social sphere since her parents had no clue the specifics that were the world of children's status quo. It didn't help that no one believed they were her parents, and since she was often picked up by nannies or an extended family member that was living with them, there was no real proof outside for them to see.
She gave it a solid try at being like her friends and the other girls, but she didn't fit into the same pegs for many reasons. Her size, her personality, or that she just couldn't really follow what they were doing since she didn't fully understand it herself. So she would have been left to sprout into a quiet wallflower if not thanks to her Liberty friends who kept her from falling too far behind. However, she did grow quieter after a particularly bad prank in middle school when she was at the cusp of her getting used to puberty hitting her like a truck with the gifts her mama gave her with them genes. Where one of the boys she was hopelessly crushing on like the awkward butterfly she was, asked her out only to then prove it was all just one big joke that labeled.
The anguish and spite fueled her to explore different and more anonymous avenues where she really came alive. Online with a blog, and a need to vent her frustrations of all kind, she took to writing and creating art that transitioned frequently into some steamy works that grew very popular the longer she continued to make them in her free time when she wasn't hanging out with friends or her brothers while her parents were off for work. With highschool coming around, she took up the mantel with a newfound confidence that wasn't fully genuine of her artist label, dabbling in gothic and vintage styles since it was easier to find things that fit her that looked nice for her to wear. Learning makeup to cover up some of her least favorite things of herself to make it just a little easier, and let the boldness of her style speak for her when her voice couldn't.
With them being transferred her senior year to Rosefell, she's honestly hoping for the best since she already likes dilapidated and dated things. This is a good excuse to actually walk into a Hot Topic.

Dee Sexual Chocolate TDD (Tall. Dark and Delicious)
Jock - A Bad Bad Boy
Hair: Brown/Black - Usually kept in a short fade
Body Type: A solid 230lb of pure muscle
Clothing Style: Dee dresses commonly in his sports clothing (joggers, t-shirts and his letter jacket) or occasionally in jeans and a nice button down shirt. He wears a rosary around his neck.
Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings:Dee has both ears pierced and has multiple scars over his body, none too distracting, mostly caused by the usual childhood mischief. He does have a large scar on his left arm from being attacked by a police dog.
Generally speaking, Deshawn Marcus isn’t much of a talker. Most would agree that he’s pretty kind and sweet natured but it is the early hardships in his life that truly shaped Dee’s personality. He is tough, cynical and brutally honest and seems to be burdened by a somewhat compulsive need to save people, a factor that often results in both admiration and annoyance because he can’t seem to stay out of trouble. Deshawn much prefers his own company a lot of time and enjoys disappearing for a run or a hike for hours at a time just to clear his head. In spite of this need for independence, Dee is very empathetic and understanding of other people and has no qualms with working with a partner or group as shown by his time on the football team.
He is somewhat shy and finds it hard to properly allow his emotions to be seen other people. Deshawn is prone to solving problems with his fists rather than with his head and is seemingly always involved in fights even if said fights don’t really have anything to do with him. The streets of West Baltimore are a dangerous place for a child to grow up, Deshawn is the perfect advocate for that.
When you are born and raised in a place that has in the past been named Bodymore, Murderland your trajectory through life is pretty much mapped out for you from the start. Deshawn Marcus was brought into this world on a cold winter's eve in West Baltimore. His old man was a well known enforcer for one of the heavier gang sets and also worked as a longshoreman on the dying docks. Dee didn’t really have a lot of fond memories of those early formative years. He doesn’t really remember his mother, only that she wasn’t around anymore and that his father was someone you did not mess around with. The few good memories of when he was a child pretty much centred on trips to the zoo and the makeshift forest of his imagination.
As soon as his old man deemed he was old enough, Deshawn was on the corner, selling drugs. The life of a corner boy was pretty much his entire existence if not for the fact that he was one hell of a football player. He was allowed to play for his high school as long as he earned a good chunk of money slinging dope for his dad. Thanks to an early growth spurt and the workout he got every other night running from the police, Dee got real big real quick and damn, the boy could play. Towards the end of his junior year, Deshawn’s father had a group of his friends over for a party, Dee on this particular day was in the house acting like a waiter for the drug kingpins of Baltimore. It didn’t take long for things to take a turn, the house was firebombed and shot up. Deshawn and his father survived but only just.
After the assault, social services finally decided to step him and took Dee from his father, who didn’t really put up that much of a fight to keep his first born son. At such an advanced age, it would be a miracle if anyone wanted to remove Deshawn from the system and give him a home. Either luckily or un-luckily for him an uncle he didn’t know existed decided to take him in and soon enough the hard streets of West Baltimore had become the hard streets of Columbus, Ohio. Uncle Denzel was just as strong willed as his old man but he was on the straight, a former army captain and current school teacher; this kind of environment was good for Dee. Almost immediately he was recruited for the football team but Deshawn made it a priority not to fall into the jock stereotype.
After a year in Columbus, Dee had pretty much established himself as a gentle giant, don’t fuck with him and he won’t fuck with you. You need a hand, he’ll be the first at your door. Still, an air of despondency hangs over him like a cloud. A troubled past could put a stop to a bright future and that terrifies him.

Hair: Dark Brown | Thick and Kinky | Usually worn in plaits or braids
Body Type: Athletic | Lean build. Around 190 lbs. Much more muscle than fat.
Clothing Style: Streetwear | He always wears the freshest pairs of sneakers you've ever seen. He takes pride in his shoe collection, and often builds his outfits around whichever pair he decides to showcase for the day. He'll pair his shoes with jeans, joggers, or shorts, oversized T-Shirts/flannels, and accessorize with fitted caps and chain necklaces. The majority of his clothing comes from thrift shops, but he'll actively save money to buy any new shoes that hit the streets.
Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: JJ has both of his earlobes pierced, as well as his nose. He doesn't have any tattoos, but already has plans to get a sleeve and chest piece once he turns eighteen. JJ also has a few on his legs and arms from minor football injuries and childhood incidents. Nothing too big.
Anyone who knows JJ knows that he enjoys a good laugh. Whether it be on the football field, in the classroom, or during lunch or any other social gathering, you can always count on JJ to find ways to make those around him smile. A true goofball at heart, JJ loves seeing others happy, and will go to great lengths in order to do so, whether it be by cracking a few clever jokes or performing one of his signature touchdown dances in the end zone. His goofiness also ties in with his heavily flirtatious ways. Truth be told, JJ would flirt with anyone breathing, regardless if he's romantically interested in them or not. He enjoys the banter. Where's the harm in a little innocent teasing? Jay is also an optimistic guy, and is very hopeful about his future despite how bleak things seem to be at the moment. He has a tendency to try and see the bright side of every situation, as well as the best in all people until they show him otherwise.
It's no secret that JJ is a little cocky, specifically when it comes to his football and dancing skills. He knows that he's got talent, and almost always starts a little drama on the field with his shit-talking and showboating. He knows how to fire up the team and the crowd with his ways, and will never hesitate to do so. An impulsive person by nature, JJ often does things without completely thinking them through. This is easily seen by how many risks he takes, both on the field and off. Jay also tends to be pretty secretive when it comes to certain things such as his home life; although he knows that nobody (yet) at Rosefell is rolling in riches, he still can't help but feel as though inviting his friends over to a place where he doesn't even have his own bedroom or introducing them to his dysfunctional family would be too big of an embarrassment.
JayVaughn was born in Detroit, Michigan to Brenda and Moe Spencer, a couple in their late twenties who'd been together for only five months before conceiving their firstborn child. Soon after JJ's birth, the pair moved their little family to a small apartment downtown, which was all that they could afford with Moe's job at the local auto shop and whatever money Brenda made on the side from braiding hair. Life was good for the first few years of JJ's life. Despite growing up in poverty, he could always count on his parents to love him unconditionally and supply him with all he needed to grow into the young man he was destined to be. It wasn't until JJ was eleven years old and finally took note of his mother's opioid addiction that things started to take a turn for the worse.
Slowly but surely, Brenda began to spiral out of control; it wasn't long before the woman began to use money that had originally been set aside for JJ to purchase from her usual heroin dealer. She started growing increasingly distant from both her boyfriend and son, often opting to stay out later than usual, which meant that JJ would be home alone for hours on end until his father returned from work. There were even a few instances where she'd grow so angry with her child that she'd hit him repeatedly until it was out of her system. It was when these beatings began that Moe finally reached his breaking point and decided to take matters into his own hands. All JayVaughn remembered was being woken up in the middle of the night and carried to the backseat of his father's car, where he'd remain for a few hours before arriving in Columbus, Ohio.
Ida Mae Spencer, Moe's mother, was a woman in her early seventies who'd been living in Columbus her entire life; it was in her moderate sized, two bedroom home that Moe had grown up before moving to Detroit. Ida now lived in the home with her husband of twenty years and two of her other grandchildren, both of them only slightly younger than JJ. This was the first place that Moe thought to take his son while he helped rehabilitate Brenda. "I'll only be gone for a few months," he'd told JJ as he pulled two large suitcases from the trunk and handed them over to Ida Mae. "Three months tops, and then I'll come back to get you. We'll be a happy family again." But soon, three months turned into six. And six months turned into a year. It took two full years for JJ to finally come to terms with the fact that he'd probably never hear from his parents again.
It was football that got JJ through one of the toughest periods of his life. Football and dancing. It was during his last year of middle school that he found that, although his life wasn't the best, he had the ability to not only entertain and amuse others, but also the talent to ensure that his future kids would never have the kind life that he did. Freshman year, JJ was one of the few 9th graders on the Varsity team, and it was no surprise to any when he became a starter the very next year. Boy, was he fast. One of the fastest receivers in the city, that was for sure. And now that he's in his Senior year, all that Jay is really focused on is becoming the best that he can be in preparation for the future that lies ahead.
