Current Sorry for the delay everyone. I've been absolutely swamped with work these last weeks. I'm getting my replies up slowly.

Keeping track of things makes it easier to avoid bad experiences! And to not make the same mistake like an idiot... :-/

"Humanity takes great pride in three things. Their willpower, their greed and their mortality.

Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and accend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

Karina watched and heard the sightless and Hark exchanging words as one of the younger guards spoke inflamed and enraged words about his brother being locked up. Even though they were far from amicable and the tension was palpable in the air, they were still only talking, which was a bad sign for the group hiding upstairs and Týfurkh. Fortunately, things wouldn't keep like that for long. As an impatient cultist tried to thrust his spear into Hark, the first drop of blood was finally shed as Hark immediately countered his weak lunge and killed him with his very spear. Silence immediately followed as both groups looked at each other, the tension between them growing by the second. The moment Hark turned and saw the younger guard's dead body near a cultist, the fight finally began.

"That's our cue, let's go." Karina said briefly as she looked to the group before nodding towards the stairs. Even though the deterrent was still acting, even without her ice magic, Karina was still a fearsome opponent with her rapier.

Chaos soon ensued as the fight began, it would be highly unlikely that anyone noticed them going down the stairs, which meant they would have the precious element of surprise. The best moment to act was right now. Karina unsheathed her rapier as she ran down the stairs. Her aim was first secure Týfurkh, then to help Hark and the guards to fight against the cultists... As much as she could, that is. If things got too difficult and risky, Karina would certainly make a retreat with her group.

Maeve couldn't help but open her eyes slightly more, a bit alarmed when Sev mentioned that he had bad eyesight, offering a short explanation on how he used his light magic to correct his eyesight and see correctly. That meant that he would be less of a help than Maeve had initially thought... Together with the fact that Maeve herself was exhausted and tired meant that they couldn't hope to win that battle... It didn't need much for either one of them to realize that Bardus was indeed, incredibly powerful, after sealing their own powers and the magical pressure emanating from him.

"As much as I hate running from a challenge... We are in no conditions to fight him... I am incredibly tired and exhausted... Without my magic... I don't think we will be able to do anything." Maeve said, biting her lips in an expression of veiled anger.

Before either Maeve or Sev could say anything more though, luckily someone else appeared to give them assistance. Shouting to them and complaining that they had apparently 'picked a fight' with Bardus, as if they had any chance not to... Maeve recognized that voice as a somewhat familiar figure appeared, surprisingly enough, still using wind magic despite Bardus' spell. It was Sahale. Bardus seemed to be surprised by his presence, lunging towards him shortly after.

It was a short, but formidable exchange of blows between both Sahale and Bardus. Even though it became clear to Maeve that Sahale himself wasn't exactly someone 'normal', Bardus was still overpowering him, each one of his attacks taking quite a lot of effort to dodge or to block. When Bardus finally pierced Sahale's defenses and was about to kill him, once again, the mysterious Sahale had another surprise in his sleeves... A powerful wind spirit appeared in the last second, blocking Bardus' attack and flapping her wings to protect both Sahale, Sev and Maeve.

"We can't stay here... I can't fight him in exhausted as I am right now... We need to go as soon as possible!" Maeve shouted over the strong winds as she looked to Sev and Sahale, using the precious few seconds that the wind spirit gave them by distracting Bardus.

Both of them would be able to see that Maeve was incredibly irritated by what was happening. For her, the thought of having to run away from a fight was humiliating, but she wasn't an idiot... She didn't sleep at all and spent the entire night helping Neev with the wounded. She was definitely not in a condition she could fight a strong opponent or display her full capabilities...
Ada

@Restalaan@ShwiggityShwah@Stern Algorithm

Still confused about what to do, Ada was looking to the zombies and then to Ozzy, the time she had to think growing shorter by the second. Fortunately, Ada heard Ozzy calling her in the distance, telling her of an information she didn't notice before... The large zombie, the one that was holding the map, had dropped it in the middle of the confusion. As Ozzy told her to grab the map, Ada nodded with a determined expression, knowing exactly what she had to do.

Using the distraction Ozzy was creating, Ada lowered her body, unsheathing her claws and talons as she touched the ground before she dashed away in an impressive burst of speed. Ozzy would realize that the expression on Ada's face wasn't the inoffensive, cute one she always had. Instead, for the first time she did look exactly what she really was, as dangerous as she really was... A predator.

Using her agility, speed and balance thanks to her long tail, Ada dashed, evading and dodging the zombies as she ran towards the map, still on the ground where the large zombie had dropped it. Ada would try to grab the map without even stopping to run, using her claws to grab it and keep it secure on her hand. Any zombie that dared to put herself between her and her objective would find her claws, talons or even teeth tearing, cutting and sinking into their flesh without much resistance or hesitation.

Freyr

Freyr listened to Kira as she spoke. Indeed, she had a point. No matter what, if someone knew that they did help in a smuggling operation, that could bring complications to the entire guild later. Especially since they were a public organization, it was a risk they couldn't take.

"You're right. If the word gets out, it will probably bring us and the guild a lot of problems." Freyr agreed before Kira flew away.

As the guards came to took George away, it left a bitter taste on Freyr's mouth. Even though George was doing something... 'bad', he wasn't a bad man. He might have taken bad decisions, but he was a gentle and good man, at least is what he showed to Freyr until now.

"I'm sorry, George... I truly am." Freyr said, with heavy words as George bid his farewells to them, saying that they would meet again for new jobs.

After the job was 'completed' it was already dusk as the sun set in the horizon.

"Kira... If you want you can go ahead back to the guild. I think I need to put my thoughts in order... Maybe try to find a high place for me to watch the sunset." Freyr said, with a half smile as he looked to Kira.

Not much was needed for Kira to know that Freyr indeed had a lot of things in his mouth. The outcome of this job wasn't one that he particularly enjoyed... Even though it might have been the correct one.

Myra was definitely a bit annoyed that Darius was hogging the bed all to himself. Despite all her efforts, he was still sleeping soundly and didn't even make a little bit of effort to move so she could show the bed to Artemis. Looking to Artemis and pouting with an annoyed expression when she said to be careful to not wake up Darius, Myra was about to jump on the bed. If shaking Darius didn't wake him up, jumping on the bed would certainly do it.

Luckily for Darius, the very moment she gave up on shaking him and was going for the plan B, he finally opened his eyes. Just as he did so, Myra tilted her head as she looked at Darius' eyes, confused. Not only his hair was different but his eyes too had a strange color. Leaning forward, Myra sniffed the air a few times, the tip of her tongue darting in and out of her mouth as she did so, wanting to confirm if that was really Darius.

Surprisingly enough, judging by Darius' own reaction, he too was alarmed by the sudden changes in his appearance. Myra gave a step back as he jumped out of bed, running to the mirror that was in the bedroom. As he started to explain, Myra looked at him, still a bit confused about all the sudden changes. Even though Darius himself said it was everything perfectly fine, Myra was still a bit wary about all that. It was obvious to Darius that Myra didn't liked when he mentioned the red crystal that he had smashed on his hand when he first arrived on the castle, saying that there was a weapon and now it was inside of him or something. Needless to say, Darius' incredibly clear explanation didn't help at all to make Myra less wary and worried about that but when he said he felt good, promising that he was fine, Myra ended up trusting him. Of course, she would still keep a close eye on any other changes in his appearance. Going near Darius, she gave a few more sniffs together with her tongue just to be sure, then looked at him with a smile, confirming that everything seemed to be ok.

With that matter dealt with, at least for now, Myra realized that Darius had finally got up from the bed, making her turn towards the bed and immediately jump on it, curling and wrapping herself on the bed's soft covers. Looking at Artemis, Myra got up from the bed and walked to her, grabbing her hand and gently pulling her to the bed, almost if telling her to do exactly what she did with the covers. It was clear to Artemis, seeing Myra's eyes almost shining, that she really wanted her to try and that Myra herself loved the bed and the soft covers.

Mikhail couldn't help but raising his eyebrow when he heard Jandar saying that the very man that had basically just attacked them wasn't an enemy. As Jandar continued talking though, Mikhail understood that he indeed had quite a few good points about the situation. He still thought that the man was incredibly dangerous, especially after knowing he had a band of compliance on him.

"He is an incredibly dangerous man. It would be wise to not take risks with him. No matter his circumstances, he is still working for another queen and thus, not our ally." Mikhail said.

As he mentioned getting out of the town though, Mikhail nodded. With their disguise ruined and their presence probably already known to the local queen, they had to disappear as soon as possible. If not... Things could probably get even more complicated.

"Is it possible for you to remake your disguises? If not, we might have to use our sight shields... Although it might not work perfectly well..." Mikhail said as Jandar was going to check on Dareen.

"Call my name if you need me. We still need to at least try to maintain whatever is left of our disguises." Mikhail announced as he got out of the bookstore, pulling up the hood over his head as he began walking in a slow pace around the alleyways like a beggar, always close to Jandar, Dareen and Fatima.

If they needed, it would be possible for Mikhail to possibly keep his disguise and keep acting inconspicuously while still using his sight shield to protect the group.
Nori Hirai

@medalliah@Spectral@IceHeart

Nori was a bit confused at first when the girl who was talking with Liam and Emily talked with him like she already knew him. The moment she thanked for a 'treat' Nori only became even more confused. He would certainly remember if he had met such an... exotic person before. The only other person he met that could be described with that word though was the strange girl that appeared when they were fighting against a monster... As he thought about it a bit better, he realized that, strangely enough, that the ice cream he gave the strange girl was exactly a month ago, just like she said now. When she confirmed she was the same person and even mentioned 'changing' back to that form though, Nori was visibly surprised. Even though Nori was meeting her for the second time, he only had even more questions about who really was that girl.

"Still an avid appreciator of food, I see." Nori said, laughing as the girl mentioned that she was planning to stuff herself after the parade.

"Our meeting is quite a coincidence though. As much as it was back then, isn't it?" Nori said with a smirk as Liam greeted him.

"I can't help but think that our mysterious friend might have something to do with it. Maybe it's her stomach that calls for us?" he said, teasing the girl as he gave a small laugh.

As the parade began, the group moved themselves to a good location to watch it and appreciate the band, the dancers and the cultural displays.

"Indeed, it is quite a spectacle. At least for one day, people take a break from their rushed lives to simply enjoy food, company and the parade." Nori said, with a smile, as he heard the girl.

Among the performers though, Nori saw a face that he could recognize. Together with the Seraphim High School gymnastics team, he saw Emily as one of the students who would perform.

The parade was truly entertaining and beautiful but on the background, Nori couldn't help but keep hearing a strange noise that was annoying him quite a bit. Something that was similar to the ticking of a clock... When the sound began getting higher, people finally started complaining, indicating that it wasn't only just something Nori was hearing.

"I've been hearing it for a while but I thought it was just me..." Nori commented as he heard other people talking about it.

In the blink of an eye, the panic began, interrupting the parade as a giant hook clashed with a strangely familiar flaming sword. After a moment analyzing the situation, Nori realized that the one with the flaming sword was Aria and the owner of the strange runed hook was no one other than another one of those strange monsters. Despite the obvious size difference, Aria still held her own against the creature, preventing it from causing more damage or harm to the others nearby. Unfortunately, the moment the strange runes began glowing, her sword almost immediately turned into ash, being struck by it and breaking one of the floats in half.

Before he could do anything though, the clockwork creature attacked once more. Unable to defend herself, Aria was struck once again by the giant hook just as she had managed to get out of the wreckage, already wounded from the previous attack. With a terrible sound, the giant hook crushed Aria, killing her.

Nori was a bit shocked by the situation that had just happened but he knew the dangers of fighting against such creatures and he was prepared for it. That said, it was still hard to be unfazed after seeing someone you know 'dying' like what had just happened. The entity though, seemed to be completely unfazed and almost like if she was annoyed that the parade was interrupted, showing no reaction seeing Aria dying like that.

"Indeed... They do have a terrible timing..." Nori said with a note of anger in his voice as he agreed with the entity and conjured his brush and did a circular movement, sending a streak of ink towards the creature as he jumped around the floats, dashing through them as he circled the creature.

Despite Sev's little joke about the strange man, it was undeniable that whoever, or whatever he was, he was a threat. For Maeve, Sev and anyone minimally sensitive to magic, it was obvious that he was much more than just a bandit. He was not on the same level the thugs they had fought earlier were.

"I don't think he might be just another bandit, Sev... Prepare yourself." Maeve said, breathing deeply and trying to gather every ounce of strength she could from her tired body.

It wasn't long until the strange figure finally spoke with them after Sev arrived. As he began speaking, Maeve couldn't help but doubt the man's sanity. Glorifying the exploded corpse, the still frozen bodies of the thugs Maeve herself killed and the literal bloodbath Allard caused made it clear for Maeve that the man wasn't all that right in the head.

As he finished speaking, the strange figure finally introduced himself, bringing down the farming tool, destroying the monument he was standing on with a single blow, making Maeve immediately unsheathe her rapier in a combat stance. Strangely enough, as the strange figure, called Bardus, floated to the ground, the fragments of the destroyed monument were falling in slow motion, almost if they were floating, despite the lack of any wind magic that could have explained such thing. The moment Bardus touched the ground though, the destroyed monument was released from whatever was making it act like that, falling to the ground, accompanied with a terrifying wave of power. Upon being hit by that wave, Maeve couldn't feel her ice magic anymore, almost as if whatever power Bardus used had blocked it off.

Maeve was truly concerned as she heard Bardus yelling that he was going to announce the coming of his king with their blood. A fight was clearly unavoidable and not only Maeve was exhausted after everything that happened, but her magic apparently wouldn't work against him as well... Of course, Sev was together with her but she was unsure of how capable he was without his magic...
Ada

@Restalaan@ShwiggityShwah@Stern Algorithm

Ada was still a bit surprised with the huge zombie she saw outside but seeing how Ozzy reacted to her having found her, it was, apparently a good thing. They had found the square paper thing they wanted but they had to get it from the huge zombie. When Ozzy proceeded to point at her almost as if he wanted her to do something though, Ada tilted her head confused.

It did take some time but thanks to the fact that Ozzy was using a piece of chalk to explain the entire plan, Ada was able to understand it perfectly well, nodding her head as she listened to him. Without much time to talk about the plan, as soon as he finished to explain it, he went outside with her. Ada didn't hide her excitement the moment he lifted her off the ground by the shoulders. It was only for a small moment, just enough so Ozzy could get to where the zombies were, but Ada still thought it was fun. The moment he dropped her though, she knew what she had to do.

According to the plan, she was supposed to distract the zombies and lead them away, but it soon became clear even to Ada that something was incredibly wrong. A loud noise and a cloud of dust appeared when the mass of zombies fell through the ground. There was still a good amount of zombies that were going after Ozzy and towards Ada, but the biggest part of the horde, that fell through the ground, was probably going after the rest of the group.

Not knowing what to do, Ada looked towards Ozzy, to the rest of the horde and then to Ozzy again. Outrunning the zombies was easy for Ada but it wouldn't be as easy to the others. Not only that but despite the fact that Ada herself could deal with a few zombies, their numbers were still a real threat by themselves, not even counting the huge zombie that had the map.
She could keep following the plan despite the unforeseen circumstances or she could go back and try to help the remaining group... The problem was that if she did go back, the zombies that were currently going after her would go back as well...

Undecided about what to do, Ada looked at Ozzy, confused. If he took too long though, she would simply try to go back to where the zombies fell through the ground and try to draw their attention. If they focused on her, she would still be able to outrun them so it could also work...

Freyr

Freyr wasn't surprised on how Kira reacted to George's bribe offer but still... the situation was more complicated than it seemed to be at first. Selling drugs, even if they were 'safe' was still morally unacceptable... Despite that, there was still a lot of things that could and should be taken in consideration when deciding if what George did was 'acceptable' or not.

"Many things should be taken in consideration if we want to decide if what George is doing is 'right' or 'wrong'... Are the drugs really that harmless? Do they make the users dependent or addicted to them...?" Freyr started talking with a distant stare, thinking about what was happening.

"Even if the drugs are completely harmless, it is still morally unacceptable. But why? If it's really not harming anyone in any way... There shouldn't be a reason... Or is it wrong simply because it's wrong?" Freyr asked to no one in particular.

"Still... I can't condone what George does, despite the points that I've just mentioned. It is undeniable that we need funds to do something about Ravager's Rest and maybe in the future... Varjo. Between someone who sells harmless drugs and bandits, monsters that don't even hesitate in stealing, killing and destroying other's lives... Which one is the worst?" Freyr asked, looking to Kira and then to George.

"I don't want to make a decision alone, not only because you are here with me but because I myself don't know what to do but... Have you ever met or saw what those people both at Ravager's Rest and Varjo itself are capable of doing?" Freyr asked, with a grim expression on his face.

"I don't feel well by simply letting someone who sells drugs keep doing so but... There are more pressing issues that need solving... In the same way, I don't want to be part of or help someone who does such things..." Freyr concluded as he looked at Kira. It was obvious both to Kira and George himself that Freyr was conflicted regarding what to do.

At first, Myra didn't really understand why Artemis didn't seem to like fish. It wasn't something Myra herself ate often as she preferred meat, but the way Zorrah prepared the fish made it really, really tasty. Since Artemis was a mermaid, Myra thought she probably hunted fishes to eat but judging by her reactions, it didn't seem it was really her choice of food. The moment Myra offered her meat though, Artemis hungrily took and ate it, making Myra smile, satisfied that the mermaid woman was liking the food, despite the fact that Myra wasn't the one who prepared it, instead she only ate...

After finishing, once again, putting a sizeable dent on the kitchen's provisions, especially meat, Myra gently grabbed Artemis' hand as she went to her and Darius' room, wondering if Artemis would like the soft and fluffy bed that Myra herself liked so much on the first day she arrived. As she gently took Artemis by her hand though, Myra started to think... Artemis was a mermaid, that meant she liked water... Then maybe she would be like Darius that was much more moved and happy with the bathroom and the shower than the bed itself... Despite that, Myra thought that Artemis would definitely like the room.

The moment they arrived on the room though, both Myra and Artemis would be surprised to meet no one other than Darius himself passed out on the bed. Just from a single glance, both were able to see that Darius was incredibly exhausted. While being careful to not wake him up, Myra moved a bit closer, curiously looking at the still sleeping Darius. The moment she did so, she realized that his hair was somehow... different. It had a different color than it had before. Myra didn't think much of it, simply finding it curious and a bit strange, since she was already accustomed with Darius' hair having the same color. After inspecting him and his new hair, Myra tried to gently push him to one side of the bed. She wanted to show Artemis how fluffy and comfortable it was but Darius was simply taking most of the space...

It was very exhaustive but Maeve somehow managed to keep up with Neev, who despite being even more tired than she already was and having already exhausted her magic, kept running from one patient to another to help them. Even though Maeve wasn't exactly skilled with healing magic, Neev's orientation showed to be quite clear and precise, making it easy for her to help. Maeve did notice how the healer girl didn't react to the fact that the man was a Grusk. She was still a bit careful around him but seeing how Neev herself had no different reaction, she simply kept her thoughts to herself.

It did take a good amount of time, but thanks to everyone's efforts and Neev's instructions, they were finally reached a point where they could say that they had 'finished', at least for now. Unsurprisingly, Neev instantly collapsed the moment they were finished, being caught mid air by a man who was also in the temple to help. After taking her somewhere to rest, the man returned to thank Maeve for her support.

"It was indeed incredibly exhausting... Her dedication to her work is admirable though. It was lucky that I was here to help though as she was starting to show clear symptoms of magic exhaustion." Maeve said, stretching herself as she nodded to Vog after he said that he was tasked to keep her safe.

"It's probably best for me to rest as well. Opponents of the level of those bandits would never make me tired, but using healing magic, which I'm not that proficient with, for long periods of time sure made me exhausted." Maeve finished as she retired herself to rest even if for a bit.

It was already dawn but she slept only a few hours before the entire attack began. The moment she was on her way to Allard's inn though, she was met with quite a peculiar sight outside. Balancing himself on the tip of the pillar on the center of the square, a mysterious figure waited, alone. Wearing a basket helmet and occasionally producing puffs of smoke from the pipe it had was simply there, waiting, almost as if it was waiting for someone or something to happen. Despite having only taken a brief glance at the figure, it was enough for her to realize that, whoever that was, had a magic aura so powerful it was almost palpable.

Gently putting her hand on her rapier, Maeve approached the square, stopping some distance away from the monument, looking at the strange figure on top of it. The more she looked at the figure, the stranger it got. It was carrying a heavy farm hoe, replete with unmistakable blood stains and carrying a weird, dried up hand on his belt. The strange figure seemed to be studying Maeve just as curiously as Maeve was staring back at it.

"Who are you?" Maeve finally asked, looking at the strange figure. Despite the fact that Maeve had still a calm tone in her voice, the fact that she had her hand in her rapier and her piercing stare were enough to tell the figure that she didn't trust it. Maeve was doing her best to hide the fact that she was exhausted, but she would appreciate if she could avoid a confrontation at the moment.
