Archer of... Cooking?
Fuyuki Church, Second Morning

@EnterTheHero@Reflection@Yukitamas@Scallop@Kyoka

As the sun rose and the roosters crowed, the Masters of the Church Alliance would awake to the smell of ham floating through the air along with the sounds of a busy kitchen. "Remember, you're only toasting the muffins until they are a light golden brown, anything more and the composition of the dish is completely ruined. Then we have to start all over again, everything must be perfect!" Anyone who entered the kitchen would bare witness to the sight of both Archers in cooking aprons while preparing various foods. She had protested at first, both to being forced into cooking and the cooking apron, but Tesla's Single-Minded nature couldn't be deterred and she inevitably ended up in the kitchen. The cooking aprons were also incredibly pointless, but Tesla absolutely insisted on them because "Safety in both lab and kitchen is paramount!" They would also notice the many different kitchen appliances Tesla had built, all running off of System Keuranos. The kitchen was comparable to a five star restaurant, no even better. It was a restaurant of the future, just as Tesla was a man of the future. Berserker was also in the kitchen, wearing a matching apron, but he wasn't doing much. A Berserker can't perform delicate tasks like simmering butter after all.

Breakfast would be ready soon after, most of the pews in the Church had been demolished to make room for a large steel table that seated everyone. As Tesla served the various plates to the Masters, even making enough for the Servants if they wanted to eat, he prattled on about the exact nutritional facts of the eggs benedict he was serving, speaking so fast that nobody could actually understand a word he said. After breakfast was finished, Tesla collected the plates just as quickly and rushed back to the kitchen, dumping them all in the sink for someone else to clean. "I am off to the marketplace to get groceries, the ingredients in this fortress of the gods are quite lacking." He said as he walked past Suzaku, throwing on his coat as he opened the door and left. Tesla didn't bother closing the door behind him as he stepped on a flyer which had landed on the front step, not paying any attention to the stray piece of paper. He needed to gather his materials as quickly as possible if he wanted to be in time for lunch.

Commerce District, Second Morning

The kindly old shopkeeper smiled as Tesla carefully studied an orange, prattling on about how kids these days just didn't pay attention to the quality of the food they were eating. He nodded without really listening, placing the orange back on the table as he reached for another one to study this one in closer detail. A scientist cannot work with poor materials after all. Ten minutes later Tesla was gone with a sack of ingredients in one hand and an apple in another. As he took a bite of the apple, he observed the small town with a hint of a smile on his face. To be alive again, what a miracle. And not only did he live, he lived in the time of his own greatest inventions. This ritual has given him a second chance at life, a second chance to fulfill his dream of granting mankind infinite power. But he would not use the Grail to do so, no. that would be much too easy, hardly even an accomplishment really. Instead he would use the Grail's power to give himself a flesh and blood body once more, achieving his dreams with his own hands. Armed with knowledge of both magecraft and the most advanced science, he could set forth into the world with confidence and power that he had never had in his first life.

As Tesla day dreamed of his return to the living, he was snapped out of his musings by a flyer pinned to the wall of a shop. "Hmm. How odd." It appeared to be advertising a bar run by two men with a very strong bond from what he was reading. Gin and... Chiron? Tesla instantly accessed the Throne of Heroes databse just to confirm his suspicions and found himself proved right. Chiron, the centaur who had taught so many famous heroes. 'Master, you may want to see this.' Assuming Suzaku activated the link between Servant and Master, he would be greeted by the flyer in Tesla's hand. Whether this be a challenge, taunting all and prodding enemies to attack just to see what happens, or just a regular old bar, one thing was for certain. Tesla was definitely going to go there later, he absolutely adored alcohol in life. But right now, he wanted to get back to the Church. So he continued on his merry way, musing what his first drink would be. Perhaps a stiff bottle of whisky would be good.

A small snore echoed through the classroom, the source being one tiny blonde girl who slept through class every day. Nobody bothered to wake her up, last time the teacher tried she "accidentally" broke their nose after they startled her awake. Nothing ever came of the incident, she looked like she was nearly on the verge of tears when it happened so everyone just pretended it never happened and moved on. But since then, nobody has been brave enough to try and wake her up from one of her infamous naps, not even the teacher. So the classroom was nice and empty when Ami finally woke up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she let out a cute little yawn. A few minutes later and she was on her way to the Detention Club with a stick of pocky in her mouth, strawberry flavored, and a pep in her step.

The door closed quietly after Maiko had opened it loudly, only for it to slam open once again which everyone would know meant the other loud girl of the Detention Club had arrived. And of course the first person her eyes landed on was Kanbaru, who never responded to her call last night. A small pout formed as Ami stomped over to Kanbaru with a new stick of pocky sticking out of her mouth. "Jeez Kanbaru, it's pretty rude to ignore someone when they call you ya know? What if I was having an emergency!?" Ami wildly gestured with her arms in the air, hopping backwards into a nearby chair with a surprising amount of accuracy despite her attention being solely on the icy girl in front of her. She landed with a solid thump, immediately regretting that as a small wince of pain showed itself. Landed right on her tailbone.

Chen had to hold back a chuckle at the tense attitude of Yoshiba, he could already tell what type of girl she was. All business, pushing to be the best of the best, probably wanted to go to UA but had to settle for Isshin. She absolutely refused to look at Chen, but her hair gave her away. She was paying full attention to the boy and he was going to make sure she kept doing so, maybe break through her stony exterior while he was at it. "I can use any honorific I want huh? Hmm... well then, I know what I'm going to call you from now on." His smug grin grew just a little wider as he leaned towards Yoshiba, hovering over Takara a little in doing so. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Yoshi-tan." Was it a little mean that he was trying to get a reaction out of someone he just met. Maybe a little bit. But it just wasn't healthy to be that tense on such an important day.

Which is perfectly embodied by the girl who just asked if the seat next to him was taken, looking like she was about to have a breakdown any second. "It's empty isn't it? As far as I'm concerned, that means you have the pleasure of sitting next to me." Chen winked as he said this, his natural charisma practically oozing off of him as he motioned for her to sit down. Another girl entered the auditorium as well, another first year was his guess. She introduced herself to everyone quite loudly, which was the only reason she had managed to catch his attention really, but what kept his attention was how stiff she was. She looked like a robot almost, her joints weren't moving at all. "Jeez, you guys really need to chill. It's like you're all showing up to your own execution and not one of the most prestigious academies around." He leaned back into his chair and sighed, showing how relaxed he was. "Come on, today is the beginning of our journey into becoming heroes! Put a smile on your face, you made it!" Chen announced to everyone in the room loudly, earning himself a few peculiar looks from older students.

"D-did you see this city already... It is quite big isn't it." Chen's attention swerved back to the girl who had just sat next to him. Oh right, she wanted to talk to him. Chen's smile went away for a second as he looked at the ceiling thoughtfully, was Sapporo really that big? Maybe she wasn't from a big city like he was, so he supposed it could be considered pretty big.

"Yeah, I guess it's pretty big. But you should see my hometown Tokyo, it makes Sapporo look like a place out in the sticks!" Chen's smile quickly came back as he laughed a little at the end of his statement. Someone else came to introduce himself, prompting Chen to introduce himself once again. "Adachi Chen. It's a pleasure to meet you and it's a pleasure to meet me." Truly Chen's arrogance knew no bounds.
Archer of Lightning
Fuyuki Church, First Night

The moment that Berserker landed a clean hit on the Saber was when Tesla knew it was time to go. He didn't need to use Natural Genius to know that the battle was going to be winding down soon, prompting all Servants to return to their Masters to protect them form other Servants. It was common sense in a war like this really, which is why Tesla left about half a minute before Berserker did, arriving at the Church right as his Master began his telepathic message. Tesla. Rendezvous at the doors. Activate the Fence. And prepare yourself for... surgery, I suppose- your little pet project, or one of them, at least, proclaims himself a doctor. Perhaps we can do something with that. He laughed loudly at the description of the alliance he sought to forge, to compare something as trite as a non-aggression pact to one of the experiments he was so famous for in life was quite amusing. And he made sure his laughter was very audible to his Master through the link they shared.

Regardless, he followed Suzaku's instructions, activating the fence around the Church after Berserker made his way in. Keeping him out would be impossible after all, he would destroy the fence in his attempts to reunite with his Master, might as well save everyone some trouble. Regardless, Tesla remained ready for anything as the Berserker entered the Church. Tesla moved past Xerxes with haste, his posture radiating boldness and confidence as he reached a empty space where there had once been a podium, the head of the Church one might say. A fitting position for the Modern Prometheus, for even while missing an arm and being heavily poisoned one need only look at Tesla to see that he was confident as ever in his plans, with the ferocious looking smile of confidence on his face as his hand sparked with electricity. He raised his hand upward and then thrust it downward, forming a grand throne of lightning for him to rest his weary body. But even as he sat down, resting his lone arm on the armrest of the chair, he radiated the aura of a king almost.

After waiting for everyone to arrive, Tesla cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "As you saw from the battle outside not ten minutes ago, the Holy Grail has summoned quite the Heroic Spirits this time around. I can tell you this with certainty, the next week will be the bloodiest week you've ever seen or will see in your life. If you are lucky, you will make it through this war seeing your enemies fall before you. If not, you won't be seeing anything ever again. But I believe you're all very lucky. After all, you have decided to unite under our roof, this bastion of purity in the midst of the battlefield named Fuyuki City!" Tesla slammed the armrest with his hand, a loud crackle of energy sounding off through the Church as he grew more and more excited through his speech, his manic smile growing wider.

"I would like to propose an alliance between all of us. I believe that with all our strength combined, not only can we make it through this war alive, but we can crush any who would oppose us under our heel, like stamping on a cockroach! Even the mightiest heroes couldn't hope to stand to the combined might of three warriors at once!" Tesla rose from his chair with purpose, beginning to pace back and forth as he continued his speech. "I can prove my claims with statistics as well! I've been running the numbers for the past ten minutes now, if the fight between the Saber and us had continued we would have inevitably overwhelmed her within the hour! And that's just with Berserker and I, imagine how quickly she could've been the dealt with if we had included a third Servant! The possibilities are endless!" Electricity was sporadically arcing from Tesla to the ground as he paced, his excitement peaking as he stopped right in front of his throne, turned towards the group once again, and swept his arm out towards everyone, looking like someone who had led his entire life.

"So I ask you all! Do you want to survive through this Holy Grail War? Do you want to see your foes driven before you? Do you wish to savor the taste of victory? If so, join us in our great experiment! Join us in our conquest!"

Chen cracked his neck as he stepped off the bullet train, stretching out his arms and yawning loudly as several very annoyed people moved around the obstruction in their daily lives. He covered his mouth at the tail end of his yawn, muttering a quiet apology to nobody in particular as he began moving once again towards the stairway down. The trip itself had been pretty boring, Chen had just listened to a podcast on his phone for most of the ride, only taking out his earbuds once he realized he was close to his stop. It was at this moment that something occurred to Chen. He had absolutely no idea how to get to Ishin from the bullet train stop.

Well this is embarrassing. No way is he going to ask some random stranger where his own school is, that would just make him look bad and the school, as well by association. "Hmm. What to do, what to do." Despite this major problem, Chen didn't look particularly worried or nervous. He could solve this problem with but a minute of thought, such a conundrum was nothing for a guy like him. Perhaps he could just follow someone there. Yeah, just follow another student there! Of course he had to find another student first, but he would be able to identify them by uniform no problem. As Chen's eyes scanned the crowd, he noted all the various people going about their lives, so many different Quirks. And he had the best Quirk out of all of them.

Finally his eye caught sight of a girl wearing an Ishin uniform asking for directions, perfect. He would just follow her to the school. It never occurred to him that if she got lost then he would get lost as well, luckily it didn't come to that. He hiked his bag up onto his shoulder a bit and began following after Takara with confidence, now ready to truly begin his journey to becoming a hero. He also put his earbuds back in and resumed his podcast, Kamui Woods had some interesting stuff to say about deforestation and how Quirks are vital in protecting the environment.

He arrived at the school with some time to spare, so he made sure to stop and smell the roses, metaphorically speaking. There were no roses around the school, instead the awe inspiring sights were induced by the building itself. Large, grand, imposing to some. This would be where Chen stayed for the next few years of his life and it would be where he formed his skills. It would also be where he formed important connections, the most important part of being a hero. Doesn't matter how strong or smart you are if you can't land a job with a good agency.

After he spent an appropriate amount of time admiring the building, not too short as to not appreciate the architecture but not too long as to appear weird, he made his way to the meeting hall, once again catching sight of the girl he had followed here. Perfect, he could sit right next to her and strike up a conversation while he waited for the assembly to start. With hands in pockets and cocky grin plastered onto his face, he sat down next to Takara as she began speaking to the blue haired girl. His eyes scanned over the two of them quickly, the blue haired girl looked way too serious for his liking. But she was going to be a classmate nonetheless, so he would just have to get her to wind down a little.

"Hey there, I saw you at the bullet train earlier. Are you not from around here either?" As he spoke up Chen made sure to make eye contact with both girls as he flashed his best confident smile, cranking up his charm to maximum levels. "I'm Adachi Chen by the way. Pleasure to meet you two and likewise I'm sure." He winked at the end of his introduction, crossing one leg over the other as he leaned back into his chair.

Tesla frowned as his lightning was neatly redirected in but one swing, it would appear as if basic projectiles wouldn't work against this Servant. Annoying to be sure, but it just meant he would have to step things up a notch. He began to channel more power into his hand as he aimed at the dueling Servants, the frown on his face fading as he aimed upwards and shot into the air. The lightning disappeared into the clouds, leaving Tesla to observe the approach the Berserker was taking in this fight.

"Ah, a classic strategy. Surround the opponent from all sides while they're unbalanced, they have to take a hit somewhere. Well, if this was a normal opponent all their routes would be cut off." Indeed, a Servant could've easily taken the vertical route and taken to the air to avoid the assault by Berserker. The keyword being could've, as the lightning bolts that had taken to the skies were now falling upon the mystery Servant with extreme prejudice, these bolts of energy looking much bigger and much more unstable. Indeed, there would be no protection from these bolts, as they would simply explode upon contact with anything, be it the ground, a weapon, and especially an enemy Servant. The downside to tactics like these is how easily one could injure allies, but that wasn't too worrying for Tesla. Either the Berserker would dodge or it would be hit and continue the fight. And if he accidentally killed the Servant well, that's one less opponent in the war isn't it?

And Tesla didn't stop with just the one volley he had shot into the sky, he was now making sure to pepper the battlefield around the Servant with explosions of lightning in an attempt to fry the intruder. Tesla's grin only grew wider as he laughed aloud, perhaps this night hasn't been so bad after all.

It burns. Oh god it burns it burns it burns the fire seared her weak flesh and crept into her bones the burning was unbearable she would do anything to make it stop please stop the burning- she couldn't handle the pain, the unbearable fire paralyzed her whole body in pain. So her brain did a reboot of sorts just to escape the pain for a moment and prevent her from going into shock. She went unconscious for but a moment, but when she woke back up the chaos was beginning to die down. The goblin she had tackled was dead, while the one she had fired her Mana Blade at was bleeding out as it clutched it's throat, gasping and gurgling. How pitiful. Orochi was on top of the last goblin that was trying to attack Digbie, while Digbie had thrown a stalactite at the retreating duo of the magic Goblin and the human Goblin. The Lizard they had saved was attempting to kill the already dying Goblin, a bit pointless but she wouldn't begrudge it for being more than a little vengeful.

The human Goblin managed to deflect the stalagmite, but at the cost of her sword. She was effectively defenseless now, carrying away the burnt Goblin with both arms occupied. Her monster brain and her human brain warred, on one hand she didn't want to kill another human, regardless of what they may have done to her. On the other hand... she would pay for burning her soul. She would pay with blood. "Oberon, I need healing! I'm going to chase after them!" With what little mana she could muster, she picked up the rock that the Goblin had dropped and dashed after them, moving past Oberon and the other Pixie in her pursuit of Crispy and Orchid. She would not let her prey escape, not when there was so much blood in the water. "Finish your prey quickly everyone, the hunt begins!" She would probably regret this later, apologize to the human Goblin extensively, but right now the animal she was is in control. And it was hungry. As she made dashed towards the retreating duo she made a slight detour through a mana crystal, shattering it with her rock and feeling it instantly dissolve into energy for herself to use. Tasty.

Tesla had heard his master loud and clear as he watched the giant adorned in gold carry his Master towards the Church from the woods. Suzaku would be arriving any minute most likely, it looked like their pet project had been very efficient in annihilating the zombies which had attempted to invade their workshop. His arm hung limply by his side, it was likely going to rot off within the next hour or so, that would have to be taken care of as soon as the invading duo was dealt with. This first night has been very turbulent to say the least. While he had effectively lost his arm, as well had a myriad of other effects inflicted upon him, they had gained something very important out of that exchange. Knowledge. Knowing one of the enemy Servants was Shuten Douji, a Berserker class with Prana Burst and a deadly poison based Noble Phantasm was one of the greatest advantages one could have in a Holy Grail War. Tesla's arm could be replaced and maybe even enhanced given time, but the tactical advantage he had over the Oni King could not be taken away.

Despite the pain that plagued Tesla, none of it showed on his face as the massive man and his master ran to the Church with a sense of haste and urgency, like they were running from something. 'Master, the duo you sensed appear to be fleeing from something. Perhaps they are in a similar situation to us?' As he said this, the thing that had been chasing them finally came into view. Another Servant, this one wielding what appeared to be an invisible weapon with the ability to use the wind as a projectile attack. The golden Servant responded quickly, summoning skeletons to use as cannon fodder and two massive axes to use as weapons. Well, at least it was clear what class that Servant was, only a Berserker can be that chaotic. The other Servant was difficult to get a read on however, so he instead turned his attention to the Master of the Berserker.

Tesla pointed his hand at him slowly, electricity crackling in his palm as he considered the pros and cons of simply killing the Master right off the bat. 'Master, I have found the cause of the disturbance. A Berserker and his Master are fleeing from another Servant. I am going to aid the fleeing duo and try to spark an alliance.' Without waiting for a response Tesla turned his hand towards the cloaked Servant, firing off a bolt of lightning at high speeds to distract them from the Berserker's much more potent attack. Several more shots of lightning followed, each one accurate enough to thread a needle despite both his Migraine and distance. Time to prove why he had been summoned as an Archer.

Umm, Kanbaru was already driving away. And nowhere near Hag since she didn't fight her, so....

Ami Murota

A frustrated scream rang through the construction site as Ami smashed a pile of frozen debris into a puddle of what used to be a Nightmare over and over, venting her frustrations on her pitiful take this night. "I can't believe I wasted my time on this! I should rip your head off for this!" She screamed as she turned to the hag, looking almost like a crazed animal in her rage. First her partner doesn't bother to show up, then these two light Magical Girls steal most of her prey for no fucking reason! They don't even use the energy, they just purify it and throw it into the wind or some bullshit! Ami stomped towards The Hag, trembling as she pushed past one of the other Magical Girls and stared into the light Magical Girl's eyes with a burning fury radiating off of her. "You're going to pay. YOU'RE GOING TO PAY!" With that being said she screamed, lifted her sword into the air... and jammed it straight into the ground as she began counting on her fingers, mumbling random numbers to herself as she did some form of math.

"Three hundred dollars. If I had spent tonight making money for rent instead of killing Nightmares, I would have made three hundred dollars minimum. So that's how much you owe me." And with that Ami wrenched her sword out of the ground and walked away, leaning against an ice covered piece of debris as she pulled out her phone and called Kanbaru with a cheery smile on her face. If she answered Ami would immediately go on the attack, letting Kanbaru greet her before shooting off rapid fire questions. "You said you were doing movie night right? Is that still happening, because I can bring sweets if you want! I would just have to swing by the store on my way, I ate all my donuts before our little get together that just happened ya know?" All traces of the inferno like rage that had just plagued her were gone now. Now all that was on her mind was sweets. Delicious delicious sweets.
