Bio:
Caroline was born to a working-class family in Pittsburgh, PA. Her dad (Nathan) was a construction worker and her mom (Kate) was an RN and grew up with 7 siblings (4 brothers and 3 sisters). Her love of Classic Rock was born at an early age because her parents listened to it constantly especially the music of Bruce Springsteen (they met at a Springsteen concert in 1977 on a blind date). While Caroline loved her family there was a drive for her to one day leave Pittsburgh and see what went on beyond the Steel City. This drive was further enhanced when her mom died of cancer during her 8th grade year. She realized that no one lived forever, and Caroline wanted to make the most of her life. However, with her family financial situation the chances of going to college were at best slim. While in High School Caroline tried out for the Cross-Country team and discovered that she had a real gift for long distance running. So much so that she was awarded a four-year scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh.

Caroline wasn’t sure what she wanted to do with her life when she at the University. She bounced around from a couple of majors, but nothing seemed to click for her. Until one night in the middle of her sophomore year life changed forever. Caroline was up late working on a history paper and was listening to the radio station on Campus. She loved the way that the DJ made her feel relaxed and helped her with his music choices push through a paper that was proving to be a problem, and she called to thank the DJ. He noted that she had a great sounding voice and he was impressed with her music knowledge and invited her down to the station. Caroline was blown away by what she saw, and Caroline impressed the program director with how at ease she was having a mic in front of her but how quickly she caught on to technical aspects of the job. Caroline was hired to be the late-night weekend DJ and very quickly developed an almost cult following. She adopted the name “Caroline Macmillan” because the name “Macmillan” was her mom’s maiden name, so it is her tribute to her mom.

Caroline’s time at the University of Pittsburgh was just about done and trying to find a job in radio was proving to be difficult. She still had the hope of leaving Pittsburgh, but no one was returning her calls. Caroline was looking at the prospect of working at an all jazz station or an all-news/talk station, but then two months before graduation her roommate came through for her. She had an Uncle who lived in the Northwest and was good friends with a radio station owner in Sol City. Her roommate sent Caroline’s air check to her Uncle who sent it onto the station owner. He heard it and knew he had a star in the making. The only reason he didn’t call her sooner was because he didn’t have an opening for her. A shift working overnight opened up and he flew Caroline out for an interview. Her charming and friendly personality quickly won over many of the station staff and the owner. He offered her the time slot and with that Caroline’s adventure to the Northwest was underway.

Her roommate’s Uncle let Caroline stay with them until she had enough money to afford her own place, and eventually she did move into her own place. Caroline has been living The Light Lane area for the last six years. She loves the small shops and the cozy atmosphere. Caroline’s career is moving along very nicely. She is the number five rated DJ in the market and more than a couple of stations have been trying to contact Caroline to hire her away.

Personality:
Caroline comes across as very outgoing and friendly which she is for the most part. She enjoys being the one in a group setting to make a joke and keeping things light and easy. Caroline is very smart, and she uses her intelligence in her sarcasm (which she uses frequently). She driven to do the best that she can but not at the expense of hurting others. Much like her astrology sign Caroline likes things balanced.

For all her outgoing aspects Caroline does enjoy times of just being still and quiet. She still misses her mom and her family more than she will admit.

*What part of the world are you from? I live in the Northeast currently

*How many years have you been writing/roleplaying: I’ve been doing table top and online RPing since…well when I started Indiana Jones had just gone after the Lost Ark.

*How often do you have time to post? It usually depends on how active the group is to be honest. I usually fry for 3-5 times a week.

*Anything else you want to mention? I am a librarian who holds 2 Masters Degrees and I am looking to get back into RPing after taking a break for a little over a year.
