I can't believe people who pitch an RP with under a paragraph of information get anywhere. I don't want to join anything that isn't fleshed out a bit; Even if I do like either the fandom or what I've read of the RP pitch. While I can understand brainstorming an original idea with other people, this is more of just the GM's jumping into the RP idea barebones with no plot planned ahead, and nothing to show in the OOC but a poorly put together character sheet and the usual braindead common sense rules and people somehow don't have a grasp on without being told they're bad things to do.

God, yes. Iwaku was a damn mess, and I hated it there. It took me awhile to even be able to navigate the forum properly, let alone get into a roleplay: And it always took much too long. RPGuild has always been simple, with no clutter until Expanding Horizons came along, but opinions. Iwaku will always be worse for me because it attracts some terrible people, though. RPGuild has it's share of real shady people, but due to our size it's not as bad. Not to mention mods are quick to step up when something's wrong, usually. Never seen much mod work on Iwaku, but I never required it personally because the time between me being on there and Guild coming back wasn't very long.

And as we all know, I love crawling back here.

Iwaku has a more active moderation community per my experience, so I can at least sort of vouch for it. But that should be a given since they have a larger and more organized moderation hierarchy; but they also have different ideals and policies than RPG does. But duh. Water is wet and such. I think the amount of “shady” people Iwaku attracts is overstated, but people like to think having an ERP subforum automatically makes it a den of depravity.

I'm just going off personal experiences, as I've never really known anyone on there as well as I've known people here due to that short gap of me joining and RPGuild being brought back, causing me to leave. I ran one RP on Iwaku and it was going pretty smooth for awhile, and i have to admit that the coding for posts is deliciously good. I don't know, something about Mahz' homecooked disaster zone here is much more appealing still.

At least after we were able to put hiders in hiders. Before that this was the stone age, and I was dying inside.
