A New Years Eve party was a big deal for Fawn, really any party was a big deal for the small girl. She really hadn’t been one to be invited to parties before, something about how a deaf girl couldn’t really be that fun or maybe it was something about her being to weird. But that didn’t really matter now because here she was, getting ready for a party.

Now what did one wear to a party… that was really something she hadn’t ever had to deal with before so she just based an outfit idea on what she had seen in movies mixed with her very limited options from her closet. So basically Fawn just ended up in a simple sundress and no shoes with her natural, long, messy hair down like usual. Looking at the clock she realized she had time to go the long way walking.
Smiling happily to herself she grabbed her purse with her whiteboard and markers then ran out of her trailer. Ignoring her parents as they called after her asking her where she was going. Tonight she wanted to enjoy herself, so that is what she is going to do.

Fawn lived nowhere near the beach, quiet a good distance away actually, so why walk? Well she loved to explore the outdoors. Maybe it was the name or maybe it was the different sensations she felt through her feet that she didn’t get when being driven around, it didn’t matter. What did matter was that she enjoyed it and walking to the party was a new adventure for her.

The first party of her adventure had her walking through the small forest her house was built in. Though short, this part probably took her almost as long as the urban part as Fawn often got caught up just standing in the middle of a clearing with her eyes closed, ‘listening’ to the movement in the forest through the vibrations in the forest floor. This time she also got a bit stuck in some mud for a few minutes, which definitely didn’t help with the set timeline for her walk she had in her head.
Once she got out of the forest she had a small walk through a bit of suburbs to get to the most urban area of the hills. This was another favorite part for her as the cars passing by sent weird vibrations through the concrete on the road, which she often got scolded for walking on even though she couldn’t hear the scolding and didn’t bother reading the lips of whoever was doing it. This time after one scolding she didn’t go back on the road because she realized she was getting odd looks, mainly at her feet. She didn’t want to keep drawing attention to herself and get in trouble with the cops again like she had before, that got Fawn in bigger trouble with her parents.

After she got out of the Urban area she finally reach where the party was happening, just as she arrived there seemed to be a conflict ending which she was glad to have missed. Fawn was good keeping out of conflict, especially if it was school conflict. Going towards the party Fawn could see the excitement through the door but when she got closer she remembered an important thing. Her feet were muddy.
The small redhead frowned and a defeated look took over her face as she looked at her feet, maybe she really wasn’t cut out for partying. Who comes to a party with muddy feet. None of the other girls did, nor the guys. She felt inadequate compared to them, plus she wasn’t sure if people would really want someone like her there. She couldn’t have a normal conversation, it took her awhile to write out answers and sometimes people had to repeat what they said slower so she could read their lips better, those both had lost her friends before.

Deciding she should just head home, Fawn turned from the door and began to walk away. She doubted anyone would stop her, but she was a little bit hopeful.

"Matty come on. Mom and Dad won't know or find out plus I really need to return Grayson's camera and get mine back. I know he will be at the party so it's the best chance to do it since I'm supposed to take pictures at the church Sunday." Miriam pleaded with her brother, already dressed for the party. While the younger sibling was for the most part being truthful for her reasoning of wanting to stop by the party, she did have an ulterior motive of wanting to get her brother out of the house. Something he had been refusing to do since returning home, only leaving for church or church events.

The mission trip had taken her brother, put him through hell and thrown him back into a household of his own personal hell, one where she knows he feels alone. He had told her. That was one thing that luckily hadn’t changed, their trust for one another. Miriam trusted Matthew with everything and Matthew trusted Miriam with everything just the same. Matt was thankful for having that relationship with his sister. He knew even if he felt alone in his house Miriam was right there besides him, even when he couldn’t see her. The siblings shared a bond that no one else could quite understand nor would anyone else in their lives ever make it anywhere close to that type of bond.

Unfortunately that bond came with some downfalls, for example when Matt was going to say no he saw his sister pull her puppy dog face, once she had perfected years ago, that he could not ever say no to. “Ugh… fine Mimi. But on two conditions!” The elder brother held up two fingers with one hand as his other ran through his already messy blonde hair. ”One, I am not changing. Two, we do not stay longer than an hour, preferably 30 minutes!”

Miriam grinned widely at her brother doing a quick once over of his outfit to make sure it was good enough for a New Years Eve party. He had on tan pants with a blue button up long sleeve over a white t-shirt. It wasn’t too casual but not too fancy either so it was good enough. ”You’ll have all the boys falling for you while we are there Matt! Now let’s go. We can’t be late or else I may never find Grayson.” Miriam grabbed Matt’s hand after carefully grabbing Grayson’s camera bag, then she dragged him out to his car as he groaned grabbing his keys off the hook as they passed the place where keys hung. If there was one thing he hated his sister talking about, it was about him getting out there or anything about him and other boys. Not after what he went through, but Miriam refused to let him hide away fully from who he was and if there was one thing he knew about his sister it was that she was stubborn and if her mind was set on something then it would happen.

”You can get your keys back when I decide it’s time for us to leave the party. Now go see your old friends. Make new ones! Have fun Matt! It’s New Years Eve! Basically the time for new beginnings!”

A frown formed on his face as he watched his sister runoff after stealing his car keys and giving him a pat on the cheek. Pinching the bridge of his nose he began to walk towards the party after her, ”I am so getting her back for this…” Walking by different people Matt looked around, seeing new faces and old. It was weird to be at a party again, he hadn’t been since before… he shook his head. Matt didn’t want to think about that, not if he was going to be forced to be at this party for however long his sister wanted them to be there.

His sister wanting to be at a party, being willing to stay at a party reminded him of how much had changed since he left. His sister talked about never participating in such an event where she could be tempted by the devil in so many different ways. Miriam had even told him one time her freshman year that she was actually scared of the idea of partying. Obviously that was no longer true, she’d definitely become less religious since he left. Matt kept it to himself, but he was honestly proud of that, it proved and showed just how much she cared for him and really was on his side. Even if she ditched him to fend for himself at this party after being gone for over a year.

Looking around Matt decided he wanted nothing to do with all the sweaty, dancing bodies in the main area so he pushed himself through the crowd, giving small waves to those who noticed and somehow remembered who he was. Once getting through he went out onto the back deck and leaned against the back railing staring out at the beach and ocean, letting his mind wander. But he was snapped back to reality when he heard someone approach him and begin speaking to him, turning to face the guy talking to him he couldn’t help but instantly notice how attractive the guy was. Refocusing on the guy’s words, ”-you are new? Oh and would you like a beer?”

”Uh, sure thanks.” Matthew took the beer, trying to ignore the fact that a part of him was definitely turned on by that sweet like honey Texan accent. ”I guess you could say I’m new in a way, just been away from school I guess is the best way to put it.” He let out a chuckle that was somewhat sarcastic but if you didn’t know him you wouldn’t be able to tell that well. When the guy introduced himself as JJ, Matthew smiled reaching his empty hand out feeling a minor surge of confidence that he wanted to use while it lasted. ”Matthew Archer, but most call me Matt. Pleasure to meet you JJ."

This boy in front of Matt was doing something to him that he didn’t know how to react to and he knew this boy was probably going to change his life. For the good? Who knows, but it was a chance he was willing to take at this point. His life couldn’t really get much worse than it was. Maybe he’d be thanking his sister by the end of the night, now that would be a shock… but a good one. One he was hoping for.

”You can get your keys back when I decide it’s time for us to leave the party. Now go see your old friends. Make new ones! Have fun Matt! It’s New Years Eve! Basically the time for new beginnings!” Giving her brother a quick kiss on the cheek she ran off before he could steal his keys back from her. But as soon as she reached the actual party she became more like she was at school.

Stepping inside the door and looking around she held Grayson’s camera bag closer to her. Maybe she should have left it in the car, well it was too late for that. Mimi would just have to do her best to protect it by keeping it close to her. Doing so she pushed into the crowd, immediately regretting doing so. At only 5’0” she was easy to push around and get moved without wanting to be. This was her first party and the younger Archer was definitely beginning to regret choosing to come, but she shook that thought out of her head because this was for her brother… and for Grayson as his camera bag was currently hugged against her chest. Mainly for her brother though.

With more determination she used her shoulder to push against people saying the occasional ‘excuse me’ and ‘sorry’ as she did so until she spotted her friend Pippa. Deciding to just go talk to her for now she began to make her way that way, but when she got closer Miriam noticed that Pippa was holding hands with Grayson, making her smile. It was obvious the dark-haired girl liked the boy and seeing this made her happy for Pippa. The situation was also highly convenient for Mimi.

Quickly making her way to them, she tapped both of them on the shoulder before returning to holding the camera bag against her chest as people were still pushing against her. She was not going to have made it this far just to lose the camera. ”Hi Pippa. Hi Grayson.” Mimi tried to talk loud enough to be heard above the music, but she wouldn’t be surprised if she could be heard. Being surrounded by so many people brought out her shy side which meant she naturally just talked quieter. Looking down at their hands and looking to Pippa, she gave the girl a knowing smile before turning to Grayson. ”Umm Grayson, I have your camera. We must have somehow switched by accident.” Once again hoping she had been heard, she looked to them and waited for them to say something. Feeling a bit awkward standing still in the middle of the party.

Looking away from the incoming waves Marina turned her attention to the sun’s position and noticed that it was probably time for to her head to the party. She had been surfing for most of the day and by the looks of it, had let time get away from her. The girl originally was going to stop by her house, shower and get ready for the party but it looked like she was gonna have to come up with a plan B. Not that she minded, surfing was what the rest of her life revolved around so she knew she could handle the situation.

Turning back towards the incoming waves Marina grinned, there coming her way was the perfect wave. Quickly lying down on her stomach and turning the board swiftly, the beach beauty began paddling moments before the wave caught up. She had set herself up perfectly, the wave and her board becoming the perfect match as she pushed herself up. Standing up she rode the wave, it was a perfect tube allowing her to perform a tube ride. Impressing the other surfers whom she had been flirting with all day and the ones who just got there; who looked at her and saw someone who couldn’t possibly be talented with a body like hers. Well, Marina had the looks and the talent AND she knew it.

As she exited the ocean carrying her surfboard she turned and waved her fingers at the boys in a flirty wave. ”Bye boys~” With a wink she blew the gawking surfers a kiss and made her way to the storage area for surfboards. A place that they did not have in Australia but this was Beverly Hills, so it wasn’t all that surprising. Plus it made it easier for her since she drove a motorcycle.

Dropping off her surfboard she grabbed her dilly bag and went to the nearby locker room, sitting on the bench and opening the bag. She pulled out whatever clothing she had in there only to realize she only had another swimsuit and her pair of shorts she wore earlier. ”Oh darn…. Well, this will have to work.” Standing up she slipped off her wet swimsuit and showered before drying off and putting on the other swimsuit and slipping her short jean shorts on over it. She then added a bit of makeup before stuffing everything back in her bag and leaving the locker room.

Once she made it to her motorcycle Marina opened the seat and threw her bag in grabbing her fringed black leather jacket out, closing the seat after before putting her sunglasses and jacket on. The blonde revved her engine before taking off at a fast speed quickly merging onto the main road of self-driving cars. That was something she would never understand, the appeal of having a vehicle to drive for yourself. The surfer much preferred feeling the wind blowing her hair behind her as she raced down the road, weaving in between the cars. It was perfect for her daredevil blood and desires within her.

Pulling up to where other cars were parked Marina found a place to park her motorcycle, turning it off and getting off she threw the keys into the seat compartment before locking it so only her fingerprint could unlock it. She smiled and looked around at everyone entering, following after them and heading towards the beach house.

Seeing Owen out front she smirked and blew him a kiss with a wink when he was looking her way. The blonde shortly entered the house and paused looking around the area, ”Now where can a Sheila get a grog?” Finally setting her eyes on the bar she noticed it was busy. She had no desire to wait that long for a drink so she came up with another plan.

Throwing off her jacket and hanging it up on a random hook she found her target, a sophomore basketball player walking away from the bar with his friend and a fresh drink. With a flirty smile on her face, she made her way to the boy and stopped in front of him causing him to stop and look at her. She smirked at him before grabbing the front of his shirt and pulling him to her, kissing him. In his shock, he lost grip on his drink but luckily Marina was ready. She pulled away and turned around before looking over her shoulder taking a sip of her new drink. “Thanks for the grog mate.” With a wink she sauntered away from the boys who looked after the girl in shock. The girl walking to find someone to mess with, flirt with or talk to while drinking her drink.

Finally finished my lovely lady. May edit this a bit later but for now, here she is for all to see!

@Apollosarcher@Hero@Argetlam350 I feel awful this took so long! I'm sorry! Life for me has just been insane since the holidays and it still is insane because, unfortunately, it wasn't just regular holiday drama. But that is my worry, not any of yours. I promise it will never take me that long again with a reply unless something as bad as the 'holidays' happens. Hope you are still all in this, I would understand if you aren't! I wouldn't blame you at all.
